NYS Tax Department is trying to collect the taxes from me regarding unemployment benefits someone collected with my identity. I've been trying to fight it but they need be to get a corrected 1099g from the DOL. No one has answered for months and the Tax department has started taking money from my paycheck. My identity was STOLEN!

This facility has some great people in there, treat people how you want to be treated! They were very respectful and helpful, them calls to unemployment will NEVA go through but this place will help you I went around 2pm and it was smooth. So don’t stress just go in person and handle what you need too.

I could not get through on phone to resolve not receiving a payment for unemployment. I went to Brooklyn office, at 8:30 - first one in line. Was on a direct line to Albany. Brenda was very friendly and extremely helpful and solved my issue. I was out the door by 9:00 😎

The best thing about this office is the polite security guards. I went in person today. Never have I felt I could do a better job than anyone else until today. I was told this is a self-service center, look at printouts on the table to guide you. A lady in the background yelling at someone on the phone saying she doesn't do 8:00 am appts. Talk about a staff that needs customer service training even Popeyes and Mcdonalds got better customer service.

The DOL helpline was always busy, so I had to go in person to this office to use a 1990s landline, which is ludicrous.
I got processed quickly and left.
Was harassed on the way out by security because I put my bag on a empty ledge while putting on my coat! They wanted me to stop putting on my coat, which would've taken 30 seconds, take everything off the empty ledge and put it on the floor of the vestibule while I put on my coat. You're not allowed to have any dignity or access to modern technology at the DOL. It's a horrible place.

Making a great impression is key 🔑 I did have a pleasant experience with one of the associates there, but it’s funny how it takes just one interaction or experience to sour that pleasant experience.Please, if your experience is anything like mine, not the greatest consider other Options.

I’m Deaf. I came in person to get assistance on a case and they wouldn’t help me because I couldn’t hear and there was nothing they could do. Even when asked to read their lips for clarity, they wouldn’t budge or put on clear masks to provide any support. Every other review on here seems spot on.

Workforce1, a great organization that helps people find work. On Tuesday 12.19.2023, there was a Job Fair, there were representatives of more than 20 organizations, representatives of Business, you can easily find a job and employers mainly offer various job options. From Security Guards to Service Workers, Plumbers, Cooks, Waiters, and other jobs, with these jobs you can start your new life in New York, as I say start in the Most Expensive Metropolis in the World.
Offers on average start from $17 to $25/hour. I am a Digital Marketer, Project Manager, Website Development/Marketplace Digital Engineer. They couldn’t find me a job, but they offered me an individual interview with a Supervisor. I agreed, let's see what comes of it.
I'll give you feedback.

This place is one of the worst. The workers or should I say whomever is suppose to sign off on the recertification paperwork is not doing their job. Still waiting for my snap benefits that were suppose to be given on the 5th of this month. It's sad they need to be investigating them. Went to the office twice and they still haven't did their job.

The Employee @ Window #2 is intentionally calling the wrong numbers. Actually he keeps calling #3247@ least 3 times. This place is disorganized and has no leadership(management)

I have been
dealing with this center for a few years and I can say that i haven't had much of an issue a, majority of the customers services workers that I have dealt with has been ok until last Friday 9/ 22/23.
After almost 5 hours waiting patiently my # was called, the customer service worker that I dealt with was just made me felt like more of a nuisance than someone who there information about my case . 3 weeks later ,and 2 visit to the center waiting to a total of 81/2 hrs and and they still haven't fix my case so I emailed the hra office of constituent services to see if they can have them fix the issue so I will see what happens.

Probably the worst place on earth most of the workers seem like they dislike their job and all the people that enter the facility… be ready to spend your entire day there … and be prepared to make multiple trips because they are so understaffed that there is no guarantee that they will even do what you need done for your case .

Terrible, Terrible personal in this office. They have zero organization, consistently loose paper work,and talk disgustingly nasty to people that are in dire need of assistance. It's super sad. I actually came to do a volunteerly investigation, but couldn't stick around lo ger than 30 minutes. Throughout those 30mins, HRA employees were cursing and yelling at applicants. They have to many workers that don't care about the clients and they don't process cases in a timely manner I have a case pending since July 11, 23 its almost October and my case is still pending what a shame make it make sense that are horrible and they work slow they take attendance and start calling numbers of people who are not here while we sit impatiently waiting to find out the status of your case its a two to three hour wait sad

This place idk, no one knows anything. They keep you coming back and forth instead of telling you what to bring up front, it's always another piece of paperwork they need and then they deny you and one must start all over again. Someone really needs to look into these so called agencies. Look out for MYERS first and stop the nonsense!

I had Went to a a few hiring events here a number of 3-4 times and each time I go, I am more and more disappointed with the process and my experience using this company. The first time I went, I waited for almost 2 hours in a room of chaos due to how packed it was with other applicants but I was able to sit and speak with someone about a job opportunity. The 2nd time I went, it wasn’t as packed and the wait was only about 1hour and I was offered the job on the spot again. The 3rd time, it was a chaotic environment full of applicants with little to no workers around to assist and I waited for almost 4 hours just to be told that the line I was waiting in was a line that wouldn’t be able to assist me with my needs and that I would need to wait in a second line (the woman who assisted was name Yolanda) for an additional hour or so to be seen due to only 2 people being available to help assist the long line of at least 60-80 people that showed up for this hiring event. I understand that some things never go as planned all the time and that some things can be out of your control but the fact that my time was wasted on a day when I could of did other things more productive truly upsets me and I feel that workforce1 needs to fix this tedious process if they truly are in the community to help and build people up and not the other way around by tearing them down and leaving them hopeless still.

Very rude to everyone everyday no matter what time it is. I've seen the sweetest most respectful elderly woman get treated like a child they hated so much. It's disgusting how they talk to people and the way they handle cases with little to no care in the world. Please reset the whole staff and tech hospitality.

I don’t understand that none of these hra buildings answer the phone and this been going on since before the pandemic, they need to be investigated. No way they customer service haven’t been active before the pandemic, it’s a bunch of old people who work there they need to be investigated on why we wait dam near 5hrs for a 10min chat, why no buildings been picking up the phone since before the pandemic im tired of these people they never answer the phone, your worker never call u things can be done over the phone, then when u go there they make u wait on purpose to get aggressive and agitated while they have a policy if u disrespect them or rase your voice u won’t be seen. Hra is the most sneakiest business in nyc grantee if they get investigated they might have over 50 violations and that’s every building it need to change and we need help doing it. Hopefully someone important see this and try to make a change asap

the food stamps place is clearly going at a snail's pace and that is still an understatement, waited about 5 hours for something that takes roughly 10 minutes, they should revamp the waiting system and limit the calls to 3, people get very restless when the same number gets called more than 5 times, the workers there become too agitated and aggressive, I'm surprised that nothing major has happened yet, it also stinks to high hell, had to go home and wash my clothes and shower right away is how bad it was. The change in the system seems so sudden that the instructions I had was either not up to date, or the staff did not get the memo... Anyone here trying to file for snap OSD, will either be out of luck or it will take more than a month, hopefully without screw ups to fulfill your request and get your benefits back, if anything just count your losses and move on, it's just not worth it.

The most these people will do is promise to call you and get you someone to help and I swear on my life they only tell you that to rush you off the phone. EVERY SINGLE TIME. The people on the phone are not professional I can only say that about one person there is literally 1woman who will give a little resume help but that’s it. As for everyone else who ever picks up the phone here likes to argue. This person loves a back and forth and if you don’t want to be on the bad side of getting your time wasted every time like me ? Go somewhere else because they’ll talk all day but only attitude and no action.

Was referred here by a lovely HRA benefits worker, Ms. Martynets. My life is in turmoil right now, and I have no way to support myself due to a recent tragedy. However, with a kind woman's helping hand, I was able to come in contact with this place. I am extremely overwhelmed right now, and having to put out so many fires all the time really takes a toll. However, when I went to the office, I spoke to a lovely employee named Miguel Hernandez. I explained that I am in search of a way to support myself and would love to help others. He was so kind, helpful, and understanding. A little kindness goes so far when you're down and feeling like the world turned on you. His job was to give information. He did more than that, he was kind. I hope he understands how much a friendly person at a dark time can make a difference. Looking forward to going to my job orientation, and again am extremely grateful to have had such a welcoming experience.

If I could give negative stars, I would! The employees at this location are the absolute worst! They take the phones off of the hook and hang it out of their window. They are extremely rude, disrespectful and dismissive ti every single person. Forget trying to explain what you’re their for because they all cut you off, speak over you and brush you away from their window. People are in need of great assistance and are forced to be treated like trash. The other reviews on here about how nice the employees are is a fluff (it’s fake)! You can go in and be extremely happy, nice, polite and they will nicely brush you off/ dismiss you and you will have to make multiple trips back for the same issue. Their favorite thing to tell everyone is “I sent an e-mail upstairs, so you just have ti wait for someone to review it.” No one sends anything and no one reviews anything. Which is why many people are here yelling at them. While individuals and families are starving, the employees are sitting back collection a check and not doing their jobs to assist those that come into the center! More people need to report them, for immediate change!

I have repeatedly asked this center to either transfer or close my case because I moved from Brooklyn to Staten Island 4 months ago and they still haven’t made any change even as I am writing this review. The level of incompetence and unprofessionalism this center has shown is unreal. If I could give them -5 stars I would.

I understand that a lot of the recruiters there as well as the staff which are trying to be as helpful as they can, but from time to time, it can get really slow and nothing would move for about a couple hours. When the afternoon comes, then there is no waiting for anyting. But, you do get your resumes done here and file for a bunch of resources and be out within an hour. It is better if you have a laptop and have access to Google Drive, then come here to use a printer to print out your paperwork.
