Great place for outdoor apparel and gear!Shop with an open mind because you never know what you will find. And if they don’t have it in your size in the store, check online (ships free to store). And if you need help, look for Sam - he’s awesome!
I love sierra. Part of tjx group sierra sells quality outdoor gears with many well-known brands. Camping fishing hiking etc etc you will find low price with high quality.
Absolutely love this store. Great variety of clothes, gear, pet items, home items, etc! I’ve found many brand name clothing items for very cheap- yesterday I found a carhartt shirt for $12.

What a great store! Selections across so many brands, & unbelievably-priced. Helpful staff, too! Not a lot of gear, but if it’s outdoor clothing/shoes you’re after, skip the Dick’s Sporting Goods. A large selection of dog-related gear, also! Wheelchair accessible, although some clothing aisles are cramped, & some items are too high for reach without assistance.
Overall: 3.50. Large selection of outdoor products (backpacks, canoes, skiing, etc.), winter clothing & shoes for men, women & children, pet products, etc. Neatly organized by product line. Plenty of holiday-themed items by register. Disappointed in clearance items with prices barely discounted (especially shoes). Staff at Sierra are friendly & helpful in answering questions. Homesense also located in same shopping center.
This is a great store to visit if you’re looking for great prices on outdoor wear and items that’ll keep you warm, dry and toasty on cold days.

Placed an order online came to pick it up at the store but no one is here. The store seems to be closed. It states online that the store opens up at 10:00am it’s now 11:22am and the gate is still down and the store is still closed. Very inconsiderate and unprofessional. Oh they also have a sign on the gate that says back in 15 mins. It’s been longer then that. DO BETTER ZUMIEZ!
I am no skier, but Alpine has been my go-to spot for all things tennis. Strings, racquets (demos and purchases), tennis balls, everything. Really knowledgeable and chill staff who always do me right. I also like that it's a second-generation, family-run shop. (And they do a March Madness pool!)
Such a great experience at Alpine today with Tony & Danny!! Helped me get some custom grip tape to make my 3 year olds birthday present perfect! Thanks for going above and beyond to make her day!!!
Awesome selection and customer service. Was looking for some new shoes for my kid to wear this summer and immediately found 3 pairs that fit. To make it even better 2 of the pairs ended up being on sale. Will definitely be back for when he outgrows these.
I prefer to shop for everything I can online. I’m definitely spoiled by the ease and convenience of finding the best deals on the internet and having things shipped right to my door. I’m not a “mall person” at all. However, my son needed a skateboard helmet, and we needed to ensure the fit was right. I went into Zumier, and was pleasantly surprised by immediate, friendly, and helpful customer support. The team member, Ant, also could answer all the questions I had and helped us try things on for size. He definitely deserves a shout out for optimal customer service. The young man at the checkout was even very pleasant!

Wonderful place to get tennis rackets restrung! Workers were really friendly, informative, and understanding during the process of selecting the right strings at the right price for me. They have a wide range of rackets to buy from too (with some on sale)! Great place for tennis players.
Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, understanding that ski and snowboard equipment is an investment! They do everything they can to make sure you get the most out of your investment and with their knowledge and skill they will work through any issue you have with your equipment!
Excellent customer service. They spent a couple of hours helping me troubleshoot ski boots I didn't even purchase through them and they were able to resolve my issues. I will definitely be going back. They are extremely knowledgeable and are very friendly!
We are new snow sport family. We needed boots and helmets for our whole group. The store was busy! Kaleb and Ariel both were amazing in making sure we got the right equipment. They didn’t rush and spent a long time with us to make sure we were happy. Loves the store and loves the customer service.
Tony was on the money. Coming from sector 9 pintails and carving roads, I wanted something a little more aggressive but still enjoyable to ride on. Tony mentioned this Arbor longboard being the right amount of stiffness but still feel “alive,” and springy. The carving feels exactly what he meant. He also mentioned a decent upgrade on Orangutang wheels, and I’m already feeling like I should switch them out and trying them since this recommendation was on point!

What a great idea this store is, the options are many and the prices are okay. Waiting for the sale items but this new store is exciting and much needed. There is a real need of its items and our family is thrilled about Sierra 🇵🇸✌️
Awesome store just opened. Friendly stuff, good selections, clean and well organized. Finally have a Sierra store in Fairfax. Don’t forget to bring your well-behaved fluffy friend. She enjoys the treat at checkout for sure. Will come back.

Jackson explained all the options that bewilder a beginner - deck widths, concavity, wheel hardness, etc… He explained the pros/cons of the choices in our budget, and even gave a quick getting started lesson to our son.
Instead of picking potential junk online, we walked away with a perfect board, and the skills and confidence to get started….
He’s practicing Jackson’s lessons right now, and it’s working. From day one!!
If you’re a first timer, save yourself the frustration…definitely go to your local shop, not online!!
And no matter your level of experience, if you want a great selection, a great shopping experience, and knowledgeable helpful staff… definitely go to Fairfax Surf Shop!!!

We had an outstanding experience with Liam here today. I am a clueless parent who thought my daughter might like a skateboard for her 4th birthday so we drove out to this shop in Fairfax. Liam spent a long time educating us about the gear and giving my daughter little lessons. All of this was happening while my 1 1/2 year old ran all around the shop, but Liam was patient and thorough.
My daughter spent the rest of the afternoon practicing on her skateboard and loved it, because Liam made her feel comfortable and confident to try it. I never spontaneously write online reviews, but we had such a good experience that I wanted to share.

Went in to get my first skateboard. Jackson helped me from the very beginning and was the absolute best throughout the whole process. He walked me through each step and made me feel at ease. Would definitely highly recommend anyone looking to purchase their first skateboard to come here.
I came here because the place that I usually lease ski equipment for my kids from had sold out for the year. I am so glad that I found Alpine because the customer service, personalization, and expert knowledge put this place head and shoulders above the place I used to go to in Arlington, Virginia. Their ski buy back program is a great fit because they let you sell most stuff back after 2 years.
They guys Liam and Teo are really great and they make u feel like a skater and a family member instead of a customer! Much love for the shop and the quality of the work the guys put out for us as a customer! Will always come here!
Best skate shop in all of NOVA. I frequent here to buy wheels, bearings, and other skate gear. Today I finally bought one of the Aluminati boards (cruiser board made from recycled aircraft). Rode it for about an hour, and it packs a punch for a cruiser board! I recommend going here for reasonably priced skateboards or gear. The people there will always try to help you.
I went in there with my friend and i brought in my long board. It wasn't fixed properly but the guy at the back with the wheels fixed it up all nice for me (wish i got his name he was super cool) and they gave me free stickers too! Go here if you want skate gear or want a board put together theyll get you right! Thanks guys 💛

Great local shop. First time there looking for a skateboard for my son. It was a little busy but I was helped immediately and given some good advice on what type of board would meet my son’s needs. Great prices too, as the board I ended up getting was $30 cheaper than pretty much the same board we were looking at in VA Beach the week before. To make it even better they honor military and provided a little extra off. A must if you’re looking for any boards (surf or skate). Thanks guys!

The workers helped me pick out a board and gave me good recommendations that matched up with what my friends had told me. The board works great and there was a deal for pads and helmets that saved me almost $100. Great staff and selection.
Múltiple times i pulled items off the racks that were not labeled correctly. I then went to check out and the pants that i wanted, again, weren’t the price that they had been marked down to. I asked the sales person to honor the price that was on the pants and they had to call someone to ask for permission. And in the end, they offered two shirts, which is not what i wanted. I have worked in retail for years and have always had to honor these types of situations. Unfortunately, I did not go through with the purchase.I also asked for the GMs card and they couldn’t provide that either.
First off, amazing customer service! I went to the mall looking for jeans. Spent some time searching until I hit Zumiez. The employee working was so kind and willing to help. I ended up walking out with 4 pairs of pants that were buy one, get one half off and a pair of vans. I’m highly satisfied and will definitely be coming back with my family and friends!
Once again Olivia and her staff have far exceeded my expectations for customer service.
My wife and I went into the store at Fair Oaks Mall last week to buy my son a birthday gift, of course we received amazing service while at the store. I then saw a pair of shoes I wanted to purchase for my son, but they did not have his size in store. Olivia then helped me to order them online. The next day I received an email stating that the shoe was unavailable in his size. I then called the store, and Olivia searched the company site and was able to locate a pair in California, and is having them shipped to the store.
Amazing Customer Service.
