First time here. Came in for the scallops recommended by a neighbor. Was not disappointed. Sat at the bar, mixologist called “D” was fabulous!! He answered my questions, recommended things when I told him what I was looking for and made the evening delightful for me. I was alone, which can be an apprehensive situation, but “D” made me feel welcome and even introduced me to staff and other patrons as well. I will definitely return for the delicious food and the remarkable wait staff, especially “D”.! Thank you for a great experience!!
Bestest!!!! I have no words to tell how good this place is. The food, the service, vibe everything is beyond amazing. Hands down the best lamb chops & mashed potatoes I have ever had. Our server Mitchell was just incredible and he made the night even more special and memorable for me and my husband. We will be coming back soon. Thank you!!!!

We had a wonderful dinner at Late Harvest Kitchen. Our server was professional and helped us celebrating my new job be extra special. The food was beyond words and belief. I loved how the server discussed the chef often, discussed his intentions and made you feel like you were in partner with the chef to perfect your meal! You actually are a partner in many ways. You must try the potatoes, deviled eggs and scallops. Perfect meal! The dessert was amazing too! We had the chocolate moose. Fancy, clean, and a special place for any occasion!
Friend and I walked it at 730pm on a Wednesday. Sat at the bar. Place was busy, but no wait for a couple spots. Food was incredible.

The Nueske’s Cherrywood Smoked Bacon with Korean BBQ was UNREAL. One of the best versions I have had of this dish and that sauce was exquisite. In a night full of amazing food, this was my favorite bite. Huge, thick slab of bacon, lots of texture to every bite while still melting away in your mouth.

Caesar salad was good--we split it. The croutons were like a crustini that had cheese melted on it and were cubes. Really nice touch.

I got the Scallops with Lobster Risotto (ate one before I got the pic, sorry). Scallops were perfectly cooked and tons of flavor. Lobster risotto...I mean, incredible. Better than hoped for. Whole meal was fantastic. Services was prompt and balanced (didn't feel rushed, nor neglected). Pace of food service was great. The kitchen really expedited well.

Will be back soon!
Outstanding experience! Arrived early and was seated immediately. Our server Elaine (sp?) was on top of it the whole time we were there. Food was cooked perfect, portions worth the price point, and flavor hit all the notes! We will be back soon!

We were greeted by Naomi and served by Travis yesterday night. Travis gave us excellent advice and we enjoyed the food a lot! Highly recommend the Scallop and Lobster Risotto! And of course, the oyster was very fresh!

We enjoyed Travis’s food recommendations and appreciated Naomi’s hospitality! Thank you!
I had the pleasure of dining at Oceanaire recently, and I must say, the experience was outstanding! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the staff, and our server, Anthony, went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic meal. His attention to detail and friendly demeanor truly elevated our dining experience.

Now, let's talk about the food - it was divine! The crab cakes were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, and the sea bass practically melted in my mouth. And don't even get me started on the crab legs - they were a true seafood lover's dream come true!

To top it all off, the drinks were expertly crafted and complemented our meal beautifully.

Overall, I can't recommend Oceanaire enough for its excellent service, delicious food, and inviting atmosphere. A big thank you to Anthony and the entire team for making our evening unforgettable!

The Capital Grill in downtown Indianapolis was magnificent! The appetizer calamari was excellent, with just a small touch of spice. Our service was amazing thanks to our wonderful server Adam. He made our celebration lunch very enjoyable. We also enjoyed the Capital Grill burger, delicious, the Capitol Cobb salad, and New England clam chowder. Bonus: Adam brought us a celebration dessert on the house... this is truly a great place to celebrate!!
I’ve driven pass LHK for years and it wasn’t until recent my son and his wife dined there. They said they enjoyed their dining experience so I decided to checkout LHK for myself.

The restaurant is beautiful decorated and would definitely impress for a first date. But, before I give you my review, let me start by saying in all fairness I had just attended a birthday celebration at nearby restaurant and I wasn’t hungry. So here it is…

We enjoyed the elected complementary breads served with whipped butter. We ordered the shrimp ravioli and braised short ribs. I don’t eat pork or beef but my sister said the the ribs were tender, flavorful and well seasoned. Her only gripe was one of the three ribs were a little fatty. But that didn’t stop her. She cut the fat away and devoured her food. As for the ravioli the pasta was too al dente for me and overall an underwhelming dish. But, the fried deviled eggs…

I was apprehensive when my sister ordered the fried doubled eggs as an appetizer but wow! They were lightly battered, slightly crispy on the outside, and silky-smooth on the inside. My palate danced with every bite. They were definitely by far the star of my dining experience.
The food was awesome along with that atmosphere, but we were there for close to three hours due to the service. We would try them again.
Oceanaire never disappoints. Succulent colossal crab cocktail, specialty oysters & tasty Chefs special combination of Maryland soft shell crab pickled vegetables, rice cake topped with nuts and surrounded by a delicious buttery coconut broth. Always enjoy sitting at the raw bar; however it was loud due to the firefighter convention. Although our busy (kind!) server got us off to a slow start he was supplemented by other staff which made our return to one of our favorite venues well worth the treat for tasty food at a hefty price.

I CANNOT recommend this place enough! Staff is so friendly and fun, food is AMAZING and so fresh. I love the seasonality of the menu. There's something for everyone, from the "safe" options to the adventurous. Drink menu is extensive as well. Prices are absolutely fair and reasonable for the quality.
One of the perks of joining different restaurant food clubs is accruing points towards future purchases, exclusive member deals, & most of them give you something free for your birthday.. in some cases that might just be a free dessert, but Landry's Select Club gives $25 towards your birthday meal. With that being said, me & the Mrs. went to one of her favorites.. Oceanaire. When we switched our diet to pescatarian we began trying more seafood restaurants & Oceanaire is top notch. We still like exploring new places, buy when it comes to special occasions.. we always end up here. They're a little pricey, but since it was Devour week, she got her free dessert + $25.. we continued to let the good times roll. Happy Birthday Mrs. Edwards! 🖤
Came for a birthday dinner. Our party got the lobster ravioli, indiana duck, and short ribs for the entrees. For appetizer we had the mackerel cakes, fried, and loaded mashed potatoes. Our server knew his way around multiple wines and spirits and was just a great guy all around! Would definitely return

Capital Grille is one of my fav restaurants across the country. This location is no exception. The crab cakes are always excellent. And my go to cocktail stoli doli is always amazing. Most of my family had a steak of some sort and everyone was pleased. The service here is always top notch. This is a great date spot but also family friendly if you want to treat your kids and they appreciate non kids menu dining.

Amazing cocktails and mocktails. Sad at how much I like this place bc I hate leaving my home but will definitely make the trip downtown for this place. The staff was so kind and helpful and I really liked the vibe. The food was delicious and I can’t wait to try more items. We have two appetizers. They were amazing!

My husband and I came to Indy for a night away and to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We order the crab cake appetizer and a cup of the lobster bisque. Those were both Fantastic. I ordered the sliced filet with mushrooms, and my husband got the Kona crusted bone on dry aged NY Strip. We got three sides because we wanted to try a little bit of everything. We got the Brussel sprouts, augratin potatoes and the lobster mac n cheese. The food was absolutely FANTASTIC! We like to dine at nice restaurants and this was hands down THE BEST WE HAVE HAD!! Thank you to the chef and kitchen staff for doing an amazing job.

The service and staff were all very sweet and attentive, but our waiter Monty was hands down the greatest! We asked him for food recommendations and he gave us his honest opinion and we listened and order the things he suggested and it was literally fantastic. He was very attentive, very knowledgeable and just did an absolute fantastic job. Thank you Monty for being amazing and doing such a great job.

I really loved the atmosphere, and wait was about 40 minutes. I was a huge fan of the Butternut Squash soup! My taste buds have never been happier. Sashimi plate was a little startling at how fishy it was, but it grew on me as I ate it. The Mushroom Gnocchi was also really delicious. Not pictured, but the chips and dip were amazing!! They chips were so fresh, and the dip was savory.

I would not recommend this place if you have dietary restrictions such as no red eat or vegetarian as some people in the party struggled to find food to eat. Additionally, it could be just our group but some people did not receive the dish originally asked for until the check was out.

Intimate space with a moderate sound level. Hip vibe with a friendly casual staff. Good food and libations. Definitely good one to experience.
I reserved a table for Valentine's Day about 2-3 weeks ahead of time for my partner and me. It was our first time going there; we were excited and had high expectations. Unfortunately, only some of those expectations were met.

On the day of our reservation, we showed up 2-3 minutes early and were told we needed to wait 15 minutes for our table. I understand it was a busy night, but even so, a reservation was made, so the table should've been available and ready to seat with a minimum of 5-minute wait time. Not to mention, several other couples had also made reservations and were not accommodated. The entire time we were there, the front door and hostess desk entrance were jam-packed. This does not look well for their atmosphere as each party member probably waited 20-30+ minutes to get a table that they reserved. They either seated several walk-ins without looking more carefully at the reservations or overbooked altogether.

About 15 minutes passed, and I had yet to receive a text or get called up for a table. I gave them another 10 minutes and attempted to speak with a hostess or manager who was upfront. They spoke with one of the customers, and dispersed in different directions. The hostess desk was unattended, and at least two hostesses were on their phones in the coat check room. I had to "interrupt" them to let them know I had finally gotten a text and would like to be seated. It felt highly unprofessional for the hostess desk to be unattended for longer than 5 minutes when there was a line out the door and customers who needed to be attended to.

Eventually, one of the younger hostesses sat us at probably one of the worst tables in the restaurant. It was situated in the direct path of a walkway, where both waiters and customers were bumping into my partner's chair. I let her know, and initially, she told me I'd have to wait a while for another table. I almost left at that point, but luckily, another employee came up and moved us to the balcony. I hope we caught the Oceanaire Seafood Room on a bad day because it would be a shame if this were the highly-rated restaurant I've heard about all these years.

With that being said, our waiter was the best! He was very attentive and answered a plethora of our questions. The food arrived promptly, and we even made friends at our table.
This place is very nice and clean. The host are friendly. The waitresses and waiters really know the menu. They understand the menuand very helpful the food is great I really enjoyed it

First time here and I have to say the food and environment were both great but what set the evening apart was our waiter, Jay. He was beyond nice and informative. He guided us on what to get without being pushy and made the best old fashioned I’ve had to date. Definitely a place worth visiting and count yourself lucky if you get him.

This is one of if not my favorite restaurant ever! I currently live in Boston and drive across the country once a year. I literally plan my route to come here! It’s that good. All ingredients are incredibly fresh and the flavor profiles are OUT OF THIS WORLD! The service is always amazing. Oh and you must try the bread pudding! I will come through Indianapolis for you every year!

Went here for a date night! The place has nice ambience, two sections one more lively near the bar and the other near the entrance.

Food: I’m a vegetarian and the menu was super limited. We ordered roasted cauliflower and Hot o crock. The roasted cauliflower was very salty and had excess lemon. The cauliflowers at the bottom was almost inedible! The hot o crock was lovely, crunchy bread with a dip. The only challenge was that even though it was entree the portion was quite small!

Service: Super lovely and helpful staff!

Ambience: For a date night this isn’t it! I wouldn’t want to go for a date night! This is a fun place for casual dinners or night with friends!

Amazing! The food here was absolutely delicious. The service was also impeccable. This is the place that we go to whenever we can. That said, it’s very expensive. But you definitely get some phenomenal food for the price. It is a place that I love to go back to for special occasions. Also, don’t forget about the desserts. They were some of the best that we’ve ever had. See the pictures below.

1/13/2024 - Excellent food, service. Highly recommended for special occasion (birthday, anniversary, etc.). Had a wonderful birthday / anniversary dinner with wifey. Ean, Marija and the team took great care of us. My tuna and gingered rice was perfect. Wifey’s steak just as ordered. Complementary birthday and anniversary desert. Top notch!

One of the best Japanese restaurants in Indianapolis in terms of quality and price. They have a wide menu that includes sushi, ramen, udon, bento, donburi, etc.

The interior decor is fun, and there is plenty of seating. We were able to be seated as a table of 2 without waiting around 7pm on a Friday night. The atmosphere is lively, but it still makes for a great date night.

We each ordered an entree and shared a roll of sushi and two appetizers --more than enough! I highly recommend the takoyaki and squid appetizers. They are really filling and delicious. ⚠️ Be careful not to burn yourself biting into the takoyaki!

I also got the tempura udon. The broth is so savory and well seasoned. The tempura also showed up hot and crisp.

I can't wait to eat here again!

I actually haven't eaten here (I don't personally like sushi!) but was purchasing a gift card for family who have rave reviews. My personal feedback has to do with a problem that happened--I live in Canada and could not purchase the gift card online as we don't use ZIP codes (only postal codes) and that was what the website required. I phoned today and had the BEST experience with Panya, who helped me through everything. She was patient, kind, and so very helpful! I know that the type/quality of food that's served is important, but customer service (assistance) is also very important. Thank you so much for making this work for me! I sincerely appreciate you! :)

Drove from West Baden Springs to indy for our anniversary just to eat here. I had been here with a friend a few years ago and my wife decided she wanted to try it. Not disappointed at all! Everything was amazing!! We had a great time and enjoyed some awesome food. Highly recommend.

Always used to love this place. Amazing food every time. Was excited to go back. Had a short window of time and the staff was great in telling me what would work in my window of time. They also played along with a ‘vote what dish is better’ which was awesome and I really enjoyed the bolognese pasta. Was a hard choice to make bc the whole menu sounded so good. One of the best spots in Indy
I visited the Capital Grille for my birthday earlier this year and what a great place to go to celebrate!
The food was amazing, but the service here is what really made my day. Upon learning that I was celebrating my birthday, they decorated the table with confetti and a birthday card! Additionally, they brought me super cute desserts and champagne.
I’ve never had any food or drink here that I’ve not enjoyed, and the staff are always wonderful. One of my favorite places to go!
Went during a weekday as part of an appreciation dinner with one of my vendors. I ordered a really delicious seared tenderloin steak with butter poached lobster tail dinner. I ordered it medium rare.
The sides were ordered for the whole table and all good and paired well with my entree.

I’m not into drinking wine but what was ordered for the table was ok. I preferred the house special pineapple mixed drink I got for myself whose name I don’t recall.

For dessert, I ordered a crème brûlée with fruits on top. It was the best I’ve had thus far.

The service was excellent and the waiter took good care of us as best he could with a group as large as ours and the whole restaurant being full thanks to the conference in town.

The bathrooms were ok. Kind of dim but they looked mostly cleaned. However, it was at the end of the day so that should be taken into consideration.

It’s a really good restaurant which I’d considered fancy and for special occasions I’d go there on my own despite the high costs.

Recommended just be sure you have plenty to spend.
This is my 2nd time back to Oceanaire Seafood Room and I was even more impressed. The service is truly remarkable, Jacob was extremely attentive and made us feel special the entire way through dinner. The atmosphere is intimate and cozy. Our food was prepared to perfection and had outstanding flavor. The escargot is a must! The Baked Alaska was fun and sweet way to end the evening!

I come here every so often for their chef’s sushi plate and futomaki dinner! I’ve been consistently pleased, especially with the futomaki! It’s large and with the soup and salad, it makes the perfect meal. The place is clean and the service is kind.
After a wonderful experience here it's safe to say that it's a fantastic choice, even for a chain restaurant. From the moment we were seated, we were treated to warm and attentive service.

To start, the bread selection was impressive and absolutely delicious, setting the tone for the meal. The drinks were equally impressive, with a variety of options to choose from, all expertly crafted.

Moving on to the main course, the quality of the food shone through. The salmon was cooked to perfection, and the crab cakes were a delectable choice. The salad was fresh and served with a flavorful dressing, and the lobster mac and cheese was a delightful indulgence, with generous portions of lobster and rich, creamy cheese.

What stood out at The Capital Grille was the consistency in the quality of their food, despite being part of a chain. The flavors were spot-on, and the presentation was impeccable.

Overall, The Capital Grille in Indianapolis is a dependable choice for a memorable dining experience. Whether you're looking for great food, a wide selection of drinks, or just a pleasant atmosphere, it delivers on all fronts.
I had a great dining experience at Capital Grille in Indianapolis. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who made the evening special. The cocktail selection was extensive and offered a delightful start to the meal. I enjoyed the mezcal margarita. The crab cake appetizer was a delectable start, and the salmon was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The real star of the show, though, was the lobster mac and cheese; it was rich and indulgent. While it was a great meal, I reserve the fifth star for that 'wow' factor that I didn’t quite experience.

We frequent this restaurant at least a couple of times a month. Tonight has made me question whether we will ever return. We ordered sushi as always and decided to order Seafood Nabe per the recommendation of our waitress. It was disgusting. The fish in it especially the salmon was just this side of rotten and when we told the waitress she said there was nothing wrong with it. The disgusting smell was so strong - The smell alone was awful.. We both took one bite and left the rest of it.

This has always been a favorite place to go but them not making it right makes me never want to go back. Stay away from this dish - Gross, gross, gross.

I was really excited to check this place out as so many people have recommended it.

Service was okay, our server was pretty nice but felt like she was annoyed by us being there.

The atmosphere is pretty chill definitely better if you sit outside, the inside is a bit cramped.

Tried some of their drinks first and it was surprisingly good. The painkiller was good and the watermelon/cucumber drink was refreshing.

Started off with some chips and dips and they were okay.

I had the ribeye and it was decent. The meat was well seasoned and the sauce that came with it was decent. The corn and mashed potatoes were a bit of a miss, they just kinda blended together and tasted like regular mashed potato with corn in it.

We also tried the pork belly. It was completely inedible. There was literally no flavor, I don't know how they manage to make pretty fairly fatty pork belly and cook it so dry. We apologized to the waitress and had it replaced with the pasta dish but that one was also a disappointment.

Overall it was a pretty underwhelming experience and it could be I just had such high expectations but for the price it's just not worth it.

We came here to celebrate our anniversary, and it did not disappoint. We had a drink at the bar while waiting for our reservation, both bartenders were very attentive and friendly. Once seated, our waitress Ashley arrived almost immediately to wish us a happy anniversary and get our drinks and appetizers started. We enjoyed absolutely every bit of Ashley's service and the food was amazing. We will definitely be coming back here!

It is one of the only authentic Japanese restaurants in the Indy area. They have a wide variety of food, even if sushi isn't your thing. Service is so friendly and very kind. The sushi was good, but of course, it doesn't compare to sushi from the coast. However, the portion sizes were large, and it definitely filled us up. The bento box had everything you could ever want and a good variety. Vegetarian options as well

I usually have good experience at this restaurant but today the waitress that served our table gave me a bunch of dirty unwashed dishes and green tea served in a dirty cup. When I asked for a new tea she just dumped the tea from the dirty cup into a new cup. This feels very unhygienic and the service is bad.
This is our second visit as our time went so well. Once again The Oceanaire did not let us down.

The atmosphere is perfect for a high end restaurant and in my opinion the setting and lighting as one would expect.

Service was impeccable and the waitress in training,Ana, was already ahead of many seasoned servers I have encountered in other restaurants. The rest of the wait staff right there as backup as well.

We mixed it up this visit and went with the fried calamari mix and happy we did. Great flavor and tenderness, often overcooked or just bland which this was not.

The crab cakes perfectly presented and being from the east coast, I can say very impressed. The lobster tail I added just made it that much more fun. Halibut t-bone also a wonderful decision made. All served in a perfectly paced environment, to which I do believe many diners do not understand or enjoy. To some perhaps having appetizer and salad and main course all arrive within seconds a positive, this is not one would generally expect at a fine restaurant.

I think my only not great review was our Brussel Sprout selection as side. The preparation sounded interesting so we went with it. We also went with it knowing our other selections in the past superb, so no harm nor foul lol.

I highly recommend The Oceanaire. A fine upscale seafood restaurant operating in the Midwest, with the ability to serve fresh and often not found combinations at this level.

To those who have mentioned prices, please see above comment as without close proximity to the sea, there will certainly be extra costs to bring fresh seafood here.

On a whim, although my fiance and I never celebrate Valentine's Day, we decided to just go out for dinner. We didn't have a reservation and they were completely booked, but they made room for two more (of which we're most grateful).

Our server was Kate... I think. She was pleasant and attentive and made our dining experience warm. The food service was fast and that made our tummies warm. The food was great! We ordered several starters to enjoy. We had the foie gras and blueberry pancakes - interesting combination but surprisingly works well together. So tasty. We also had the caviar pie, deviled eggs, and fish dumplings. For our main course, we shared the whole rainbow trout with a medley of vegetables. Everything was delicious. It was an amazing impromptu Valentine's meal.

The service and ambience in the restaurant is amazing. The servers are all very friendly.

House made bread is available upon request. They are all delicious. The Sunflower Crunch salad is delicious. Unfortunately there aren't too many vegetarian starters. The North African Tajine is good too.

The portion sizes were a bit small for the price and the Tajine could do with some vegetarian protein and some sauce or gravy for the couscous to soak in some flavors.

This is one of the decent sushi place in Indy with reasonable lunch prices. We have been here numerous times and the service is excellent. Depending on the chef, it might be a good idea to request less rice in your rolls. My favorite rolls are crazy California, soft shell crab and ocean.
I have been living in Indianapolis for the past 6 years and just discovered this restaurant last night. Certainly the best food I have ever had in Indiana (except my Mom's cooking of course). Competes evenly with East Coast cities. Every dish we ordered was phenomenal. We had beef tartare and an Asian-style smashed cucumber salad as apps, followed by salmon and veal chop for entrees with roasted vegetables and fries with bone marrow drippings as shared sides. Seriously, the sides outshone the entrees. Finished it off with their toffee dessert and still feel full the next morning. Everything was perfect. The service is also exceptional. Felt like I was transported back to Manhattan.
What can I say? Intimate and cozy restaurant and bar. Our waiter was Phenomenal! Knowledgeable about the menu, excited to have us taste the food and always seemed to anticipate our next need. The food was seasoned to perfection and what a unique and delicious menu. This was a special treat. Perfect for date night, Girls night out, Anniversary or Birthday. Trust me, you cant go wrong!!
