Reviews

Despite several ailments, long-running and more short-term, I feel the doctors here have worked hard to keep me moving through to my current (reasonable) state of health.
Horrific experience from start to finish, can never get an appointment for my newborn baby & the receptionist staff are absolutely horrendous like the other reviews describe.

Already looking for a new GP practice
The receptionist have gone down hill in the past 2/3 years! Really common and rude and they lie twice they have told me to fill out PATCHS even when I have told them it’s urgent and I need to speak with a doctor today! This is for my none verbal child aswell who is already struggling never mind being begrudged a cream to help with his severe eczema! I am making a formal complaint because it’s a joke to be blatant lied to twice! Don’t use PATCHS for any type of emergency. If you need to speak to a doctor on the SAME DAY this service is not for that. Maybe more training could be done with staff members who begrudge CHILDREN being able to get help from their doctor. Also try getting through from 8am… impossible! I know it’s the same everywhere but the closest you’re getting through will be 10am if you’re lucky.
I have been registered at this practise for over 60 years and find the reception staff extremely helpful. Over the years I have got to know the doctors and nurses well and would never consider changing to another surgery. My elderly parents are also looked after extremely well by the doctors at this surgery. Thank you to everyone at WHMC.
We've been with this Doctor's surgery for about 7 years now and find it much better than others I've been too. Yes it can be a struggle to get through on the telephone but when you do they deal with your issue. My little boy is always seen the same day and their online consultant form works well as I get a call back the same day with advice or an appointment. Staff and Doctors are nice and friendly.
Most of the GP's are great with a few exceptions but the receptionists are horrible. You can hear them being horrible to patients on phone, keeping them on hold pretending to help them when just chatting with each other.Trying to get an appointment is like trying to get an audience with the Pope. Receptionists always rude and arrogant, not surprisingly as they follow the practise managers example.
My husband and I have just moved to the area and I have to say that my experience with this surgery has been brilliant so far. We got registered very quickly and the girl on the reception also quickly sorted out my husband with his prescription for his inhalers as he was running out (my thanks!). Anytime I have had to go into the surgery in person, the staff have always been very helpful and professional. My husband also had to ring to see if he can get an appt to speak to a GP on a different matter. Even tho it took awhile to get through, he eventually did and got a telephone appt for the same afternoon.

I know there has been alot of negative reviews recently and I will admit I was abit sceptical about joining but to be honest I can't fault the service we have had recently, it has been 110%!
I think this practice has lost its customer focus you can’t get an appoint phones cut off when you try and call staff in reception are indifferent and too busy chatting I saw people waiting while they discussed their personal issues . I know people work hard but since the head receptionist Annie retired its gone down. When you ask to speak with the practice manager she is always off or unavailable and never calls you back . It’s a shame as I gave some very positive feedback at the last CQC inspection .
