Next is usually a great store, but the manager at this location was terrible. There was an issue with the Girls 6-12 section, as the section banner was not displayed vividly. The manager was not willing to help. Later, when I returned to the section, I found the right section and saw many t-shirts available for ages 7-12. I decided not to shop there and will visit other brands or centres instead.

Went in at 17:18 a few weeks ago and knew exactly what I wanted. The store didn’t have my size and they were insisting the XL fit me but it didn’t at all it was too big on me. So I reluctantly picked up a different CP jumper but by the time I had tried it on and got to the till it was 17:31 (no fault of my own but the stores for not having my size). The manager, Nas, then started shouting at me saying the store closes at 17:30 and essentially kicked me out. He is a disgrace and needs disciplinary action immediately. Having looked at other reviews it is clear he is the problem. Will never return so long as that man is there.

Filthy unclean changing rooms. Alerted duty manageress who blamed lazy cleaners and management neglect. Basic lack of respect for people is why Wolves City Centre has deteriorated.

Customer service is quite poor. I could not wait to leave the store nor did I feel comfortable in there. I felt like they was looking down on me all the way round I had to leave so refused to spend anymore money in here.
They was watching us like a hawk while me and my friend walked round the store. The lady at Dior counter just looked at me as though I wasn't there. And proceeded to greet and help other customers although I travelled for a specific item I knew exactly what I wanted.i can't see this store lasting very long treating customer this way. Its funny that they looked down at me and made time for the ones that fitted into there category like they was going to purchase but didn't. And I did dont judge its book by its cover! I will take my custom else where in future don't go in unless you dressed all fancy and act posh I mean it's in wolverhampton not the best place to visit anyway .

Online orders are shambles. Parcels received with missing items. Text messages received saying item is ready to collect from store. Get to store, items are not there. Customer service call centre is outside the UK !! Last but not least older Indian woman at till downstairs long dyed black hair St Johns Wolverhampton store is rude & miserable.

There’s a women in there asain, miserable looking completely been rude towards me. Her name Tina. I must say she’s been abusive towards me and manipulative. The way she puffs her breath at me and most recently trying to spit in Costa when I last saw her. Honestly it’s rude how she thinks it’s ok but honestly if it happens to her I’m sure she be stressing out thinking it’s not ok. So don’t do it plus she’s pretending to care when she’s being completely abusive. It’s disgusting plus her breath wasn’t nice so my advice is to stop because it will put a lot of people off. I know she was making the poeple upstairs in Costa uncomfortable before. I hope she realises it’s not on. You can see the insecurities in her eyes and face. I’ve seen it for myself the way she gets jealous looking at other girls. Not right for person to be working there. Wishing bad on me like she has every right too. I’ve blocked her social media as she was trying to get to personal in my space and always watching my move which was scary. The rest of the staff there are lovely and welcoming but her I don’t trust. Because of that it’s put me of coming back.

I love mostly the coffee that they sell, you can buy clothes and drink some nice warm hot chocolate. I reccomend this a lot as I go here at least 2 times a week.

Didn't deserve any stars as really poor service within a week my daughter could only get a credit note or exchange!!! Even though she had been advised to buy n try n she felt awkward so bought them n tried within half n hour of purchase!!! Rude arrogant n they were 2 long so not fit for purpose of trousers that should stop at ankles!!!! 2nd time my son in law tried to get a refund yet only offered the same ....well last time I read statutory rights it stated if faulty then should give refund if requested disgusting for supposedly a reputable high street shop non of our family will be going there again n I will spread the word ...plus I will go to matalan or primark where they will gladly give refund if not right so they deserve my loyalty !!!!

Very unhappy with store manager and disgusted with level of help (or lack of) from them. Generally just disgusted with the customer service and communication Flannels Wolverhampton give.
Came in to store to buy a 50th birthday present for my sister 29th October and decided to come to Wolverhampton as more local to us vs Birmingham. Found a pair of YSL heels for £800 which we were happy to buy (as store customer helper was very nice and friendly). Proceeded with purchase until at the desk identified the box that it was to be given to us was damaged. Asked to speak with store manager to determine options as could not give this as a present the way it looked. Explained we were not happy to give this damaged box as a gift, thus asked whether there were any others, was told no. Asked about whether it could be placed in a Flannels box instead but was told abruptly and rather rudely, there was no discount that was given on the shoes (we did not ask for any), and that he was not prepared to give a flanels box unless we paid for it in full. Frankly, felt that the tone and mannerisms he showed was incredibly disgusting and disrespectful. We were about to purchase an extremely expensive pair of shoes but we were made to feel that it did not matter and that if we did not like the box, then we could simply not buy them. This is precisely what we did; we walked away ashamed that this was the type of custom one gets in Wolverhampton Flannels and it’s no wonder why shopping in Wolverhampton is never advised. It might have taken us an hour on top of the hour we wasted coming to Flannels Wolverhampton, but we travelled to Birmingham Selfridges and ended up buying a pair of Jimmy Choos instead (where the service and communication was far superior on every level). It is clear why people prefer to travel further for a better level of service, positive experience and general appreciation for your custom. My sister was grateful for he JC’s but for me and my wife, the journey and experience was one to forget overall. As a result, we WILL NOT be shopping nor spending our money in Flanels Wolverhampton and would not be recommending it to anybody neither.

I selected an item that was clearly priced at £155.00 on the price tag. When I got to the till to make my payment, the cashier said it was £160. I asked to speak to the store manager, I politely told him the price tag clearly says £155.00. he said he couldn't do anything about it and I needed to pay £160.00 if I wanted to buy it! I asked if he could honour the price on the price tag, He said NO. surely you can not price mark something and decide to charge extra at the checkout!!! outrageous! obviously, I didn't buy it as I think this is completely illegal and Flannels need to clearly train their staff on improving customer service skills.

I’ve had varying degrees of customer service here. The lady who runs the MAC stand wasn’t very forthcoming when I was standing waiting to be served. When she did finally acknowledge my presence. She then handed me over to her junior who was slightly more helpful. The man on the Bobby Brown stand was alot more in the know about customer service. In other departments it seems the sales staff are tad slow to approach too. I was only perusing but that isn’t the point. I am sure they (the owners) want to make sales and I wonder how they do so given the current level of customer service I’ve witnessed on the few times I’ve been in the store outside of what I’d call peak shopping times. That said, on my last visit I was helped by a lovely women who helped me pick out something from the Laura Mercier sale rack. She was delightful and kind. I explained I had a limited budget of gifted birthday money to spend and she was very helpful in helping me pick out a shade. I didn’t get her name but she was wearing a lovely hijab. And she was a great advertisement for good makeup as hers was flawless.

Lovely atmosphere lovely food. Just the soft drinks prices too expensive. No need to raise the prices to that extent. Over £3 for a coke. Unfortunately due to that we won't be back.

Great little store beats going to the one near Halfords(Bilston). Tidy, clean and organised, great prices. Generally the staff are great but then I come across top boys finest from the chervil rise estate..LEVI! I don’t know what recruitment were thinking going the process with this one, little fur on his head! He’s so road it’s unbelievable no please no thanks like what’s all that about? Customer service is number one..Matalan you need to investigate the recruitment team as clearly Levi is giving a lot more than his cv to them! Not difficult to do your job LEVI!

Great experience with Sonya on MAC, really made me feel comfortable as im a make up novice and gave great advise and even showed me on how to apply the make up correctly. She allowed me to try it on myself whilst talking me through. She was very patient with me throughout the whole process and gave me some great tips.
She even noted down step by step for me.
I left alot more confident than when I started. Shes absolutely lovely.

Female manager is very rude and standoffish. She was reluctant to inform me correctly of the complaints procedure. I have since spoke with merry hill flannels who have also stated they receive nothing but bad feedback constantly for the Wolverhampton store. I will be following up the complaint at Merry hill to take this further.

I have to be honest, I went into Flannels with the preconceived idea that the staff would be rude, given all the previous reviews.
My intention was to try a trainer on for size, (Flannels were the only stockists nearby), but leave and order it on line from another stockist.
I have to speak as I find and I have to say that the lady who served me could not have been more helpful. She was attentive and fetched various sizes and styles until I was happy. Her name was Joanna and after this experience I would not hesitate to return.

Clothes tend to be hit & miss here. Like how they have a petite range at the back of the store. Albeit not much of a selection it's still nice to see. Changing rooms are always available which I like and service is average wait time. Staff always seem okay and friendly.

Shop is in the corner on the top floor of the Manda centre, it has easy access for wheelchairs & pushchairs. There is a good selection of clothes. The shop is clean & tidy & well stocked.
The staff are friendly. There was a short wait at the till which the staff member apologised for. Very competitive prices & nice quality clothes.

Most unorganised, incompetent staff I’ve ever come across. Waited in the queue to be served by a human for just over 5 minutes as the self checkout was rammed. Woman working on the till was ridiculously slow, there were 2 other people behind the counter just pratting about. When I was eventually called over to the till, the woman asked if I was paying cash or card, I said card so her response was “well you need to use the self checkout we don’t accept card payments here” there was a card machine at the till!!! The lady at the self checkout was nice but what’s the point in having a member of staff to scan your items at the SELF CHECKOUT? I then left the shop and wanted to swap one of my items and purchase another item, this time I was allowed to pay for my item at the till (with card) because I was making a return??? Doesn’t make any sense. Same dopey woman served me, asked me 3 times within 5 minutes if I wanted a bag after I’d already said yes twice. Incompetent staff, ridiculous payment system.

Love experience in Next today, the atmosphere was peaceful and easy to shop, the staff are so lovely and polite. I love the Apoh Vincent Van Gogh clothing line! It's become a staple in my wardrobe!

I had been gifted an item I was wishing to return, but unfortunately it was 1 day out of the returns policy date. The manager was called, she was unwilling to honour a credit note, so instead, my husband and I had to wonder around the store trying to force myself to like something enough to exchange it - even then, she acted as though she was 'doing me a favour' by honouring me the opportunity to exchange it as it was up her discretion. The issue here, isn't about the pressure to have to repurchase something almost instantly - it was the manner in which the situation was handled and the attitude of said manager - i hadn't committed a crime, i was just 1 day out of the returns policy....

Unfortunately, the staff feel they are in a position of power over their customers in this store. If you use the power of discretion to judge your customers, treat them unfairly and not maintain a level of consistency across the plethora of customers you face - whether age, race, wealth or occupation, you do not deserve to be placed in this position in the first place. Head office have since received a formal complaint against the specific staff member or 'manager', and it's unfortunate, but having too previously worked in retail, think it's unacceptable that customers can be treated this way.

I had made a number of online orders to the store. After receiving confirmation of all the orders being in store, we went to collect. At the store, only one of the orders were given to us. We were told that the orders had already been collected. When we said we hadn't collected any orders, we were told to ring Matalan helpline. We proceeded to do that and we were told an investigation would take place and that we would be informed of the results. I was emailed 2 days later with the only response being a repetition of what the store had told me which showed me no such investigation had taken place.

Update: The items were eventually found at the stores after a second visit and a request to check despite the computer system stating the orders were collected. Also, customer services refunded one of the missing orders.
I had the worst experience the staff are rude and act as though you are beneath them and they aren't there to serve you. I had to chase a lady down who was acting like she was trying to avoid me they had loads of workers but none are available when the shop was empty they insulted me by asking me if I had enough money to pay because I needed to insert my card! I would rather travel to Birmingham to make purchases
instead of going into my local it's like they are trying to aggravate you or they don't want your money they don't deserve jobs with attitudes like that some people would jump to work there and they would do an amazing job and make alot more money for the business you should fire your staff and start over! If I could I would give no stars it's a disgrace!

Staff aren’t very friendly. Was waiting by the changing rooms for about 5 minutes and no one acknowledged us, a couple of members of staff kept walking past me just staring and not saying anything. I’ve noticed this is a reoccurring thing with staff who work in Wolverhampton retail shops.

There is parking slots near to it free of charge.

A great shopping experience in Flannels Wolverhampton today. As somebody who NEVER gets good service in luxury stores as I look young I had a fantastic experience. All of the staff I can across were welcoming and polite.
The sales associate helping me today Raj was amazing. Very informative, helpful, polite and made the experience effortless :) Thank you so much.
Will definitely be back in the near future.

One of the larger New Look stores, I've had stuff orderd to collect here, but also shopped here for years. It is all on one level that I like, there are plenty of changing rooms and easy to get to in center and outside.

What a very popular clean well stocked and well positioned shop to have in Wolverhampton. Very up market but items all of good quality. The staff when asked for assistance are more then ready to help. The staff seem to have been well trained which is a bonus. There is stock for all sizes and all stock is very up to date. Colours sizes and availability is very good. Once you've made your way to the checkouts you are sure that the items you have chosen are going to be the right things for you. Long may this store last in Wolverhampton as you have lot's of choice.

Not sure what's going on with this new look at the moment. When you go in the clothes are just everywhere and not displayed neat. Feels like you're walking into a jumble sale. I've saw charity shops organised more efficiently
