Accidentally stumbled upon this sushi place. Serving is big so take easy on ordering. Sushi and calamari are good. Ambiance is so-so. Food was served fast. Not a fan of their miso soup and pad thai
Had a large group dinner at Wind. A going away party of sorts. 13 adults. Was a flawless adventure. Food was fresh and delicious, restaurant was clean, servers were great Samo was a great server. Very attentive always checking to see if we needed anything or our drinks refilled. Really great place. When Ont we will return

Great value offerings whether you choose the a-la-carte menu or the all-you-can eat. Service was friendly and fast; portions were large. I did not give it 5 stars because, personally, I would have liked the tempura slightly hotter, otherwise, portions were generous and crispy. They offer doggie bags and provide the sauces and cutlery to go with your leftovers, all in a paper bag. I even received 2 fresh beautiful stems for Mother's Day.
Unable to secure a reservation at our regular spot in Mississauga for Mother's Day, we decided to explore WIND Japanese and Thai in St. Catharines.
The restaurant's layout was a bit confusing at first, but we eventually found a comfortable table. Despite missing out on the novelty of being served by the robot, our server kindly accommodated our children's request for the unique experience. And let me tell you, the food exceeded our expectations, each bite of sushi was bursting with flavor and freshness, truly making it one of the most memorable dining experiences we've had in Ontario.

We had an amazing meal here. All the dishes were tasty and the service was excellent (especially for AYCE). All Dishes were also very nicely plated and presented. Stand out dishes are the torched sushi, deep fried Oreo, and the spicy salmon. We were also amazed at the large dessert menu - way more than at many sushi places.
The place was hopping even on a week night so we were glad me made a reservation. Parking is easy to find near by and the building the resto is in is very atmospheric and historic.
Only small note for anyone who needs barrier free access is that the washrooms (while clean and nice) are up a very steep flight of stairs. Not an issue for us but worth knowing about.
We will be back!

Service was attentive, didn't have to wait for our food, presentation was spectacular, sushi was fresh and wonderfully tasty. Loved the atmosphere, a full house! One of the best places in Niagara region :) Will most certainly be back.
We went during the week, in between meal times. Bathrooms were clean & awesome. The staff was friendly and so helpful. Food was brought quickly, and tasted great. One of the dishes was cold and the pieces were not bite size, but they quickly reheated it. A little pricy for lunch but still worth a taste! Recommend mango chili salad, calamari & cashew chicken.
Every time we come here, the food is fresh, the staff is friendly and it’s just amazing! Always a huge lift to out buddy week! We love coming here and our toddler loves the food too! Great options for a picky eater as well! Great job everyone!

Experience: My experience at Wind Japanese and Thai's all-you-can-eat option was truly exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm welcome and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant's cozy yet modern ambiance created the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience.

Food: Wind Japanese and Thai offers an extensive array of options, spanning both Japanese and Thai cuisine. While the sushi selections were outstanding, with each roll expertly prepared and bursting with flavor, what truly stood out was the wide variety of other dishes available. From classic Thai curries to delectable sushi rolls, there was something for every palate, and each dish was impeccably executed. Additionally, the Thai coffee was absolutely delightful, with its rich and aromatic flavor providing the perfect end to the meal.

Service: The service at Wind Japanese and Thai was attentive and hospitable. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the staff remained attentive to our needs, ensuring that our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. They were knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations, enhancing our overall experience.

Value: The all-you-can-eat option at Wind Japanese and Thai provided incredible value for the quality and variety of food offered. Compared to other nearby options, Wind's lunch menu stood out not only for its diverse sushi selection but also for its extensive range of Thai dishes, all at an affordable price point.

Comparison: In comparison to other nearby establishments, Wind Japanese and Thai surpassed expectations. While other restaurants may offer decent sushi or Thai cuisine, Wind's superior variety, taste, and value set it apart as the ultimate destination for a satisfying and delightful dining experience.

Overall Impression: I highly recommend Wind Japanese and Thai's all-you-can-eat option to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. With its diverse menu, attentive service, and excellent value, Wind Japanese and Thai truly stands out as a top choice for sushi and Thai food enthusiasts alike.

5 stars for the sushi and people that work there. Other than the yt college and students who think they “rich or special” just for eating ayce sushi, that stare or glare, you’ll be glad you went.

The torched sushi is amazing!

We have been going to this restaurant for years back to the time it was called East Japanese. While some things have changed over the years, one thing has remained consistent - the food is great and so is the service.
We most recently dined during Family day and they even had a balloonist and face painting for kids so that was an added bonus our 8 year old appreciated very much. The kitty serving robot (as my daughter calls it) kept her entertained.
As a vegetarian myself with a husband who loves meat, this restaurant provides the perfect food options for both of us. My favourites are the yam roll, the vegetable udon and the grilled eggplant. My husband will never say no to the white tuna and spicy salmon tuna, the shrimp tempura hand rolls, the beef tempura and calamari. The mango and coconut ice creams are perfect for dessert the end.
Service is always polite and fast but make sure you have a reservation especially during the weekend as they can get busy. The ordering is done through an iPad and we like the fact there are pictures for everything with a description.
Pricing for the “all you can eat” varies depending if it is lunch or dinner and if it is weekend or during the week. While it is a bit on the higher end, it is totally worth it. We highly recommend this restaurant and hope it will continue to be our favourite Japanese restaurant for years to come!

Great place to go for an all you can eat. There’s a lot of unique dishes to order and they come pretty fast. The vibe is nice and the restaurant is beautiful. The only thing is that I recommend you make a reservation well in advance - maybe even a day+ in advance because it gets packed fast. If you want to get seated the day of, you’ll have to wait a long time, and may not even get seated if it’s close to closing.

Ordered Maki set A and paid $18.08, I was really disappointed that the quality has gone extremely low. The size of the rolls and portions were huge, but the quality was very bad and not enjoyable to eat (which is especially not good for sushi)! I waited in the restaurant 10 minutes while they prepared my order and could observe their customers, perhaps that's what people want and who they are catering to, but it's certainly not good by any normal standards. The quality used to be much better, but I had to throw away 80% of my order because it was too dodgy and the other customers in the restaurant were rather dodgy too, unfortunately!

If you’re looking for sushi, this is the place. Nice cut sashimi, not like other AYCE cut this slices.

Get the Sago for dessert! Best ordering system...keeps track of what's pending and still up so you can abort some items if getting full. Green tee is brewed in the carafe from loose leaf. The delivery robots play classical music.
This first time coming to Wind Japanese and Thai, there is a very good variety and the flavours are amazing 10/10 and the deep fry ice cream was boooooomb!!!

See you soon!!

Only thing. I wish they could separate big groups away from single/couples tables

This is our favourite place for takeout Sushi! You can't beat their prices for the amount of sushi you get. Perfect for a Friday or Saturday night get-together with friends, or a family night! Plus, we always have leftovers for the next day. Once you try it, it'll be your new favourite place!
Second visit here, love it. Our server Nathan, his second day of work took extra effort to ask if we want some sauce, i asked for spicy mayo. Food service is fast, ipad self serve order, clean washroom. Only disappointment, there is no eel sashimi. I tried the newly recent add items such as the eel pizza, torched sushi, they are tasty! We tried each of the dessert, my fav is the fried ice cream and the creme brulee is spot on to die for. The size of edamame is smaller than the past. My fav dish is the pad thai, can also ask for smaller portion. The sahimis are fresh and the beef is good, no after taste. We used the $10 voucher, pricing had gone up a little from last year, now is $40.99 for dinner. Would definitely come back again!

We went as a group of 4 for a small celebration dinner. We all enjoyed the meal very much!

Service was fast, food came out quickly, was all good portion sizes, tasted good, and we got everything we ordered. Seems a bit on the expensive side, but I haven't dined in here for a while, $185, before top, for 4 adults with one $10 bottle of sake, and no other alcohol....

Thank you for a positive experience.

$92 For disappointment.

My wife and I have been enjoying this place for years. Sadly, the overall quality has greatly diminished. We were accustomed to Seasons being on the pricier side, but their food has suffered in quality. They have replaced their staff with robots who obviously don't need to be paid, yet my bill was somehow $92 for just the two of us; the most expensive I've ever seen it.

And they still expected a tip.

The Sheer audacity in assuming They can cheap out their quality and ask for more money has left a sour taste in our mouths that won't be fading away any time soon. Consider our business lost.

I visited East Izakaya for the very first time in October 2023 (apologies for the delayed post), with my partner and I cannot recommend it enough!
We originally called the restaurant to book a reservation and was told it was going to be about an hour wait, but the person on the phone mentioned that we could take a chance and turn up to see if there was a table free at that time. We took her advice, got in a Uber and turned up. We waited about 10 minutes and was shown to a table. Afra was our server that night and she was fantastic! From her very polite manner to her great recommendations, thank you. Because of Afra, I tried sake for the first time and was not disappointed :) The whole evening was fantastic, the food was delicious and fresh and everyone was so polite, even the robot server.
I highly recommend East Izakaya, you won't be disappointed. I do recommend booking in advance though, we were lucky that night. When we're back in St. Catharines, we will be sure to visit again

Great place to eat. The only reason I 4 starred the service is that sometimes the wrong items show up or go missing when you order on the tablet, but it's not an issue. The amazing food makes up for it.

Omg loved it. My bf and my brother sat there for 3 hours almost. YES we did all you can eat. Yes reserve your tables, it gets busy (I went there at Boxing Day) carry cash on you if you want to tip your server (i unfortunately didn’t but next time I come I’ll get some cash on me) my server was George and he was a sweetheart.

Loved their matcha ice cream I ordered it four times, I haven’t had a green tea ice cream that great anywhere else in Ontario, even their matcha cheesecake. Also we ordered the Clam Sake 3 times too, we are personally big fan of it in general. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was their seafood soup, it wasn’t for me perhaps for someone else. But yeah 10000/10 recommended.

The important things like the sushi was good but some of the side dishes I didn't like the flavors, like the skewers were actually curry flavor unbeknownst to us when we ordered.
The robot servers were pretty cool.

Sushi Paradise was our go-to for years. We are moving and they surprised me on my last pick up with a thoughtful note and gift to thank us and wish us luck.

Aside from the thoughtful gesture and outstanding service, the food never disappointed. We loved it.

I love their options available for the "all you can eat" menu. I love to start with a miso soup or wonton soup.

If you like appetizers try their "coconut shrimp" and "crab meat with cream cheese deep fried wonton".

Dessert: Their home made creme brule is VERY GOOD. I definitely recommend it.

Also, if you've never tried MELONA, that's your chance! The melon flavour is my favorite, but they change the flavors available frequently. Check what's available. 😊

We picked this location randomly amd we were extremely impressed.

The service was quick and friendly and the addition of the robot servers was a surprise and very neat

The food was well presented and delicious especially the sashimi!!!!

The only advice I'd give is to refresh the seating as it's becoming cracked and worn looking. If it weren't for that this place would have 5 stars from my family
Just had an amazing experience at Wind, a sushi restaurant that I can't believe I hadn't visited before. The sushi here is unbelievable and the freshness truly shines through.

I was impressed by the variety of sushi available on the menu, including sushi, sashimi, soups, and more. The sashimi was so delicious that it practically melted in my mouth like butter. I couldn't help but keep ordering more.

I was also really impressed by the customer service at Wind. Our waitress, Carry, was exceptional - she was friendly, attentive, and made our dining experience even better. We opted for the all-you-can-eat buffet, which was definitely worth it for the quality and quantity of food we received. The only downside to Wind is that parking is pretty hard to come by. But that didn't detract from the overall experience for me. I highly recommend Wind to any sushi lovers looking for a new favorite restaurant. I give it a full 5 stars and can't wait to visit again soon.

Very nicely decorated interior. Salmon is nice a fresh. Good privacy between booths. Cannot really hear the other tables. The kitchen is a little slow. Suggest you order the steam items first. The steamed custard boas are not actually custard. The pan fried noodles tasted like leftovers. Service was okay but one of the waitresses seemed annoyed the entire time. They did clear the empty place quickly. Staff can speak Mandarin. Clean washrooms. Free WiFi. One TV to keep you entertained. Plenty of free parking. Good accessible to all tables and washroom. No credit card surcharge. Bus hub across the street at the Pen Center. The table was not clean when seated.

The food was amazing but the portion sizes seem to be a bit too large for an all-you-can-eat. I definitely recommend taking it easy on the ordering.
Atmosphere's nice, the overall price and experience was reasonable. I definitely recommend it but I also recommend that they lower their portion sizes.
