My mother went there mentally normal. When she left she was hardly able to talk. I had her at assisted living after. It wasn’t till 3 weeks later that I had my mom sent to the hospital to find out what’s going on. She had a severe UTI. she been on antibiotics for 2 days now. She’s back to her normal self. She don’t remember any of the past 30 plus days. It started out at the gardens. They geve her 3 diff anxiety/ depression and even a psychotic drug but didn’t realize it wasn’t helping her. had my reserve about this place already. Sorry but I would look elsewhere

Having my mom at a rehab was a very emotional experience after hearing so many horror stories. You can imagine the relief I felt knowing my she was well taken care of here. Honestly, she didn't love the food, but the Gardens at Monroe still gets 5 stars because knowing my mom is receives the proper care is all that matters.

Very impressed with the staff and care that was given to my 92 year old father. He broke his hip and femur and after a week in the hospital he was placed in their acute rehab. It was apparent that the nurses. Physical therapists and aides really love what they do and my father kept improving each week. The social work staff and house doctor kept the family abreast of his progress and explained the discharge process. To add the icing to the cake my father liked the food and luckily put on a couple pounds in his 4 weeks there. This facility does not have all the aesthetics that some other rehabs have but the care is the most important part.

I recently went to visit an Aunt of mine who is a resident. She alwaya speaks about the facility only in the best terms concerning all the staff and her treatment and excellent care at the center. She always describes how delicious, plentiful, and attractive presentation of the meals. During my visit I found the staff to all be friendly smiling willing to stop and chat as my Aunt introduced us to everyone we met in the lobby, lounge and on the way to her room.
I found the building and grounds to be well maintained, attractive, clean with open areas that are bright, comfortable and welcoming. My Aunt showed us around proudly as if it was her own home the dining area, the lobby with her favorite fireplace, and the beautiful gardens remarking how lovely it is especially when in full bloom in Spring and summer.
I thank all the staff for their special caring manner and dedication to all the people who are residing at The Gardens at Monroe whether temporarily or permanently to keep all the residents safe, healthy and very happy.
Wishing all a very happy healthy New Year! Keep up the great work!!!

My brother-in-law has been at The Gardens at Monroe Healthcare & Rehabilitation...first in the Rehab wing......now in the Nursing Home wing.
The care has been OUTSTANDING. The CNA, aides, Physical Therapists, maintenance staff, etc. have gone ABOVE & BEYOND. The Administrator, Chuck, has assisted us in EVERY WAY.
From the time one enters the building, the receptionist, Faith, extends herself with warmth & assistance.. The staff has always been approachable & friendly.
I would recommend The Gardens of Monroe without hesitation.

Where do I start..Pam and Cindy in admissions are both incredibly professional, caring and dedicated to the well being of residents in every aspect of care. They made the process awesome. Linda mom's aide, I want to express my gratitude for the way you care for mom. JuJu
and the nursing staff has exceeded my expectations and I thank you all for your outstanding service and care. Wally has won over mom's heart and treats her with respect and kindness. Lo from the dining area, makes special trips to say hello and make mom smile each day. The facility's cleanliness and organization is impressive and the entire staff's compassion and empathy makes this a truly special place.

I went here to visit my Great Aunt last week. I visit many nursing homes from my job and you can tell by the residents demeanor how they are cared for. Everyone I met seemed to be happy, clean, and well cared for. The facility was neat and clean as well. Need to do a little better answering her call bell though. She is able to recognize that people turn their heads away when walking by the room when her call bell is on. Otherwise would have given 5 stars. Thank you

After getting opinions of the horror of care facilities, I was pleasantly surprised after my husband’s 10 day stay for respite. He has PPMS. His mind is good, but his disabilities include inability to walk or stand/only use of his right arm and hand. Although short staffed, as are most places, he was treated with kindness, attention. He loved the staff, said the food was good and received good care. They spent time with us and made sure his admission and discharge went smoothly. I will definitely consider sending him again for another respite period.

Came to visit my uncle . His roommate passed away 5 days ago. When we came to visit today they still had the pillows laying out covered in blood and other bodily fluids. Absolutely disgusted! And when I said something they get an attitude. The place looks great ay 1st but the more you look the more you see. The rooms are FILTHY. The tables never get wiped down. The food trays are disgusting in the rooms. The sad part is I don't want to bring my kids in there anymore due to this. They may have 4.2 stars on here but check out genesis reviews. Scum hole

We visited a few different places before making the decision to move my mother to Parker at Monroe. It was the right thing to do. Since moving mom I have been able to sleep at night knowing that she is being so well taken care of. I can't say enough wonderful things about everyone on the staff - from the nurses, to the amazing recreation people, to the chef and other caregivers. Caring is what they are and it shows.

I attended a milestone (100 th) birthday for a dear family friend today. I found staff to be attentive and friendly, engaging and watchful.

Greeting from reception is always warm and very friendly. They always are willing to help new visitors and greet those frequent visitors by name. Working staff, aides and nurses on floor are friendly and certainly always kept busy. I have noted that no matter what the resident is requesting they always find the time to accommodate them.

My husband is receiving wonderful care at The Gardens of Monroe. The entire staff is so pleasant and you can tell they really care about their patients. They keep me informed which is very important to our family. The kitchen staff accommodated your likes and dislikes and the quality of the food is delicious and excellent

My dad is in a very long recovery process after illness in ‘22. We have been to several different facilities along the way, I now have a comparison to a facility another family member is in, and without a doubt I can say that Cranbury Center has the largest group of caring people that chose their job for the right reason. My dads main purpose for being in a sub acute facility was rehabilitation. The REHABILITATION TEAM is amazing, Ron and Mike were the primary therapists that made the success happen. The entire team worked together with new ideas for every session to get my dad up and moving, speech got him off a peg tube and back to eating and drinking with no restrictions. My dad showed up with a tracheostomy, stage 4 wound, peg tube, not even able to move his arms at all; he left WALKING with a walker, no oxygen, no dietary restrictions. Yvette was very thorough in ensuring my dads wound was being treated properly and helped my mom and I get trained on how to care for it at home. The nursing staff from administrative level to the aids were all very caring and had an important role in motivating my dad, taking very good care of him. I witnessed plenty of communication among the entire TEAM to keep everyone informed of the patients current status and needs. I witnessed amazing team work, all departments have to work together to coordinate care and therapy, they help each other and make it happen. I’ve witnessed administration helping as aids and delivering meals. I’ve witnessed staff caring for patients with no family making them feel loved and cared for, spending time with them, painting their nails, braiding their hair. The team jumps in to assist in whatever is needed.
In the last several years, health care is a very stressful environment to work in and is always suffering staffing crisis, but the amazing team at Cranbury continues to give it their all when they start their shift to care for the patients and residents. My dad was there for 6 months, many people there became “our family”.
They guided us along the way, trained us thoroughly to be ready for discharge and to be able to care for him at home and to keep his rehabilitation progressing. We have a goal of walking back in for a visit, with a cane, by March! We are eternally grateful to all our special angels at Cranbury.

I would not recommend this facility to anyone! Where do I begin?? To start, it never appeared that my loved one was bathed on a daily basis. Her hands were dirty and when I washed her face and hands she was very grateful. I had to repeatedly ask for her to be turned and positioned, which did not happen as I had wanted. She needed to be fed, and even when I told them repeatedly, I walked into the room with her leaning to the left, meat all over her, and she was holding a hamburger roll. The worst part was when my sister and I were called telling us our loved one had been declining over the last several hours. I got out of bed and my sister started driving from NY. When I got there they told me they had the wrong family!!!! ARE THEY KIDDING ME???? That was unacceptable!! They were very apologetic but that does not erase the emotional distress suffered by my sister and me. I mentioned it to the director of the floor, who was apologetic. I never spoke to the Director of Nursing. It was time to get her transferred out to somewhere she had been prior and we were more comfortable!!

Before considering this facility, please look up their 14 recent health violations and infection related deficiency which violates federal standards for protecting residents. I came to visit my loved one and found them isolated and in a crisis. The incompetent D.O.N. refused to call for immediate help, instead she told me to wait until their doctor come in 2 days. I called the ambulance, where they were transported and admitted into ICU. Had I not visited my family member that day, they would not be alive today due to the facility’s negligence. How could staff not realize when a resident is in shock and declining health?! I wrote a formal complaint to Genesis and no one ever got back to me. My loved one would complain about not being showered for weeks and I’d bring it up to the staff, who would lie. All the staff are temps and the turnover rate is very high, so no one is familiar with the patients. They covered up every incident just like they’re covering up the true Google ratings with fake 5 star reviews. I would never recommend anyone trust this center’s care.

The leadership and staff at Cranberry Center has been awesome. John Pilek, his staff and nurses make themselves easily available. From the telephone operators to the receptionists to the nurses, they are friendly, pleasant and willing to go that “extra mile.”Their attention and sensitivity to the residents and the residents family members is wonderful. They address the residents needs in a thoughtful and timely manner. The nurses and aides go out of their way to make the residents as comfortable as possible and keep the family aware of any changes or issues. They show kindness and personal attention to the residents and to the families. I really appreciate being kept informed of what is going on with my loved one in addition to what is going on at the Center. The weekly updates and communications regarding any special or unusual events is always welcomed. I feel confident and secure in knowing my loved one is being well taken care of and cared for in a very personal manner.

Mom was there for three years which were during covid. they made her transfer out to a behavioral facility where about One week she passed. I was disappointed she could not spend her end of life at parker. I got no condolences from anyone at parker except Taylor. unfortunately It's a business. I felt let down.while she was there she was on tons of different antipsychotic drugs which I didn't approve of. They added to her confusion and probably helped kill her. A terrible place. Stay away from Nursing homes at all costs. no one should have to go through this. I was told she had to go on them or leave. I had very little choices. you're told what will be done. Keep your loved ones home as long as possible.

My mom is 97 and has been at Parker for 1year and our family feels its a top notch facility. I am a retired Social Worker that worked in aging residences for many years snd I have to say that Parker does s wonderful job at caring for my mom and keeping her active. Thank you💕to their devoted staff.

Parker at Monroe has been truly a blessing for my mom! The staff is beyond wonderful and caring- I know my mom is very happy and well taken care of. I recommend Parker highly!

My Brother and I were looking for a facility with full nursing and Memory care for our Father.
From my first contact with staff, I was extremely confident that this facility was going to be our first choice. The process was made very easy .
Our Dad is now a resident and we couldn't be more satisfied .The facility staff have been so attentive to our Dad's on going needs.
And we are confident he is getting the best of care.

My experience is of 2 kinds—witnessed and contrasted. Years ago, my great Uncle, Judge Klemmer Kalteissen spent his final years happily on Landing Lane. I witnessed the dignity and respect with which he was treated, and the personalization with which he was regarded. Years later, his wife, my Aunt Mildred Kalteissen spent her final years across the river where I noticed there was no diminution of dignity when she became less able to think clearly. Fast forward to the next generation, and my father—who sadly in his old age lacked the charm and kindness of his earlier years, but he worshipped his Uncle Klemmer (Dad was once his law clerk!) he only wanted to get back to eLanding Lane. Dad had problems he could keep hidden during his professional years, but eluded him later. I’m embarrassed that his anger and resentment sometimes lashed out against the most competent, compassionate, and skilled nurses I’ve known. Still they continued to speak to him as an adult with a god-given right to compassionate care. Now my generation...the failure. I’m embarrassed so that I lived like an aging flower child, “professional volunteer” until I became a teaching professor at Rutgers. Now I find myself in a Nursing Home (NOT PARKER!) where I see what’s left when you take the goodness, compassion, competence, the HEART and the SCIENCE Parker perfected. It’s all the difference I the world. If you can swing it, do it.

Very friendly staff. I love the detail and quality of care.

What a wonderful Nursing Home! If you must place a loved one somewhere for special care and handling, this is the place. Yesterday, we spent a wonderful Fathers Day visiting a patient. His wife catered a small party for just the family and the chef and his staff did a marvelous job. It is the same food that the patients eat daily and it was delicious. The Home is clean; well run by a caring compassionate staff. Thank you Parker Nursing Home!
