What have you got to do to get an appointment? I got down there at five to eight this morning, six people in front of me, 20 minutes later told there are no appointments available. You can't book in advance, you can never get through on the phone, what do you do?
I would give 0 stars for this GP surgery! I was called them every single day for the last 3 days to book an appointment ,because we lost our baby and I need to do some blood tests ,they said: Unfortunatelywe don't have availability so call us tomorrow at 8am ,today I called again and wait 56 minutes to wait on the queue and to hear that they are in strike and unfortunately don't have availability, they advised me to call tomorrow. IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A GP AND MET WITH HIM DON'T REGISTRE HERE!

One the receptions that takes the appointments is just so rude and had my daughter in tears a few times. this woman is just vile and has no business working with the public especially when vulnerable.

so many complaints from others too and all the surgery says it that shes worked there for a long time? that is no excuse for her behavior. My daughter was again in tears this morning after being ridiculed by her on the phone when trying to make an appointment. its just not on.
Totaly dissapointed. Two weeks can not book an appointment for GP.Operator advises to call 111 or go to hospital when actualy is not a case because there are people who are in worse state need emergecy service.Staff is rude an incompetent spicialy other the phone.Do not listen the patien and speak as robots from the script. The clinic definetly needs improvmet and staff training.

I am note surprise. It's not the first time I have to insist for them to check they are system for the prescription. This time they received from diabetic center a request for diabetic tests last week and didn't place the request for the pharmacy. I when to the GP and they pass internally as urgent, asked to call back in the end of the day. I did, they informed nothing had been done and cannot guarantee it will be done tomorrow. I am tired to waist my time. If you are looking for a efficient GP, run from this one.
Discussing surgery, nasty patronising and bullying male Dr's that have no empathy, compassion or bedside manner. FAILED MASSIVELY, resulting in death of a loved one.
After a rather stressful few weeks trying to get some NHS vaccinations this Surgery went above and beyond to resolve my issues despite significant resourcing issues. Corrine was especially helpful and really did go the extra mile. Very satisfied NHS patient 😊

We have been lucky enough to move to Parklands which is our relatives surgery and have received fantastic support and service.

Thank you to all the team, especially the Practice Manager, Mandy, who is exceptional.
Absolute nightmare to deal with. Trying to get repeated prescription for my son - every time an issue - either wrong dose, or they can't even find past prescription in their records. Total mess, misinformation, empty promisses. Terrieble customer service. Only for strong, healthy people with plenty of free time to waste. If you are ill or you respect your time, avoid at all cost.

Called at 8:03 about son’s poorly eye. Seen nurse practitioner at 9, earlier than expected. Prescription written, diagnosis explained, knowlegeable lady as I did my research prior, everything made complete sense. Improved with antibiotic ointment within 24 hours. Completely how things should be. Thank you!

Difficult to get through by phone as they don’t have a queue system set up, instead you have to ring multiple times and pray they’re not engaged, seems like a poor decision considering how many people call at once. When you do finally get through your options for gps are limited as half of them are rude and you’re made to feel like you should’ve just stayed home and suffered, been visiting this practice for too long and have nothing but bad memories. It is very rare you get a good experience here.

My late husband lived with heart /lung disease 6yrs after being diagnosed.

. We relocated to this area three years ago . Going from being seen monthly by our previous doctors to nothing was disappointing to say the least.

Another chest infection is it .

See the nurse for antibiotics.

This happened last year 4 times and no one questioned it .

By October he went face to face to a receptionist asked to see a doctor.

Not a nurse . He finally got to see one .

And the question after explaining his symptoms what you like us to do “. !

Well a chest x ray would be good . I’ve asbestos on my lungs I’m getting worse I can’t breath I’m tired what would you say is wrong .

Ok a chest X-ray blood tests and wait for results .when it came back it was wait 6 weeks to repeat it see the difference .

In the mean time take these tablets .

He didn’t wait 6 weeks he was too unwell .

after going to same day emergency care at Kettering some three weeks later After taking. Meds advised by senior partner at the surgery for a cough that was day and night an d it didn’t work he was seen by a trainee doctor .

Who said he had fluid on his right lung

Sent him home with more antibiotics .

Asked to come back 4 days later .. another x ray and a respiratory trainee sent him home with a inhaler . !!

We have to wait 6 weeks to compare . We didn’t get to 6 weeks .

Back we went for another X-ray and Ct scan then fluid from his lungs then biopsy . Because he couldn’t breath and had lost8 kilos in weight by then .

Diagnosed with lung cancer on December 6th given two years to live .

He lived 35 days

I nursed him myself .

No help came from parklands .they didn’t know how bad he was . That’s their excuse .

Then when he died his death was certified by out of hours with “ your own doctors will be out tomorrow to verify him .
We waited and waited and waited .

It took from when they opened at 8 am to 3 in the Afternoon and three phone calls to send a nurse to do their dam job of telling me my husband was definitely dead …. Yes I know . He has Been here all night in my bed . Waiting on you .

I went to see Becky the Nurse Practitioner earlier this year. I had gone in concerned I could be wasting the staff valuable time -
A totally knowledgeable, empathetic and professional Nurse who was all that you’d want in a NP. Thank you and Congratulations the surgery are lucky to have you, Maggie
Unfortunately you cannot give half a star but to be honest the place isn't even worth half a star. Unless you are able bodied it is impossible to get an appointment with them You have to queue up outside And if you are not fit enough to get down there you cannot get an appointment. So they are actually discriminating against the infirm. I have been trying to get to see a doctor for about 6 months now and still haven't managed. And how they got a good rating is beyond me.
Excellent doctors surgery. Always had a positive experience with the clinicians here and when we've really needed to see someone we've always been given a same day appointment without too much trouble.
Incredible hard to get an appointment. No option of online booking or econsult (which works absolutely fine elsewhere). You will have to call at 8am and stay on the line for at least 40 min and if you are lucky enough you get throuh (staff tend to hang up when the call volum is high) you will be 'triaged' by non clinical staff without any consultation from a clinical member who will decide if you will get an appointment or not. No option of appointments other than on the day, which works fine for patients who are not required to take time of work and unfortunately not everyone is unable to take a 40 min phone call at 8am. It's a rather stressful process that doesn't help patient already under stress due to any health related issues. I would say that the surgery is not fat from patient neglect and is only adding more stress to anyone who is only after an appointment for reassurance.
I called at 0800 when opened to get an appointment to see a Doc but after 5 mins of the call being cancelled I finally got onto the hold queue. 2.5 hours later i am still at No. 4 in the queue. After 3 hours on the phone i finally get through to a lady who advises me there are no more appointments and will have to try again tomorrow. I am unable to book in a future appointment. Do they not understand everyone works and are unable to be on the phone for 3 hours every morning?

What am i supposed to do? Call 111? Thats the same problem, i called these and was informed i would get a call back later that day. Did a call come? I think you can answer that.

Higham Ferrers Surgery are just like every other NHS surgery, on its knees. NHS reform.
I need a document that only my GP can complete for me and the charge is £49 as it isn’t NHS work.

I dropped the document in but at the time no one knew the fee amount but took the document from me to be completed and signed by the GP and advised they would call in 48hrs to update me on time scale and fee. No call received. I left it 2 weeks and went in on a day I had booked off as they are not open at all on weekends and I work from7am-6pm mid week.

Reception did apologies that I hadn’t heard anything and said she would chase. I received a call another 2 weeks later saying the fee was £49 and the document was now ready to collect….cash only?????

Today as this was the only time I could go after taking a day off again and 12 days after the call I received saying it was ready I went to collect….shock, it isn’t ready and I left standing around while someone figures out why. Bless the poor nurse who is sent out to apologise again and then tells me it can take 6 weeks, no one ever said this and regardless you rang me and said it was ready?????

I ask to complain, no one can see me though. Can’t give me 5 mins but can waste 3 days of mine for a paid for service.I suggest wave the fee as I’m not reviving any level of service at all at this stage and it’s my personal data which I am entitled to. The funny thing is no one as even asked me for ID to check the info release is going to the right person. It hasn’t even been mention and this so personal sensitive data.

I also agreed with other reviewers about getting an appointment, my wife and daughter both changed surgery 2 years ago because of their service, I use to just assume as you read and hear everywhere that they are stretched but my patients on that line is worn out. Never felt compelled to complain as I as really I’ll to that degree.

I have now gone online to complain directly as advised by them and the document to raise a complaint has been removed.

Going to have to now go back and ask how I can affectively raise a complaint.

Truly shocking.
