La Fontaine du Gros-Caillou is a historic fountain located in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, France. It is situated in the square of the same name, Place du Gros-Caillou.

The fountain dates back to the 18th century and is named after the "gros caillou" or "big rock" that used to be located nearby. It was originally built to provide drinking water to the local residents and has since become a charming landmark in the neighborhood.

The design of the fountain is simple yet elegant. It features a circular basin with a central column topped by a decorative urn. Water flows from the urn into the basin, creating a soothing sound and adding to the overall ambiance of the square.

The Fontaine du Gros-Caillou has undergone several restorations over the years to preserve its historical significance. It continues to serve as a gathering place for locals and a spot for tourists to relax and take in the surroundings.

The square surrounding the fountain is also a popular meeting point and offers a pleasant area to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. It is surrounded by cafes, shops, and residential buildings, adding to its charm and liveliness.

Visitors to the Fontaine du Gros-Caillou can appreciate its architectural beauty, as well as its historical importance as a source of water in the past. It provides a glimpse into the rich history and culture of Paris and is a delightful spot to visit while exploring the city.

Fontaine des Mers is a magnificent fountain located in the Place de la Concorde, the largest and most historic square in Paris. It was built in 1840 as a tribute to the maritime and commercial achievements of France, as well as its industrial prowess. The fountain is adorned with sculptures of mythical and allegorical figures, such as Neptune, Amphitrite, Nereids, Tritons, and dolphins. The water flows from the top and cascades down the tiers, creating a soothing and refreshing sound.

I visited Fontaine des Mers on a sunny day in spring, and I was captivated by its beauty and elegance. The fountain sparkled under the sunlight, reflecting the blue sky and the green trees. The sculptures seemed to come alive with the movement of the water, as if they were celebrating the glory of France. I felt a sense of awe and admiration for the artistic and engineering skills that went into creating this masterpiece.

Fontaine des Mers is more than just a fountain. It is a symbol of the French spirit, of its ambition, creativity, and resilience. It is a reminder of the rich history and culture that shaped this nation, and of the achievements and challenges that it faced. It is also a source of joy and inspiration for the people who visit it, who can admire its beauty and enjoy its refreshing spray. Fontaine des Mers is a treasure of Paris, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the charm and splendor of this city.

The Fontaines de la Concorde are two monumental fountains located in the Place de la Concorde in the center of Paris. They were designed by Jacques Ignace Hittorff, and completed in 1840 during the reign of King Louis-Philippe.

Nice fountain in the middle of Paris but it did not operate.
Nice I first learned about the Eiffel Tower in my books as a child. Then I thought that if I get a chance in my life I will go there 1 time. That opportunity has not yet come. I hope to go there in the future when I can earn a lot of money. I wish if i could see it from very closely. It would be great for me. I will wait for this day when i could see this special thing from closely.

Great view of the whole Eiffel Tower where you can just sit and relax. Bring a water bottle to fill at the water fountains.

Attention, il n'y a pas d'eau.
Really disappointing that all the fountains were turned off and empty. They had at least kept up the watering so the little flower patches were nice, but a number of them were behind tall fencing so that kind of ruins the ambience of the park. Only reason this gets 3 stars rather than 2 stars is that you can't beat the views of the Eiffel Tower.
Beautiful gardens from the Louvre to Eiffel Tower. Lots of seats and snack places. There’s even some ponds that kids can rent an remote controlled boat. This is a lovely walk with beautiful views of Paris. Would highly recommend doing this.

Enchanting little park. Nice place to sit and plan your next adventure.
At the end of March it’s supposed to be Spring season beginning, but it looks like the flowers and the leaves are yet not at peak. I would recommend to visit the place in April mid or end of the month. Nice and pleasant to stay in with a company having a clear view of the Eiffel tower.

A very beautiful fountain full of details, it is framed in the surrounding architectural style.
Perfect place to relax and enjoy viewing the Eiffel tower. Bring a picnic and blanket to sit on and relax in the park. Playground located nearby and some garden areas to stroll around in the area as well. There was live music the evening we were there and the festive atmosphere was delightful.

Nice view of the Eiffel Tower but filthy park. Grass is full of broken glass, garbage, bottle caps and cigarette buds. 🤢
Beautiful view.
Waiting for fireworks on eve of national day 🥳

Beautiful park. The statue is way bigger than the usual size you see in Paris. Hidden gem.

Lots of shouting kids so not the most peaceful park, but that's expected since there is a slide and games. Small but beautiful area with lots of benches around a fountain and lots of shade.

Nice small park with a beautiful fountain
