Tempura was crispy, not oily, great taste. The ribs were very soft with flavorful sauce. The unagi don was so good. The sashimi was very fresh. Great service. The owner went to all the tables which was a very nice touch. Definitely will go back.
We had an amazing lunch here today. Food was delicious and service was great. Loved everything we tried. Plan to go back!

I did the takeout and it always really tasty. I love the flavor. The only thing that is need to be improved is that I think the udon quality is not quite consistent sometimes.

Nice place for a weekday lunch. The service was quick and the food tasted great. I ordered a couple of rolls and they threw in a miso soup.

The place looked small at first but there is more seating at the back. We ended up chatting for quite a while and didn't feel rushed. I didn't see anyone having to wait for a table.

Gaku Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with its fresh, high-quality food and excellent service. Each dish is carefully prepared, allowing you to truly savor the flavors. The portions are on the smaller side, which is a positive as it allows you to taste and enjoy a variety of dishes. The atmosphere is cozy, making it a great spot for a relaxed meal. If you're looking for a place with consistently good food and attentive service, Gaku is definitely worth a visit. Just be prepared to order a few more dishes to satisfy your appetite!

Friendly and accommodating staff. The bentos were out quick and tasted good . I modified mine to replace the rice with more salad and they were flexible enough to do it.

I really like the salmon ikura Seiro set. There are good combinations of food! The salmon ikura rice bowl is very tasty! The soup of udon is a bit salty. But overall is great!

Went without reservation around 8pm on Sunday night. However, there was a wait with a few groups of people ahead…Strange as there was an area which was literally quite empty with 2 tables occupied but apparently they have finished their meals and the rest of the tables were ALL empty. Not sure why they didn’t try to accommodate anyone in that area, but instead gave a false sense of the restaurant being packed. Probably waited 10 min to be seated.
My guess is they were trying to cordon off the area and not have more customers in that section. We were all seated in the adjacent area shortly after about 10 min of wait. My friend and I agreed that the restaurant was very cold; I could feel the restaurant had cold air draft. The temperature made the stay uncomfortably chilly and I usually prefer cold over hot surroundings too. I was also concerned that would cause my food to cool down rapidly.
I had read some reviews prior to coming to the restaurant. Appeared to me that the cream udon, especially the Mentai cream sauce udon was popular and was raved about by other reviewers so I decided to give it a try since I do like Japanese Italian pasta. Unfortunately it was beyond salty for me. I finished the food since I was hungry but I couldn’t say I enjoyed it at all. It was an overload of sodium which overwhelmed the taste of the other ingredients. All I could taste was the extremely salty cream sauce. I understand that the seasoned cod roes and parmesan cheese combo might be the reason for that result but it should have been adjusted to make it more palatable. I was however able to finish the food by washing down the food with water. It’s a pity cos I had really looked forward to having it especially after the raving reviews I had read. Most Japanese restaurants serve this dish using ramen vs udon but none of them is as salty as this place. I should have done a soup udon instead.
My friend chose the more traditional option of the nabeyaki udon and the only complaint was that the portion was small for the price that was charged. My regular portion was enough since I didn’t enjoy it.
I did enquire with the server before leaving if it’s normal that the cream udon I had was so unusually salty to be enjoyed and he responded that he would convey the feedback to the kitchen.
Anyway, based on my experience I can’t recommend this place and at this point I think the food is overrated.

Highly recommend the super Philly roll and the Andy roll. The food was good and the size of the actual sushi itself was big so I felt happy I got my money’s worth. We got 4 special rolls total and it was $78 total excluding tip

I've eaten here several times. Last year I thought the udon noodles were too hard, but today I think it's just right. Maybe it's because of the cold noodles.

I ordered Niku cold noodles ( beef ) and friend ordered mentaiko cream udon .

I like my Niku udon $18 especially the udon texture , perfect for me , and comes with great beef .

mentaiko cream udon on top with Parmesan cheese , salty but testy $18

Came here for dinner as I had wanted to try out their charcoal grilled dishes. Ordered beef skewers from the yakitori menu, grilled Barracuda fish from the Specials, and grilled squid and grilled onigiri with uni from the regular menu. Everything tasted good and uni was fresh but the fish did have quite a lot of bones. Ended the meal with a yuzu and honey cheesecake but it tasted and had the consistency more like that of a custard pudding. The service was good and the staff were very nice and friendly. They have extended their operating hours to 11pm daily. 1st time here but wouldn’t mind returning.

This place has quickly became my favorite sushi spot in northern San Jose and Santa Clara. The sushi is always fresh and hugely portioned. The udon is basic, but the tempura is always extra crispy and filling. Lastly, their bento box, a usual staple, is delicious on all items and reasonable priced.

Additionally, their Tako Nigiri and Agedashi Tofu are my favorite appetizers here.

Really really good skewer. So close to what we’ve had in Japan. Love the salt flavor. It really tries to bring out the true flavor of food! They must but very confident in their the quality of their ingredients. Charcoal is also the key!! I highly recommend the wings and thigh skewer, the beef tongue, and the shrimp karaage. 😍

I got the tempura udon. Maybe other flavors are special, mine was not. The noodles didn’t taste different compared to udon I can buy at a typical Asian grocery store. Soup and tempura were alright.

Others in my party got the mentai cream and curry options. No one was extremely enthusiastic about their food either. Ambiance-wise it is well-decorated and a good place to connect with friends. Our server was awesome and gracious, which is why I added an extra star. Good groups but I won’t be back if it’s just for the food.

Gaku is one of those hole in the wall Japanese restaurants that you frequent because you can’t get traditional Japanese dishes like takowasa, ika sugatayaki, yakitori, or ankimo anywhere else.

Extremely late post with pictures of food that I’ve eaten at Gaku over the seasons.

Highly recommend if you want traditional Japanese food with the atmosphere.

Whenever I have an udon craving, we have to make a stop over at udon mugizo. The noodles are al denté and the udon broth flavor is not overpowering nor too salty.

I usually order the tempura udon and love their tempura which is light, airy, and crunchy. If you like kitsune (tofu skin) in your udon, the kitsune one is pretty good and adds sweetness to it. The takoyaki can be a hit or miss but I still order because I have to the takoyaki everywhere I go.

The mentai cream udon is very rich and recommend to try every once in awhile. And although I did try the uni cream udon before previously, it wasn’t as fulfilling as their regular udons.
Had the lunch bento picture on right AWESOME. Then went back on Mother's Day for the dinner Minato Box picture on left the photo is what I had for $19.00
Nice little establishment. Staff were on point. Hot tea was nice. I asked about ceramic instead of plastic for the tea. The staff did a good job for a arbitrary request. Does it matter? A little bit as far as temperatures.

Now the fish. I ordered the Sashimi appetizer platter. It was very good. I can end the review on a high note there. I would recommend. The fish mix was nice, flavorful and buttery. This was my first time trying Sashimi and thank you for making it a good time.

Okay, now the spicy tuna roll. I don't know why sometimes it's softer mix for the tuna but based on that and the portion size I am going to take a few points off.

Speed of service was very good for having a sign in sheet.

Udon is in the name so we had to get udon dishes. We ordered: tonkatsu udon, mentai cream udon and nabeyaki udon. Ordered regular sizes and it was plenty with some leftovers. Also ordered tempura gyozs. It was I threshing. The gyoza was wrapped in a seaweed and then tempura. Appreciated the fresh Wasabi that came with the dipping sauce. Plenty of parking.

A brilliant bento box, with a great selection of choices.

I had the tripple bento, with teriyaki beef, chicken katsu and tuna nigiri. All were great and served quickly with a lovely miso soup that really hit the spot!

Excellent value for money in this area and a great place to go.
Warm service and reasonable prices.

Went here for the first time tonight and our dinner was wonderful. The staff were so quick and very nice. Everything tasted fresh and light. My tempura was very delicious and the serving of garlic edamame was huge! We highly recommend this place and will be back as our go to sushi spot. Happy we decided to stop in
They know how to pick their ingredients. Fresh and tasty. Best sushi spot in the South Bay. Amaebi and uni are standouts.

I came here with a couple of friends for lunch today and the food was delicious. I had the Tonkatsu Udon and almost finished the entire bowl. The shrimp tempura was cooked to perfection and everything was hot and fresh.

The staff was great and accommodating and the restaurant was nice and clean. We sat in a booth so it felt nice, quiet and private. Thank you for the great lunch!
I’m not a big sushi guy but my wife and daughter love it. This place is amazing. I strongly recommend it. Great service, great ambiance and excellent food. Best in San Jose and the Almaden area.

Probably the best Japanese BBQ I had in the bay so far, although not inexpensive. The lighting is good for photography.

Recommend the skewers, uni with jelly and egg rice. Fish liver is too dry and I don’t recommend it.
Very welcoming environment. They were quick to serve us. There was a wait list in the beginning but we quickly were seated. This place was open when others were closed on President's day and the food didn't take long to get to us. They had a cute star wars theme going on which contributed greatly the amazing atmosphere

We have heard great things about this place. However, it did not live up to the hype of what we heard. We went at 5:15 PM thinking that would be the best time. It was not. There was one hostess/waitress. While the restaurant was small, it was loud. My hot tea was refilled once, and it was more hot water than tea. My water was never refilled. Last but not least, the server was overwhelmed and never paid attention to our needs. The rolls were to loose, and everything fell out.

Gaku is one of my favorite restaurants in the Bay Area. I have never had a bad meal here in the last ten years I’ve been going. My consistent favorites are the fried shrimp, spicy chicken wings, and the Gaku udon. A new item we tried out were the yuzu fried chicken skins and those were fantastic as well. All of the yakitori is great and much recommended.

Gaku is perfect for date nights and for nights out with friends. Definitely come here for a consistently great dining experience.

Over-rated. Has been around for a long time,. Wonder how it survived. Thursday busy lunch hour has only my wife and I. Soup was too salty. Tempura was cold. Soybeans were recooked several times, no taste. Only good thing is price and portion.
Fresh sushi direct from Japan. Wide menu selection with daily specials will not disappoint!
Came here for a Saturday lunch as a party of two as we strolled through Nihon Machi on Sixth avenue. Was pleasantly surprised by good portions of food and good menu prices. We ordered chicken teriyaki, California roll, and a side order of gyoza, all very good. It took about 15 minutes to get seated, and the service was friendly and attentive. Casual, family-friendly vibe and atmosphere all around. Restaurant is open for a few hours at lunch, then closes, then re-opens for dinner. Recommended!

My family recently discovered this wonderful spot right in our own backyard. Hands down the best Japanese restaurant in this area. Very reasonably priced and great food with generous portions. Been back multiple times in a short period of time due to how impressed we've been with every visit. Recommended by us to all of our friends.

Quality of the food here is great and very authentic, though priced on the higher side. We enjoyed the sashimi and rolls. Atmosphere is very lively and the space seems best for smaller parties. It usually gets very busy during peak hours, so it's recommended to coming early to avoid waiting longer. Parking can be tough in the plaza lot but it's usually ok.

My family and I have just discovered this location. We have been here about five times. The sushi portions are generous and fresh. All of the rolls we have tried have been delicious. The service is always attentive if anything is needed and always really friendly.
Ordered the Big Smile roll and the salmon Maki on Uber eats. Overall rolls were good. Fish quality was good, not too much rice, and the rolls were rolled neatly. Order came with ginger, wasabi and soy sauce. However, they did forget my chopsticks and since this is a delivery order, they should be providing the utensils. Prices were normal for a sushi restaurant in this area. Selfishly, I do wish they were more salmon rolls on the menu.

Overall, solid sushi , they have a huge menu with lots of variety: sushi, noodles, bento box etc — would come again in person and would order delivery again with them!

My cousin from San Jose recommended this to me and I'm glad I tried it out because yakitori is one of my favorite foods.

The flavors, vibes and dim lighting at Gaku Yakitori take me back a visit to Tokyo. I've been twice to Gaku in two weeks and can't wait to come back for more. For my first visit, they ran out of a lot of items, so it shows how popular they are and how loyal their customers are. During dinner, the place was packed and I could here people speaking Japanese, so I could tell it's an authentic spot.

My favorites were the chicken thigh and wing skewers of course, but everything hit the spot. They nailed the flavors here-- good quality meats, sauces, and everything was grilled to perfection. The appetizers were also tasty. Everything tasted great with the draft Asahi and brown rice tea.

I do recommend a mix of appetizers and skewers here. Japanese people eat tomatoes and edamame with beer, so I recommend those two. Shrimp karaage, gaku spicy wings, chicken wings, chicken thigh, bacon steak, meatballs, butabara, and king oyster mushroom are great. The desserts are also good. When I went there was a special dorayaki with red bean and whip cream that we had to try. The green tea creme brulee was another tasty way to finish dinner.

Sushi is good. I only go here because of the mango crunch. I like that for birthdays they dim the lights and have the staff come out and make noise to celebrate you. However, the service sometimes sucks. It's been a few times where I get seated immediately, but the server takes forever to come take the order. Then, once your food is out, they barely come check in to see if you need refills. If you waive them down, they look upset.
The steamer baskets are super! Also great nabe options, especially on stormy days. Service is friendly and fast. Dishes served in correct order. The agedashi is tasty. The staff checks often if anything else is wanted. The plain rice 🍚 is good!

The combination meals are great!

If you're not a fan of traditional Japanese cuisine and lean towards Americanized or Korean/Chinese-influenced Japanese dishes, Okayama might not be your top choice. However, if you're seeking a more authentic Japanese experience, this restaurant delivers. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted with a warm smile. The attentive and polite service, along with the aroma reminiscent of a Japanese home kitchen, set the tone. Okayama stands out with thick sushi slices, a departure from neighboring establishments. The classic Japanese home-style cooking impressed us, and the portions and prices were reasonable. Although slightly off the main street, free parking at the back and side street adds convenience. For a reasonably priced fish-centric dinner for three in San Jose, Okayama is worth trying. Our diverse selection, including Philadelphia, Golden California, Summer Smoothies (Mango), Shrimp Tempura R, Dynamite Roll, Dragon Roll, Crunch Roll, Tempura Mix Appetizer, and Iced Tea, was both delicious and a good value.
So glad we stop here for dinner on a business trips near San Jose. Very authentic Japanese foods. Yummy and Fresh delicious foods. Friendly staffs with reasonable prices. Love to come here again.

The service is very rude. Sashimi wasn’t fresh, it was very dry, and tasted like had been frozen for ages. I also ordered a lobster rolls, but the intimation crabs were gone bad and sour, and there was a long strand of hair in the sushi. I definitely won’t go back again, so disappointed.
The stuff is very friendly, they know us by our faces now, we go back 2-3 times/month. I think the price is good for sushi place and there are lots of options for sushi choices but there are also other kinds of Asian food so everyone can find something. What we also like is that they are open 6 days a week until 11pm so when every other place is closed there is still something to eat. Food is good quality and tasty. This our go to sushi place when you don't want fancy but still have a good meal. I would definitely recommend.

The place is clean and the atmosphere is vibrant. I like their decorations and their delicious food!

The spicy pork ramen was tasty, the pork was thick and tender. The broth was well made, and the noodles are good as well.

The California is a regular cali roll. You can’t go wrong with it.

The deep fried crab meat that goes with the juice from the sliced orange was well balanced. You wouldn’t want to miss out this dish when you come here!

@tokyosushisanjose is our family's favorite sushi spot in San Jose. It’s been around for 30 years! We love coming here with our family and friends. They always take care of us.

So, if you like omakase, order their Sushi and sashimi Combo 🍣! It’s the cheapest way and most delicious way to enjoy omakase, and it’s so beautifully presented.

All their rolls are excellent, very fresh, and delicious. The Andy’s roll was my favorite, I just love the deep-fried onion on top of the rolls. The 💙 Tokyo was very good also, and if you’re feeling a little naughty, then y’all gotta try 🩷 the Triple X (XXX) Roll 😏.

The Tokyo Sushi Boat Special ** with Chef's choice** was AMAZING!! Perfect for any occasion, especially birthdays! Must order, you won’t be disappointed. It’s so good!

Last but not least, don’t forget to order their delicious bento boxes, tempuras, pokes and many more…

This restaurant was open after 2 pm on a Friday in Japantown so we stopped by. We ordered a couple of bentos and one sushi. It was fine, not wow, but we were hungry and it was a late lunch. The serving size for the bento was generous. Service was nice.
We ordered a bunch of different sets and they are pretty good in general. The appetizers were not what we expected but they weren’t so wrong either. Will come again!

鮭魚茶泡飯 - surprising delicious!
鯖魚一夜乾 - good as it should be.
鮭魚湯泡飯 - great comfort food dish!
豬排烘蛋 - wish it had more sauce but I do like it.

唐揚雞 - the flour coat was thinner than expected, but the marinaded chicken was delicious.
唐揚豆腐 - the flour coat is the chewy type. I personally prefer the crunchy type but both are authentic.

One of the best vegetarian sushi rolls selections in the San Jose area hands down. Kan also has very fresh raw fish, uni, shrimp selections. They even have a fresh catch board. Sadly I had to take one star away because they often don't have kampyo which is part of their vegetarian sushi menu and they also run out of tamago sometimes. Service is very nice, especially if you're return customer and the service staff recognize your face. Environment is cozy and homely. photo was from Dec 2019, side order of yellowtail sashimi.

We had a long layover and chose to eat at Sushi Boat. We ordered chicken Katsu, tempura, and udon seafood soup. The food was surprisingly good for being in the airport. The portions are large. They did a nice job for us. If ever we have enough time on a layover in San Jose we will be back..
Great environment. Legit Japanese place with the menu items you would expect. Very delicious. Easy to get to as well and plenty of parking. I will definitely be back when I return to San Jose.

tonkatsu was HUGE and really tasty. the katsudon was meh (egg was fully cooked through and no dashi taste)

they are heavily understaffed though, and only had one waitress handling the front of the house. she was constantly running around (literally) to serve people
My autistic son loved his teriyaki chicken, but he needed more rice cuz one cup isn't enough. On the other hand, my wife ordered the Chirashi and which came with three times more rice than my son's dish. For me, I ordered the salmon miso which was salty to me but still edible. In addition to salad and miso soup, our dishes came with tofu and pickled ginger & cucumber. Just a lot of parking in the plaza but the restaurant seating capacity is small, probably around 30 guests.

A picture says a thousand words. But also my teriyaki salmon tasted like it was grilled in chicken gristle and covered in watered down sauce. The rice is under cooked. And that’s the saddest excuse for a salad that I’ve ever seen.
Food is made fresh and delicious. We had the sashimi, UFO roll, gyoza, and soft shell crab. They were all do good. I even enjoyed the ginger and the wasabi. I would definitely be eating here again
Also they are very quick and kind with the service.
I had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant! From the moment I stepped in, I was impressed by the overall ambiance and the delicious food they offer.
To start, we ordered the tempura veggies appetizer, and it was simply fantastic. The vegetables were perfectly crispy and flavorful, making for a delightful start to the meal. As a lover of fresh oysters, I couldn't resist trying them here, and I was blown away by how yummy they were! They were incredibly fresh and truly a highlight of the afternoon.
Moving on to the main course, I opted for the chirashi and BBQ Rolls. Both dishes were packed with flavor and left me wanting more. The chirashi was a delightful assortment of fresh fish and sushi rice, beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. The BBQ Rolls were a delightful combination of flavors, and every bite was a burst of deliciousness.
The service was exceptional throughout my visit. Our waiter was attentive and took great care of us, ensuring that we had everything we needed. The food arrived promptly, and we were impressed by how fast it was served.
The only aspect that I found slightly disappointing was the lighting inside the restaurant. It was a bit dim, which made it slightly difficult to see the food clearly. However, this minor issue did not overshadow the overall fantastic dining experience.
In conclusion, this is a great place with truly delicious food. The tempura veggies appetizer, fresh oysters, chirashi, and BBQ Rolls were all highlights of my meal. The attentive service and prompt delivery of the food added to the overall positive experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience, although be prepared for a slightly dimly lit ambiance.

I'm not a fan of greasy food at airports so this was where I chose to get my first meal of the day. They were stocking the grab n' go portion of their restaurant so I waited patiently and eagerly, for about 5 seconds lol. I grabbed their Rainbow Roll. It was topped with an assortment of soft and tender fresh fish , and filled generously with sweet and fresh avocado and crab filling. It went very well with a small dab of soy sauce. It was delicious and great quality too, on par with sushi I've had in Japan. I reccomend the sushi since that's all I've had the time to try. The men at the counter and working the food were kind and greeted me instantly. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Wow this place is amazing. The miso soup tastes waaaay better than other miso soups I've had. The waitress was so sweet to my 2yo, even cut up the tofu in the soup so it was smaller for him to swallow. I got a shrimp sushi roll and my husband got the miso ramen. The portioning of edamame was more than enough for two people.

There's a vintage singing fish at the front door lol

The yakitori here is amazing - we ordered beef, chicken meat ball and chicken wings, they all tasted so good. Especially the beef, so tender, fresh and flavorful. We also had rice and salad, they also had great quality. The sauce for the rice was very yummy. It’s a bit pricy but I think worth it! Highly recommend!
Suggested as one of the best sushi in the area on Yelp and by a suggestion from the hotel we stayed at in the area.
We ordered sushi apps as the staff suggested it. plus tempura plates, eggplant, and gyoza steamed.
For my main course, I had the world famous (not) Ribs. Let's start with the staff.
Staff was AMAZING! Kelly was one of the best servers in a long time.
the food was good and fresh, the ribs were just ok. I have had much better. the apps were excellent!
Atmosphere was to be desired. needed a clean up and fix up as there were piles of stuff in corner tables.
photos of different food on the table we ordered everything from tempura meals to udon meals. Katsu seemed to be a big hit. but what made this place get 4 stars was the service.

Stopped by this location of Sushi Boat first time in 3+ years. It was a complete disappointment. The food was awful, service was rude, and the place was dirty as hell. On top of that, this was the only place where I used my credit card on my business trip to the Bay Area. 10 days later, someone started using my credit card and buying things in Alviso, CA, and online stores.

What an awesome place! This place is tucked away in a strip mall. I happened to run across this restaurant while staying at the nearby Homewood Suites hotel.

I ordered the bento box for dinner. At first I thought it was pricey but you definitely get your money's worth! The atmosphere is quiet and the service is fast and friendly.

I wish this restaurant would work out a discount program with the nearby hotel. This would draw a lot more customers in.
The portions were pretty small though everything tasted pretty good. The fish on the sushi was particularly tiny and esp. the toro pieces were also super thin. The toro itself was top notch though, just overpriced for the amount you get compared to other places.
Because of how tiny they were, gyoza barely had any meat inside as well.

Good service. Food wise, was a little disappointed. If you are looking for authentic Japanese cuisine, i am afraid its not. Judge for urselves. Food is fresh and delicious. Worth a try for sure
Sushi was pretty good. The hamaxhi portion was much smaller and more expensive than normal. The soft shell crab appetizer was okay, a bit mealy.

Been coming to this same restaurant since 2017. They've changed names, but their food has stay the same and i see some new items on the menu. My favorite has to be the beef rib miso Ramen and deep fried Cali roll. My daughter loves her chicken teriyaki and shrimp ebi.

I do go here often. The quality of food is good, but the service quality is a hit and miss. They got friendly staff but in the last two visits, they had a single waitress for the entire restaurant while someone else sat on the counter simply handling take out delivery " yup they're busy for takeouts". You may have to wait to get your order to be taken, but the food is good, looks fresh and tasty.
A hole in the wall sushi spot. Okay food, but pricy for what it was worth. Good service. I ordered the "Katsudon" and my friend ordered several pieces of sushi. There weren't labels on what each sushi is, so if you aren't familiar, be sure to look it up beforehand.

For both dishes there is a large rice ratio, for me I prefer to have less of a rice ratio to my food. The service itself was good though and they check on you regularly. Wouldn't come back mostly because I want to check out other restaurants near me.
Entire menu photographed and attached to this review. Food was very good and we were seated in their small but comfortable dining area. There is street parking out front or a small lot in the back. 4/5 stars because of the raised prices being stickers on the menu and taped over. If you’re going to raise prices because that’s what’s happening in 2022 everywhere then redo the menu properly. Otherwise good experience. The optional 3-roll combos are nice.

Do not order the tempura udon. The "tempura" vegetables (including some sort of unpeeled squash, not zucchini) seem like they haven't even been fried, and then are soaked through. There are raw carrots, spinach, and broccoli in the soup as well. The noodles are fine though. This soup was $19 before tax btw

The hot Sake go with the Sashimi well well all fir less then $90. The server is ok cause the place was very busy and they have lots of togo

Food was very good, different types of sushi and bento box. Portions are enough to fill you up. Love the drum playing for birthday celebrants. Be prepare to pay $$ prices are on the up side. Excellent service.

This place certainly gets busy during lunch hours! I usually just come by for pick up, but I will occasionally dine-in here too. My go-to is the futomaki (vegetarian friendly)! It has shitake mushrooms, cucumber, tamago, pickled radish, and carrot. Very filling and healthy for a small lunch.

I also recommend their lunch bento specials! Pretty good prices for the portions. I like the 2 Item Bento. This is personally a good portion for me. I love the quality of their salmon here, so I like to order the salmon nigiri. I have also tried the Chicken Katsu and the Saba (Grilled Mackeral) and they're both decent, but nothing crazy. I'm not a big fan of the miso soup here though.

I really enjoyed my visit to this place. All around the food was very good. If you like fish katsu, get it. You get a lot. I prefer more variety so the bento box works for me. Definitely lots of options in this shopping center.

I tried this restaurant on my stop over at the San Jose International Airport. It was okay. I had the Donburi bowl with miso soup. The bowl was actually good but I didn't quite like the soup. I also had the Japanese Wafer desert ice cream. It was okay. It had somewhat of a coffee taste to it.

This place is very good, the quality of the food is good especially the sushi, according to my friend who studied in Japan!
I love the salmon, good texture of fish meat with very good flavor and fresh feelings, I also like the tempura, crunch outside but juicy inside!
The service is very good also, there is a cute girl she always comes to fill your tea. I accidentally knocked my tea over and she was there right away to help me, to give me tissues and towels, to tell me don't worry, she is just so cute with a smile on always!
We would love to come back again!

We have been frequently coming to this Sushi place for quite sometime now. We love it here and would sometime visit this Tokyo Sushi at minimum twice a week!
We Absolutely Enjoyed the Sushi here!
The services here are usually good, it is really Clean, pretty Cozy, very welcoming, Pleasant Atmosphere, Beautiful Setting, and most of all the Sushi is definitely Fresh and Delicious!
My favorite is the Charazi Bowl.😋
I always ordered this dish everytime I'm here. It is Absolutely delicious!
It comes with a Variety of Fresh Fish, some Salad, the Seeweed, and the Tofu Soup. Sometime We also ordered a couple of Rolls and the Hand Rolls as well. The Sushi Girl, the Super Spider Roll, Burning Love, and the soft shell Crab hand roll, are among some of our Favorites! I love them Spicy!
Eventhough it is a bit Pricy, like most good Sushi places usually are, I like the vibe here and this particular location. Right off of Lundy inside the Pacific Rim Plaza. Plenty of Parkings!
I personally would recommend this place and will Absolutely be coming back to this Tokyo Sushi! Wonderful birthday Lunch!!😍😋

Our go to place for sushi. I ordered their garlic dragon this time, and it was above average. The chicken katsu is a bit bland. Overall a good place to go for your Japanese food cravings.

Amazing Sushi! The best part about this place is the owner. He is amazing! The staff is great and they are all very friendly and attentive. We went for a party as my recommendation because I eat there all the time and my family loved it. We took my nephew and they all came out singing and banging the drums and had him do his shots. They all had such a good time. Ariake is great!

The sushi on the boat was not fresh when we arrived. The waiter was OK but left before we could give him his tip. The food (Bento box) we ordered was delicious and freshly made. Kinda bummed the hot tea was not unlimited and we had to keep asking for water refills. Overall, good experience but hope next time we visit during a busier time to ensure better service.

Pretty decent food for an airport restaurant! I had the teriyaki chicken and my fellow traveler had the tonkasu. Both were good.

My one complaint is the steamed broccoli was cold. Not a big deal but can be improved.
