Small park with a field, a playground and a washroom. It serves well the community and it looks well maintained even in the winter.
Performed a small ceremony here for a bride and groom before they went on a destination wedding and even during a somewhat rainy day it was a beautiful spot for us to celebrate their joyous occasion!

Heritage Park owned and maintained by the City of Barrie, located at the waterfront near downtown Barrie. Amenities include walking paths, duck pond, stream, bridges, picnic tables, gardens, gazebo, and public washrooms. Mobility impaired accessible. Popular for wedding photos when the flowers are in season.

Minus the homeless drug addict losers that loiter. Pretty nice spot.
Great place for a walk and a lot of parking. It’ll be even prettier once the leaves start changing colours!

It's a great place to fly from if you have a drone as you get some nice skylines from Barrie downtown & waterfront
Love this place. I take my kids to feed the squirrels and chipmunks. I enjoy the layout of the place , the walking paths and open spaces as well as all the different plants and trees to see. Very relaxing place and never seems crowded when I’ve been there. There’s a nice big park attached too for the kiddos
Beautiful and very peaceful park

Grandkids loved it large park very clean and lots to do has splash pad also
Great playground. The splash pad is amazing. There is also a little skate park for the kids to play. There are a few picnic tables but bring a towel or blanket and relax out in the sun
This park has outdoor washrooms which is so great. You can spend an entire day here. There is a beautiful hiking trail in the woods. Large fields to play sports. And my kids absolutely love this play ground.
There are two structures, one of them being great for little ones.

There are even picnic tables which is perfect for hosting parties.

One of my family's favourite parks.

It is really a sloping beach with a stunning view of the Simcoe lake . Good number benches to sit ,relax and watch the lake.
What a gem!! 😊 Several splash pads alot of fun for kids. Parking was plentiful.
Didn't see any picnic tables. Had a lawn chair in my trunk. Sat in the shade of one of the tall trees and relaxed. It was nice
This expansive green space inside the city of Barrie is one reason to visit the city (and great spot for locals). It has spaces to play, walk, picnic, and is dog friendly. Well worth a walk about here!

Excellent, calm and fully natural.
The best park in Barrie! We are so lucky we are literally 5 mins walk away from this lovely park. It has a Splash pad, Skate park, Tennis court, Basket ball court , Track and field and Baseball court in one park! Take note it is also close to Dominoes pizza and a convenience store.

Parked at the Heritage park where the parking is less expensive. Along the Lakeshore Dr, parking is outrageous. The park around the gazebo was beautiful.

We came on Victoria Day. Beautiful view, very peaceful spot to have a walk on a sunny afternoon. Two complaints thought - 1. You have to pay to park, on a holiday! Not a whole lot of money, but really?! A quick google search tells me it's free on weekends/holidays, but the parking machine had no issue taking my money. 2. Lots of mosquitoes, to the extend that our time at the park was not enjoyable. We had the intention to stay for a couple of hours but in reality we fled in less than 15 minutes. Rather disappointing experience there.

Spent all my summers here with our family's cottages here in the early to mid sixties. Played all day on the sand bank.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Sloping Beach in Barrie, Ontario, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. This review is a testament to the natural beauty, tranquility, and stunning views that this beach has to offer.

From the moment I set foot on Sloping Beach, I was captivated by its charm. The beach is nestled in a picturesque location, surrounded by lush greenery and overlooking the shimmering waters of Lake Simcoe. The sight alone is enough to calm the mind and transport you to a place of serenity.

The beach itself boasts soft, golden sand that is perfect for lounging or taking leisurely walks along the shoreline. The cleanliness and well-maintained condition of the beach were impressive, making it a welcoming and comfortable environment for visitors. The absence of litter and debris further added to the overall appeal.

One of the highlights of Sloping Beach is its magnificent sunsets. Watching the sun dip below the horizon, casting a warm glow across the lake, was a truly awe-inspiring experience. The vibrant hues of orange, pink, and purple painted the sky, creating a breathtaking backdrop that left me in complete awe. It's a sight that shouldn't be missed.

Another aspect that sets Sloping Beach apart is its peaceful ambiance. Unlike some crowded beaches, this hidden gem offers a more secluded and intimate setting. Whether you're seeking solitude for some quiet reflection or enjoying a romantic picnic with a loved one, you can find solace and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The amenities at Sloping Beach were also well thought out. The presence of clean washroom facilities and convenient parking made the overall experience even more enjoyable. The lifeguards on duty provided an added sense of safety and security, ensuring that visitors could relax and enjoy the beach worry-free.

Whether you're a local resident or a tourist visiting Barrie, Ontario, Sloping Beach is a must-visit destination. It's a tranquil haven that offers a respite from the demands of daily life, allowing you to reconnect with nature and find inner peace. I highly recommend taking the time to explore this hidden gem and witness the beauty it has to offer

Bylaw need to enforce the no smoking policy. Too many pot smokers near the playground and children.

Absolutely love this place. It’s a great place to bring the family. The trails are well maintained and clean. Its so beautiful to walk and explore, they’re is also an amazing park and lots of open area for kids to play. The open areas, beautiful flowers, plants and trees make this a must go place in the summer.
Very beautiful place to spend my morning
Adore this park. The kids have a play area. The trails are nice, whether you choose you have short or longer ones or explore the depths of the forest. If you choose to venture inside you'll get a beautiful view of a stream with a bridge and a different feel of the park. The open areas, flower beds and variety of plants makes this park well worth it.

Fun place to visit! Kempenfest was going on so lots of rides, games, food, vendors....beach is right there...washrooms available. There's a wooden boardwalk for pedestrians and a paved trail for cyclists. Lots of benches and places to sit and people watch. Plenty of shade. Doggos welcome but not on the beach. Parking is free on weekends but $10/hour M-F at the Marina. I'll be back some day for sure.

Great park to take the kids. There is a playground, a splash pad, and a skate park. Plus there is a store/plaza right next to it, however, there is very little shade and seating so be prepared to get hot in the sun.

Nice park with large fields and a nice jungle gym. Swing areas can be very wet after rain. Some drainage issues. Also has soccer nets.

It is a small beach off the walking Trail opening on lake Simcoe. The area is surrounded by huge green trees and a pathway is also there for people to view the beautiful woods and the lake. From the beach one can see the Downtown just across the lake. The beauty is mesmerising and fantastic. There are enough benches provided for relaxing.

Short But Delightful Stay
We were on our way back to Toronto from a long road trip last summer (Aug 2021) and decided to make a brief stop at this park. It's right in downtown Barrie. We found it well maintained, clean, and pleasant enough to go for a stroll. Lovely view of Lake Simcoe (at least the bay).

Sandringham was our practice field before the tornado in that area. One of the nicer diamonds in the city. Nice area and the upkeep of the Diamond is excellent.

Clean park, my kids love it!
This park has everything: splash pad, playground, basketball court, baseball diamond with watching stand, tennis court, skateboard, loop trail with light, picnic gazebo, free parking. It's next to a community Center. There are several shortcuts from residential area to the park.

Great walking path along the lake. Small picturesque bridge adds a lovely touch if you are looking for a photo op - it’s a popular location for photographers. Plenty of benches to sit and take in the views. Close proximity to downtown with shops, restaurants and cafes only minutes away. Ample parking available.
It's a big park with free parking and public washroom. The rental gardens are arranged neatly. There is a small forest with a trail. An old tree caught my eyes. It's like the one in fairy tale. There is a baseball field, basketball pad and tennis court.
It's a big community park with a rental garden. There are two soccer fields, a basketball court and a tennis court. It's next to Eastview Arena and high school.

A nice park for the kids. They enjoyed the playground equipment which is in good shape. There's a decent number of benches for parents. We'd go back again for sure. Avoid the soccer field in the spring or after a heavy rain. It's not drained very well.

This is a park where they have a playground and grass in a field to play the sports on. This is not a clothing optional area as there are children at play and they do not need to see your doodle. I saw a lady bug and it was in the open like African lion safari but free!!

This is a great park with lots of parking. There's space for nearly every activity you can dream up, here. There is a play structure built for bigger kids, a play structure built for smaller kids, a bike path, a large field for playing ball games or flying kites. It's close to a busy road but there is a hill and trees to divide the park and make it feel secluded. The only change it would be nice to see, would be if they added a little skateboarding section.

This is a very clean park. Easy to walk here from our home. It's nice that there's a Porta potty right beside the play area, makes it easier to stay longer with small children. No matter what time if day, at least one of the benches will be in the shade. Two separate play structures- one for bigger kids who can climb, the other more appropriate for toddlers. My daughter loved it!

The city of Barrie is doing a good job keeping this park clean. We'll maintained soccer pitch. Just wish people would clean up after themselves and take water bottles home. Better yet don't use water bottles.

Twisted my knee that other day. 15/6/22. Lawn maybe needs a good roll.

Awesome water front. Great for walking, biking or roller blades. Family friendly with 3 washroom facilities. Info center at the south end eside the war memorial. Fish swim hike and the downtown is spectacular with lots of restaurants with patios. Lots of interesting stores.
