Extremely rude lady on reception. I'm new to the area and the service I received was appalling.

It's the first time I've seen such a system that after 250 simultaneous calls for 3 days, no one is able to pick up the phone at the reception.

Rang on a Monday morning just after 8 for an appointment. Time waiting on the phone was minimal. Phone was answered by a very pleasant care navigator who was very professional in her role. I was offered a telephone consultation or a face to face appointment for a weeks time as it was non urgent which I accepted. Later in the day I had the need to actually visit the surgery and was greeted by a young male care navigator who was very well presented in his appearance. Once again the social skills of the care navigator were excellent. He sought advice from a senior member of staff, and when he returned with the answer he apologised for keeping me waiting.
The Nursing Assistant who I also had dealings with was again excellent in her care. A real asset to the surgery.
The surgery is also very clean and tidy, so thanks to the housekeeping staff too.
Some review posted state the lack of appointments available, but please consider how many appointments are wasted by not turning up. These could have very easily have been filled.
Also now with Pharmacies being able to assess a patient more thoroughly for minor ailments this will be the first port of call, again freeing up valuable Doctor and Nurse Practitioners appointments.
The Surgery deserves a five star rating, and a better practice would be hard to find. A pat on the back all round.

Although you need the patience of a Saint whilst waiting for someone to answer the phone, when you do eventually get through, the service is splendid & super helpful! Notably this morning, spoke with Lisa, a Receptionist. Extremely polite & efficiently sorted 3 issues concurrently for me. She'd get a pay rise if she was working for my firm. Indeed, everyone I've encountered at this fine Practice have been superlative.

My elderly father is registered with Parkside. I live over two hours drive away and work. This morning I made over 250 calls in 40 minutes to get him seen. Shocking that I can't get through but how on earth are elderly patients able to access appointments. This surgery needs to give serious consideration to the poor service they are providing their elderly patients and put in place a new policy to provide this cohort proper care.

A-typical experience. Whilst waiting in an almost empty waiting room, I witnessed two patients asking for appointments as they couldn't get through via the phone and offerer no assistance, then stormed out of sheer frustration. What is happening here? My appointment was of course, a complete waste of time.

I have such a wonderful experience considering you only go there when you have health issues.
The receptionists are not lazy they are very busy and extremely friendly and helpful. Some people should learn to be more patient.
In regard to having too many patients,this is not the practices fault but the governments, as they are not allowed to say no to taking people on at the surgery, therefore the doctors nurses and other members of staff are very overworked so instead of negative comments try looking at the bigger picture after we are all only humans.
Instead of negativity go take it up with you local MP the government are the ones to blame not the hard workers

I can't explain how disappointed I am. I booked appointment by phone, I go in the clinic to hear that I don't have any booked appointment at all ! The administrator behaved rudely and arrogantly as if I owed her something! I don't remember her name, old and with shoulder-length blond hair. Please, try to be more humane and kind! It's absolutely joke, I will definitely change the surgery, can't deal with this kind of behaviour.

This morning my daughter had a appointment at 7.30 as last week she called to the surgery and they book her ! She go and then come back home so upset and disappointed because the woman on the reception is being not nice to her, sarcastic and arrogant. She said that there is no appointment booked for her and when my daughter ask to book another one she refused and said that she need call on phone!Please turn attention to your staff! U can't work even as simply receptionist in medical centre and act so disrespectful,! We want to complain from this lady. My daughter is diagnosed with epilepsy, she is anxious and going into depression. It's awful! Also it's not first time for this practice. DON'T GO THERE IF U WONT FEEL LIKE U ARE NOT EVEN HUMAN! Definitely whole family will change to another practice! If I can give 0 stars I would!

We have been at the surgery for the last 2 years and in that time we have had nothing but support from all staff nothing was to much and we were always treated with friendliness .

Not surprised at the reviews for parkside. 1) the receptionists are so rude and unprofessional, not willing to help and have no compassion. Got hung up on even though the receptionist was raisng her voice and being sarcastic, disgusting as I never raised my voice to her once.
2) even calling at 8am will not get you a same day appointment, can be ringing until 10am and still be on hold.
3) got told I had a prescription waiting at Asda later to be told no I don't.
4) all locum doctors , no one has a clue.

Reception staff are slow and lazy. Nurses and doctors have to many patients, needs more staff on levels.

I really dislike having to go to the Doctors. It frustrates me that I can't get appointments for another day which make it hard to see a Doctor when you also have to work. On this occasion however the receptionist on the phone was very helpful and trying to help me get an appointment, I'd have probably given up if she wasn't as kind as she was. The Doctor was also very caring and supportive.

Had nothing but bad experiences with them, just want to mention that Dr Sandra Smith is extremely unprofessional and rude individual who will discriminate you and will make you feel bad if you have a disability.

Following an initially unhelpful response from your surgery, I called again and spoke to Emma who was so caring. I didnt feel rushed as I explained my situation to her. She listened patiently, and gave me the time to express all that I needed too. She showed great compassion and empathy throughout the conversation, and assured me that she would go to a different doctor and put my request across again. She then called me back, as promised, and assured me the situation had been sorted out.
You have an incredible member of staff working with you, who lifted so much stress off my shoulders and who provided a first class level of patient care. She was everything that people hope for when dealing with the NHS. I am extremely grateful to her, and hope that you can pass this message on, as well as commending her for providing a wonderful service. I am deeply grateful to her.

Call over 100 times on repeat from 8am till 8:51am till i get answered, always busy line. When answered receptionist said no more appointments taken for Today. Call next day from 8am.

Used to be such a good doctors, but they’ve gone so downhill recently. Gave me nasal spray for my mouth which has caused me so much more unnecessary pain.. & don’t seem to care about their patients. The doctors seem to be so rude now aswell, they’re always in a rush to get you out. Will be looking into another surgery.

I really love this surgery all the Drs and nurses in my opinion are excellent, very empathetic and always do their best to help.
I have been treated very well and never feel like I am wasting anyone's time

Outstanding service. Contacted via E-consult, within 5 mins an email was received to book appt. Called, waited for 8 mins to get through (that is considered no time at all) at 9am. Lovely member of reception team arranged for GP to call back. GP Called back within half an hour and had a prescription sent straight to the chemist. The best service I have ever received from a gp practice.

Systems seem to be chaotic, although care might be fine if you can actually see somebody. Just rang to make a non urgent appointment. Response was that they only take appointment calls at 8am. So I have to join the scrum at 8, amongst those who want more urgent attention and are also trying to get through, to make an appointment that could have waited a couple of weeks. No wonder patients get frustrated.

I phoned at 8am and was at the surgery with the Dr, who was just so reassuring, 2 hours later. The Reception staff were very helpful and efficient whilst I was making my appointment on the phone, and very cheerful in person. Physio appointment for following week made then and there. Many thanks to all, from a new and very pleased patient.

I've been a client for 6 years and have been really pleased with the staff and doctors who have kept me in great shape. I well am over 60, have a couple of underlying conditions and you wouldn't even know it thanks to their diagnosis and treatment. Thanks guys - I owe you!

Having been with these doctors since 2004, I find they are impossible to deal with. My medication is supposed to be delivered, yet when I started asking why I had not received them, I was attacked and accused of being abusive, this was followed by a plethora of lies and excuses to complex to follow and impossible to believe. . Originally The staff publicly embarrassed me when I went to collect them, so I nominated a pharmacy for delivery to me. They repeatedly do not send my prescriptions on. make life as difficult as possible, meaning I am never stable on my meds and in constant pain. I believe the doctors are fine, but the staff telling the doctor I am being abusive is the last straw. The question was simply where are my meds? When did you post the prescription, and what is the tracking number? To this day they are incapable of answering that simple question. For that reason I would NOT recommend them. The staff are rude, bullies, liars and if you dare to ask a question or try tos tand up to them they run behind the doctors skirts and he in turn defends them. This is NOT how a surgery should run. We should be able to ask questions. we should be confident our prescriptions will be given to our nominated pharmacy, we should not have to worry.

I had a wheezing 4 year old grandson, was needing a doctor to see him as as an emergency non registered patient and my 4 year old grandson was turned away and I was told the Drs are not seeing face to face patients!! Well how the hell are the Drs at this practice supposed to listen to a 4 year olds wheezing chest, over the phone!! Absolutely disgusting.. I was told to take him to Kings Lynn A&E! I am beyond angry… Everything that’s wrong with the NHS can be found right there, in that surgery!

I am finding that after the pandemic and now lack of Drs at the surgery, some of the receptionists act like they are medically trained and one in particular comes across as though she owns the place, i find her particulalry inept, rude and does not listen.
It is such a shame that people have left or retired as it used to be a fabulous surgery.
My complaint is only with a few of the receptionists as all of the other staff are are fantastic.

Had an appointment confirmation text come through weeks ago for 21st April, knowing I’d not booked this myself, I called the surgery to query it and was told it must have been a mistake on the system, fast forward to today and I get a very abrupt phone call from the practice nurse, scolding me for not turning up to my daughters immunisation appointment, admittedly my response was rather sharp as I do not appreciate being spoken to in such a manner, nor do I appreciate being made to feel like a bad mother for failing to turn up to an immunisation appointment I didn’t even know I had! I’ve had 4 children and I’m fully aware these appointments are important, so do not need to be patronised and made to feel like a silly little girl. Will be going elsewhere moving forward.

Very friendly helpful reception staff. Doctors and nurses are also really friendly, caring and offer amazing help and support. Overall the best GP practice I've ever been to.

Good medical Centre, bit difficult to get hold of someone on reception at the morning (by phone) but apart that everything else is OK, friendly staff, good doctors, nice and clean facilities.

I had persuaded my mum to move to this practice as she lives in kirton. What a wonderful decision. Staff all incredibly helpful. And the Practice Manager Andy...five star rating, spoke to him on two occasions and both times my dilemas on mums behalf sorted. Well done to all. Keep up the good work.
