Very clean. Great place to eat dinner. Amusement park. I can't wait to go back
There is super dog friendly place with a puppy bar menu :)

If you are going to buy something in a bar parking will be free which is super deal.

Beach is super nice with a white sand. Definitely the best beach for dog owners!
Well-built trail system. Good flow, nice features. Almost no climbing, so it’s a nice change of pace from many places in New England.
Great place to eat, drink and enjoy the ocean
Nice beach, but look out for the birds, they're territorial
Deliciously fragrant roses frame the slightly challenging sandy path to a gorgeous beach perfect for walking and shell collecting. Always have a wonderful visit, worth the drive from CT.

My niece's love this park. A few different kid friendly areas to explore with hands on activities. A lil mini library, tennis courts. Has some shade and picnic rables and benches. Good for all ages.

This is a great park to bring the kids, especially if you have a runner. There's a fence that runs around the entire playground so you don't have to worry about being on top of your little one running into the street. And the playground is pretty big to boot. There is also volleyball and tennis courts here. There's even a little trail in the back but the gazebo
Beautiful beach walk, a little over a mile out and same back. Beautiful views of Long Island Sound, and Block Island can be seen from the bluffs. Note: no bathrooms or porta potties, so plan accordingly 😉

Beautiful, classic city park. Beautifully designed. Clean, right next to the library. Definitely worth a walk when visiting Westerly
Nice easy flowy trails. More for the novice than the expert rider.
Went in to handle a few errands and I couldn’t have felt more comfortable and seen then here. Danielle was amazingly helpful! So if you ever need anything there, shes the one. She helped me print and scan important docs and helped me send them to the right places. Grateful i stopped in
Napatree Point Conservation Area is a stunning beauty spot. You will be full of wonder, especially at sunset. The sunset slowly descends at the tip of the Conservation area. Standing on the shore, you feel embraced by the sea on one side and a peaceful cove on the other; a pretty wildlife grassland divides the two. Meanwhile, sandpipers on their zippy little threadlike legs are scurrying back and forth with the waves, like a game of tag. Cormorants and seagulls bob along the swells like little back cut out shapes in an orange glow. The colors are sublime, the sky going from beautiful soft pastel pinks, grey blues and white, to the fiery hues of the sun--fuschia, orange, and fire-red. If you linger long enough, you might just see a full moon on the opposite side, like we did. What was especially beautiful was the way the sky opposite the sunset reflected the paler hues of the fireball once again, soft purples and pinks. There's a really pretty spot just at the crest of the sandy dune just as you enter the conservation area, so if you don't want to walk too far, this is a pretty and peaceful viewing place too. However, the best views are from the beach. When you leave, the light from the moon trickling over the water is gorgeous and the buildings along the cove are especially pretty. We visited at the end of October, and it was lovely.

So serene. Loved that they had benches along the path to sit and enjoy the beautiful day.
The park is very dog friendly as long as the dogs are on a leash. Many canines and owners enjoying the park when I was there. While the map mentioned a restroom it was locked when I was there.

Great spot! Decent long walk to point and back. Saw some big old hardwoods washed ashore - neat! Off season dog walking paradise.
Visited October 1st, so we were able to park for free on the street and walk down to the beach. A beautiful location and the shops were adorable (though we just passed by; most of them were closed when we arrived).

Not the place I would pick to do a "beach day" (since I can't help but compare it to my beloved Jersey Shore) but we did enjoy walking along the point for a bit and seeing the birds, boats, and enjoying some autumn sunshine.
Beautiful, picturesque, serene conservation area surrounded by a lovely beach and coastal town.
Very nice staff who don't get annoyed or impatient when you ask them for printer help over and over again because you're too lazy to focus and remember for yourself. They used to have a spare change dish there you could even dip into but that's gone. I reckon someone stole it.
Great atmosphere.

Such a lovely and beautiful park. Every city should have one of these.
During the summer you do have to pay to park, but it’s a beautiful walk, great beach and the shore birds are awesome.
Awesome place to relax as the sun goes down
One of the greatest treasures of Rhode Island. I love this place. Beautiful architecture, a deep history and a fantastic collection of books. Certainly one of the greatest libraries in New England.

Wilcox Park in Westerly, Rhode Island, is an absolute gem! The open space it offers is simply breathtaking, providing a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The well-maintained water fountains add a soothing touch to the surroundings, making it a tranquil oasis.

The abundance of trees creates a picturesque landscape, offering shade and a sense of serenity as you stroll along the paths. What I love the most is its convenient proximity to downtown, making it an easily accessible retreat for anyone seeking a moment of relaxation.

One fantastic aspect of Wilcox Park is its dog-friendly policy, which makes it the perfect place for dog owners to enjoy quality time with their furry friends. Additionally, the presence of benches throughout the park invites visitors to sit back, unwind, and savor the beauty of nature.

The large pond with fish and turtles is a delightful sight to behold, adding a touch of wildlife charm to the park. Whether you're a nature enthusiast or simply seeking a peaceful spot to read a book, Wilcox Park is an ideal destination to immerse yourself in nature's wonders while still being close to the heart of the town.
We've been sailing to the harbor at Watch Hill for about 15 years now. It is a safe anchorage and just a quick hop over the marked trails on the dunes brings you to thus stunning, uncrowded Beach. The further away from town, the less people there are. If you're a people watcher this is not the place for you. If you love privacy then you will adore this place. The beach has lovely sand and the water is so clear. There are occasionally people, including us who will walk down to the point at the end where there are gorgeous rock formations. It's so fascinating, especially for the little ones to watch and catch the little critters at low tide. We just love this place!
Love this place. Is very beautiful, good beach strips, best sunsets are scene here although you do have to walk up the sandy hill (can be tiresome). Parking can get full, and sometimes there is flooding can occur. Does get super dark when leaving. The stores are cute.
The Westerly Library always has the most helpful people working there, and Wilcox Park is so lovely and well maintained. It is gorgeous in the summer, and very beautiful any time of year.

Old, medium-sized gazebo with a view of the bay in Watch Hill.
Nice hiking trails
Great conditions only slightly buggy by the water
Love it here. Dogs welcome all day off season (after labor day til end of April.) On season before 8 am and after 6pm. Must be on leash. Gorgeous 😍 every single time. Consider donating to their conservation efforts if you are able. Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!! A must see.

Great trails clearly marked.
Nice day walking on the beach with the family. Visited in mid-March 50°f day, so parking was not an issue. Parking would be much more difficult on a nice hot summer's day. Get out and enjoy what RI has to offer.

Go before they take down the beautiful lights! They are spread throughout more than the park but if you have wee ones it would be fine to just hangout in the park. Plenty to see and lots of space to run! Thank you westerly for this beautiful display!!! 😍 it's a pretty park to have a picnic at during summer time as well! Year round shenanigans can take place here !! However do not go swimming. That would not work in your favor as it is contaminated waters

What a beautiful park in RI. We decided to enjoy our wraps from Sandy's here on a bench and lookout over the beautiful park. It's super dog friendly and the grass is really green. I was impressed by the variety of trees and that the garden was still flowering in November.

This park in westerly is of great size! It is large enough you can see other people yet enjoy your own peace and space. Its a great place to have a picnic because just about anywhere is a spot to sit down and enjoy whats around you. The history there is fascinating and you can easily learn more by talking to the library staff! There is also bathrooms in the library. It's a very dog-friendly park and there are many good boys who stroll around with their owners. I also just love love love how many squirrels run around, and they get pretty close to you! If you throw some nuts they love to grub on them. I come to this park often because it is such a gorgeous and fun place to be! I have met many wonderful people here. They hold all sorts of events, even plays on theatre stages!! I have seen zumba too, you can ask the library staff for more about events and times. I love this park!
Love both the library and park. They are owned by a private non profit organization. It is very generous with the Town, allowing wonderful events like summer concerts and plays in the park, and exhibitions of local artists and talks with local writers. Plus many children and teen activities. We are so fortunate! Please donate if you are able!
The library is wonderful as always. So much more than books! I attended the regional history fair on Sept 14 where about 20 local historical societies and museums had exhibits. Great turnout!
A notable and fascinating gem in the heart of downtown Westerly completed in 1894. Inside you'll find wonderful resources and a variety of history regarding the origins of both industry and commerce within Westerly. On the northern perimeter of the library lies the beautifully designed, manicured and maintained exterior grounds of Wilcox Park providing respite and splendor, with highlights including a dramatic fountain and mature garden beds, all complimenting the property.
Stunning gargantuan small town library, lovely grounds, great cafe on ground floor. Very welcoming librarians. Free wifi of course. Private rooms you can reserve.
Great area to hangout for the day! Arcade is very fun and still hands out tickets, makes it feel more retro instead of using a card. Wonderful spot with lots of entertaining activities. Right across from the drive-in as well, which brings the activities into the night!

A gem of tranquility in the middle of Westerly. Stroll around and marvel at the variety of mature trees. Stop and sit on a bench or get up close and hug one of your tree ancestors. There is a packed used book store within walking distance and a great Mexican restaurant if you want to Bring a book and a taco and spend a serene afternoon amongst these beautiful trees.

I have a question and have had this question for a long time because I had no idea how to get ahold of somone for this location we took our kids on this walking path last year and loved it!! We loved all the bird houses and the fairy houses …… so we decided to buy all the stuff and make some so both my boys made their own fairy houses and they loved it and they loved the joy that other people loved them!!! They put soooo much time and there own love into each one!!! Nevermind how much I spent On all the paints and stuff for it and the houses with $10 dollars each and i had to get 2 for my two boys so theres another 20…. But anywaysssss
Buttttt they all went missing and I have not seen any fairy houses or the ones my kids that they made !!! It make me mad cuz I thought maybe they put them away cuz they did some mowing soooo I waited i few weeks and went back and still weren’t there and waited like a month again as so did my kids and then it went all winter and nope never saw them since and they weren’t put back out it’s just sad cuz my kids put a lot of work into the and they are gone and been gone since the first time we put them out…
An absolutely beautiful place to hike. Great trails that are well established and blazed well as well. We saw some amazing things while we were here and some wildlife too. Very easy hike as well. Absolutely recommend.

This may be the nicest playground in Westerly. It's bigger than any others around, clean and quiet even though it's next to the airport. If you like tennis or volleyball this is a place for you. There are 2 sections of playground, one for the little ones and a larger more adventurous section. It's never extremely busy.

Great park.

- new(ish) equipment (only complaint so far is the swing chain wrapping peeling off, and the bucket seat is missing the safety belt)
- variety of things to do that work out different parts of body (ex. rolling log, horizontal slide, rock-climbing incline)
- multiple slides at different heights and styles (straight, bumpy, swirl)
- additional (original) gated area for younger children
- multiple ball courts (tennis, volleyball, basketball?)
- benches and pagoda
- water fountain
- trash cans

Overall, the grounds are clean and well kept. An enjoyable place to be.
Definitely beautiful, but as the group of 6 of us...who happened to meet together were beginning our MTB sojourn, someone from the trust stopped us and told us we needed to call her first for permission to ride on the land. It was an aggressive and strange experience.

This park is nice and clean. Plenty of picnic tables and park benches to sit at. The recreational setup is fabulous with fun unique apparatuses for children to play on. Truly a fun place to take the family.
Beautiful - there were many mergansers in the pond, making this hike/walk a special treat. Paths are well-kept and delineated. Despite the large amount of cars parked in the lot, the beach/dune area is so large that one doesn’t notice the crowds. Don’t attempt this in sandals!

FYI Moore Woods is only for residents of Westerly.

Not only do I love Moore woods, but the dog loves it there. It is so conveniently located to us we go almost every day. Can't say enough about this place.
Beautiful beach but you can access it only walking or on bicycle.Unless you do not mind dropping off your friends and park car 3 miles away :)

It is completely fenced in with separate areas for very little kids and older kids. Has bathrooms and a good amount of seating including a gazebo. The variety of play equipment is pretty good and it's all well maintained.
All trails are easy to manage . Running through the MTB course was interesting.

Wonderful former Girl Scout camp, with walking paths. Great place for a quick jaunt in nature. Also an excellent place to hold a special camping event (requires special permission from the Westerly Land Trust).
