Nice place for a walk or to take the dog.
The area associated with the Carrara Lions Park is the Emerald Lakes Walkway. So apart from the play area itself there is the Emerald Lakes Walkway, an off leash dog exercise area, a good flat outdoor area for running around or kicking a ball and a barbeque area.
The playground area is one of the only ones I have found so far that caters to young children with some nice low, readily accessible activity sets just for them. The area too is well shaded and clean.
There is a nice shady area to eat a picnic and electric barbeques for hire if that is your persuasion.
If you took a bike or trike, there is a good path to let your children free on.
A rubbish bin is available but no water or toilets.
On the negative side, the area is not fenced but the park is not next to a main road. There is an unpleasant smell in the air from the wetlands and the wet lands may give rise to mosquitoes and other wildlife at times. But this is not unmanageable. When we were there the grass had not been mowed and there was a lot of clover which hosted plenty of beautiful bees. A child without shoes could be in for it.

Lots of grass for the local dog walkers. Good view and tranquil atmosphere. Also has a playground for the lil ones.

Smells like rotten fish, water is stagnant and murky.
Beautiful place to relax and to do some sight seeing around.It was a beautiful scenery indeed today for a perfect weather ❤️

Lots of space, beautiful lake. The playground is heaps of fun for kids. Parking available too.

Nice place by the lake, small playground for the kids. Don't forget to bring your bicycle or scooter!

This is quite a nice park
New park is fantastic, let's the kids do risky play which a lot of playgrounds around don't. Parking is easy (and free!) Great place to spend a few easy hours

I love walking my dog and going for a jog through here. Always quiet and they Dona good job of clearing the footpaths. Just looks out for those cobwebs if your running with your mouth open in the mornings
Its my daily walk with my dog. A great place to get out of your own head for a bit. And live in the moment of this beautiful bushland. So peaceful♡
