Beautiful beach walk, a little over a mile out and same back. Beautiful views of Long Island Sound, and Block Island can be seen from the bluffs. Note: no bathrooms or porta potties, so plan accordingly 😉

Napatree Point Conservation Area is a stunning beauty spot. You will be full of wonder, especially at sunset. The sunset slowly descends at the tip of the Conservation area. Standing on the shore, you feel embraced by the sea on one side and a peaceful cove on the other; a pretty wildlife grassland divides the two. Meanwhile, sandpipers on their zippy little threadlike legs are scurrying back and forth with the waves, like a game of tag. Cormorants and seagulls bob along the swells like little back cut out shapes in an orange glow. The colors are sublime, the sky going from beautiful soft pastel pinks, grey blues and white, to the fiery hues of the sun--fuschia, orange, and fire-red. If you linger long enough, you might just see a full moon on the opposite side, like we did. What was especially beautiful was the way the sky opposite the sunset reflected the paler hues of the fireball once again, soft purples and pinks. There's a really pretty spot just at the crest of the sandy dune just as you enter the conservation area, so if you don't want to walk too far, this is a pretty and peaceful viewing place too. However, the best views are from the beach. When you leave, the light from the moon trickling over the water is gorgeous and the buildings along the cove are especially pretty. We visited at the end of October, and it was lovely.

Visited October 1st, so we were able to park for free on the street and walk down to the beach. A beautiful location and the shops were adorable (though we just passed by; most of them were closed when we arrived).

Not the place I would pick to do a "beach day" (since I can't help but compare it to my beloved Jersey Shore) but we did enjoy walking along the point for a bit and seeing the birds, boats, and enjoying some autumn sunshine.

During the summer you do have to pay to park, but it’s a beautiful walk, great beach and the shore birds are awesome.

We've been sailing to the harbor at Watch Hill for about 15 years now. It is a safe anchorage and just a quick hop over the marked trails on the dunes brings you to thus stunning, uncrowded Beach. The further away from town, the less people there are. If you're a people watcher this is not the place for you. If you love privacy then you will adore this place. The beach has lovely sand and the water is so clear. There are occasionally people, including us who will walk down to the point at the end where there are gorgeous rock formations. It's so fascinating, especially for the little ones to watch and catch the little critters at low tide. We just love this place!

Love this place. Is very beautiful, good beach strips, best sunsets are scene here although you do have to walk up the sandy hill (can be tiresome). Parking can get full, and sometimes there is flooding can occur. Does get super dark when leaving. The stores are cute.
