One of the best museums I have ever visited in Sweden. Lot’s of war planes are displayed there and very informative for kids also. Kids love this place. A must visit place if you are travelling to Gothenburg.

I enjoyed the visit very much. The staff are kind, the bunker is amazing and all the planes, helicopters, all vehicles in general and also the stands are very interesting. I especially liked the stories of the different models and the units exposed. 100% recommendable.

Good for the air enthusiasts and who would like to know the flight and jet’s world. Also history of war and how would you survive in case of war in the bunkers. Flight simulators were more like playing at home in front of projector with joy sticks. Where this can have improved experience with science and technology which is not the case so from my point of view it needs improvement. Also the attendant should be more aware about how the flights works. More education and guidance so that flight pilots aspirants would learn and get the live experience. Rest is average. Would say one time visit 😊

The best museum I've ever been to. U can see there a lot of different kinds of planes, helicopters etc.
There is also an opportunity to buy a flight in a simulator. I chose A 300 Airbusimulator. The instructor was really friendly. He has a lot of experience and knowledge- he teaches with patience and without judging. So if it's your first time- don't hesitate- go!

As a tourist from India, the Aeroseum is a must see place at Sweden. There weren’t much tourists on the weekday I visited . A stunning museum under the rocks! A surprise to me. The security was friendly and share the story of how they dig the cave during ww2 and how they changed to museum. A fantabulous experience. Though I missed simulator due to lack of time. The cafeteria was good too with some souvenirs to buy!

Really worth the money!
It’s an old underground bunker/military base and already this makes it very special.
You can also sit inside some of the planes.

Super interesting!

As avid board gamers & console gamers, we found the World of Games exhibition fascinating. Never before have I seen artefacts from current day (eg Warhammer, Monopoly, League of Legends) displayed alongside historic artefacts. This weaves the passions of the visitors in with the story of the history and social function of gaming that is being told. The exhibition is highly interactive which massively engaged my son. Highly recommend!
Another good museum in the city. Easy to go through it. They have got a restaurant with warm food and also as a snack so it's up to you. It's well organised and could be interesting for the kids as well. I think I would say from 5 years and up. Of course they have a restroom and a souvenir shop. They have got such a nice offer to pay the entrance fee once and it's valid for a year. During the cold weather spending time here specially with the young ones could be a fun day

Very small and oriented on kids. Many interactive buttons, stands, things to see and touch, things to colour, etc. For an adult - less so interesting - and one room was without a light when we came there, no one was around to ask to turn it on, and it didn't turn on on its own.

This is one of the best places we visited in Sweden. ✈️ The Aeroseum is an amazing underground hangar, previous airbase in the middle of a field out of nowhere. If you enjoy fighter aircraft, making the decision to come here is a great one. Be prepared to allow at least half a day to stay. After almost an hour by bus to get here we confusingly walked down the path to meet 2 c-130 bodies and then a little stall where you can buy tickets. Beyond that is the hill that the hangar is H I D I N G in. if you are interested, you can fly a JA37 flight simulator, a piper simulator and if you are lucky and the instructor is there, an A310 simulator, please contact before visiting to check out the simulator options. There is a small cafeteria inside. There is a small airport nearby: Säve airport. The airport has helicopters which from the outside you can view from atop the hill. If you are into food and fashion, but not planes this is a no-go.
Nice culture museum and the best part is the world’s game collection. Very fun to play with kids!

After living in Gothenburg for five years, I finally took the opportunity to visit the city museum. It was well worth a trip and we found the exhibits to be very interesting and well presented. Maybe less interesting if you’re just passing through the city? But definitely great for people who know the area and who love local history.
4000 years of history. Really fascinating visit of Göteborg city all through ages. Exhibition is rich and full of games and quizz for little ones to make the visit fun and interactive. Really worth to take time
This museum was way larger than expected, a great hall filled with all kinds of wonderful devices and gizmos, focusing on radio technology. They have areas for working on your own projects for members and sell tubes and other components to fix your own radios at home. Truly a wonderful place!
This was absolutely amazing before they did the renovation. Now it feels a bit empty and underwhelming. A lot of items are gone and the beautiful recreations of the old surgical room and a dentists office doesn't exist anymore. Old photos are also gone from the walls. The place has lost it's charm. It's sad to say but it was much better prior to the renovation.
Visited the Gothenburg City Museum on a quiet Saturday morning. They offer a choice of single-entry or year-long passes covering four Gothenburg museums for SEK 130. It's important to note that the year-long ticket is valid until December 31st. The museum provides a concise history of Gothenburg from Viking ships to the Volvo era, making it a must-visit for newcomers. Families will appreciate the kids' play area, and there's a souvenir shop worth exploring.
The museum has some interesting things, but where a lot of museums have interactive parts nowadays, this museum is beautiful but a bit static. The Play-exhibition was okay, and it was nice to try some things out, but some of the information was a bit longwinded. Same for the exhibitions on floor 3 and 4.

Very nice museum, especially for electronic lovers. It has a huge different type of old electronic stuffs that some of them still working! It opens 3 hours each day that definitely is not enough to see all things!
With a highly experienced staffs that you can talk with them in detail about how the devices were working.
Visited two exhibitions, one suitable for children (världens spel) and one not (ultras). Nice open areas, plenty of different exhibits offering a range of experiences and varying degrees of interactivity. Cafe was nice, first place we've managed to successfully order in Swedish.
They display samples from the development of the modern Swedish health care system with placards and pictures. Some medical tools from the past are displayed. The museum is not big, but it contains some goodies for people with some insight in medicine
Very good museum. Excellent Neolithic and Viking sections. There is also periods right up to 19th century.

A bit hard to recognize from outside this museum is a great collection of radios and things that connect to communication in general. If you're interested in this stuff, this is a must see. Stuff is very friendly and happy to answer questions or show equipment in action. If you ever wanted to try Morse code, here is the place to do so as well. Thanks for making this collection accessible to the public. 73 de Tom, DG5CW
Excellent environment. Everything is well explained and displayed. Student and kids entry is free. Can spend upto 2 hours easily

Interesting small museum about the history of medicine, particularly in Gothenburg and Sweden. The entrance on the street is not especially obvious, but the opening hours online are correct.

Most of the large boards had English translations in a smaller font. They were somewhat clunkily written in the present tense. The displays of artefacts did not have English translations and the audio and video were in Swedish only.

As the entrance price is a modest SEK 50, it's worth a visit if you're interested in medical / health matters.
Nice museum with currently very interesting and fact rich exhibition about the Vikings. We enjoyed learned more about the Swedish and neighbouring countries prehistoric period.
A good value experience. Thorough history of Gotenburg and interesting collection of the social evidence through clothing, furniture, paintings and text to give the story.

Really enjoyed seeing the mechanical calculator and the basement display had a magic to it.

Of course the Viking ship was great to see, and surrounded by artifacts and quotes from the sagas.

Very satisfying couple of hours in the museum.

Amazing experience! Would highly recommend to visit for those who are interested in engineering or do enjoy 60-80s vibe! Lots of radios, TVs, military tech, testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.). There are also quite a few entertainment gadgets - Morse coding, spark machine, theremin... You can also buy there electronics journals from 80s! Can pay by card.
Nothing interesting for adults apart from games exhibitions where you can spend time playing. The Museum has very limited exhibitions and its name is really misleading. Bigger part of space is dedicated to children or families. I’d never pay for getting in.

This was one of the few places I had an opportunity to visit in Gothenburg. It met all my expectations, a place to store my backpack which was free, clean bathrooms, and great/informative exhibits. For the viking stuff the designers really tried to construct a dark vibe, which was a nice touch.

The collection is huge! Tons of radios from different times. Also a complete explanation of the evolution of radio communications in history. Definitely worth visiting, and a must go for radio enthusiasts.
Pretty nice place to learn, relax and enjoy diversity around the world!

A wonderful place for someone interested in the evolution of technology especially radios. They have radios from every era from commercial to military etc. Highly recommended for Engineering students.
Very nicely decorated museum. They payed a lot of attention to the decoration and creating an atmosphere. I personally very much liked the viking room.

Entry is free with a student ID. Great museum with a great collection, not too many people and relatively quiet. Well laid out with no backtracking. I spent two hours here.
Man this joint was rad.

My Gothenburg native friend (shout out to him!) told me I should visit this joint. He was right. Heck he is always right.

Get some kids and go learn and have fun at the same time homie. You will love it!
Super fun, informative, a real family museum, cool games and good food (no fast food).

Lovely museum with an incredible collection. They take you through the era from the very beginning of radio communication and broadcasting, up to around the 70-80's. There are civilian radios of many kinds, military, aeroplane and ship equipment, teletext terminals, and early TV's. The staff is super friendly. I recommend a visit if you have any bit of enthusiasm for radio, or analog in general.
The place is very organised, well thought out, simple and relaxing. If you are just looking for a calm, learn and see new outtakes of culture then you should definitely come here.

But the main star for me was their food buffé. Tasted really well. Fresh and spiced/cooked well. The price was low because I ate aaaalot..
True to its name, we had the chance and pleasure to check out the current exhibition, which is about México, with some absolutely beautiful exhibits. Everything was very nicely presented, so I would definitely recommend this museum. Staff was really welcoming and helpful and besides the museum, I really loved the variety of what's on offer in the museum shop. Last, but not least, the lunch buffet looked amazing!!!
Gothenburg, Sweden: Museum of world culture- This time it was all about Mexico, Beautiful and elaborated explanations, good old master pieces from all over the world showcasing cultures, beliefs, struggles, Ruling, Rulers, experiences what not? If you are an enthusiast to know more about world cultures Do Visit Museum of World Culture, Posting few pics taken here, Happy Weekend folks!!

Impressions on health and sickness have evolved over time, which comes across in the museum's exhibition of authentic tools and recreated wards.

Small Museum but stuffed with items, friendly and talkative staff.
Fina foton, priser, utrustning mm.
Nice little museum about the history of medicine in Gothenburg and in general. The museum is small, but there's quite a lot of information in each room, accompanied by various pictures and displayed items. I especially liked the last room about the history of psychiatry through the years. As I've mentioned there's a lot of information so to get the most out of this museum you must be willing to read quite a bit while you're there. You can tell a lot of effort went into the displays.
Rörigt och mycket på en liten yta.

It is a nice place for Morning or Evening walk just by the side of chirping water and fresh air with some scenic views and old beautiful ship structures.
Nice place, very interesting. Signs are only in Swedish.
