Great basketball 🏀 players , friendly environment unless you're here in the middle of summer and fierce competition is in the air

It's my neighborhood park.
Basketball courts, skateboarders, kids learning to ride their bikes, a grassy area that has turned into a dog park of sorts. Sometimes people picnic or lay out on the grass but, um, I'd beware of that.

Sometimes there are concerts and a small farmers market.

Dynamic, historic, and high-energy are ways I would describe this park. Definitely one of the more fun parks in NYC.
Nice park but always full
You can learn the skateboard here and the cycle stunts.
Fun place. Smooth ride. Not busy.
Stopped by last night and there were no skateboarders, just 25-30 people hanging out around the perimeter of the park. Is this still a skatepark?
I love it there. Always so active with the skateboarding

Unfortunately, my experience in this park wasn’t a good one!

3 stars ⭐️ - The poor rating is due to this one specific ramp that I think should be revamped by an engineer due to wear-and-tear. (Observe photo)
I am sure others were able to succeed on their decline down the ramp but there just seemed to be an uneven, spot on it for me. Plus the exit off that ramp felt like a very sharp decline into the ground opposed to a roll off from the ramp to the ground. I thought it was just me, but one of the skateboarders told me not many people use that side of the ramp.
As a result, I got a nice busted lip and a dented chain from the other ramp. At least, the first fall was just due to error so shame on me.
Overall, it is a late beginner and intermediate level park.
The cleanest NYC park and Tht even in the Dark! But why aren't there working restrooms in this bushwick park? 🚽 🚻

Well that park is taken over by Anti Gun & Violence Organization and people that is with nonviolence and we all just get along just find , black and white people together. They always have basketball tournaments played by young kids and teenagers and the people sell food, ice cream , soda water and cookout so we can buy some BBQ and chicken and what not . We be having a ball in that park, specially on weekends. So if you have free time in your life , you owe yourself a favor of relaxation and peace and enjoyment and come spend time with us .

The vibe? Peaceful. The culture? Varied. People sitting in the shade, walking dogs, making crafts, some dancing and some playing instruments. A playground and basketball courts on the far end were in use. I enjoyed reading my book from a shaded park bench, people-watching between chapters.
It's great bur we need a skinny 2 stair but it is still a 5

Such a good park, I'm glad the skatepark project revamped it! Super excited to skate it now that it's open again.
Decent park except the run up to the bump to bars is I little tuff and the quarters are too steep
It's an decent park but they made both the outledges backside (for goofy) not a major problem but I don't understand why they couldn't make one frontside. Also the coping is aluminum so it's awkward skating the legdes.
I love coming to Canarsie skatepark. The locals don’t make you feel out of place regardless of your skill level. They’ll even lend a hand in offering supportive advice on handling tricks on your board.

Let’s not get carried away though, this skatepark caters to all walks of life from your morning workout classes, to bmx riders whipping up some cool tricks.

You have walkers and many more! I do wish the parks dept in this section would keep the skatepark more cleaned up as it becomes hazardous when we have fallen twigs and branches laying out in the open.

Besides that it’s a cool place to check out of your in the area tucked away in the corner of Seaview Park.

Their are restrooms for all in close walking proximity. There are no delis close by however they do have icy and and ice cream stands throughout the park in case you get parched.

😎
Just wish there was more space and bigger rams
So much pebbles and really small space alot of skaters and little kids get in ways

Best park in the neighborhood during school hours to visit with a toddler. Very crowded summer evenings and weekends but still pleasant. The only things that are worth traveling from outside the immediate area are the skate park and maybe a tour of the Old Stone House. Other than that, I wouldn't visit unless I was within a few blocks.
Do not listen to the review saying the skate park isn't there. It's between 4th and 5th st next to the basketball courts

Excellent place for kids with play spaces for many age groups, a ball field, historical museum, water features, and gardens.
It is no longer a skate park, the park management astroturfed the skatepark and turned it into a field to play sports like soccer or baseball.

Best Brooklyn DIY skate park byaaatch
For $120/ month skate all you want 24/7. Or stop by during office hours for $20 /pass, usually open 1-2 hrs earlier than stated hours . Owner Andrew is super chill. Park has 2 sides, street and transition. Pretty cool spot when nearby skateparks are wet/ cold/ crowded etc.

There's a playground, not pictured, for little kids and it gets really busy with parents, nannies, strollers and toddlers. This is rare empty shot taken on a particularly cold day. It's a welcome addition to the area since there aren't very many parks nearby and Prospect Park is a bit further east.
Fantastic indoor park. The staff are super kind and the skaters were really friendly/supportive. Highly recommend.
One of the best places in all of Brooklyn to skate street and vert, get lessons, and meet a great community of skaters. They keep it well run, its clean, and they keep the place PG for the little ones. Appreciate the work they do to keep a place going like this in BK for us.

My friends were berated and attacked here last night by employees. Luckily I wasn’t there to break someone’s jaw, but what a way to waste space hiring terrible employees. Go to substance, it’s 10000x better. Can’t believe these attitudes.

I ride my skateboard here and have a good time.
Get in when you can.
Cooper is one of NYCs most popular skateparks. Frequency of fellow skaters is always up. It’s pretty timeless. Not trendy. It’s a classic. There is something for everyone here. Few parks handle the traffic like Cooper. There is a flow that feels like even when it’s busy there’s room for you. The quarters, the gaps and the key hole are fantastic. People of all levels skate here. You can progress your skating here for sure. There are bigger parks with more variety. But Cooper got the recipe pretty f…exact !!! The ratios are exquisite. And people don’t skate banks like in the 90s. But there are great banks to play with.

Good mix of features with decent construction. Plenty of places to hang out in the shade. The aluminum coping is a bummer.
Wack
Great indoor Skatepark for beginners and thrm pros you know
Cool staff ready to help
Nice refreshment selection
Dope spot!!!!
Overall, a pretty garbage skate spot with horribly maintained grounds, lack of equipment and just ugly in general. There's only a couple obstacles and the ones that are there are super basic and boring, the ground is also cracked and completely slanted down hill. The only reason I don't give it a one star is because it does have one good feature which is that it's rarely ever crowded and is a good spot if you're self conscious and want to learn without everyone seeing you

Good flow park. Don't come here peak hours because it gets packed but it's good in the morning for a rip
One of the best skate parks in BK. Nice and big and easy to keep speed. Enough space to avoid people when it gets crowded.
Great place if you like to be belittled and talked to disrespectfully for being a woman of color! I love being scared for my safety when I go places :)) Please talk to your fat white manager about how to talk to females... Neverr going here again over hyped for nothing

lovely basketball courts and lots of trees. open field for running. handball court, pollinator garden. one weird thing is that the playground seems to have only been half built. the metal pole structures are there but they're missing all the things that would hook on to them that would be climbable/interactive

Cooper Skatepark has a great variation of obstacles for different level skaters. One of the best parks in NYC. Even during the most crowded hours, there’s a good flow of traffic due to the great layout and design of the park. Always great vibes from great community. Keep shredding !!! …🛹 🎞📸
This place is awesome! Clean, friendly, spacious and the owner, Andrew, has great sense of morality and civic responsibility. I started rollerblading again after a very long hiatus and this is by far my favorite skatepark. Well worth the $!

I found an Asian hornet nest. We called 311 but they said they were a part of nature. Be safe people.
We always try to find a skate park for my son when we are out and about. Found this one on my google search. Cool park! You pay $20 for all day access! Two indoor sections with ramps and skate rails and skate boxes. The one side had a large ramp. There were both adults and kids there. Everyone was very friendly. My son had a great time skating. It can get a little hot, make sure to bring water for your skater. We will definitely bring my son back for more skate time.
Two great indoor spaces - one focused on park and the other street.

Definitely worth checking out. Non-members only pay $15 to skate as long as they want.

Monthly membership is invaluable though, as it offers 24-hour access to the parks.

Andrew (the owner) is a great dude, who keeps the space well-maintained, safe, and operates a shop on the premises during normal operating hours.
Really cool park , people are nice to each other / leave each other alone to do their own thing for the most part … it needs to get cleaned more often, you can fall really easily on small rocks/debris or sticky stuff on the ground if youre not hyper-aware… they have a broom there sometimes you can use to sweep up if you want to… but the pidgeon poop that congeals into sticky traps theres no way to clean that with a broom so you just have to avoid it… unfortunately thats in a lot of spots. Its still mad fun!! the hbo show Bettys filmed here…
Very cool. Perfect local park. Next to a basketball court you could use to practice handling, etc. Mini pool. Could use a clean up.
Fun park to perfect some basic tricks. Little kids in the morning most days.. Beautiful mural and garden 💜
Great halfpipes 3',6',9.5' and a street sections

Well maintained skate park with ramps, rails, stairs and a half pipe. Nice bike trail along the belt parkway leads into the park.
Ledges and boxes and space. And a tight faux-brick(?) quarter-pipe, jersey-barrier type thing at the far end. I like this park bc there’s not much there and it forces you to be creative. Definitely not a destination per se, but more than adequate for a full sesh.
Rad mid-sized park with something for almost everyone. A lot of solid rails, boxes, hubbas, a couple quarter pipes, hip, and a fun mini euro. The pole jam and middle pyramid offer ways to get creative. The flatbar is perfect if you need to learn a new rail trick. One of the best skatepark handrails in the city, in my opinion. There’s not a lot of flow or transition skating—it seems like ramp lovers hang out at Cooper nearby. McCarren can get crowded on the weekend like most NYC parks, but that’s just part of the game.

Smooth park with a balance of street and transition skating. Lots of ledges of all sizes, nice twin hubbas for both stances, and a small but skateable handrail. The rainbow rail up the euro is entertaining but gets in the way of the euro a bit. The A-frame rail is the same as the one in Sea Isle City, it’s decent but the ramp angle is weird for the height of the rail. Everything is pretty slide- and grindeable, although I had to wax my board and trucks a couple times in order to make it across the flatbar, which is super hard to access for regular frontside/goofy backside. Both of the banks are really nice for flow. Solid park for learning tricks, a chill warmup sesh, or a Saturday with the crew.
A chill park with smooth ground and a sparse layout. There’s a bit of a downhill and some of the ledges are rounded. The C-rail is a fun challenge and the planter is a blast, definitely my favorite feature. All in all, though, it’s one of NYC’s more forgettable skateparks.
Cool nice and piece full every relaxing..nice place for the family to chill and free ur mind

I enjoy this park.Clean. Alot of diverse people. Can be crowded at times. They have a basketball court, you can see kids ride there skateboard and do personal workouts at this court.
In the center of the park is a nice grass area where people enjoy tanning, reading and meditation. In that same area, doggy parents will come and have some off leash play.Dont forget to buy puppy churlish from Lonnie and his dog Bella. They have bathrooms. Lots of benches. A gated park for toddlers. During the summer they have a small area for the water sprinklers. Alongside with another park entry where kids actually ride there skateboards.Teenagers and Adults can be knuckle heads and cause trouble so randomly cops will always be in patrol for everyone's safety. Park does hold events.
Vans! They're the greatest. Shoes, people, company, all of it. Doing things right since 1966...
Dope spot that is invite only. If you skate in NYC this is a place to go and skate.
BEST SKATEPARK IN BROOKLYN. just watch out for kids riding on there belly's snaking everyone
Great place for everyone of all ages to let loose especially in the Winter time. My daughter skateboards here. Staff was very friendly.

Definitely a huge park. Always a lot of people and kids. My favorite time is in the spring and summer. Lots of water spots for the kids and a huge field to play in as well also a soccer field. Good for all different age groups. Also a nice seating area for breakfast or lunch in the garden. My only concern is there are NO gates. So keep an eye on your little one there’s over 5-6 openings straight to the street. Could kind of be a little overwhelming but the kids like it and it’s always clean.
Ok skatepark, nice smooth ground but only has like 3 ledges and is on slight downhill slant
Some months ago I've posted pictures of illegal dumping along the trails from Canarsie park to Canarsie pier. I've stated that the photos will be deleted when the garbage were removed. I am glad to say that garbage has been removed and the photos deleted off Google. Here's the new updated photos.

Wonderful park and playground in the heart of Park Slope/Gowanus. There are daily events and music performances by the Stone House, many smaller gardens, as well as various mini playgrounds. I love the water jets in the middle of the play ground area providing a very much needed summer cool off. There are restrooms as well.

Mainly skaters. Seem to try and intimidate the scooter riders. But still a good ride to get off of the bucket list.
Chill little skate spot. You could kill a day here easily. The flat ground is good, it's all down hill though. Gotta watch for people walking through as it's right next to an entrance/exit for the park.
I found this place while bike riding. It is versatile for skateboards or BMX. I will definitely return with my kids.
A really fun skate park in an interesting area of Brooklyn. If you want lots of transition, this is not the place for you, a few decent ledges. Various rails and Hubbas. A very good angled manual pad. A few fun banks. I spent a couple hours here and would definitely skate it more often if I lived closer.
There is a great little playground just across the field from the skate park called Canarsie Playground that's the best I've seen in Brooklyn so far. It's not in Canarsie Park by 102 st but close to the end of Remsen, for some reason Google is not letting me add it as a separate place. It is a gem for little children who need a fun safe place to play. There are also large grass fields where kids can run and play on too.
