Really kind and sincere staff. My cat had a little accident, and the team squeezed him in and got him all bandaged up. I’m so grateful for the amazing doctor and staff 🙏🏽❤️

We love city vets. They always take such good care of our corgi. We’ve come here for grooming as well, and it’s been really good. Your pup will get lots of love here!
I live in close proximity to the veterinary center and had occasion to bring my newly adopted cat there once. The staff exhibited a high level of compassion and attentiveness during my appointment, which, in my opinion, surpassed the service provided by the 'city vet' down the street. Additionally, I found their doctor to be more knowledgeable than the staff at the city vet.

However, I feel compelled to give them a one-star rating due to my recent experience. I came across an injured peacock on the street today, and not knowing how to handle the situation, I decided to take it to this veterinary center. To my dismay, they informed me that they do not provide care for birds and declined to even take a cursory look at the distressed bird. While I understand that they may not specialize in avian care, I expected a basic level of compassion, especially since they have a qualified doctor on staff. As a fellow human being, I took it upon myself to seek help for the injured bird.

Their lack of concern for the animal's welfare left me disheartened, and I had to transport the bird to a wildlife rescue center in Manhattan. I fully grasp their policy regarding non-specialized care for birds, but I believe a display of empathy was not too much to ask for. I couldn't help but think that these individuals do not genuinely care about the lives of animals, even though I was willing to cover all expenses.

Furthermore, I approached the front desk and inquired if I could have a brief discussion with the doctor about my cat that i bring here for care, who was suffering from asthma. The response I received was rather frustrating, as I was told that I needed to schedule an appointment for this matter. This seemed absurd to me.

Given these recent experiences, I am now in search of a reputable veterinary hospital that really cares about animal welfare in Long Island City with loving and caring stuff ... If anyone has any recommendations, I would greatly appreciate your input

******DO NOT VISIT***********

Words cannot describe the level of treatement I received at this establishment on November 30th 2023. This will be a complete breakdown and review of my experience, and I will never visit this place again. I also work at an international newspaper and am writing an article to warn pet owners.

I have lived in the neighborhood for four years, and I stopped by this vet at the end of 2021 or early 2022 looking to schedule teeth cleaning for my eight-year-old dog. I was told they were looking for a doctor to perform teeth cleanings and check back in six months. I regularly took my dog for vaccines and overall checks up, and the appointments were always okay—nothing outstanding, just in-and-out service, which I could appreciate.

I noticed my dog's teeth were worsening, so I took him in around September or October this year for a consultation and appointment. While I understand the doctor can only quote an accurate price once they are ready to extract, I was told that the initial teeth-clearing service would be $1,000. For anything additional, the doctor would call before extracting teeth, to which I agreed. I was given a statement indicating his teeth could go up to $3,000, and I will find out on the procedure day.

I received a phone call from the technician who explained that his teeth were in bad shape and that the dental work would cost around $3,000. I wasn't shocked and understood, but other pressing life circumstances happened, and I could no longer afford anything beyond the $1,000 teeth cleaning. I let the tech know to proceed with cleaning only.

The doctor called me back within five minutes, and the first thing she said to me, not hello, not how are you, was, "What are you doing? What is the purpose of you doing this if you can't afford to pay for everything? My mouth hit the floor. I could not believe a professional healthcare worker called me to scream about my decision on extracting or not. She shamed me for not wanting to pay, questioned why I was doing this, and said she was worried about"money." I just could not understand this behavior. I explained to her I still wanted to clean his teeth as he had never had a professional cleaning and that it was my right to make any changes. The doctor continued to cut me off, speak over me, would not listen, and kept shaming me for not spending the $3,000. She never calmed down and kept screaming to the point that I just said, please clean and hung up the phone.

About 90 minutes later, the doctor called me back and tried to give a narcissistic apology by saying, "I am sorry if YOU feel I screamed at you." So now the doctor is gaslighting me with this horrendous experience. Once again, she kept cutting me off while mid-sentence and once again kept discussing "money."

At the time of pick-up, I was ushered into a room by a front desk tech and asked to stay in the room with the door closed. Three other patients were being picked up, and none had to remain behind a closed door and wait, so why was I asked to stay in the room with the door closed? I have never been asked to wait in a room while at check-out. EVER.

I asked the front desk to have the owners call me ASAP. I was given an excuse that they were sick and would call back ASAP. This was on November 30th, and I am still waiting to receive a call from the owners.

I cannot stress if you are in the area please do not visit this place. The level of unprofessional is outstanding and for the fact the owerns have not taken the time to contact me just proves their level of professionalism. We have so many other options in the area.
They are open seven days a week, so it’s pretty easy to get an appointment. Once we arrived, it was only a shortly before we were seen by the vet tech and vet. Mine is a hell-fire cat and they both knew how to skillfully handle her to give her treatment.

I can’t recommend this place anymore. We’ve been going here for years for both grooming and veterinary care and it just seems like the experience continues to get worse, particularly with grooming. My dog has come out with cuts multiple times from their groomer and while I understand things can happen, they didn’t even bother to inform me about it or the chemical they used to stop the bleeding. If you’ve experienced the same thing, I’d encourage you to write a review here. I’m going to start taking my dog to a new veterinarian and have already started taking her to a new groomer.
Amazing staff with professional and caring. MJ started visiting here since we got him, we never thought about changing location during these time even we live in Brooklyn. We really love this place and MJ loved all the lovely employees here, especially his favorite Dr.Kulick. I really appreciate how you guys love and care about him. 🙏
Had to change my review from 3 stars to 1. The staff and doctors aren’t knowledgeable and will refer to another hospital if you ask too many questions. Or say their doctors are equipped enough to handle a simple check up or can answer my calls
Been taking my dog here for 8 years. Love Dr. Kulik is honest, transparent, cares about my dog and is mindful that Im on a budget. Generally doctors here are very knowledgeable but at times too quick to suggest more invasive/expensive procedures which sucks. Office is clean /modern/ convenient. The front desk staff is so warm & helpful. Ive tried all other vets in the area including Blue Pearl; LIC is the best!
I rarely leave reviews but after being a long time customer at LIC, I was shocked by the lack of care today. The receptionist on the phone wasn’t remotely helpful and simply said she couldn’t help us and to go to emergency clinic to have dog seen. I waited until LIC opened at 9am to see our doctor who was in and to be turned away so quickly without any care and told to go spend double the amount at an emergency clinic is shocking. The receptionist wouldn’t even ask the doctor who knows my dog. Why build rapport with a vet clinic if they aren’t there to help you when your animal is in need of being checked (he’s been acting funny a couple days)? I used to drive out of my way for LIC and we loved Dr. Kulik but the lack of care today has me sitting in a 2.5 hour wait at an emergency clinic googling new vet clinics to make a switch.
It was a terrible experience as a new resident of Long Island City,NY! After providing NYC Veterinary Group of LIC with all of the medical records for my two cats from their previous Veterinarian for their first visit at this office, I received multiple reminders of my appointment ever day for the week leading ups to the day of the appointment. The night before the actual appointment, NYC Group Representative called to say the doctor that was to see my cats would not be in and another doctor would see them but at a time 3 hours later than the original appointment time. I agreed to the new time even though my own schedule would be severely impacted. Then, on the morning of the appointment, another NYC Vet Group Representative called me to say that the doctor that was to see my cats would not be in and another doctor would be able to see them but two hours later than the rescheduled appointment. Resulting in a Five Hour change in time of our original appointment!!! NYC Veterinary Group clearly has no respect for the time of their clients!! This was the most egregious abuse of a clients time I have ever experienced in my more than 45 years as a pet owner! I could not in good conscious give them another opportunity to abuse my time. I could not trust such a group to care for my animals!!
I have taking my cat to this vet place for almost 3 years. The service is great they seem to care about my cat and his health. The prices here are not too bad as long as your animal doesn't need any major surgery. The doctor office seems clean. I hope they keep up the good service here for my cat 😺

I have been bringing my doggy to city vet for years. Always professional, kind, Patient and they fully explain everything. I also use their grooming services. Shout out to the groomer who deals with my dog because I know it isn’t easy. As friendly as he is, he is hyper. I really love this place ❤️

The entire staff is incredible. We took our 3 month old fur baby in for her vaccines. They just loved her up from the moment we walked in for our appointment. Very caring, nurturing, and extremely knowledgeable. I always have a lot of questions because, I love my fur baby and want to know the ins & outs of her care. They took the time to address everything and then some with our Remi. I look forward to a continued long relationship with City Vet.

My dog has been coming here since early 2021, and this is the best vet office I've ever brought my dogs to in New York. It's been so stressful because my dog has been having so many health issues due to her age that we've been here around 16 times between February and September, but they've done such an impressive job at helping her. My dog normally has Dr. Acaron who is great at explaining everything clearly and being candid about what to expect. From fire exposure to diarrhea to liver issues to UTIs to teeth cleaning, they've been able to give my dog really good care. In fact, my dog is turning 17 in just about two weeks and was able to do a very successful teeth cleaning which is amazing. It took months to get her to the health she needed to be in to go under anesthesia, but Dr. Acaron made sure we were able to take all steps necessary to achieve that level of health. I love that Dr. Acaron always gives us every possible option that can improve my dog's quality of life like hiring a dog nutritionist or considering cataract surgery for a senior dog. The previous vet we had never suggested these things, which is a surprise since at one point, I had 3 senior dogs at the same time. The other people who work here are also really nice to my dog. We've also had Dr. Witter once who was also very informative and kind.
