Kavasutra is a nice vibe. Everyone of the regulars are nice and welcoming with even kinder bartenders. Would recommend to anyone looking for a third place. For a work space(sometimes not quiet), a study spot, or just a place to relax outside of the house.
I absolutely love this place. Can’t say enough kind words about all the kavatenders. They are all incredibly kind and welcoming and genuine. The tea and kava is off the hook too!
This place is such a fun getaway. It’s like a small community, and everyone knows each other! Gina is one of the bartenders, and she such a joy to be around!
I had a wonderful experience at this kava bar, best in the states! My bartender was gina and explained what kava and kratom was to me very thoroughly! Definitely recommend!
Been going to this place for almost 3 years now and consider everyone family. Gina particularly is one of the nicest people I've met!

My second favorite bar in PHX. Love the variety of Caribbean rums and cocktails available. Fab upscale tiki bar experience.

I recently visited The Rose Garden and it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations! This bar is a hidden gem that offers a perfect blend of ambiance, creativity, and top-notch service. All staff were attentive, knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about providing excellent customer experience.

It's not just a place to have a drink; it's an experience to savor and remember. Cheers to many more visits!
When I started coming here my wife cheated on me with one of the regulars. They ended up banning her but the place still reminds me of her. Atmosphere got weird, management is definitely on something, but the gossip makes it like a sitcom episode every visit so I guess it’s Truman show vibes

Great drinks! Good place for a date, the place was adorable and the service was amazing. I recommend "Under the Harvest Moon" if you like a nice sweet cocktail, and it comes in a really cool glass.
Intimate, immersive and great for a solo drink or time with the friends or a great date. Friendly to all crowds and decoration is on point for pictures all over the place. Great indoor and outdoor seating. We will be coming back for sure.

What a beautiful experience, It's easy to find, easy to park, and being that they serve food is such a plus since I don't drink much. The mojito drink was so refreshing! I can't wait to come back. I'm already planning with a group of friends. The decor is splendid and the peacock style complements the picturesque ambience.

I am a wedding photographer (Nico Marie Photo - @nicomariephoto on IG!) and I often have couples requesting a cocktail lounge/bar as the location for their engagement session and I am SO SO glad I found The Rose Garden! They are fabulous to work with all around from booking, to the great staff, as well as the delicious drinks and darling atmosphere. (I have yet to try the food but I'm sure I will at one of my upcoming visits!!) Cannot recommend this spot enough!

Place is well ran establishment, it is clean, the people are courteous, and you could tell the owner knows what they’re doing. All the Kava and Krat him as well balanced and you can tell they did their research sourcing their products. I’ve been in many bars, and this is my favorite in Arizona.
Came for a beverage and appetizer before we went to another restaurant to meet friends. Cocktails were great and hand-crafted. Our hummus appetizer was the BEST. The chef nailed it!!

Good food, good cocktails, good service! Chef Mike did great preparing the food, Ben mixed up some awesome cocktails, and Jasmine’s service was outstanding.
We came to The Rose Garden to celebrate the birthday of a special friend. From the moment we walked in, Andrea greeted us as we were the most important guests in the venue. She impressed by offering us sparkling water which is what my friend and I grew up drinking. It was clear to us that the staff at The Rose Garden are knowledgeable about the cocktails and they are proud to be serving their guests. We feel we were welcome and appreciated the entire time. To top off the evening, my friend was offered a special birthday treat. The staff at The Rose Garden made a special visit and occasion incredibly memorable. Great job Andrea for making us feel welcomed!

While visiting Phoenix for a work conference our local friend insisted we needed to visit Undertow! I am so grateful she made our reservation because the hype did not disappoint! Truly I was so blown away by not only the exceptionally friendly service, flavorful drinks but especially the atmosphere! The attention to detail and theming is Disney-level. It’s fully immersive and believable that you’re on a ship! They clearly put a lot of effort into crafting a memorable experience for all guests and I am grateful to have been one of them. Easily the best bar experience I’ve ever had. 10/10 entirely recommend! If you’re in the area this is a must a visit!

So much fun! Came here for the first time with friends who have been here many times before. Had a fantastic experience and definitely recommend. Decker and Richie were awesome and had no issues spending time chatting with us and giving opinions/recommendations about various drinks. The ambience was like Rainforest Cafe kicked up a notch (in a very good way!) Maybe on the pricier side but the drinks were all excellent.

This is a great spot for a nightcap, and beautifully themed. But the environment left much to be desired, especially when one is paying $20 per drink. We arrived for a reservation and my husband was sat in a chair with a broken arm, facing a neon yellow mop and bucket. I had a view of some cardboard wine crates stacked just behind the hostess stand. Many lights were out in the decor, as well as some aggressive spiderwebs forming behind the bar on the ceiling.
The drinks were lovely and service was great. It just feels like management is letting the place go.

Tired of the same old drinks and bars? This place is a must-try for unique cocktails and an unforgettable experience. Their perfectly balanced drinks are delicious, and the atmosphere is one-of-a-kind. You'll want to come back again and again.

Awesome pirate ship themed spot with unique drink options and awesome experience. This building has 3 separate themed bars, this one is the hull of a ship, one is a NYC train during prohibition, and one is New Orleans themed. All 3 are awesome and offer a unique experience and highly recommend.

This was a fun place! The atmosphere is fantastic and the service was great. They have lots of unique cocktails with great presentation. Great for a date night or a night out with friends. Reservations are required.
I have sampled every kava bar in the valley and this place is by far my favorite. Great atmosphere, events or live music some nights, other nights are quiet and relaxed like board gaming. Lots of options for kratom, kava, matcha teas, and more.

Such a cool place! Drinks are tasty (and strong) and the atmosphere is so fun. Definitely make reservations (although they do charge you $15 a person, which I thought was applied to your bill but that wasn’t the case, still worth it though). Greta place for a celebration
I was taken aback by the experience of being asked to leave simply because I didn’t meet their drink-per-hour requirement. This incident raises serious questions about their customer service and business ethics. While I understand the need for purchase requirements for non-patrons, being a paying customer and not occupying a full bar should exempt one from such treatment. This encounter left me unimpressed, especially considering I was on the verge of writing a positive review to support a local establishment. Unfortunately, until there’s an improvement in basic customer service and business etiquette, I won’t be returning.
This place has a beautiful ambiance. Well lit, intimate, and perfect for a date night. My husband and I came here for a few drinks, we didn't eat. What I really loved was how clean this place is. Before we were seated at the bar, someone came and wiped off the seat and table before being able to sit down. A lot of places haven't done this since Covid-19, which should still be a priority because germs are everywhere. I would highly recommend Little Rituals for a date night.

This is the place to be if you're looking for an older crowd 25+. Music is right on point from old school to new school. We were looking for an older crowd but music we could relate to (we are 37/38 from Southeast) and The Womack did not disappoint. Drinks were great, DJ kept us live and DJ was right on point. Very diverse crowd, black, white, old youngish. If ever back in Phoenix/ Scottsdale we will definitely be back. We definitely recommend (Feb 2024).

Truly ridiculous. Trying to be something they are not. It's a bar inside a Marriott residence inn not like it's in a high line hotel in big city like Chicago or NYC. The ropes in place to ask people to stand in line to get in are a little much.
Additionally after being there two nights in a row with work group the third night I went to the bar for a nightcap and left my purse and jacket in my room just a few floors above and went down for a drink. I was told for the first time that I needed to show my ID. I was happy to give my hotel room number to prove l was a guest. I was told I couldn't come in without an ID. I'm 58 not like Ilook under 21 so that wasn't the issue. I went back to my room grabbed my purse and went right next door to the other bar and spent my money there. Additionally in the prior nights they wanted to charge me $2:50 for an ice cube. Don't waste your time on this wanna be night club.
Not worth it. Plenty of other bars in the area without the drama or waiting in line when the bar is empty. Guess they don’t need the business.

Overall bad experience. Went there hoping to get insight on kava and how to prepare it at home with recommendations on what to buy. The guy who helped me had no clue on any of the things I asked about kabva. The drink I had worked well. He sold me the product to make at home which was supposed to be exactly what I was served. I have no come close to a similar feeling.

I asked him what a good dosage would be, and all he could say is the entire container would be mixed with a gallon of water. Clearly had no knowledge and only knew what his daily duties were. Wasted 60 Dollars on bunk product. I would've purchased online had I known I'd get 0 help

Stellar. Like traveling back in time to the chicest lounge without the all the smoke. Bartenders knew all the classics, nibbles menu for happy hour hit all the nostalgic vibes with onion dip and olives, lighting was on point, leather wrapped bar and booths was the cherry on top. Go for happy hour then go back for one of their many weekly nights of live music (of all styles and genres).

Located on the 4th floor of the hotel, but not actually operated by the hotel. The place gives off a speakeasy vibe. Drinks are fantastic and the bartenders were super knowledgeable and made great drink recommendations. I had the Mediterranean plate for dinner (vegetarian) and it was delicious.

I'm sure Arlene has four arms the way she stayed in motion and ensured everyone was well taken car of. I stopped by on a Thursday night after work, and I'm thankful I did. Great place to take your friends when they come in from out of town, just make sure you make resys. It's got a great speakeasy vibe, I always order the "ponzi scheme" drink. Be sure to keep the coin if you order it. Take it back upon your next visit and redeem it. As mentioned by our lovely host, you could get a "a free drink or simply an attitude" which in my opinion adds to the charm of the drink's name. 😀
The food is top notch better than 99% of other places. Drinks are elegant and tasty. Definitely a great spot for dates! Vibe is so chill with low lighting.

Definitely a change. So happy to have this so close. Great vibes. Interior is absolutely amazing. Sat at the bar, and our bartender was knowledgeable of what each drink entailed, based on what we were craving. Had an old fashion from the Happy Hour menu and for $6, I gotta say, was surprising. It was a very tasty old fashion. Ordered the charcuterie board out of curiosity and it didn’t fail. Snacked on truffle popcorn, as well. The company was great and having had had that being here, was a bonus. I will absolutely be back…it’s so close I can walk!
Just one note, the open mic/comedy isn’t needed. There’s no need for that…it’s perfect without the comedy stuff.

The vibes were off the chain! Grown and sexy crowd. Great diverse mix of people. The drinks are $14-16 but elevated with real fruit juices, and great pours. Hats off to the bar tenders for holding it down with great service. We had a couple focaccia apps that were delicious! No substantial food here, so don’t expect a full course meal. Mostly small plates. We appreciated the old school DJ mix too. Music was banging. Small dance floor. Plenty of security who were respectful and friendly. Only drawback is we got hit with an automatic 20% gratuity on the tab. But hey, good servers are hard to find these days, so I can see why. Smoking is allowed on the patio which was annoying too.

Despite even those things, The Womack can’t do any wrong. Five stars!!
Went for a dinner there. Good atmosphere! A good place when you want that quality time with your people!

Really great bar. Too cool for me to be in, but there I was. Great staff, excellent service, overall great experience.
First-timer. It was dark coming in from outside, I had to stand for a moment to let my eyes adjust, so that makes for a dramatic entrance~ Sat at the bar, everyone was kind and inclusive. Jade the Brew master (tea) gave me an idea of what it was all about. Very pleasant environment, many conversations were natural and open to all. I'm older than the patrons here but it was just a nice atmosphere and I enjoyed having a tea and the visit. I'm sure I'll return~

If you like drinks there's a guy named Jessie. My fiance and I are from California and she's a former chef so we frequent upscalerestaurantsand bars. We both like wisky and this guy came out of nowhere and made us the best drinks we've ever had. I mean this guy is an artist. I wish we could take him back with us. Lol ..trust me we have been to alot of so called good bars and they aren't worth what they charge. so enjoy this guy's talent because after years of bar hopping he has taken the #1 spot. The place itself is amazing and really cool people.. very organic and chill.

Upon entering the door, I was greeted with excellent customer service and was sat at the bar. Rob, the bartender crafted two incredible cocktails. This bartender is a true artisan and very gifted in his industry. The cocktail pictured is called “Pink Your Poison” and it was absolutely fantastic.
He then made me a “White Lotus” and it was the most aromatic and divine tasting cocktail I’ve ever had. This might be because I recently had several terribly crafted cocktails at a five star resort in Florida and have been pining for a bartender who knew what they were doing. Nonetheless, this place is an excellent choice for anyone in their 30s looking for a chill atmosphere and service from people who know how to provide service! Love it and I highly recommend a visit :)
PS the pimento cheese dip and chips are delicious.
Amazing service. We never had to wait for a drink or to order food. We came for brunch and split the Ahi Tuna and Beef Rib breakfast and it was delicious. We also had multiple cocktails which were exquisite.

The drinks here are unique, well balanced, and delicious. I loved the white lotus and the leave only footprints. I do wish they had more vegetarian food choices and a dessert or two. A friend ordered the pimento cheese dip, which I thought was good. Service was quick and nice. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate- great for date night.
This has got to be the most underrated bar in phoenix. Great atmosphere and great drinks. They do the basics very well but also have a great cocktail list. My go-to spot. Best sidecar I've ever had, I know it's in the name, but it's made with gin along with cognac. I've tried to replicate it, but it's never as good. I'd put this up against any of the top bars in phoenix but I also love how easy the whole experience is here unlike some other overhyped trendy bars in the area

Highball is our new fave Friday night spot! Cozy and luxurious with amazing staff and cocktails
Sidecar Social Club at Ocotillo restaurant is a true craft-cocktail bar in Phoenix. I savored two masterpieces: "Purple Does Something Strange to Me" with Kentucky bourbon, Mexican rum, and elderberry honey - a delightful light sipper, and "Azteca" featuring Mexican whiskey, mezcal, and amaretto, an inventive twist on the Oaxacan old-fashioned. The culinary adventure continued with a flawlessly crafted beet salad, where smoked beets, ricotta, arugula, pecans, and honey mingled in perfect harmony – an ideal choice for a balmy Phoenix summer evening.
Stayed at the hotel and it was a cool and amazing experience. The mushroom mac and cheese was AMAZING!!! and there were lots of options for cocktails, something for every taste. I had fun trying 3 of them and wish I could try the rest. The place is 21+ ONLY including hotel guests and wasn’t busy when I went around 7/8 pm on a Saturday. Bartenders provided great service. Would love to come back when I visit Phoenix again.

It's open seating until 9 PM on 1st and 3rd Friday. The drinks were so yummy and beautifully presented. Our server, Callie was very friendly. We had a nice big booth to ourselves. One of my favorite bars to hit downtown. Such a fun vibe. You can really tell how popular it’s gotten in recent years, which rightfully so. Inwardly I do miss having it not quite as busy, I felt a bit claustrophobic with the amount of people there last night. BUT can’t beat the price of their drinks or amount of fun it is!
The Side Car is the main event at The Ocotillo. Friendly EVERY time we went in. We thought we would change it up one of the times we visited to see how the other people lived. We tried to eat in the Ocotillo. The restaurant was completely empty and we were turned away for nooooo reservation (said in a snooty and pompous accent). So we returned to the Side Car and completely enjoyed ourselves.
Thank you to all the staff at the Side Car. Don't change a thing.

Been wanting to check this spot out for some time. Did not disappoint. Loved this place. Our kind of crowd, chill friendly vibe. Nice, old, cozy building... underground. Interesting interior with different rooms/bars. Bigger than you think it's gonna be. Stopped in mid evening, just to see what's up. Had a few drinks in The Rose Room, listening to a great, chill D.J. They offer some eats.. will try on next visit. Service is excellent! Very friendly & welcoming. Around 10pm, another D.J. in the other room started her set.. had to go check that out. Dance music! Hung out there for a long time! Love this place. May have been our first visit but not our last. Can't wait to go back! Pay parking is available in multiple areas close by.

The drinks were great but the service was extremely slow. I went here for a wedding and they were making the Bride & Groom's signature drinks, but it was taking a very long time. These drinks had 5-7 ingredients in them and when you have a wedding for 90-100 people that's going to take the entire cocktail hour, which it did.
I've worked in bars and I understand the craft that goes into making drinks, but usually at an event like this, they should be making them in bulk and pouring them like they would a beer, so that people can enjoy mingling with others and not waiting in a line. The drinks were good, but the service was slow, which makes me not want to recommend this place.

Went here for a concert, so not the usual "bar experience". However, it was super fun and unique, and reminded me of an underground speakeasy with lots of industrial styling and interesting items. Very dark and cool, a respite for the long, hot Arizona summer days. It's a little difficult to find, as the main entrance is a service door in an alley behind a bakery, but I think that's kind of the idea. Overall, good drinks, service, and music if you're there for a concert!

Great kava bar with several options of cocktails and flavors. Great strain selection on Kratom as well. Andrea was my bartender and was absolutely great. Fast service with knowledgeable suggestions on flavors and items for me to try. I will definitely be back.
Very relaxing environment. The owner and staff were knowledgeable and recommended a tea that really helped with my pain. Coming back for more.

The people that come here are easy going and nice to chat with, as well as the owners. Very community oriented group.

Such a cozy and fun spot to grab drinks and eats with friends and see a show. It’s not a big venue but that’s what I like about it - it’s intimate and has great acoustics. I was really impressed with the food menu, awesome options for bar snacks. Overall, fab spot to enjoy a night out!
Cutest little bar ever!!! The setting is gorgeous with lots of trees covered in lights. There's a stray cat who loves to cuddle with you on their couch. The drinks are unique and flavorful! This place is definitely worth a look, especially if you like well balanced craft cocktails, sorry beer drinkers. If you don't know what you want, tell the bartender your likes, taste wise and spirit wise, and something will be prepared for you! They have munchies, but best to make dinner plans elsewhere. However, if you want a great before or after dinner cocktail, this is the place!!! Definitely worth a visit!!!

I stopped by on Sunday and had a blast. The owners, Tracy and Greg were right behind the bar serving up drinks for everyone. They were very knowledgable and welcoming. If you have never tried Kava do not be reluctant to come in, the Owners will be happy to go over everything with you. Their drinks are top notch and the space is great. My husband and I really enjoyed our experience. So much we are bringing our friends back on Friday. We decided to check it out after a Suns game. We sat right by a window over looking the Sun's arena. The ambiance was perfect. The drink was delicious . The chef board was perfection for a Keto/Paleo option. If you looking for a chill/relax/romantic environment this is your place.

Two days later we are back. We brought our friends and they really enjoyed there experience. Great drinks and customer service. Looks like a manager stopped by to check in everything was going well. He even took out his phone to give more light for a great picture. Excellent excellent customer service. We will be back soon.

Update: 3 years later and we are still coming back!! Now it seems to have more of a wait. Unless you get bar seats. But worth it, so we keep coming back to this gem. Amazing drinks and service!! Does not disappoint.
