It's in the provincial park, you have to pay day pass.

A few minutes on a dirt road of the highway, not recommended for low sports car. Very nice launching spot for paddling, you need to pay parking at the visitor center prior to arrival. Can't speak about the trail, we went kayaking for 25 km, if you expect to see the rock painting be ready to be disappointed

Went for a winter hike with friends, highly recommend!! Don’t be discouraged if there’s not a lot of experience in hiking as long as proper equipments are prepared. Micro-spikes are A MUST-HAVE!! Extremely slippery and icy during winter times and difficult to walk without crampons.
The view is absolutely amazing and the hike is filled with fun little climbs and views.

This is a stunning view and can be done relatively quickly if you are fit. I loved this hike. You will be climbing up boulders. Have a picnic at the top!

Trail for experienced hikers. Really fun. Go well prepared. No bears were seen in December.

Must try trail hike for beginners who want to challenge themselves a short extreme hike. Please do have hiking shoes and stay in group as there are bears and bring energy bars and water

Beautiful prov. Park to view fall colors near Sudbury (only 1h away). but download map because you will lose your Connectivity soon after entering the park.

Popped into Killarney Outfitters because we saw the ice cream sign. They had 8 different flavors of ice cream and 3 options to enjoy your ice cream (waffle cone, regular cone, or cup). We tried the chocolate and french vanilla in a waffle cone and cotton candy and vanilla in a cup. The chocolate ice cream by far was our favorite. It was authentic and delicious! The staff is also super nice.

Watch out for a broken branch that is likely to fall off; it is right above the trail, about 15min walk from the parking lot.
The view from the hill top is definitely stunning. Overall this is a challenging trail -- please do some homework and prepare yourself well enough.

Fun hike! We were nervous based on an article from the parks but one way it took us about an hour. There is lots of variation on the hike with soft wooded areas, uneven rocky paths, and then a moderately steep stone path. It's very fun! Hiking boots recommended as I imagine normal running shoes may not have the best tread for some portions. Finally getting to the top, relaxing and enjoying the view with a little snack is fantastic.

What an amazing day! Killarney Provincial Park as a whole is a stunning area, especially with all of the fall colours right now. The views however from the top of "The Crack" hiking trail, are even better! Despite being quite difficult when climbing up and back down the mountain, the photos I got at the top were absolutely worth it. I would definitely suggest proper hiking shoes and lots of water. Overall this experience was fantastic. We encountered a beautiful display of sunrays peaking through the clouds only amplifying the beauty of the landscape even more. Definitely not something I would personally attempt in the dark. If you're wanting to see the fall colours, enjoy a nice hike, and challenge your abilities, this is definitely the place to go.

Had a great time in fall. It was a beautiful place with several beautiful trekking trails. amazing views from the view points.

Excellent hike through a variety of forest. The rock and trees reminded me more of Massasauga Provincial Park and was very different from the landscape in the Killarney park. Saw a porcupine which was very cool.

Very nice trail around a beautiful lake. Very serene and picturesque. Recommend doing the trail counterclockwise to finish near the island. Involves a lot of rock climbing and there the markings are sometimes a bit lacking watch for the rock cairns and you should be fine. Nothing for inexperienced/underprepared hikers though.

Beautiful Park by the lake. Amazing views within a short walk and we enjoyed great family time on the beach. Then took a short walk to this tranquil area, where we took millions of pictures with the plane and ships!

We did four trails, preferring the two waterfront trails over the two inland ones. The water is where it's at!

Great camping site!
Lots of local hiking places and few spot to swim. The swim spots are smaller than others but less crowded. Plenty of drinking wells and the washrooms are well kept.
The front service desk opens at 8am. I suggest if you want to hike the crack register ahead of time to get your parking pass!

We did a 2 day hike (1 night) to H16 and back. The route is very clear besides a couple spots where you might want to pull out All Trails or take a minute to refind the path. Very beautiful sites. The path is much more challenging than expected, although we had a good time.

Did this trail this weekend with two senior parents. They found the uphill challenging (lots of exposed roots and rocks) but enjoyed the views. We took our time and had a couple breaks. Our seniors are still in good health and do not have major mobility issues so they were ok on the trail. Highly recommend walking sticks.
Beautiful nature typical of Killarney.

Great views, lots of hiking, great spot for swimming and paddling.
They have a lot of discovery programs for all ages.
Showers are good for a provincial park.
Everything in the main campground is within walking distance
Water filling station took 45 minutes to fill a small trailer. Only one water fill and 2 empty stations for trailers.
Use Killarney outfitters if you want to rent a canoe or kayak.

Stunning nature trail with (IMHO) the most beautiful place: at the end of the trail there is a little lake. I could have been here for ever.

Rented canoes here through Killarney Provincial Park - the canoes were stored in the provincial park premises, but we just had to drive here to get the keys to unlock the canoe, get paddles, and bail kit. The canoes are good quality and everything went smoothly. The store contains a large variety of camping gear. Note that a lot of it is quite expensive compared to other retailers, but it is good for convenience I suppose. Make sure to try the ice cream as well, it was pretty good!

What a fun spot! They have all your outdoor gear needs. They have a canoe filled with spices you can grab a couple for your paddling trip.

Breathtaking and rugged landscape, pine scented paths of mossy granite and quartz, challenging 100km hiking trail dedicated to the memory of The Group of Seven artist - Franklin Carmichael and the swimming conditions are near perfect. I say near because of the water snake that made me scream my bloody head off. Interior campsites available for those who register travel routes.

The view on the top would be great at sunny days, with the mountain and Georgian Bay afar. It is marked moderate, while if after the rain some rocks might be quite slippery, suggest to walk the trail with the help of sticks.

Great spot for kayak and canoe rentals. Tons of gear available to purchase. Ted always come through with advice on routes in the area and helping plan a great trip.

We hiked with a baby, 1 small dog and 3 young children. It was fun and easy.
With a few challenging parts, haha, but the view was worthy. We found caterpillars, worms, frogs, and a salamander, the kids loved it. Just keep your eyes open and move a few logs :)

Went to rent canoes from here for Killarney Provincial Park. Came here for the key and the vests, paddles, etc. The canoes are right at the main beach of George Lake.
The store is full of camping gear and essential groceries. We loved the picnic tables and flowers outside. You may pick from their herbs outside with plastic bags provided. It was very neat.
The lady explained to us how the rental works and was really helpful. Rentals are per calendar day, and we dropped off our gear and key after hours. A man was still there and helped us buy some ice even when the store was already closed. I was truly grateful.
Overall, the rental went smoothly, and they went above and beyond for us, so they deserve 5 stars.
Killarney Outfitters, you made my visit to Killarney 10 times better. Thank you so much!

It was a very nice trail. Not too difficult. However there are some ups and downs. The rock formations are stunning and great spots to take a break. Not too crowded either which was lovely 😊

My daughter and two grandsons and myself did a three day two night Philip Edward Island kayaking trip last week. Killarney Mountain Outfitters did a spectacular job outfitting us with everything required and then some. The meals were excellent and the campsite recommended on West Desjardins Bay was spectacular. I highly recommend their services!

We really liked this hike. Easy for the most part but with some ups and downs. The bog lake itself was stunning.

Easier and less scenic than other trails in Killarney. Completed it with our two min-goldendoodles, who had no issues with the trail. Starts in the forest for around a kilometre before ascending up the shield to a lookout point. One direction you can see to Georgian Bay and the other gives a view of the La Cloche range. Spent about an hour on the trail.

We completed this trail with our two min-goldendoodles. Typical of the Shield, rocky outcrops, lots of roots and rocks and some small scrambling sections. Easy to moderate with out dogs, but moderate with them depending on your level. Had to carry them once or twice and plan our next moves, especially after the bridge near the end. Amazing hike and well worth the views.

Always beautiful and fun to hike this loop. I've done it with friends and solo, over 3 nights. Unfortunately this time I broke my ankle the first day. Stopped in a perfect makeshift campsite and got a heli out. I'll be back.

Nicest people we met in Killarney. They accomodate your needs and inquiry. The guy who handle the life vest and paddle is very Friendly and so with the lady from Brampton who works there who never left the area since March.

Beautiful trail with good amount of elevation. There is a look out point. Go counter clock wise and take some rest at the peninsula almost 2/3 of the loop. Free parking available at the start of trail.

Terrible hike best spot is 2 minutes in and just go back out and there are flys like crazy

Exquisite walk beautiful trails

It is a very beautiful trail, but difficult for people with mobility problems. The trail is rocky, in some places marks are hard to see. And you need to be careful with rattlesnakes, which in sunny weather can bask in the sun. But the view from the top is amazing.

This is a small trail, but with very picturesque landscapes. The short and easy climb up the mountain is worth the effort because of the beautiful panorama. Shoes are important, as there are a lot of stones, roots and rattlesnakes can be found. Dogs must be on a leash for their own safety.

Enjoyed the trail, it's was marked as difficult, 60% of the trail is pretty much flat with a gradual increase in altitude and the trail gets a bit challenging when you reach the top, at some point you'll need to use all fours 🤚🤚🦶🦶.
The long climb is worth the view, it was breathtaking, you can enjoy 270 view.
Should bring enough water and snacks so you can stay hydrated and have enough energy to complete the trail. Don't forget the bug spray, You'll need it!!
Only one complaint was, people were smoking weed, which was annoying as others hikers were trying to enjoy the pristine view and the air.

This is an excellent, short hike, directly across the road from the entrance of Killarney Provincial Park.
It has some challenging sections for novice hikers but if you make it to the top you are rewarded with views of Georgian Bay on one side and the La Cloche mountains on the other.
Trail is marked well and easy to follow.
There is even an old, rusty random car beside the trail. I wonder what the story is behind that.

Absolutely amazing!! It's a 2 hour moderate hike with some incline. I wouldn't call myself a fitness freak but was able to complete the entire trail feeling good. Hiking poles helped :)
If you are going here for a couple of days, the annual provincial parks pass is a must. A visit to one of the hikes at Killarney costs about $25 and the annual pass gives you access to all Ontario provincial parks for about $110.
The view is absolutely amazing and you find some hidden treasures along the way (see pics). A lot of people go to Algonquin and I have found that to be extremely busy over the years. Killarney is a hidden gem that not a lot of people know. You would not be disappointed !!

True professionals, kind, friendly and efficient. It was our second time booking an outfitting trip, made our experience seamless and fun. We will be back for sure.

Such a great area with fabulous view. Perfect for canoeing and hiking.
I saw snake there so be aware of that. The trail is moderate and marked by orange sign, when you can’t find the signs on the trees look at the rocks, most signs are painted on the rocks.
Bring your own water and snack to have it in the wonderful view of Georgian Bay.
Don’t forget to buy your ticket from Killarney park centre.( the admission fee is 15.50$ per vehicle for whole day.)
It’s not a easy trail for kids and seniors but it’s manageable.

A loop trail with some steep sections leading up the cliffs. A great view of Silver Peak at the top. I suggest taking the loop counterclockwise so you can end at the bridge that leads to the only island on the lake. Great spot for lunch and a swim, before a short trek back to the trailhead.

Beautiful park; picked up canoe at Bell lake, for future notes that Killarney park offers canoes for $44 per day vs. Killarney outfitters at $50. Went all the way to David lake via Balsam lake, the 650 m portage is quite challenging with hills and terrain is rocky and uneven throughout, but the paddle overall is great.

Great spot, unfortunately not much space for people to park but kind of expected given the area. Have been several times and can't wait to go again. I would suggest adding a garbage can near the gate or closer to the lighthouse for those who spend a little longer out there.

Great east hike, we camp to the campground in the evening and walked around the site and ended up doing the hike too. Bit slippery on the rocks but fine view at the top.

Highly recommend this trail. The beauty is far beyond your imagination.

The trail itself is decent and was the first time I had been on George Island. I would highly recommend bug spray however as we made the rookie mistake of forgetting to bring any and got eaten alive. The view from the far side of the island is incredible and the path takes you over a series of different terrains from woodlands wetland, rocky outcrops and shoreline. Somehow I forgot to take any photos of the farside of the island.

Just love this trail with the beautiful pink rocks/boulders and the magnificent views of the Georgian Bay. We had lunch on the rock ledge over looking the water and islands … with the warm October sun and the sound water against the rock … the best of life is made up of moments like it!
Not exactly an easy hike but quite doable with proper foot wear and stick. Just watch out that you don’t put your step on those pine needles lying harmlessly in the rock … you may slide right down with them 😀. It probably is not a safe place to hike either on a wet day.

This is a rather fun trail that goes around George island. The trail itself is roughly 7km and should take the average group about 3-4 hours. I like this trail because of the very varied terrane you cover, wetlands, forest, beach, high rock outcrops, etc.

I recently remarked this trail in the spring after it had gone to ruin over several years. It was really enjoyable to bring it back to a navigable condition. Its a great tail that is rarely trekked and quiet, because of this its a great place to enjoy wildlife and foraging. It has some great views and peaceful shores. I'm only giving it 4 stars because I ran out of markers on the way back making it hard to currently follow the trail on the way out.

A nice hike; worth doing. We went CCW which I'd recommend. The start was very exposed and very hot in the afternoon sun. Trail finding was some times difficult but the trail was well maintained.

Great trail! Lots of air, sun, amazing bright stones and a magnificent view of the majestic Georgian Bay! The trail is straightforward and suites absolutely everyone!

Cranberry Bog trail is a loop trail which is about 4km. We could hear the birds singing along the way. Views on the trail are beautiful and includes water lilies, red granite rocks, lakes. Overall Really great Hiking and rock climbing trail.
Highly Recommend to visit this trail when in Killarney. Look at some of the photos and videos we took along the trail!!!

What a surprise! This is a not-to-be-missed site! We are a 70 and 64-year-old couple who enjoyed every moment of this hike. There are so tricky spots and rough climbing, but if you take your time it can be done. The first glimpse of the river and then of the bay are jaw- dropping. Take a snack or lunch, sit on the beautiful pink granite and enjoy the views which inspired the artists.

This is one of the most beautiful trails I've ever hiked - and I've hiked alot of them! Beautiful mixed forests. Gorgeous rock outcroppings and spectacular views from the high points.

Varied trail. Lots of roots and rocks and elevation changes. Good and plenty trail markers
Fabulous view of the Lake as well as a vista of Silver Peak.
Nice spot to picnic about 2/3 of the way around ( if you start on right hand side of the loop) and to cool off with a refreshing dip.

Great place, trails are beautiful and the scenery is gorgeous! Its fun to take a relaxing walk or go for a stroll with a group of rc enthusiasts. My personal fav is stopping to smell the flowers🌱🌼

This hike is not marked and it does not look maintained. There are no signs. We opted just to sit at the water and take a dip and take in the scenery. Limited parking.

Beautiful and breath taking trail to take it isn't a beginner type of hike it's something you should make sure you have first aid with you...when I walked part of this trail I had an injured foot and was able to do it with help but make sure be safe whenever you go hiking no matter where you go.

Loved this hike which offers really beautiful landscapes with the reflections on the lakes

Nice hike. The sign said 2-2.5 hrs to complete but I finished it in about 1.5 hrs. Lots of variety in scenery, such as a lake, bog, forests, and big rocks.

Road to get out here is pretty rough, but the trail is beautiful! A few difficult parts especially if wet, but it only took my partner and myself 2hrs. The trail is well marked.

Short easy walk to the lighthouse. Great place to sit on the rocks and look out on the Bay.

This is an out and back trail. This is a 7 km trail if you go to the very end. The trail is very well marked until you hit the Tar Vat Bay. Once you've hit Tar Vat Bay the yellow markers/ white markers become very sparse. Just try and follow the coast until you hit a nice pond with a campsite.

This is roughly a 3.5 km loop. It is a really nice trail. There are a few man made bridges and some great views of lakes, trees, rocks and water.
