Awesome trail for hot days, tons of shade and very few bugs

I would have given this place a 5 star but unfortunately there is way too many homeless encampments. I try to avoid them for safety reasons

Gorgeous trails, the nature is beautiful, can get a little steep at some sections and I'm a bit worried about the erosion on some sections as you can see where it has collapsed and needs to be reinforced. Some people don't pick up their trash or dog poop, which ruins the vibes. Many people walking their dogs on the trail, seems to be pretty perfect for that.

I love this trail and this area. Only thing sucks if they allowe the Townhouse complex to be build. I think it would ruin all the quite trail and the dog park and the bridge . All if it. But fingers crossed they don't get a permit to build. :/

Beautiful hiking area and lots of nature on view especially birds!

Lots of gorgeous flora and fauna, mushrooms and birds!

Kilally is a great trail for all levels.
If you stick to the paved path which is an out-and-back paved path it is very easy and accessible for all people walking, running, biking.
If you choose to take the path off the paved section, it is a mostly dirt path where you will experience more variation, ups & downs, dirt, rocks & bridges, loops, more trees and wildlife. Great for bird watching!

It's been longer than a decade since my most previous visit. This used to be a favourite haunt.
Things have changed.
It used to get 30 visitors on a busy weekend day. I seen 30 people in the first 5 minutes and lots of dogs too. Too many off leash.
The big trees are mostly gone..
Ha the stumps are barely visible.
It's changed. And yet familiar. And still a great place for a walk, on a beautiful fall day.
The Ontario Bee Rescue is across the road. Too.

We

A lovely peaceful place to enjoy morning/evening walks. Wildlife can be seen enjoying the nature as well :) I like that even though it is closer to residential area but it is still preserved and kept as natural as it can be.

Fantastic

One of the best hiking spots within London city limits. It’s a shame that the city is allowing development to encroach on this natural area. Lots of elevation changes, old growth trees and wildlife. Beautiful history bridge across the Thames river as well. Lots of new things to see with every season change. Gets very busy on weekends and holidays and parking is very limited, so car pool if you can.

Such a peaceful place to walk in nature. So happy that this beautiful place is preserved for everyone to enjoy and for plants and birds and other animals and insects to thrive. Too many natural spaces are being lost to development.

I was surprised to find such a trail in the middle of the city. It was well marked, and maintained. I have 3 stars because I don't see myself going back to the trail, as I would choose one that is a little more secluded from the world since I am from out of town anyways. I am glad to have gone once and if you are living in the city, and want a little escape it is quite nice. Had fun pointing out different birds we saw on the trail. The trail is not fully accessible although sections of it are. Would be nice for families as long as you are not sill in the stroller phase.

First time doing the full loop and loved it. The only part that was very confusing was coming out on Highbury and there is no indicator as to how you get back on the trail. Finally found a gate on a townhouse property and it led us back to the trail. Still no signage. Biggest disappointment is the garbage that people leave behind especially along the river.

This trail is beautiful! Lovely place to walk, enjoy nature, go bird watching and lots of wild flowers.

Our first time walking the trails. Peaceful, lots of different routes. Looking forward to exploring more of them. * update May 19/2021... took another route this week and loved it so much went again 2 days later! You can enter behind City Wide Sports Feilds parking lot. Yellow trail markers on the trees keep you on the path. Different paths to take. Nice hills to climb for a good workout and great canopy to hide the sunrays on a hot day.

We went here on a snowy Saturday morning. We were out for around two hours. We saw about 3 groups of people and saw signs of cross country skiers. It was beautiful and fun. There is decent diversity in the paths you can take; you can walk by the river, deeper in the woods, on some flat portions or some rolling hills. I would recommend downloading their map so you dont get lost. The maps mark the bridges, which make for great indicators of where you are on the trail. Great experience. We will be back to see it in spring/summer.
