I didn't notice if there was a playground, but it is a very nice park

Dynamic, historic, and high-energy are ways I would describe this park. Definitely one of the more fun parks in NYC.

Best park in the neighborhood during school hours to visit with a toddler. Very crowded summer evenings and weekends but still pleasant. The only things that are worth traveling from outside the immediate area are the skate park and maybe a tour of the Old Stone House. Other than that, I wouldn't visit unless I was within a few blocks.

Excellent place for kids with play spaces for many age groups, a ball field, historical museum, water features, and gardens.

There's a playground, not pictured, for little kids and it gets really busy with parents, nannies, strollers and toddlers. This is rare empty shot taken on a particularly cold day. It's a welcome addition to the area since there aren't very many parks nearby and Prospect Park is a bit further east.

Definitely a huge park. Always a lot of people and kids. My favorite time is in the spring and summer. Lots of water spots for the kids and a huge field to play in as well also a soccer field. Good for all different age groups. Also a nice seating area for breakfast or lunch in the garden. My only concern is there are NO gates. So keep an eye on your little one there’s over 5-6 openings straight to the street. Could kind of be a little overwhelming but the kids like it and it’s always clean.
