Upon arriving, we were warmly greeted by the host, Darius, who proved to be an absolute master of his trade. His wine suggestions were spot-on, perfectly complementing our meal at a reasonable 7 euros per glass.
For starters, we opted for the lentils and herring - both were delightful and set the stage for the main course. My wife and I both ordered the bavette steak, and we were impressed with how perfectly they were cooked to our individual preferences. Mine was served "a point" (rare), while my wife's was a flawless medium-well.
The cheese plate was a highlight of the evening, offering a generous selection of top-quality cheeses. We rounded out our meal with the decadent chocolate fondant, a dessert that left us utterly satisfied.

Nice place to stop for a bite to eat if visiting Versailles. Service was quick, but it wasn’t busy at all. Food was nice and hot the spot. Drinks were on the slightly more expensive side and more in line with a place in Paris. Overall a pleasant experience that’s left me feeling full and not feeling overcharged.
We’ve been coming back for a couple of years now. The menu hasn’t changed but they do have daily specials. The food always tastes delicious. The wine selection is always excellently paired with the food and if you tell them what your preference is they can somehow always find you the right wine.
Friendly service and some of them can speak English.
The place is quaint, sometimes you’re sitting in the middle of wine boxes, a bit cramped and the tables small but this contributes to the atmosphere.

Very friendly , great and simple authentic food. The waitress was very efficient. We will go back.
Beautiful restaurant we found whilst walking through Versailles, highly recommended and will visit again. Great staff and owners are just lovely
We stumbled upon this hidden gem after our attempt to visit the Palace of Versailles, only to discover that tickets needed to be booked two weeks in advance. The staff was very friendly, treating us to complimentary coconut bean satay veloutés as entrée and delightful soft cookies at the end. I opted for the Monkfish cheeks with chopped parsley and garlic, tricolour fusilli pasta, parmesan cheese cream, and laces. My father enjoyed the roasted veal ribs, smashed Ratte potatoes au gratin with Beaufort cheese, morels, and sunchokes chips. The best deal by far was the $18 lunch special my mother ordered, including a main and dessert – a fantastic price for incredibly delicious food! I absolutely loved the place, and the overall atmosphere was really calming
This was my favorite meal on my trip to France. Great, simple, classic food that is priced well. A cute and eclectic atmosphere. And the sweetest servers/owners who are so patient with our lack of French skills. And the crème brûlée is next level. It’s situated in the cutest area too. 10/10 go here!

We got off the train and wanted a French breakfast before visiting Versailles. This place had a good breakfast and a really nice feeling. The person who runs the restaurant didn't speak English, but we still could tell them what we wanted without any problems. It's a good spot if you want to grab something to eat before heading into Versailles.

The dish was extremely delicious. I’m always depressed about how normal chef cooks fish, because I come from where fish are delicately and deliciously cooked. At this restaurant the fish was surprisingly deliciously cooked .
I wondered why this restaurant stays bib groumand, not michellin star. The interior and every small items are all chic. Maybe this is because of the staff?
Though I enjoyed the meals very much but I didn’t feel as comfortable as in the other luxurious restaurants. This is a shame. The price is rather generous than michellin star restaurants.

From outside the place looked pretty good and inviting, the staff was very friendly.
Once inside we sit, there were few flies on the nearest table…

Lovely little place. Indoor seats more people than it appears; there is also outdoor seating. One waiter covered the whole place when we were there which was not really enough by the end when it had gotten crowded. There is a seasonal menu so some of these dishes may not be available. Pea soup was very different from American traditional but was very good. Tuna was prepared beautifully with delicious sauce. Peach dessert was very good.
As foreign travelers, we felt a bit disappointed.

We also hope that in the future, Asian customers can receive the same level of care as French customers when visiting.

We enjoyed the 5 course lunch menu and a bottle of pet nat wine. The chef adapted the courses for my husband's gluten allergy and the waiter was very friendly. The quality and quantity of food was perfect for lunch and the front dining room has a nice ambiance with comfortable seating. A good value and we would definitely return!
The food is simple and good. I think it's a suitable restaurant for someone who is looking for a healthy meal or maybe is on a diet. We got cooked salmon, rice and beans which were not cooked in a sophisticated way. Rice and beans didn't have extra butter, salmon wasn't spiced.
My beef steak was medium just as I asked, the banana chocolate tart was great and the texture new to me.

Very cool cozy restaurant. The food is truly outstanding and satisfying. Highly recommend the house made charcuterie but everything we ordered was perfection.
The young server was amazing! Went out of his way for anything we needed and served everything with a smile, fastly and great English as well! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting, great food, great drinks and great service in a lovely area.

Food was great but the services was a little less than average because one dish that we ordered was to be accompanied with mash potatoe but we had to remind the waiting staff to serve that. Then also usual bread basket never arrived. Our order was food and drinks. There English is better than average. Atmosphere was good.
Food was good but watch your bill. Came out with extra items then they took €33 off the total. Made it hard to check. Took ages to bring the bill, so when they finally came you just want to get out of there.
Offered two courses for €18.90, or the main was €16.90 on its own. Ordered 2 mains, 2 deserts was charged €18.90 for the main, and €7-10 for the deserts. And they added a desert we never had to the bill.

It was sooooo good! Honestly one of the best burgers of my life! 😆❣️ The staff were super friendly too!!! 😊
Nobody to attend customers eating outside (including cleaning the tables) had to clean it myself; the two burgers that were ordered took too long to get assembled (estimated 15-20 min, took considerably longer than that), the well done burger was partially raw, the other one tasted off, the host apologised but that’s about it - neither plates could be finished. On the other side, I enjoyed the bio blond beer. Hope that this feedback will help everyone, including the business owner(s). Thanks for reading and stay safe!
We have ordered our meals with difficulty because french waiter is not able to understand us. We especially informed her about beef cook level but she brought us rare beef. We asked their suggestion but only said chicken. Taste of the products were not good. I don't suggest to anyone.
The rudest staff in all of Versailles. I asked for a coffee and a starter but the owner refused to take any order other than main course. The restaurant was empty and yet chose to have such behaviour.

Beautifully presented food that was fresh and so flavoursome. Great service and really nice atmosphere. Good French food. Pudding was sublime, lightest chocolate fondant cake ever had. Would thoroughly recommend.

Not only the best restaurant we’ve eaten at in France, but the best restaurant we’ve ever eaten at. First off, the staff and service were phenomenal. They were on point. Loved the minimalistic environment and the small details like the plate ware. Presentation of the dishes were all beautiful. We did the tasting menu. Every single dish was amazing. We were always excited to see what the next dish would be. We also had a hard time picking a favorite! Also the wasabi butter? I hate wasabi and that was the best damn butter I’ve ever had hahaha. They were very accommodating to our English speaking as well. I would hands down go back here. Absolutely worth every penny. Thank you! And sorry for rushing out so fast, we had to catch a train!
Bought the Picanha steak, was cooked to perfection. The sides were not great and could have included beans to compliment this Brazilian steak but the steak was amazing! Staff was also quick and helpful
It started with the service which was unfortunately non existant and the food wasnt very good either. Burger buns were dry and the overall flavour below average. Especially for that price, not acceptable.
Staff was nice enough to grant me a table without reservation for dinner. The tuna tataki was fresh and light. I had the beef with olive puree it was juicy and flavorful. I had the passion meringue for dessert it was okay abit sweet to my taste i should have sticked to the pistachio creme brûlée. The menu is limited but tasty and for good value of money.

Located in a busy pedestrian street, it doesn't look like much from the facade but once you step inside, it's simple yet chic, not pretentious. The staff speak English so that helps. Papa Poules, 2 Rue Andre Che. Service excellent! Staff went over and beyond!! Definitely a plus if you visit the Palace of Versailles. Wanted something that they didn’t have. Hey went next door and got it! The table next to me asked if they had a omelette. The response: we can make it for you! Customer service absolutely excellent and the fare is great as wel. It is certainly worth a visit if you visit Versailles in France.
Very nice place with nice stuff. Duck breasts were a good choice, but I really recommend to try ravioli with truffles and foie grass, they were excellent!
Servers went out of their way to accommodate my baby (they have one of those adapters that transform any chair into a high chair) and even helped distract her when she started to cry for a change of scenery. The food was amazing and I am pretty sure I had one of the best chocolate cakes of my life.
Tucked away on a quiet street in Versailles, you’ll find this intimate French cuisine restaurant. Delicious and approachable cuisine and a welcoming staff - our server even helped us with train accommodations back to Paris! A perfect place to end a day in Versailles 🫶🏼
The staff at the counter refused to give my friend a drink (soda), which was included in the combo he ordered. €20 for a burger and chips and NO drink, it was such a scam. We should have gone to kfc instead.

Excellent dinner, high quality ingredients, well executed and very well presented. The restaurant is situated on a quaint and busy pedestrian street not too far form the Château.
Amazing. So for some fortunate reason, I missed the emails stating my reservation was t confirmed and then that I didn’t have a reservation. We showed up, and despite that they still found us a table. And wow. Presentation, service, wine even dessert were spot on. Simple yet sophisticated. Wine a perfect match.

The "menu dégustation" delivers a wonderfull range of flavour, texture and visual pleasure. No the portion sizes are not huge, but nor would I want them to be, other establishments will cater for your desires for a full belly, here it is your senses that are saited.
A special call out to their menu ada ptations to cater for my dairy allergy, very rare are the restaurants where I get alternative content on my plate and not just half the dish removed. Indeed my dining companions frequently said "I prefer the look of yours". I thank you.
Apparently the menu changes about every 5 weeks so you won't get what you see in the photos here (and in any case mine was diffent to the standard dishes due to my dairy allergy), excuses for the empty plate in one of the photos but I was just too tempted by the excuisit confit de carrots that I forgot to take before. Anyway this empty plate gives a certain testimony no 😉.

Today my friends and I visited this restaurant. They had a board outside the door with a breakfast menu. The waitress told us that they didn't have anything to eat, even though she asked us if we would be sure. After we said we would only have the Cappucino, the attendant moved us next door. The coffee was more like a double espresso. Not worth the 5€ and the very unpleasant service. Definitely not recommended.

In diesem etwas versteckt gelegenen Restaurant im Versailler Stadtteil Saint-Louis, das seit August 2022 einen neuen Pächter hat, haben wir am Heiligabend 2022 angenehm zu Abend gegessen. Es gibt eine kleine Karte mit nur jeweils drei Gerichten pro Gang. Ich sehe darin den Ausweis von frischen Produkten, anderen mag die Variation fehlen.
Als Vorspeise gefiel die Foie Gras mit Feigen-Konfitüre sehr gut. Preislich bei 18€. Die Gänseleberpastete war wohl eher nicht selbst gemacht, aber sehr in Ordnung.
Im Hauptgang hatten wir Entenbrust mit diversem Gemüse (26€). Auch wenn der Garpunkt der Ente gut getroffen wurde und sie heiß serviert wurde, merkte man, dass das Gemüse leider schon länger auf dem Teller lag, es war leider nur noch lauwarm. Uns hätte eine knusprigere Haut der Entenbrust noch besser gefallen.
Von den Desserts (10€) war eine Millefeuille-Variarion mit heißer Schokoladen-Sauce gut. Der Napoléon, ebenfalls eine Millefeuille-Variarion im Glas fand dagegen weniger unser Gefallen.
Sehr gut: die Weinauswahl. Ich entschied mich für einen Gewürztraminer für 10€ das Glas, der ausgezeichnet war. Der junge Service war sehr bemüht und höflich. Es fehlte noch am letzten Schliff und der Erfahrung, damit es noch reibungloser abläuft, aber das Fazit fällt insgesamt positiv mit Luft nach oben für Verbesserungen aus.
Als Vorspeise gefiel die Foie Gras mit Feigen-Konfitüre sehr gut. Preislich bei 18€. Die Gänseleberpastete war wohl eher nicht selbst gemacht, aber sehr in Ordnung.
Im Hauptgang hatten wir Entenbrust mit diversem Gemüse (26€). Auch wenn der Garpunkt der Ente gut getroffen wurde und sie heiß serviert wurde, merkte man, dass das Gemüse leider schon länger auf dem Teller lag, es war leider nur noch lauwarm. Uns hätte eine knusprigere Haut der Entenbrust noch besser gefallen.
Von den Desserts (10€) war eine Millefeuille-Variarion mit heißer Schokoladen-Sauce gut. Der Napoléon, ebenfalls eine Millefeuille-Variarion im Glas fand dagegen weniger unser Gefallen.
Sehr gut: die Weinauswahl. Ich entschied mich für einen Gewürztraminer für 10€ das Glas, der ausgezeichnet war. Der junge Service war sehr bemüht und höflich. Es fehlte noch am letzten Schliff und der Erfahrung, damit es noch reibungloser abläuft, aber das Fazit fällt insgesamt positiv mit Luft nach oben für Verbesserungen aus.

When we were seated in the restaurant, we were given English menus as we struggled to communicate in French. The wait staff also spoke English really well, and explained the dishes of the day well.
We both got the appetiser + main + dessert combo at €18.90, which is a steal.
For appetisers, we got the tuna rilettes and the appetiser of the day. The appetiser of the day was a crab and avocado dish, served with pesto drizzled. Both appetisers were great and came with salads.
As for the mains, we got the dish of the day (osso bucco) and faggotini. The osso bucco was tender, well marinated and fell of the bone. The sauce of the faggotini was really good too.
As for desserts, we both got the dessert of the day, which was a banana and chocolate cream. It was amazing too!
Big props to the people for serving us and making us feel welcome. If we ever visit Versailles again, we will be back :)

Came in to grab some dinner before heading back to the train station after visiting Versailles. Our server was really nice, a bit busy because he was handling a group right next to us but despite being busy he gave us a few good recommendations. Because it was busy it was also kind of loud and hard to hear but nobody could really help that.

We found this great restaurant since we were looking for escargot. The food was enjoyed by all and the service was friendly and efficient. The salad and steak with fries were a welcomed change for these American tourist. A few photos of our food.
Probable one of the best meals I've had in my trip. I ordered the chicken dish plus creme brulee. The waiter was nice and the food was amazing. It's walking distance to Versailles. I recommend going here instead of the overcrowded restaurants inside Versailles Palace.

this place was amazing!! the food came super quick (within a matter of minutes) and it was unbelievably delicious. i got the mushroom burger and loved it so much. the fries were also delicious. this is a great place to stop by after visiting the palace of versailles!
There's only 2 servers so the service is lacking. Not once were we asked how things were or do we want to refill our drinks/water, also it is quite warm in the dining room and they just played Adele the whole time which is odd. None of the dishes we received were memorable except the desserts which in France is a given. I don't really see the allure of dining here currently.
Stopped in here on a whim for a glass of wine after a long day at Versailles and immediately knew I needed to try the burger. Fluffy bun that’s perfect for the quality smashburger pattie with excellent flavors and balance all around. Do not miss out, fantastic execution!!
Good and friendly service Nice ambiance and easy access in the middle of town. Menu card isn't big, but the dishes are nice. -1 since the entrecote came out well done instead of medium.

A fabulous restaurant next to the Palace of Versailles. Very relaxed atmosphere, welcoming, friendly staff without overbearing. The food was fantastic, particularly fish. Raspberry desert out of this world. A must visit on any trip to Versailles
What a lovely spot this is! The owner of the restaurant himself took our order and gave us enough attention despite having a very busy Saturday night service. It was such a relaxing and memorable experience to sit and enjoy delicious food after a day of walking around in the Palace.
My absolute favorite was foie gras (I only order it when in France), and of course the dessert. During a 38°C heatwave I could eat several of their housemade sorbet. Absolute must!

Food is great, but wine options were disappointing. We could not choose from a written list, but had to ask the waiters to pick a wine for us (and I wasn't happy with the suggestions.. I asked for round soft complex wine, no red fruits, no berries and the waiter was happy to tell me he found one with strong acidity, raspberry and cherry... quite the opposite of what I had asked for. The 2nd option was "perlant", not great either).
Staff was friendly, and food was great, but I missed a good wine glass with my dinner.

Highly recommend ! I found this gem thanks to the review of another traveler.. After Versailles, my friends and I took the brief walk to Chez Stef’s. Upon entering, it’s cozy, calming, and the smells were intoxicating! I had the sea bream and it was absolutely divine! The flavors complimented each other so well, I didn’t know whether to laugh, cry, or kiss the chef! Had an amazing pistachio & fruit dessert. The owners are so kind and humble -I hope you go as soon as you finish reading this. My friends and I were so impressed and our bellies were SO happy!
If you're looking for authentic fabulous french food & wine come here! We stumbled upon this spot after a very long stressful travel day (its behind our Air BnB.) it was the perfect end to our day today. We got to meet the chef & his wife (how cool!) they were so kind, spoke great English and made an awesome team. Did I mention, some of the BEST french cuisine since our start in France a week ago? Come here! You won't regret it.

To be honest I don’t know how this place has anywhere near 4-5 stars. While the service was fine (bringing this up to a 3) the food was a miss. The cheeseburger was unevenly cooked and this was apparently a Cesar salad. Brown dressing, tomatoes, eggs and potatoes.
Dining in such a lively, historic and grand neighborhood, I remembered some of the vertigo of feeling transported across time and culture the first time I visited France ten years ago. I thoroughly enjoyed the food quality and the flavor experimentation of the lunch menu we ordered. Most of our dishes had an exquisite, surprising element, sometimes subtle and other cases through unusual pairings or preparation methods. A rather expensive treat, uplifted somewhat to an experience by the immersive atmosphere and decor, and the exceptionally attentive, thoughtful service.

Good burgers, admittedly a little more expensive than most burger chains, but they have lots of different good cheese options for each burger and I definitely recommend trying their fries!

As someone new to this kind of dining let me just say, don't be intimidated! The staff here were incredibly helpful and nice. The menu has only a few things each day including vegetables and herbs from the garden of the chef. Our experience was either a 3 or 5 course meal to select from and you can choose a wine pairing to go with it. The prices were incredibly reasonable for this type of establishment and the food was insanely good. Every detail is thought of and the wait staff ensures a top notch dining experience. Make sure you get a reservation because this place can book up fast! We even got to shake hands with the chef after our meal. I highly recommend this place!

Unbelievable little restaurant! Discreet street front but beautifully styled inside. The food was amazing! Lunch was probably the nicest meal I had in France! I had a beef steak and it was the best steak I've ever had in my life! Would recommend going and definitely have dessert! Staff are good and it's a very relaxing restaurant. Wine recommendation was excellent

Such a small and comforting atmosphere. Home cooked food prepared with love. Family run and friendly service. €15/20 per person. Menu is basic but there should be enough choices to fill you up. Free Wifi and bathroom available.

A very charming cafe with outdoor seating next the the weekly market away from the crowds of Versailles Palace. Service was professional and quick. Prices are reasonable to high but the quality is of the food is very good. The Thai soup, fish, and risotto were excellent. Bread and wine selection were ok. Trio of desserts and coffee was a nice conclusion to the meal.
