Nice bit of open space. The garages are being demolished, kids enjoying the derelict spaces at present.
Great slopes for sledging!
I used to play here 50+ years ago. Back then it was some wild land, which we called The Woodies, but it was not a park or anything. Just a wee bit of the countryside.
There were indeed trees there and ramshackle lock-up garages, We would play there as kids until it got dark, when we would start to find it scary.
For me, it was a shortcut from the bus stop and Broomhill Terrace. I went to Broomhill Primary and then Later Aberdeen Grammar School.

Great for a walk for the pup a littler closer to home by foot.

The Woodies are set in a large pleasant wooded park with facilities for walking and entertaining children. The facilities are adequate the staff pleasant. The woodies do not provide lunch or dinner service but sandwiches cakes tea and coffee and other drinks are available.
