After walking through the lovely streets and lanes of Napoli we were a bit hungry. Walked by this little place. The displayed food looked very good and there were lots of locals around. A good sign.

Ordered some meatballs and a slice of Pizza di Scarola e Oliva - a local specialty. The food was really handmade and homemade. And done very very well. The filling of the pizza (which is more like a stuffed bread actually) was generous and the veggies tasty. The meatballs were amazing. Nicely spiced and probably made out of pork or pork sausage. Hot and soft inside with a good crust outside. Good stuff. Went back and ordered another handfull of them.

It's really wonderful streetfood here. Really the kind of stuff you look for when visiting other countries. And it did cost only a few Euros. Excellent value. Very much enjoyed the food here. Next time in Napoli we will definitely be back here.
Wish we had read the reviews. The salmon and the octopus are tasteless. The dessert options are good. Not really with a view of the water. Service is shoddy at best. The cook really needs to learn how to cook fish. Fish is unforgiving and precise time is needed for best cooking and taste. Plus add some sauces and condiments to the fish - it was bland. So many better opportunities in Napoli.
Very nice place with great local dishes. We got a recommendation from a local guy and didn't regret it. You might have to wait or come back a bit later, but its worth it. The organization inside the place looks chaotic, but it actually works perfectly. So - very good antipasti (eggplant and marinated salmon), homemade gnocci and scalopina, combined with house white
wine (falanghina),all by decent prizes. When in Naples again, we'll be back here for sure.

Went right when they opened and they arranged for me to sit with another single diner. Which is fine.

Sad thing is that the mixed appetizers (antipasti misti) has to be ordered for 2.

The scaliatielli al frutti de mare is excellent.

Rather affordable prices, and wonderful staff.

Amazing menu! Wonderful service! Reasonable price. And the Ambiance is extraordinary!!!! Salvatore was our waiter but our past waitstaff Inna, Emanuale, and Rustik were all present and greeted us warmly. Amazing family thank you from James Mariana, and Cassie!

Food was so so, but the location and atmosphere were nice. After all the restaurants are not all about food. :)
the Cuoppo di Mare is delicious! fresh fried fish and seafood. great to have on the way
Spacious restaurant with lots of seating options, both inside and on a lovely umbrella-shaded patio. The atmosphere is intimate, feeling upscale yet comfortably casual. The food is incredible - I had one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. Overall, a fantastic dining experience that I'd highly recommend!
I came to this place based on a recommendation from a friend. The restaurant is at a central location and has a big menu offering several pizza and non pizza Italian food options. I found the pizza to be lackluster in taste and the quality of the toppings. Pizza was slightly overbaked with cheese on top showing clear signs of browning (if I may be a geek for a split second, it happens through reactions between the residual sugars and aminoacids (aka Malliard reactions). Mozarella di Bufala is less prone to this than Fior di Latte in my experience). For other styles of pizza this could be acceptable or even desirable but for Neapolitan style pizzas the cheese should have a uniform whitish color. It is not a bad restaurant, but there are better ones out there, especially in Naples. Had it been located elsewhere I probably would have given an additional star in ratings...

The host/waiter here was so kind and helpful in our menu selections. We had incredible stuffed squash blossoms, melon and prosciutto, seafood pasta, amazing eggplant parmesan, and gnocchi. Each dish was as incredible as the last, the dining experience feels like you are at home and the service is outmatched!
The quality of food was on the low end, the service was ok. However no one told us that we could not pay by card.
Moreover the side dishes that were written on the menu were not available.
I would not recommend this place
The food what we ordered was excellent, from mussels to gnocchi and fried fish. Everything came around 70€ for 6 portions of food. What I would recommend are the gnocchis and the fried fish.
Cutest street, misto hits the spot so hard, service super nice - 10/10

Very intricate little scam of a place - they are very polite when they scam you (for that I rate them 4/5 for Atmosphere):
- first they scam you with the quality of the food, mediocre at best
- then the wine which comes in tiniest glass you have ever seen at whooping 7-10 EUR per glass
- for dessert they give you a little piece of paper with hand written number that is about 10-20% above your total)
- a bit of a Figaro dance by the only waiter in this establishment. You start to feel bad for him honestly (maybe that's part of the trick? 🤔)
Funny thing, we ordered pizza and the pizza came from the restaurant across the street in a box and served to as as if their own.
This place serves really big portions but my seafood risotto could have been much better cooked, the rice was not tender but undercooked. The crab spaghetti special my wife ordered was quite a surprise, a bit salty but very tasty. Infusion of real crab meat into the sauce was new and refreshing.
Amazing place, with a lot of seats inside leading to a very nice and spacious garden (you wouldn't say from outside).
All menus are in english too, the staff is very welcoming and take very good care, even with young kids. The menu is very wide and includes pizza of course, but also very tasty sea food courses.
Highly recommended.
This is a nice place next to Napoli Centrale station. Lunch was a great way to start my time in Naples. I can recommend the pasta alla genovese.

Great location, sunny, sheltered and by the harbour. Not able to take a pizza as the pizza man was on a break 🤣 so we had a salad with cheese and bruschetta. Recommended

We were looking for a nice seafood restaurant and noticed this one had a decent rating. However the portion sizes are very small for pasta plates at £20-£28 and the caponata wasn’t very tasty. We only had water but the bill was nearly £50.
Fresh, quick and tasty... perfect lunch on our way to the archaeological museum!

Disappointing experience! It started off great with amazing marinated anchovies... but then came the house appetizer mix with mediocre flavors and spoiled prawns. We politely and kindly tried to point it out, but the response we got was that it was a "good taste" (in other words, "you don’t know what you're talking about"). After that, we ordered the house specialty: pasta with beans and clams – tasty, but not on the level of a delicious house specialty. We finished with melloncello, which was the best I’ve ever had! This restaurant has not been Michelin recommended since 2022, but with a bit more effort on ingredients and service, they could certainly regain that status.
Such a great experience in a heart of Naples ! Great food, the true Italian experience and affordable price. Great house wine and recommendation by staff. Highly recommend !
Despite looking small from the outside, this restaurant is huge and has a lovely garden dining area. Food was great, would recommend!
Osteria Il Gobbetto was one of the highlights of our time in Naples. Pasquale, our server, was hands down the best in the city—friendly, attentive, and full of personality. This family-owned restaurant is in high demand with both tourists and locals, so be sure to get there early to avoid the line.

The food was nothing short of dynamite. We had the whole fish, which Pasquale expertly portioned at the table, along with seafood pasta and a grilled vegetable salad. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The house wine and limoncello were excellent complements to the meal.

What made this dining experience even more special was the family atmosphere. We had the chance to go back into the kitchen to meet Pasquale’s mom and sister, who were hard at work preparing the delicious dishes. The dad was quite the character, bringing the place to life with his lively energy—he even danced in front of the entire restaurant, adding a memorable touch to an already fantastic evening.

If you're in Naples, Osteria Il Gobbetto is a must-visit for great food, warm hospitality, and a truly authentic Italian dining experience.
I visited Naples twice within the last year and stumbled upon Don Vincenzo and so glad I did! It was the best food we ate in Naples. The most delicious shrimp dish and calamari. My husband had the pasta genovese. You can see my review on Fuse travels on Instagram and Tiktok for video.
I highly recommend it.
The octopus salad was very good and the portions are good. I also ordered pasta and seafood and the price is very good for the quality of the food they gave us, between €7-€12. The guys who serve are very friendly and fast. The food is made at the moment so you have to wait 5 to 10 minutes, but the service is fast.
Dining at Don Vincenzo Pescheria was an unforgettable experience! The food was incredibly delicious, fresh, and expertly prepared. Our red-haired waitress was very friendly and attentive, adding a personal touch to our meal. The typical Naples ambiance was charming, and it was wonderful to see guests from all around the world. With a very good price-performance ratio, this place is a gem. Highly recommended!
We LOVED this restaurant. Rosario gave us top-notch service, the food was hot and perfectly seasoned, they had a great wine list, the atmosphere was cozy and intimate. I would definitely eat here again if we come back to Naples.
Nice place! I came there and wanted order a pasta, it turned out that it is a part of menu in which I could choose first course and main course with water and fruits for dessert. Pasta was really nice and fish was not that great, little dry. Although service was nice and friendly.

Our hotel recommended us this place and we believed them…wrong. Pretty touristy. Rude bad and slow service! Seemed like they were doing us a favor having us. Food was mediocre , dont spend you money here there’s probably better places.

Octopus was very tough.

Food it’s ok, we had in the other restaurant around area was better, not my type (nothing wrong). Taken order was quick, but we wait for the bill for 30mins.
We ate here during our stay in Naples. Super delicious, super fresh, nothing fancy just delicious food! Great prices, it was a full house and we managed to squeeze inside on the one table left. Staff were great, prompt service…we devoured the lovely lunch!

Unfortunately, we were very very dissapointed. We’ve walked another extra 1h to came here reading all this great reviews and it was one of our worst experience.

I will be honest and say that I’ve made a terrible choice and hoped that my girlfriend’s carbonara pasta will be the right choice.

But there were very salty and meat was dry and too well cooked

All in all, at least for us, this was a bad experience.
Pricey and with bad food. I will not recommend our dishe. Maybe other choices are better.

Very cute and aesthetically pleasing restaurant. Small but with great food at a great price. Service was also great. The waiter was patient and spoke good English.

House white wine paired well with the fish and chicken. Sea bream was very well seasoned and cooked.

Chicken portion was a little small.

Overall a great find and a must try in Naples. Look forward to coming back to try the other dishes.
Very good. We ate at the restaurant 2 times during the trip. Pasta, meat and pizza. The pizza was the best one, AMAZING! Giuseppe was nice with us and we had a great experience.
One of the best meals I had during my 10 day Italy stay! Wow, the calamari and shrimp was so fresh and loved my salad. The house wine was also fabulous. 100% recommend and my husband had the San Genovese pasta which was awesome. You can see more of my Italy Adventures on TT and IG under Fuse Travels.

It’s a small but definitely with Italian vibe restaurant. We seldom went to a restaurant twice in a trip. But this one definitely worths going back. Both pasta and seafood are delicious and at a reasonable price (I should say low). Host is nice and with ok English.

Food was excellent. A family friend that lives in Napoli recommended this place for lunch. Has a fantastic view and service was good. Food was of course excellent. Only downside is usual Italy with no A/C so we did start losing our appetite from heat exhaustion but otherwise good.

The place was recommended to us by a local. The food is really tasty and in reasonable prices as everywhere is Napoli. The staff works very hard, they are super quick, running as fast as in the hell kitchen, we think, along with the owner who is stressed but seems to be a warm person :) It is really lively but owner’s son that served our table was a bit too much. We felt like rushed and treated a bit arrogantly. It seems to be a place’s style but other staff members did in a different way.

A great dinner experience! We had a main course and a secondi. The seafood gnocchi were delicious as well as the fried anchovies. The prices are great for the outstanding quality you get and not forget to mention, the fantastic view right next to the docks.

Thank you for making the evening so nice!

Unfortunately we found this exceptional place only for our last night in Napoli. It was so f***** good. First we ordered antipasti de la maison with 8 different dishes /snacks, each of them was delicious. Then we had some kind of fisherman pasta (with a whole fish) and a sliced steak, both exceeding any possible expectations. Then, we had the dolci - rum baba and a pannacotta... no words. Too good. The best place in Napoli.
I took cuoppo misto mare (mix of seafood) and it was really good, big portion. the price is lower than in other places - 5 euro. the man didn’t speak english, but I translated menu by myself and it was ok.
Only a few minutes walk from the National Archeological museum.

We came for lunch at midday and had a delightful three courses.

Each course was absolutely beautiful and we shared a desert.

Lovely decor and staff and a very extensive wine list.

Highly recommended
We had seafood risotto and racette pizza! amazing food quick delivery! Waiters were polite. Definitely recommended!! The rates are slightly higher in comparison to other hence the 4. But affordable! Do try:) with 500 ml of beer and wine our bill was approx 50 euros
Best fried seafood platter in town. They change their oil often, you can tell their sea food is fresh. We absolutely loved it and we will be back.
The BEST pastas we had in Naples. Simply to die for. The octopus salad was very good too. Very nice portions, friendly staff and fast service. We had to wait in line for a bit, but it was worth it, 100%.

My sister does not know she was allergic to octopus. Her body rejected the food immediately, went to the bathroom, that was dirty, and smell bad also.
We left the place, then at the hotel I started feeling bad, stomach issues, all night long.
Now we are weak, at bed.
We think we got food poisoning.

I never got sick.

First restaurant in Napoli, and worst experience.

Great seafood place! We arrived just before 8PM and were lucky to get the last table - the place is popular and it will get very busy heading into the night. We ordered octopus salad, peppered mussels, grilled king prawns and fried calamaritti - everything was super fresh and the food tasted delicious! The service was great and friendly and fast without rushing - a special mention and a big thank you to the nice lady at the register! We will visit again for sure.

Delicate recipes and quality ingredients equal tasteful dishes! Zi Teresa is a posh choice for your days in Napoli next to the picturesque small port near the Forteza. Food is traditional, trattoria style with fish. However is too pricy and should be clever about your options to reach your budget.
We ordered fried squid and prawns, spaghetti with promodoro salsa, capresse salad and anchovies.. all at 85€ for 4 people.
Negative : the e-menu is not handy as it is within their internet page embedded and your can not navigate easily.
I really didn’t know whether to believe the reviews or not but I came here based off a recommendation from a local bar.

When I tell you, this is one of the best meals I’ve had in Italy….

As a solo diner with no reservation, I waited 10-15minutes for a table on a Saturday at 9pm.
After ordering, my food arrived in 3 minutes! Quicker than the wine.

I got the octopus in tomato sauce. It arrived very hot and exploding with flavor and the octopus itself is tender and full.
Every bite until the end was exceptional.
I mean WOW. It’s a MUST
House wine is good too and they offer a complimentary limoncello with check.

Pass on the rocket salad. Tomatoes were old and greens were bad. No flavor or dressing.

There are few restaurants in the world where I can say to myself mid meal that I will be coming back the next day…and again..and again. Pignata did it for me.

Stunning job! Brava.

Delicious food! We ordered the mixed seafood appetiser, prosciutto and clam linguine. All the food was incredible, but the seafood is especially recommended. I’ve never liked anchovies before but now I’m hooked. With drinks, came to €30 each.

Oh my god!! I'm still in the restaurant, sitting at a two person table by the fridge!! I'm English, solo female and by 7-7.30pm I'm usually starving!! It's currently 8.10pm and it's packed!! I'm the only non Italian here! Says a lot about a place when the locals come here. I had a starter (prosciutto & mozzarella), pasta (I went simple... tagliatelle Ragu), desert (Panna Cotta with berries) & red wine. All absolutely delicious, best food I've had since being in Naples. And...2 men with a guitars just rocked up! Don't think you can get anymore authentic than this!! A MUST visit!! One more thing...asked for the bill, got enticed into a Lemoncello... beautiful!! Perfect way to end my trip in Naples!!
UPDATE: I DID TRY TO ADD PHOTOS AND A VIDEO OF THE MUSIC AND SINGING BUT GOOGLE WOULDN'T LET ME 😔

Run as far as you can. The food was below average, but the waiter is nice. I ordered pasta with mussels and everything was fine within an hour of the meal. After that, the agony begins. I got food poisoning. I threw up all night and the next morning. I think I threw up my soul, and I was recovering for the next two days. Nothing like that has ever happened to me in my life.
A gentleman was at the main street drawing people in and he caught our attention, I'm very happy he did. Mario our server was delightful. We ordered the steak that came perfectly done med-well accompanied with some roasted red peppers, that were phenomenal. We also ordered the octopus and mussels appetizer along with the simple spaghetti in tomatoe sauce. ALL THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS...! Mario made it a whole experience. Gracias Mario...
The restaurant has a booking system, but we still had to wait 20 minutes to get our table. The place feels cozy and the staff is friendly. The food is good but not amazing. They do have a nice variety of wines. Given that this is a well-known restaurant in Naples, they could do better, especially with the booking system. The restaurant has room to improve.

Recommendation: They should work on making the reservation process smoother and try to make the food more special.
The place is good, but the prices are a bit high compared to the portion size. There’s no view, and the customer service makes you feel unwelcome. I suggest providing pictures on the menu for easier and quicker ordering.

Food was good although the seafood salad had a lot of squid compared to the few shrimps and mussels.

Service felt very rushed. We also felt like the waiters didn't really want us there so we only ordered starters and left quickly afterwards.

View was nice as you sit right next to the water and harbour.
The waiter was very nice, they knew we were muslims and informed us when a certain meal had pork in it. They also knew not to offer us alcohol (bonus point!) The meals were affordably priced, they also taste good. It's a nice place to eat in case you just arrived in naples before the check in time and wanna eat lunch, you can just walk from the main station.

The best food in the world. I'm no joking! Everything here is delicious. We ordered 5 different things and the flavour was unbelievable good. €30 per person. This restaurant exceeded all of our expectations. It's a shame that they were going on vacation the next day, as we would definitely be back.

Went here to have dinner and the atmosphere was cozy and food amazing. Older man was singing with guitar to every table. Absolutely heartwarming. Also service was good, fast and professional in spite of apparent language barrier. On top of it all, the prices were affordable.
Fried octopus tasted off. I ate mine but a woman at the table beside us returned hers. The rest of the food was ok. Service was fast.
The antipasti was just amazing! Bruscetta was amazing and so was the mozzarela di buffala. The spagetti fruta di mare, was okay but based on previous feedback we were expecting more. It was not bad but could have been better. The staff was very nice and friendly, the atmosphere and the garden - whole place was magical :) Although Sunday 8pm they already did not have two types of pasta :/
As dirty as Napoli. Tables not really clean, trash around the restaurant but at least very very large portions, really tasty (do not know if fresh) and kinda cheap. Good choice for a quick dinner. I mean really quick-were busy but waited for up to 15 min.

Great food, reasonably priced. Let’s just establish that I truly didn’t enjoy Naples; it’s dirty and dangerous. This was a sight for sore eyes, a nice escape from the city. Home bread was delicious, food was delicious. Small, neat portions. Staff - mostly people from Bangladesh; friendly and polite!
Great place to eat on Garibaldi. Came here twice actually during our stay. The variety of pizza is amazing. Seafood looks good and fresh (did not try it though). Tried different pastas as well and it was all very good and reasonably priced. Service is good as well.

We stumble across this restaurant by accident and we are glad we ate here.
The food in this restaurant it’s the traditional Napoli food, cost wise it’s very reasonable and the it’s delicious. Salvatore and Francesco was an amazing host. Definitely will come back here again to try the other dish.
Not so good. Not recommended.
We, 2 people and obviously tourists because not italianspeaking asked in the evening for a table. Even there have been many other tables free we had to sit at the worst table in the middle. After long wait, the waitress ran away while ordering, sitting an italian couple at the best table next to water. However, waiting very long for the food, the swordfish (quite expensive dish) was not hot at all and even really dry. Again waiting long for payment.
Fries were ok so 1 star

Lovely Neapolitan restaurant with a classic interior and a large menu with regional classics.
The food was good and quite reasonably priced. However, I was expecting something more spectacular as the restaurant has been featured on several blogs.
The peak dinner time starts from around 20:40. The servers also spoke decent English so overall had a good experience.
Great pizza and service. It is a few steps away from the touristy restaurants on Piazza Garibaldi and a fine choice if you are waiting for a train.
Service was friendly and quick.
Good choice to have a meal when you visit Napoli! There is a very large menu and everyone could find something to choose! Prices are very good and you’ll have also a focaccia from the house! Pizza is really tasty, but also the seafood! The restaurant is big and a nice terrace is hidden from the busy streets!
Fresh and tasty seafood , a very small menu full of delicious dishes. At first glance the whole place looks quite unassuming, but the food is great. The service is a bit slow though.
Excellent food at very reasonable prices. Everything is cooked fresh to order. A great place for lunch with harbourside views. Would go there again when in the area.

Worst meal I have ever been served! Would give MINUS STARS if I could!!!
My "fresh pasta" with tomatoes and mozzarella had a SOUR smell to it. The meatballs my partner ordered were DRY MUSH! I have never seen a meatball his texture in my life and certainly wouldnt have expected to see it in italy!
Nothing was fresh, the MICROWAVE was the main appliance in the kitchen (and had pride of place in the kitchen window). I had a view of the kitchen from where I was seated and seen alot of food heated in the microwave!
We reluctantly tasted our food and we couldn't even eat the meal (this is the first time I have paid for a meal that I didnt eat)
We asked for the bill, the waitress asked about the food, we said it wasn't good and she took our plates and started speaking with the person sorting out the bill. We got given our bill, including service charge! No apology, no comment at all from the staff so we paid and left. Had we been in our own country, we wouldn't have paid for a meal this bad, the only reason we did was because we thought there may he some difficulty or conflict if we refused and we just wanted to leave and eat elsewhere.
In summary, this is the worst dining experience, not just of the holiday, but that we have EVER had! If you want good fresh food, DO NOT waste your money here!
Simple, tasty, inexpensive and by far the best meal we had in Naples. Waiter spoke English and Italian too.
Food was good, decently priced and great serving sizes. Great service. Meals didn't come out at the same time and settling the bill was a slow process. Otherwise a great experience, would definitely come back again.

Note: the Pizza Fritte is LARGE so you may want to share it (so good) 👍👍👍

True to the other reviews, this place is good.
For other tourists, like us...
We had a couple of people in our group that were a little unsure, based on first impressions of the outside. Things are going to be different than what you are used to at home... Isn't that why you travel to other countries! We all really enjoyed our meals, the anchovies and octopus were fresh and well cooked, the gnocchi was great, spaghetti was super tasty. The tiramisu and semolina pie were delicious.
Great prices and great food.
The waiter was very nice and polite.
Delicious food, wonderful staff, served fast and on point. Take the waiter's recommendation for the starter, you won't regret it. The pasta was such a nice surprise, it tastes so much better than expected! Place looks really good and is very clean, we went around 14:00 and it was quite busy. At the end we received a bottle of Meloncello on the house. Loved it!!
Pasta was delicious! Linguine were fantastic. The service was good, you get a real local feel. Just don't have a glass of wine, although they serve it infront of you, I'm quite sure it's added with water and shells were mostly closed
Servise is so so....the service was mediocre. As a starter mussels were served simply broiled in their broth instead of white wine sauce. With no any species. We should ask additional to bring some garlic and pepper. Staff was quite rude and non polite...Pizzas were delicious. especially margarita. The account was placed on a plain sheet from the notebook, calculated for the service of 3 €. not recommendable. Never come back to this place

Squeezed in between the more touristy restaurants in this area is Patrizia's unpretentious and honest place. Oilcloth and plastic chairs outside, inside you can watch the chef working in the open kitchen. We had a good, simple pasta served with good bread and the house white. Very good value for money.
Average food, small portion and unprofessional service. Ordered mixed seafood from main course menu but it came out as little as an appetizer. However the other table got a bigger size so I wonder if they did that because I ordered a side to go with it...Waiter didn't bring wine until we got served hot food and had to remind him to get glasses...
