My 15 year old son has been going to Jennifer at Somerset Academy of Music for piano lessons for over 6 months now and has really enjoyed the experience! He has learned a lot from her and the instruction has really enhanced his piano/keyboard playing. Being that my son was self taught, we wanted someone that could take him to the next level of playing, which is what she has been doing. Jennifer is also very accommodating with scheduling and we appreciate that!! Highly recommend!!!

I started taking piano lessons as a 50 year old woman who can’t tell my left from my right, typing was one of my worst all time classes and didn’t know how to read music. I love music and had always wanted to be able to play piano. I didn’t think I was capable of learning.

Jenifer told me that she loved trying to figure out how different people’s brains work and then teach accordingly. That got me hooked! I decided to try it. I’m not going to lie, it was really hard. Certain parts of my brain work better than others and it was obvious to me which parts were picking up piano and which parts were lagging behind.

Slowly but surely, I made progress and couldn’t believe I could play the songs from my book! My favorite comment from Jenifer was “I’ve never seen anyone learn like you do. I can’t explain it but I can see it.” Jenifer was so patient, encouraging and was always able to explain something in a different way until it started to click.

I stuck with it for 3 years until I had a change in circumstance. I learned enough to play what I hoped to. Who knows, I might try again in the future!

I would highly recommend Somerset to any age or ability. Jenifer was flexible if I needed to change a lesson time and professional with billing and the running of her studio.

Teaching an old dog new tricks is tough, but Somerset has done a great job with this old 72yr. I started during Covid, and have totally enjoyed working with Jenifer, and have progressed well enough so that my playing a song is recognizable to others !!

My daughter has been taking piano lessons for almost 2 years with Jenifer and our experience has been amazing. She has learned so much in such a short amount of time, it's been impressive to watch. But what I love the most about it is Jenifer's teaching. She is so fun with my daughter - she makes everything fun and enjoyable yet she pushes my daughter to be the best she can. Jenifer teaches her students respect and appreciation of music and of the arts which can be lost these days. I would and have already recommended Jenifer and Somerset to anyone who is looking for piano lessons. You'll learn piano, but more than that you walk away with appreciation of music, with joy and with confidence.

Mrs. Jennifer is a very kind, patient, and caring piano teacher. She always makes students laugh and makes sure the environment is fun and friendly. After a 30 minute class, my son always comes out smiling, laughing and excited to share what he learned. In the last 3 years, My son learned so much from her and he is very confident to play music in school and other stage programs. Every week I could just see the excitement on his face in getting ready for the piano class. I don’t think my son could have gotten a better piano teacher than Mrs. Jennifer. As a learning bassist I wanted to take lessons to enhance my musical abilities. Loveland Music Academy has been a great path to help me along on my new journey! Admittedly I can hear the bass riffs, but just can’t play them yet. I know my teacher Scott will educate me and help unleash my inner bassist abilities. I can’t wait!

The instructors at Loveland Music Academy are wonderful! They make learning fun and engaging for our son. We highly recommend Emily (piano) and Shawn (guitar). I also appreciate that the academy is conveniently located with ample parking.

I’m a senior citizen who has always wanted to read music and play the piano. LMA was recommended to me by my piano tuner in 2017, and I’ve had a lesson every week since. My grandson and granddaughter both started taking lessons with my teacher when they were 6 years old. Both are proud of their improving abilities and love their teacher who is so patient and knows how to hook their interest.

The new location for LMA on E. Keeper Road has a nice parking lot and is easy to get to from the main arteries in the Loveland and Montgomery area. The lesson rooms are sound proofed and equipped with the needed equipment. I took my own children to Suzuki piano lessons in a private home for more than a dozen years; I can add that it’s nice for my grandchildren to witness other children entering the facility for lessons on many different instruments.

My children have been taking music lessons at Loveland Music Academy for over 15 years. Each of them started piano lessons with Linda Bergholz when they were age 8 to 9. Over the years, Linda’s expertise and focus on the importance of sight reading, practice, and form have been invaluable to each of them inspiring a joy of music. In this time, as their interests expanded to other musical instruments including flute, drums, bass guitar, and trumpet, LMA met their need to develop their talents on their chosen instrument. Loveland Music Academy has enthusiastic, professional teachers that can train your budding musician at any skill level. We highly recommend this music performance school.

I’ve been a student of LMA for 9+ years ranging from piano to drum set to trumpet. All of my instructors have been amazing. Brass instructor Davis McKinney taught me trumpet for over 2 years and helped me prepare for all my high school and honor band auditions which were all a success. Linda Bergholz has been my piano instructor since I was 7 years old and has helped me grow into a better musician and person through her humor, musicianship, and instruction. I would not be who I am today without LMA and all of their amazing teachers!!

Loveland Music Academy offers lessons in a variety of instruments including voice lessons. My children have taken piano, and violin lessons for years. The growth I have seen and the passion they have for music has been a large part of the teachers at LMA. I am so thankful that we have such an amazing option for music lessons right here in Loveland.
