Some lovely exhibits that are nicely displayed. The jazz exhibit was especially interesting!
Highly recommend this place. I discovered new American artists and enjoyed artwork that told stories (thanks to well written historical summaries), made me feel curious, happy, and inspired wonder.

The small-ish museum is located on gorgeous land with trails, greens, picnic areas. And if you want even more, head over to nearby Rockford Park.

Even though there were no tours on the Saturday I went, the sweet person from whom I bought the tix was so knowledgeable. I really appreciate that she understood my frustration with the website and shared that similar feedback has already been shared with IT. She also suggested other area museums I may enjoy based on my preferences.

Neat little art museum tucked away in a nice part of Wilmington. It takes about 2 hours to see the whole thing.

The bottom floor has some historical portraits and such. The top floor is contemporary art.

Well maintained outer grounds also. There is a labyrinth beside the parking lot you can walk around in.
I went to see my friend's MFA exhibition. Beautiful work, building, and event. The staff is very welcoming
This museum was absolutely spectacular. I was there for about an hour and a half, most people might spend an hour or less. This was my first visit and i loved all of the art displayed. There were 3D pieces, big and small paintings, puppets, it was so cool. Not only was the art displayed neatly and easy to navigate, but admission was free!! Also, the staff today were extremely friendly i love them. They greeted me with giant smiles, genuine care, and gave me information about the current displays and how they would change along with a pamphlet that gave information about the artists. I would definitely visit here again.

This is a nice little museum highlighting up and coming artists from all areas. For admission, they only ask for a small donation, with the minimum asking being $12. Since the place is small, you can spend at least an hour here looking at all of the fascinating exhibits. The museum itself is very clean and well organized. They have a large parking area, coat check area, restroom and a small gift shop near the entrance. I enjoyed my visit and would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves art.

I love art museums and this one is absolutely beautiful, and well maintained. They have so many great exhibits on the two floors and some interesting sculptures outside. The cost of admission online was only $18, which is rather inexpensive for viewing the great artwork that is on display. The staff is friendly and makes all feel very welcomed. They have plenty of parking in the back, several restrooms, a kids' corner for activities, a little cafe, and a cute gift shop. I definitely recommend checking this place out as it is truly a great way to spend a couple of hours of your day.
Contemporary art gem. 💎 The exhibits and educational support for the community is outstanding. If you are an emerging or early established artist their studio residency program is excellent.

This place is hard to leave without buying something. Your going to go in for a few things and come out with more than a few. They have so many things to satisfy even a picky shopper.

The music was extremely loud and both myself and another employee asked for it to be turned down and the clerk simply laughed and turned it even louder. I left the store and don't intend to go back even though they have some really nice things that I actually had in my cart planning to buy.

This is the best store in southern vermont. They have the best cheddar I have ever had. They have great old fashioned candies and fancy fudge and truffles. They have nice nice souvenirs and cute little toys for kids.
I love this place. They have a lovely selection of items: clothing, jewelry, candles, gifty things. I love poking around. Their clothing is unique and excellent quality - I can almost never not buy something!

Very cute store - deducting 2 stars for being questioned in front of the entire store if we ACTUALLY paid for the $5 mini rolling pin we bought.

We were told to feel free to check out at the cashier counter at the back of the store, and then after doing so, were weirdly stopped by the lady at the front (the same one who said we could check out in the back) who implied we did not actually pay. I know in this day and age mini rolling pin thieves are running rampant, but I sincerely PROMISE I am not one of them ! love ya

Betsy Knowles is the heart and soul of The Art Works of Wilmington. Through hard work and dedication, she has turned an otherwise rustic industrial building into what it is today, a unique social gathering space welcoming all whom pass this way.

Although our social interactions were brief, over time I've come to know and respect Mrs Knowles for her many, often unheralded, contributions to the Arts and People of Wilmington. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I conclude, If you're ever out and about shopping for eye candy come see. There are many talented people here waiting to meet you. Tell them I sent you.

Special shout out to jim the ty-d-bol man⭐

Need to have full-time cashiers. Not self-help cashiers. I know this store has a huge theft rate because the employees have no clue what going on but can communicate with themselves. But what do you expect from a minimum wage job.

Great place!!
Terry at the front desk was so helpful
So many interesting artists. Feel free to walk in an open door to talk to any of them. Just a great artist community.
The cutest must shop gift store.
I love museums and galleries, and in recent times, I have been looking for something more manageable since I am not always able to walk as far or as long as other friends and family members. I want to mention this for any visitors who may bring along an elderly relative or someone with an illness or restrictions to their movements.

With this in mind, I must say this museum was comfortable and easy to navigate. I couldn't believe they didn't charge entry but simply recommended donations. I think it's worth the trip and donations to keep this valuable resource in the community! By the way, they have a store where I honestly had to stop myself from buying too many things.

As far as the art being showcased this season, it had interesting installations and interactives from 16 artists. I felt it called upon our curiosity and open-mindedness to observe and understand some of the topics woven through the art. I will admit this was a good experience for me because I'm not typically a fan of contemporary art.

I wanted to open myself up to new experiences. Trying to understand what some artists are trying to bring to our attention made for a good afternoon and great conversation after my husband and I left. I look forward to checking out upcoming exhibits this year and maybe visiting during an art loop.

I had a wonderful experience at this museum. I had not been since I was quite young. I could not remember much about it or really say I could leave a review until I went back. My husband and I spent time strolling through and enjoying everything our hearts desired. I'm glad we started outside because the inside is bigger than I recalled.

We started outside with the sculpture garden since that day there was a nice cool breeze. Most of the path was quite level, so I wouldn't have any issues with using my cane. I don't always need one, but I have some bad weeks. It's important to mention this especially if you look at my profile and my reviews, I'm looking out for accessibility issues whenever I go places.

I think about wheelchair users, and I think about older folks and people who have health problems like myself. Speaking of which, on the inside, the museum has elevators, so you can get upstairs and downstairs with ease. The bathrooms are comfortable, spacious, and conveniently located. To me, every space felt welcoming and carefully designed and decorated!

I loved the variety of artists and art on display. I was impressed with the number of African American artists I ended up learning about. I was just going to enjoy the museum and personally didn't have any expectation of finding a lot of Black artists. So I was pleasantly surprised, and it gave me a sense of pride!

We had our lunch at their cafe, which is really a beautiful space. We chose to eat outside because, again, it was nice weather. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and accommodating if there were any needs expressed during the trip to the museum. I recommend locals and out-of-towners visit because you get so much for $14, the price of what some fast food meals almost are, honestly.

I would advise several hours to take it in, and I was there two and a half hours but didn't get to the library or children's area downstairs. Neither did I get to shop even though their shop looks like it's fantastic! I will be back to visit again during the Rosetti's exhibit. Five-star experience and I'm thinking about getting a membership for the family.
This store and the dear ladies that run it are a treasure! Like going back in time! Best gifts in Vermont! I ever added to my stamp collection a few great original Confederate Stamps! Thank you!

A charming shop full of wonderful little treasures tucked throughout multiple rooms. They have a variety of everything, perfect hostess gifts or souvenirs. Really adorable.
We visited the Art Museum on a Sunday because Sundays (at least at the moment) are free. It was my first time to the museum and I was pleasantly surprised by the size and scope of the place. They have a lovely sculpture garden outside. We spent about 20 minutes walking through it. Inside there is plenty of impressive art that was created or held by Delaware collectors. We ended up spending about 2 hours perusing it. There is also a very good coffee and sandwich shop, and a gift shop. We really enjoyed our afternoon and will return.

I really wish I would have known this was here earlier. Love these types of studios. There's so many open spaces though. Where you at ARTISTS. Get in here and get seen and let me see and purchase your works. The atmosphere is amazing. Would love to know more about the owl. There's so many of them in here. Loved that you could find amazing paintings, pottery, handicrafts, and other great works in here.

The gallery was fantastic and would be a great place for events. Hopefully I'll go to one soon. Thanks for having such a great place!

Well-curated collection of art, both historical and contemporary, with a lovely sculpture garden to add to the pleasure. The museum was very quiet on the June Saturday we visited with plenty of space to enjoy the art without crowds or distractions. The cafe, located on the main floor, is small but quite special.

I visited Wee Bird Studios and watched Megan Stephenson create wheel- thrown pottery. It was very enjoyable to see, first hand, such a talented artist at work. I was able to purchase a beautiful mug and a wine glass, which I will treasure dearly. If you get a chance, stop by and visit Megan. Her charming personality adds to the beauty of her art.
I had the incredible opportunity to visit the museum on the evening that the University of Delaware was hosting its opening reception for their MFA thesis program, featuring local artists like @AmiracleArtistry. It was a real treat. We got to enjoy drinks, hors d'oeuvres, and beautiful artwork.

One of my favorite stores- she carries locally made goods, items made by US businesses and some that support nonprofits therefor I think the owner’s heart is in the right place. I’ve had wonderful experiences and conversations with her- people are so quick to judge. Why would she carry kids clothing, puppets, puzzles and books and not like kids? See for yourself and don’t let those with negative opinions dissuade you from patronizing this local shop.

Wonderful store. Since 1971 I'd love to drive up to this store in Vermont and buy the best Cheddar cheese there is. But moved to Colorado and missed their cheese since. Well I ordered some up and had a smile on my face since. This is a fantastic store to visit. Orders boxed excellent and quick.
This place is super cool ! I just went and watched a glass blowing demonstration by Corning Museum of Glass Mobile Hot Shop. It was like watching an episode of Blown Away live so you could ask any questions you might have while they were doing it. Amazing!
This was a great museum. I love that it was interactive. Definitely worth a visit. The best part was meeting some of the artist in residence, some were actually actively creating, others were explaining and engaging. It was a great experience!

Shout out to the youth program they offer as well.

Charming place to visit. Super friendly staff.
The town is lovely...like really classic New England. The building is pretty old, so it feels like you're stepping back in time. The floors are a little uneven, so be careful.
The stuff they sell is mostly touristy stuff, like t-shirts, mugs, figurines, etc. They also had maple syrups, and cheese. There was also an entire room for kids things. But, the game changer is the fudge. Several varieties, of which my husband bought most, haha.
Next door was a quilt shop, which was closed down, but the building dates from 1805 which adds to the charm.
There was plenty of parking in back

Marc Leslie glass is a treasure! What an amazing class with a fantastic instructor. Bought the whiskey glass from him as well and it's perfectly balanced.
Happened to be there on a Friday night and got a peek of the fourth Friday event but unfortunately couldn't stay. Will be headed back for sure
Owner was super helpful. Very nice. Let me take my time looking at stuff. A large collection of things to go through. I was there for jewelry, I would say most of it is middle of the line, but still all very nice. I bought a bracelet to go with other jewelry that I bought for my girlfriend for Valentine's Day. Fit perfectly

Amazing shop in the cute town of Wilmington. Well stocked with local cheeses and fun drinks. The store has lots of Vermont items from magnets and pics to maple syrup and dish towels. There are lots of toys and puzzles, but most importantly a delicious assortment of chocolates and the best fudge around. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Stop in to see what piece of Vermont you can bring home!

This store has so much potential. It’s a quaint, small-town shop right in the middle of Main Street. It sells cute items for people of all ages. However, the owner (I assume she’s the owner) doesn’t seem to want anyone in her store. She’s rude and she follows you as if you’re shoplifting (she told us how someone stole from her a few years ago). The worst part is her clear animosity towards children. She asked that my 8-year old niece stay outside while the adults shop (seriously??). If kids do somehow sneak in she hovers over them and makes comments under her breath. Do yourself a favor and patronize ANY other store in town.

The Owner uncomfortably and nervously hovers over shoppers; I've gone in the store many times to try and shop local, but feel like I'm chased out each and every time. Forget bringing children inside, they are definitely not welcome.

Great little shop with candy, fudge maple syrup, and trinkets. Lots of great gifts for everyone in your family and best of all, CHEESE! I like to stop here everytime I hit Mt. Snow. The staff is friendly and will give you samples of th the cheddar cheese!
Such a great little store. All of their premadr foods are worth a try. Yo U must try their chilli and corn bread it is probably one of the best things they have!

All of their produce, meats, and eggs are local and delicious as well. They have a great selection of various cuts of meats in their freezer section as well as desserts for in their display cases.
This store deserves our business. Such genuine people were in this place. So rare.
Beautiful store, really well merchandised and a fun place to shop for gifts.
This is by far my most favorite store in Wilmington. I have been going to this store for over 13 years every chance that I get up to Vermont. The store is the most beautifully decorated store that you will see. It reminds me of the shops in Nantucket. Every season it is exquisitely decorated with the most unusual and uniquely beautiful treasures you will see anywhere. The clothing that they sell is also great. They have it all from beautiful decorations for your home and kitchen to quilts, children's clothing and jewelry. Check it out, the sales people are so nice!!
