The park itself is one of my favourites in Aberdeen, even though you can sometimes find shady characters, and unhinged youngsters messing about, but again, that's not the park's fault.
River Don flows on top side, and there are some gorgeous gardens inside. Playground for children, big enough to jog for a few minutes, can enjoy a bit of the wildlife (geese, ducks, many other birds), and St. Machar cathedral, and other picturesque points worth seeing.
Parking is not a problem, but drive slow, since the access is narrow, and you can find bikes, children, dogs along the way.

It's such a lovely place. Great for walking the dog. There is a substantial play park and walled garden. If you enjoy nature, there are otters, swans, and various bird life in cluding woodpeckers. Red squirels are present, too.

Great pitch for kids to play on. Top of the hill in Aberdeen means it's lovely in summer with great views and sunset is lovely, but in winter it is freezing here. Wear warm clothes unless you're the one playing sport! Lots of dog walkers in the area and the odd random motorbike on the surrounding grassy area. No toilet facilities on site but there is a local sports centre nearby (which is not always open) parking available on street or in northfield school car park.
Super walk if you like listening to birds and flowing water.

Lovely park, very big as well. There are bins around and many pathways to take. Some people do BBQs there which I think is nice. I think otters can also be found in the waters next to it. The trails are out of dirt so if you go on the rainy day they will be muddy. There is a playground for children. It’s very beautiful, definitely recommend visiting on a nice sunny day.

Beautiful park, and it's huge! So nice to see kids playing on the equipment, adults playing Frisbee, and all the people walking their dogs. Had a very peaceful and picturesque walk next to the river in search of otters, but only managed to find a lovely swan couple. Stopped in the cathedral on the way home. Absolutely stunning. Great day and well worth the visit if the weather permits and you're in the area.

Not been here in a long time, but still well kept by the gardeners. Early signs of new life coming through. Will return in the Spring/ Summer.

A beautiful path through the park. Well maintained and clean. Very relaxing. Free entry. Well worth a visit, highly recommended. We walked through after visiting the church, just before sunset. You can definitely take world-class photos of a sunset there. I'll be back.

This is a great park on the outskirts of old Aberdeen, it's well kept & the flowers are simply amazing. The best part about it is, there's absolutely no litter!
Good spot for a seat, have a quick picnic

Gotta love the smell of weed in the air 🤭🤷‍♀️
Nice use of the space. Sand pit for kids to play and plenty seating. Always seems to be someone smoking weed there tho and stinks the place out.

On the day i was there, even though it was sunny, the wind blowing around the rooftop was strong enough to make it chilly.
This is a beautiful park where you can spend a while! It has a free car park if you are driving there. There is a great play area for the children (it is beautiful and colourful) near the car park. I loved the walled garden but also the part that take you into the old Aberdeen. From there, you can also walk along the river and to the sea. The map available on a board at the entrance is helpful to help you get around. I went twice in 2 days. If you are in Aberdeen, don't miss it!
Filled with neds, deals happening left and right, bin fires every weekend

A very nice wooded hill to walk in, has many interesting rock features. Many blowdowns from past storms. Nice views towards RGU. Did feel a bit secluded, had a fright when this random man kept turning up in same direction I was.

This is one of the better parks in Aberdeen- and I would say it is second only to Duthie Park. It is beautiful and reasonably spacious. The greenery is properly maintained, and I was particularly impressed with the variety and arrangement of colours in the foliage. This park showcases some really good landscaping!

It’s a good place for picnics and to come with dogs and children for playtime. I enjoyed my time here. The only downside I can point out is that, unlike Duthie Park, there seems to be no cafeteria or eatery on-site. This might be inconvenient if you’re looking to grab a quick bite in the park.

Such a beautiful park! Really nice and peaceful; we were here end of season but the flowers were still giving a show. Had a lovely walk by the river before popping in to the cathedral. There’s a great park (not pictured) for the kids too.
Really nice break away from the city life, we all get caught up in everyday life forgetting the most important thing! We are living. Nice little safe car park, lovely walk down the river don & this awesome little park is honestly just the cherry 🍒 on top.
While here having my lunch free thinking I had to pop out my Sony A7iiis just as this little cub fox was walking around. Just perfect timing I guess, quick edits on my s21 for l to enjoy.
Just like this little park ❤️👍

This park has been taken over by the Aberdeen Harbour Board. I don't know why because it's supposed to be a gift to all who live in Torry. They say it will be return to it's former state when they complete the new harbour but I'm not hopeful at all.
Fab for having a walk with my dog n friends n family

Nice place to go and sit and relax in the city centre. Also a little play area for children
This a very small walled garden. There are no facilities here, but I only say that for information, it in no way detracts from the experience of visiting here. Its a lovely, well maintained small garden that you can walk around in 5 mins or sit in the sun and spend a couple of hours here. The variety of Acers' is particularly worth the visit.

We parked up and visited here before heading along the Woodside River walk... Also highly recommend!

Quick update: April 2022, pleased to say the gardens are still wonderfully maintained, just had a lovely stroll around.

Walker Park? What's that? Didn't even notice I was in or near a park!
Instead I parked the car at Torry Battery and went for a nice walk along to the lighthouse. Highly recommended it.
So not a lot of people to day, but weather not as good. No rain though, however there are slot of dog bins around, but not slot of them being used, please pick up after your dog, and bin it don't leave lying around, or in gardens, or on roads, not in parking bays either any general waste bin.

This is one of the highest points in Aberdeen which means that the view is wonderful. You can see the ocean, the hills and the city. It can get a little windy.

Lovely woodland walk that’s ideal for dog walkers, families and those who enjoy exploring.

The woodlands feature a large Obelisk which commemorates Prince Consort Alberts visit to Banchory Devenick House, and is inscribed with “In remembrance of the visit of H.R.H. Albert Prince Consort to this spot XV sept MDCCCLIX (15th September 1859)”.

Tollohill also has a Neolithic aged Short Cist and remains of a small Ring-Cairn, just south of the Obelisk, which was first recorded in 1994, and would be around 2,000-4,000 years old.

I used to play here 50+ years ago. Back then it was some wild land, which we called The Woodies, but it was not a park or anything. Just a wee bit of the countryside.

There were indeed trees there and ramshackle lock-up garages, We would play there as kids until it got dark, when we would start to find it scary.

For me, it was a shortcut from the bus stop and Broomhill Terrace. I went to Broomhill Primary and then Later Aberdeen Grammar School.

Fond memories.
Every time of the year, something different

The Bruce Garden is a hidden gem in Aberdeen. It is located off Walker Road in Torry. It is a community garden and is well looked after. At the moment there are plenty scattered leaves as the autumn season is upon us. I was pleased the hydrangea was still in bloom...just. It is a wonderful quiet spot and if you wait long enough you never know what you might see.

Beautiful Walled Garden, very tranquil place. The stoned wall keeps the wind away and the place is suitable for just sitting on a bench and enjoying the sun ☀
Take a book with you if you intend to spend some quality time in the garden, or just have a sit on a bench, close your eyes and enjoy the fragrance from the flowers in the garden, birds singing and peace..
Parking spaces outside in front of the garden,

There is a path that runs behind the Walled Garden from Bridge of Don Danestone up to Ellon Bridge.

A walk along the river gives you the opportunity to admire the flora and fauna of the place, ducks, swans, cormorants and other birds, and you can observe here and there a couple of fly/rod fishermen that enjoy their hobby 🎣

Seaton park ⛲ is very good place to visit and walk around & the hidden garden is beautiful very pleasant.
Beautiful memorial garden. Excellently kept and maintained. Lovely place to sit in the sun or to walk dogs.
There are two gates, one big one at the front from the car park. One small one at the back leading out to the river banks. There is a lovely walk along the river bank.
The gates can be closed therefore the garden can be fully enclosed if you want to exercise dogs safely away from the road.
Please keep the garden in good condition and clean up after your dog as others have done. There are plenty of bins.

Lovely wee wood popular with dog walkers who all seem to pick up. Good place for sledging too. There's a high fenced games area that I see teenagers use in the summer, schools use it too I think.
