A uniquely themed park around airplanes with clear sightlines to SNA take offs out towards the ocean. Bouncy rubber covers most of the park with a small sand pit area. 3 restrooms - used one that was less than ideal for family or changing a baby diaper and couldn't see any hand wash sinks. Not very shaded either save for one covered seating area on the far side.

The main attractions are the swinging zip line and full scale jet to climb around. The zip line is a lot of fun, but requires adult help to get back up to the top and careful supervision to avoid collisions along the path. There is a marked area on the ground but no physical barrier so it was a bit nerve wracking having younger unaware kids wandering through the area.

Overall a decent park worth visiting once.

Just a small park to take a break from a bike ride. Not much to do here. It's a neighborhood park. It was very clean though when I stopped by to rest. Kid friendly, small grass area for a picnic. There's no restrooms.

This park is a fantastic spot for families looking to enjoy some outdoor fun. Nestled within the heart of the city, this park offers something for everyone, from lush green spaces to recreational amenities.

One of the highlights of Lions Park is the playground, which my kids absolutely adore. With its diverse range of equipment and ample space to run around, it's the perfect place for them to burn off some energy and make new friends. From swings to slides, there's no shortage of excitement here.

Adjacent to the playground is the local library, adding an educational element to the park experience. It's a wonderful opportunity to instill a love of reading in children and take a break from the sun while enjoying a good book. The library staff are always friendly and helpful, making it a welcoming environment for visitors of all ages.

In addition to the playground and library, Lions Park boasts picnic areas, sports courts, and walking paths, making it a versatile destination for outdoor recreation. Whether you're looking for a quiet afternoon stroll or an action-packed day of play, this park has you covered.

Overall, Lions Park is a fantastic community space that caters to the needs of families. With its well-maintained facilities and welcoming atmosphere, it's no wonder that it's a favorite among locals. If you're in the area, be sure to stop by and see what all the fuss is about!

Nice, clean, kids love the playground. The parking is very accessible and easy. There's sitting areas inside the playground mat and surrounding so it's easy to keep an eye on your kiddos.
I have not used their restrooms so no comment there.

Super fun park. Different apparatus than the usual fare. Fun instruments and majority are tuned to pentatonic scales so each note sounds nice with any other note.

This is a good sized park . On one side it has a skateboard park and dog park along with tennis 🎾 courts and restrooms. On the other side is a big lake with ducks and fun walking trails, also includes a kids playground and more restrooms . Plenty of parking at both.

Really great park. There's public restrooms to use that are clean. The playground is really cool. The downside is the zip line swing is out in the open with no barrier to keep other kids from running through the path and little kids are constantly being smashed into and knocked over by other children riding the swing.

One of my original spots to take my kids. This is my favorite park in Costa Mesa because there’s a lot to do. The play structure is fairly big with bridges tunnels multiple slides for kids to enjoy. Also has a sand pit and swings. After my kids play for about an hour we always finish our park outing by walking up the hill to see the ducks and turtles. Sometimes the geese get a little aggressive if you decide to toss them food. Other than the sometimes aggressive geese, it’s a nice stroll with plenty of shade and water scenery to enjoy.

One of my favorite Costa Mesa parks. There’s lot for kids to do and pleasant to take a lunch and have the kids run around. I love the musical instruments and swings. The kids (sometimes teens) line up to use the zip line swings on the play structure so make sure your kids don’t crash into the zip liners. Kids can also enjoy climbing up and crossing the big bridge. We love to end the park day in the library. Lots of books and cute little reading nooks for the kiddos to enjoy a book.

So unexpected seeing these beautiful creatures. In Chinese, they are called 'Yuan Yang', which is a symbol for lovers, since they are beautiful and always stay together.

We had a fun time there! Mixed ages all had fun on the unique playground. Zipline style swing was fun even for the adults. You can sit or stand and it goes around great. Just need a big kid or adult to help get it all the way back up for the next person. There's other spinning and climbing structures too. It has some grass area and a few picnic benches. We went in the evening and brought our dinner. Then played until dark. There's bathrooms, but they seemed to get cleaned and then locked by 8. There are lights on the playground, but doesn't light it all completely.

This park is amazing! It was closed for ages for renovations and I see why. The climbing structure was so cool, there's a zip line, a sand pit, a spinner, and a smaller kids climbing structure too. Great bathrooms, spots to picnic, and it's right next to the darling library. One of our favorite parks in the area!

Place feels like your visiting a prison yard with a kids playground and soccer field next to/in it. Run down old school and chain link fence all around. When I say run down I mean really run down!!! Paint peeling off building. Lights missing around the school. Tipped over old dirty tables. Rusty wheel barrel in it's side in what might have been a garden at one time. Trash all around. Maybe the school is closed down... Or majorly under funded. It was hard to tell. I'm guessing it's not used as a school anymore based on the condition it was in. There are better parks. This is a skip in my book. A bit surprised since the neighborhood looks very nice.

Really nice park! Saw ducks, geese, turtles and of course squirrels. Took my dog on leash for a walk through it - there is an off leash dog park named bark park a couple of minutes walk away. Certainly one of the nicest parks I’ve been to in OC.
It's a very nice small park and no issue's clean

I was looking for Dog Parks and this is not a dog park, dogs have to be on leash and can not run and play with other dogs. Very disappointed because it should not be listed underr dog parks when it is NOT actually a dog park.

A nice clean park, with walking path and artificial water flows and ponds with ducks, fountain and kids play area. There are sufficient seating benches with and without shades. Toilet is available but needs maintenance.

This is an excellent park. My kids were really playful during more than two hours. They really enjoyed the sliding swing. Also, there is a huge plane where kids can pretend they are flying. There is a double swing that is very safe, cause kids can be seated comfy. I give it a 8 out of 10.

Excellent place to access Santa Ana River trail. Free parking and safe. The Moon Park is wedged between a neighborhood, and the famed 50 mile non-stop bike trail.

Great rest stop for biking the Santa Ana River trail. It would be great if they added bathroom or a water fountain.
I've never seen any but in case of coyotes, "Fight back if attacked"

Hands down the most versatile and large park. There are ponds, fountains, gorgeous plants and non stop activities.
Geese, birds, squirrels with great plants and flowers everywhere

It is gorgeous everywhere with waterfalls, trees, flowers and wonderful walking paths.

For parents, tons of paths and swing sets, games, soccer fields, skateboard parks, etc

Also dog parks and tennis centers. Hopefully pickleball will be there soon in 2024

Decided to visit this park in Costa Mesa. Very big, lots of parking, very clean, very beautiful, there a lot of ducks and there’s plenty of shade to have a nice barbecue with the family. There’s like 3 lakes probably more. There’s restrooms but it was out of service during COVID-19 season. That’s a bummer. Other than that I will plan to come here often.👍🏼

I love this little park. However, it is a small park. Has some really nice large shade trees and almost every day at lunch there are a bunch of moms & Nannys with little ones hanging out on blankets and enjoying the day.

Huge gated, grassy area for kids and dogs to play with lots of huge, beautiful trees for shade. A play structure for kids. Water fountain. Poop bags for dog owners to clean up their dog's poop. And if you're lucky, you can see dragonflies buzzing around.

Every time we passed by this little park on the way to the Newport Beach on the road bike, we couldn't resist to take a short break, cooling off under these big trees, laying on the green grass carpet, taking a zip of our herbal energy drink and enjoying the ocean breeze... Before heading to the ocean.

Love this little neighborhood park. We often find a few other puppies to play with. It's not fenced and there are often families with small children. Dogs are not allowed off leash. There are doggy bags available. No water. No restrooms.
Great to ride our one wheel. No concrete and rolling hills make for great riding around the park. Plus always lots of great dogs at this park to play with

My pup loves to go for walks at this park. It is super close to where we live and always clean. The grass is always green and there are plenty of trees that give great shade on a hot day! Here is a picture of Charlie at the park this evening.

This little Park is nice and peaceful. The grass is green and beautiful. There's a few picnic tables, plenty of shade, and two small playgrounds. The best feature is the moon! Once you see it you'll know what I mean. The park is adjacent to the river trail so it can be a nice starting or ending point for runners 🏃 or bikers 🚲 the neighborhood seems nice and quiet.
