Food is delicious - not too heavy and well balanced in terms of flavor. Would highly recommend. I really like the spicy tuna bowl - the sushi rice is delicately sweet and the rice is cooked very well so you can taste each grain. I’d also recommend any of the menu items that include the chicken katsu. It is lightly fried and lightly sauced. The oil and sauce are balanced so the flavor of the chicken is not overpowered. I would’ve taken a photo of the meal but I ate it too quickly!

For the Teriyaki Chicken Plate, they sauce the rice instead of the chicken. It is genius and absolutely hits the spot. Their trust in the quality of their chicken to pull this off is what makes it work. Chow Mein as a dedicated side in the plate is also an interesting but very awesome choice. Their curry is also delicious, and tastes homemade in the good way. Quaint and peaceful vibes inside the restaurant, you can tell a lot of the locals frequent this place. The elder Japanese lady operating the place is the nicest and I hope she lives a long life to continue to share her cooking 👌🏻

HOLE-IN-THE-WALL HOTSPOT: TERRIFIC TERRIYAKI

Affordable, delicious, and mostly housemade. Be sure to try their Chashu pork, as it’s something special and the favorite item we tried at lunch. The owner is super friendly and wants his patrons to have a great experience eating his tasty food.

Our family of four ordered a bunch of stuff to share during lunch among the many regulars:
- Dumplings: Only item I wouldn’t order again. Nothing special and not housemade.
- Fried Chicken Bowl with Veggies: Great karaage style chicken that is moist, flavorful, and perfectly crispy.
- Chashu Bowl: UH MAY ZING!!! Don’t sleep on the pork.
- Chicken Teriyaki Bowl: Kids loved it!

Great food spot. Affordable and they offer sauce and spices for you to use at your leisure. I eat a lot and XL bowl put me right to sleep

Had the teriyaki chicken/steak teriyaki combination plate. Some of the best teriyaki I’ve had, ever. Generous portions with a rich, flavorful sauce. Highly recommend.

Probably the best bento box I ever had! For $15 the bento boxes are a steal! Not only are the portions incredibly generous, the food is absolutely delicious! It was so good I literally had to write a review right after! The only issue I had was that my food was a tad too salty from the tears of joy 😭 that were coming outta me while I was eating my food.. I live 25 miles away and I'm coming back asap just for this beautiful bento! Hands down recommend this to anyone! Bring a big appetite if now be ready to bring home leftovers 😆

First of all, I normally don't leave a review unless I absolutely am satisfied with the product/service. This place is divine for one who loves Teriyaki. I highly recommend beef teriyaki plate, I been go all the teriyaki place but this place was the best teriyaki place that I ever had before. The meet was warm and moisture. They always put meet as much as they can put. Food came out really fast, this is just perfect for your lunch time. I really enjoyed my time there and will definitely return for more. Highly recommend this place to check out!

High quality food at cheap prices!! It is the best teriyaki I ever had. I couldn't decide between chicken and beef so ordered a combo bowl. I made a right choice! Both of chicken and beef were amazing. Also tried tiger roll, crunch roll, and popcorn chicken AND all of the food are super duper delicious!! Definitely coming back to try all the menus! Highly recommend this place!

Honestly the best Teriyaki I've had hands down an I'm a big Yoshinoia an waba grill fan.. If you hungry get the large the small is a tease the flavor is awesome rice Is perfect I definitely recommend Okazya 10 out of 10...

What a hidden gem hole in a wall.

I'm glad I gave this place a try, even though it's hard to spot and kind of in a sketchy area, especially near what looks like a vape shop(?)

I ordered spicy California roll and the size/portion was great (not like those stingy places where they cut it so small like ayce portions). Very satisfied.
But it was actually pretty spicy; I would have liked it a little milder but still good.

I also got the combo (chicken/beef) plate and it was good portions (but nothing beats in terms of massive portion/value as the place called Tikiyaki). I really liked the beef as it had this charboiled flavor.

The dressing was sesame which is one of my favorite dressings.

The prices obviously increased from the old photos that were available here, so I added a photo with current prices.

I would go back to this place again to try different rolls.

When ever I'm working at my dad's shop,I make sure to come here and get the extra spicy teriyaki chicken.cool little spot but parkings kinda hard to find some times.other than that,food is delicious.They've got ice cream, they sell little treats and drinks also.And depending on how busy they are the waits not to long.

Been going here for years, usually getting the party trays. The food is always very good. I personally prefer their beef bowls over chicken, as the beef seems to have better quality. The chashu pork bowl (pictured) is my new favorite. Their sauce is amazingly addicting. If you like teriyaki, this is a must try.

I've been a regular at Teriyaki Express in Fullerton, CA, for a while now, and I must say it's one of my go-to spots for a quick sushi bite. Don't be fooled by its fast food ambiance; the quality of the meals here is always top-notch. I've yet to experience a disappointing meal here and that, in itself, is quite an accomplishment!

On this particular visit, I ordered the Dragon Roll. As with my previous experiences, the staff was amiable and the service was brisk. The order was up in no time, and the portions were impressive, definitely providing a bang for your buck. The freshness of the ingredients was evident in every bite. The sushi was beautifully prepared, with each piece tasting as delicious as it looked. The balance of flavors and textures was just perfect, making every morsel enjoyable.

My only grief is that I don't live or work close enough to swing by more frequently. But whenever I'm in the area, I make it a point to stop by Teriyaki Express. It's a little gem in Fullerton that offers quality sushi that's quick, convenient, and oh-so-tasty!

So, if you find yourself in Fullerton with a sushi craving, do give Teriyaki Express a try. It might not have the ambiance of a traditional sushi restaurant, but it more than makes up for it with its quick service, friendly staff, and delicious food. Definitely worth the detour!
