I have been a loyal Anthropologie customer, but my recent experiences at this store have been incredibly frustrating.
I called ahead to extend a hold on an item, and the employee assured me it would be done. When I arrived, the item was nowhere to be found. After some back and forth, the store manager finally located it in a completely different section. The disorganization was shocking and showed a lack of proper management or supervision.
This wasn’t the first issue. On a previous visit, an employee mishandled my gift card, pressing too hard during processing and damaging it. I had to go through a lengthy process to resolve this with the company.
These repeated mistakes reflect poor management and inadequate training. It’s disappointing because I love Anthropologie's products, but the lack of customer care and efficiency is making me reconsider shopping here.

This is the highlight of my trip to University Village, always!! Some find the organization of Anthro to be confusing but I actually like it; you can wander around and find interesting things in little nooks. I will also say that this Anthro is the most social I’ve ever been to; I almost always have a great conversation with other people trying things on, help style one another. I love the fitting rooms. They feel high end with great light and mirrors. The sale section is also large with the dresses highlighted in the middle. For buying, the rule with Anthro is if it’s the best dress ever and I can’t walk away I’m buying it on the spot. If it’s good but I can wait, there will be a sale for sure. Sale on sale would be occasionally 40 percent off 40 and that would be taking a bit of a risk about whether your size will still be available. The app is worth getting to bookmark your favourites and track sales. The return policy is pretty decent, just remember that sale on sale is likely final sale, but regular sale is not. I love this Anthropologie!

I bought several items of clothing here a bit ago (various pieces from the ‘80s). I’ve shopped at vintage shops in many cities and countries. The selection/curation here is praiseworthy. Everything I looked at was in great condition. And the prices are reasonable. The layout and ambiance of the shop is welcoming. The staff member was friendly. When it’s time to shop again, I’ll definitely be back.

Went to get a sweater as a gift and saw that it said it was available in store at U Village. I asked a floor person if they could grab it for me/show me where it is, and they told me they can't because "it's in a box in the back somewhere." Like okay so go get it?

I love Jill’s taste level, especially her attention to detail in the quality and specifically the sensuality of her fabric choices. Her clothing feels even better than it looks on you. Her employees have always been such sweet and stylish young ladies, and have always treated me like gold. They are extremely helpful, without getting in your way as you shop. I highly recommend visiting Horseshoe if you find yourself in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. Kate Connors *professional traditional North American leathersmith

Beautiful selection and well organized! I wish there were more size-inclusive pieces however I understand in the vintage-realm those can be challenging to curate.

Staff is always warm & welcoming! Love the product they carry. Excellent displays.

I have to give a shout out to the employees working 5/7! I was trying to get a replacement for a Wedding registry item as 1 of the bowls was shipped broken. They tried to look up in system and even took time in the back trying to find it. They were so kind and tried so hard to replace the broken bowl. I really appreciated the effort and kindness! Amazing customer service!

Absolutely love Horseshoe Boutique. I’ve been shopping there for 7 years and always have found the perfect pieces, in a very comfortable and welcoming setting. Still have and wear the pieces I bought 7 years ago, the ones I bought 2 years ago, and excited for the items I bought today.

The clothes here were all super cute! I didn't end up buying anything because I am really tall and everything I liked they didn't have in stock in a large. However, the women working in this shop were so so nice! They asked what we were up to and we started talking about how we were on vacation so one woman wrote down a bunch of recommendations on places we should check out. They did not disappoint! We really appreciated the kind service even when we didn't buy anything. Thank you for helping making our vacation even more enjoyable! This is true customer service.

I love Horseshoe so very much! They are the kindest stylists and their selection of beautiful clothes and accessories is the very best, period! I highly recommend shopping here, often. Outstanding boutique in all ways and very special to my heart!

Horseshoe is one of my very favorite gems in Ballard! Every single one of the gals who work there are incredibly sweet, helpful, and stylish. As a fashion industry lady myself, I appreciate their extensive knowledge of fit and styling for body shape. While they have encouraged me to try things I may never have picked out for myself (to my delight, as I have taken home and loved MANY of these recommendations!), I have never once felt pressured at all while I’m shopping. The experience is always positive, safe, comfortable, laid back, and of course, fun. I love the genuine enthusiasm for fashion.
The buyers are exceptionally talented and thoughtful with the products and brands they source. It’s so fun to see the new treasures they have brought into the store each week - always something fresh to see. I get so many compliments on the unique pieces I find at Horseshoe, and I just love to tell people where I found them. Bonus: it always smells like Hawaii in there, I even bought the gardenia perfume they spritz around the store!

This is such a great store.
Some of my favorite clothing came from my grandmother- who's a well-traveled artist with a great, classic sense of style. She has beautiful pieces, some dating back to the 20s, that she's taken incredible care of. Shopping here feels just like going through her closet.

I am a visitor to USA and was strolling Ballard. I was drawn in to your store by the name and the window displays. What a find 💚. Firstly, the styling in the store is amazing - I loved the way clothes are put together and displays layed out. Secondly, the staff! Immediately welcoming. And even though I was just looking I was made very welcome. I work in retail, and you can immediately tell a genuine welcome and someone who loves their job and is very good at what they do. The staff even recommended a place to have lunch nearby, and it was so good that I had to pop back in to Horseshoe to say thanks for the recommendation!! The clothes are gorgeous, I saw lots of things that if I wasn’t travel and on a budget I would happily add to my wardrobe. Thanks for a lovely experience x

Whoever curates the clothing has amazing taste! I love unique vintage pieces in quality fabrics and although this store has a rather small selection I always find something good.

Modern basics with flair. When I'm looking for something versatile, a piece I'll wear a lot but has a little oomph to it that sets it apart....I come to Horseshoe. I love this store!!! I make special trips from Tacoma just to come here.
Horseshoe has a great mix of core pieces with popping colors and prints for the season. Decent size range... though like most stores I think they could carry more units of larger sizes (call me greedy).
Beautifully laid out, with a fabulous staff. Latest staff shout out: thank you Rachel for seeing if you could get me a cardigan and calling about a skirt. You're amazing!!

One of our favorite stores in U-Village. The quality and uniqueness of the products always make for a fun "browse." Staff are very helpful and polite as well.

My wife loves this store, area is clean and free of street people. Parking is free and safe. Company should make this your main flagship store, expand it by taking over the vacant H& M store next to it and close downtown store, safer for everyone.

I love the Lucky Vintage on the ave and finally made it into this location. I found a beautiful silk dress from the 60’s that I adore. It was $50 which is a decent price for great quality vintage. They have a mix of high end and low end pieces. Some designer that you have to ask to see. The person who checked us out was the most lovely and gentle soul. I am giving this experience four stars because the lighting in this store is so dim that I could barely see if the dress I was buying was red of fuchsia. I thought I lived like a mole, going about my days with only the light of a lamp or candle feeling but this store had me second guessing my sight! A few more lights in the back would really make a difference! That being said I will still return, just maybe with a flashlight.

This is by far my favorite vintage clothing shop in Seattle. I’ve been consistently shopping here for many years and it’s a rare occasion that I don’t walk out the door without purchasing something. The owners and clerks are kind people who have a thorough knowledge and passion for vintage. It’s been so lovely to see them get the recognition from the larger vintage community in the US and to see them grow to have a large online presence. I hope they stay around for many years. A mix of pricing starting from $20 up but all super reasonable for the care they put into their selection. They have the cutest selection of kids/babies clothes that *warning* may cause baby fever.

I ordered some bandanas from Revival Shop Seattle. They were the only folks I could find who had specifically what I was looking for. I wanted something made in America from 100% natural cotton and in a very specific pattern, and Revival had just that at very competitive prices. I should also add that I made my order after store hours.
The very next day, as soon as they opened, I received an email from the owner herself. She reached out to apologize and explain that an item that was listed in stock at a certain quantity was only available in a lesser quantity. I bought multiples of this item, mind you.
The owner made every effort to ensure I was informed of the situation and to make it right. She offered me solutions, up to and including a full refund right then and there, and sincerely asked how we could move forward in the best manner for me, the customer.
We got everything straight with a couple emails and my items were headed my way that very same day. They arrived promptly and were packaged with class and care.
I gave Revival a shot and I am very glad I did. They are focused on customer service and run their business with integrity and a helpful attitude. They even tossed in a cool sticker for my locker at work, which I greatly appreciate. I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant buying experience and will gladly buy from them again.

This small shop has so many amazing goodies packed into it! I had a really hard time deciding what I wanted. I’ll definitely be back! The clerk was friendly and helpful when I wanted to see something. I guess I understand why people would feel watched; it’s a very small space with expensive (deservedly so) jewelry and items. But I didn’t feel like they hovered and were the same level of attentive to other people that came in.

Every time I come in here, I feel watched and uncomfortable. I wouldn’t come if it weren’t for the interesting fabrics and decor items. Others in the comments have mentioned this feeling of unease, and it is clear that the shop has an inconsistent record of how they treat customers. The clothing items are somewhat reasonably priced for Cap Hill standards but the jewelry is overpriced (“locally made” but very similar to what you can find 10 other shops on Etsy selling).

Cool store, but unfortunate staff encounter tonight. Would like to shop there again, but not interested in being asked to move to accommodate her because she can’t figure out how to go around me. I’m not small but my money spends the same. It’s ok to take four extra steps to go one aisle over and not vocalize that I’m interfering in your stocking. It was one item…not a dolly stacked with boxes for goodness sakes. Finally asked if I was bothering her because it kept happening and just left. Felt so unwelcome. Will just enjoy window shopping so as to keep her aisles clear of my presence for efficient stocking capabilities.

I absolutely love this place. I pop in to this cozy vintage shop whenever I am out and about on Ballard Ave. The other day I truly left wearing an entirely new outfit - pants, sweater, and heels. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Revival is my favorite place to shop! Ashley carries the most unique and beautiful items, from home decor to jewelry and amazing vintage consignment pieces. Not only that, most if not all of her jewelry and home decor are handmade by local artisans. She clearly takes great pride in choosing the coolest pieces. I do a lot of my gift shopping here, but honestly end up keeping it for myself half the time.
This shop is an absolute must when you’re looking for special gifts that you can’t find anywhere else, or if you’re like me, all for yourself!

I love Revival! I've been shopping here since the shop was upstairs when they first opened and love it. They stock cute vintage clothing (some newer and local designers too), local artisans and tons of jewelry. Shops like this make the city special because they are a community spot. Love them, check them out for a gift or treats for yourself.

Revival is such a sweet little shop. It’s great for gifts or shopping for yourself. It is filled with a lovely selection of current consigned and vintage clothing, locally made perfumes, pillows, and unique jewelry in a variety of price ranges. Cute inexpensive sunglasses, too :-) And Ashley, the owner, is very friendly and kind. Plus I hear they’re about to have their online shop up and running soon, so you can shop without leaving your house!

It is a second-hand clothing store, really vintage stuff, they have very cool shirts, pants, accessories, etc. For men and women, they also have very nice old wedding dresses, prices vary there are economical and expensive clothes.

I like this place especially when they have deals!
Unfortunately, sometimes items showing available in-store usually aren't always.
Also as a regular, it's very clear some Associates actually offer customer service. Others don't! Especially those at checkout. You can always see the selective customer service if you look the part!🤷🏾♀️

Love this place. Everything is in mint condition and was made before "fast fashion" became a thing. Their prices are comparable to buying new, but the stuff you get is more unique, fashionable, and constructed better than you'll find at a place like Macy's or Nordstrom. I want my clothes, from shirts to pants to ties to belts, to be classy, subtle, and be good conversation starters that reflect my personality instead of what a corporate buyer that me and 10k other men would want to wear. I've found so many great items here that I dont feel the need to shop for "new" clothes any more.

I always go to Anthropologie stores just to see what they carry for that location. I love this store and they had a good selection of clothing and light on home goods. Nice area to shop at the University Village
