Owner is rude, aggressive and abusive. Went with my elderly 83 year old father and uncle. The owner clearly has some serious anger and aggression issues. Left with nothing after putting down the plants we were going to purchase after his ranting and raving. Will never go back. Place is unkept and many plants do not look healthy. Disgusting behaviour towards customers.

I live 3 streets away and they couldn’t stay open at 2 when they close at 3 for me to stop buy and buy trees for my new house. Why have a nursery that’s open half the day and only a few days a week.

I visited the nursery with my daughter today. I walked up to the lady and man and asked where I would find tropical plants and explained that I had a large garden and needed to fill some gaps. The old man started ranting about how they used to sell $1 and $2 plants and that they never made any money from it. It was no relevance to me at all. I asked them if they were closing down as it looked like the place was shutting down. The man was so rude and saying how the place never makes any money and he shouldn’t talk to people. He acted like he was bipolar. He was extremely angry and rude. The lady was not helpful at all and just stood there listening to the man carrying on.
After listening to him rant in an aggressive manner I said I’m not here to argue with you and I then said ok thanks guys. He then said to me you’re going to leave and not buy anything and I said yep he then started yelling at me to never come back. I walked out with my daughter very shaken up and in complete disbelief at what happened. I actually felt very intimidated. I would definitely not recommend this place at all.

Visited this nursery today, they have a lot of plants, mostly specialised and bonsai, not much in the native's department, it is quite over-run with weeds and unkept in areas but the prices seem pretty good. I was thinking about buying some plants until I talked to the short nurseryman, who is obviously and unfortunately a deeply unhappy and angry person. After asking how large I might expect a certain lily pilly to grow he said it was the hardest question to answer, he ranted for a bit implying it was a stupid question, became aggressive, asked me how long a piece of string is and suggested I should tell him how big it will grow. I replied that I'm not interested in a confrontation over a lily pilly and said I'm leaving. He blocked my exit, I asked him to get out of my way and then he started hurling abuse at me as I was walking out, throwing the 'F' bomb and telling me not to come back (as if that were necessary!). If you visit this nursery (which I do not recommend), avoid talking to the surly older greenthumb chappy, he is not cut out for customer service and it will ruin your 'plant' experience.

This was my go to place for cheap plants but today the owner went after me for backing up and parking in a no parking zone to load my car with his plants after spending my money.
I thought he was joking when he asked me to read his no parking sign. I laughed and said you are joking right. He wasn’t joking. I was the only other person on the property other than him, his wife and the cat.
He was ranting and raving about Bunnings and parking at Bunnings and wanted to refund my money but I wanted my plants. I had to tell him to F off and leave me alone. He was way out of line. He said I should not come back but I had already decided that I won’t come back.
Don’t go here, don’t do business with crazy people who chase good customers away.

I first used this nursery to plant my garden about 15 years ago. I've just recently bought a new project that requires a lot of planting so I made a special trip to see what they have. I can't express how disappointed I was. The place is overrun with weeds and the variety is fairly limited, especially considering the size of the place. Some of the stock looks good but I'd say about 40% of it is struggling. They have got hundreds of bonsai trees which are of no use to a gardener.
Nonetheless, I was planning out what I needed and approached the older female to ask for some specific items. She was extremely abrupt and offered no service besides pointing in a direction with the water hose she was using.
I decided to ask the older guy for help next and that was a disaster. His replies were actually hostile. I was reading the notes on my phone and I'm not sure if this offended him but he kept saying things like "anything you find in there we are not going to have, we're not Bunnings".
I was the only customer in the whole nursery and they treated me like dirt. I left and sadly I'll never bother going back here.
I've since then read the reviews on this place and I can see it's a common complaint. The photos online are 4 years old and it's a totally different picture now. Buyer be aware at this place, brace yourself for some appalling service and potentially some blatant hostility. I didn't see a younger person working there that day but from other reviews it seems like that's a better bet if you have a question.
I can't verify this but after speaking to some locals in Mudgeeraba Legend has it that the nursery was started many years ago and the old owner has retired. The family owns a lot of land in the valley and they have been here for 3 generations. The place is now managed by their adult children who have no passion or interest for their industry despite working there their whole lives. They seem to hate it and detest dealing with customers. They have never had to start, grow or improve on the operation and from general appearances, it looks like it's in decline. It's such a shame that the legacy of this place is being destroyed.
There is another nursery a little further up the road. I'd save yourself the trauma and just skip this one.

Popped in to check it out and was impressed by the friendly staff and of course as a Bonsai fan I was blown away by the large, mature, exhibit pieces and the great range of starters and partly mature trees. If you're looking for imported and larger pots, they've got you covered too. I can't wait for my next visit but might call ahead to check what stock is in. It is October 2021 as I write this and supply chains seem to be causing long delays.
