Eventhough, the accessable area inside the castle is smaller than expected, it was lovely. The paintings, architecture and the atmosphere, have you travel back in time and experience those times.
Combined ticket is 13 and audio guide is 3.5 euro.

Beautiful palace. However, you need to really get there in the first half of the day so you can experience the whole palace we went at about 3:00 p.m. awaited in line for about 40 minutes and when we got to the check-in desk they told us that they don't have tickets for the full Palace as they are closing at around 5:00 p.m. so we're only able to buy tickets for whatever they thought would be enough time for us to visit. There are also audio guides in several languages which you can take and start the tour on your own since they are allowing only a certain amount of people to enter at once. It is really not getting crowded inside. So you can really take your pictures and selfies without many people in the background. I do recommend however planning an earlier visit on the day. Also keep in mind that there are no online tickets so you have to go there to check whether they are open.
Beautiful place, there is so much to see. Recommended visit time to Residenz + Palace is 2 hours I think but if you want to listen to every point from audio guide, included in the price of ticket with different languages, it can take even more time but visit is toootally worth it. During winter time there is also super charming Christmas Market outside.

Beautiful palace to understand how Bavarian Royal Families lived. The building itself is beautifully decorated, and there is still a complete collection of furniture and accessories of the different rooms. Worth to spend 2-3 hours inside. Visitors get free audio guides, but there is also information in English.

Amazing place if you are here to learn. The museum has almost everything science and technology from robotics to encryption and everything in between! You can spend weeks and months here without getting bored!

There are also live demonstrations every hour during weekend (only in German though)!

Would highly recommend to visit this place!

Very grand, very big, and very worth the visit.

We came a couple of hours before close on a Sunday, and had to wait in line for 15-20 minutes to buy tickets. They have free audio guides as well as a coat check.

The space is massive - they have an option for the Full Tour and a shortened version. We visited at the end our day and we're exhausted, so we raced through the full tour in a little over an hour, but expect to spend 2-3 hours in just the museum to really appreciate everything and listen to the audio tour.

Incredible museum, only 9 euros for the basic tour with free audio guide. It took me about two hours.

The residence is huge with many different chambers and apartments and several breathtaking rooms. It is 100% worth a visit. There is also a Christmas market happening inside one of the courtyards.

BMW World - amazing place worth visiting if you’re in Munich. You can explore new cars from BMW, Rolls Royce and Mini. As well as motorbikes on the upper floor. Fantastic atmosphere, you can grab a coffee, have some food at the “Garden” bistro, relax in different places, check out the merchandise. Don’t forget to visit BMW Museum.

Explored the Residenz in Munich and was truly impressed. The opulence and historical significance are awe-inspiring. The architecture is magnificent, and each room tells a captivating story. Navigating through the grand halls and chambers provides a glimpse into Bavaria's rich past. A must-visit for history and architecture enthusiasts in Munich!

Good audio that helps u navigate.

If you really like to spend time in museum, this is a place for you.

There is washroom at the middle for you.

Best science museum in the world.

Magnificently curated with diversity of topics, but most of them treated with a great deal of thoroughness.

Plenty of interactive examples and representations of scientific concepts as well as history of scientific discoveries.

Access is pretty easy.

There is a downloadable museum app that is like nothing I have ever seem before.
A very large and interesting museum. A must visit, just keep in mind: you will be stuck here for several hours. You need to be well trained to walk up and down stairs, back and forth.

This place is huge. It was unclear where the entrance is. Exhibits got a bit repetitive towards the end. I appreciate them putting seats throughout the palace for people to rest. The theater is beautiful. Tickets are included for 14-day pass holders.

Amazing place to learn about science and technology. The best one actually but notice that you need one day at least to enjoyed every exhibition. And it definately worth it. I've been lucky to have the perfect guide: the museum PR himself, a very nice gentleman who i'm grateful for short but amazing tour. I have to come back oneday for sure.

A fun place to visit with family and car enthusiasts, especially since it is free and open until later in the day. The gift shop and simulator, however, are only open during regular hours so I would suggest going then if you want to check those out. The highlight of our visit was definitely the stimulator and the robot-coffee machine (future coffee)!
The museum was fine, small and full of families and their little kids, I went there because I was curious and wanted to enjoy. It's good for children since they can learn from it with the parents.

Surrounding area is very nice with big open space (park-like), also there are some theaters near by.

I wanted to really explore this historic place so it was very nice. It’s a really long tour so if you’re planning to visit, please make sure to have comfortable shoes and bring some water. Toilet facilities were fine and clean but there was no place to get water and after the tour I was really dehydrated. It was a warm day so it was pretty difficult for me after 2-3 hours of tour.
Great museum to explore with kids. Lots of interesting exhibits and interactive experiences.

Amazing place to visit and know the history of science. It's the Europe's largest science museum. A lot of valuable collections are there on the display. The contribution of the German scientists in most of the major scientific fields can be witnessed there. At present its only 40% open and the rest is under renovation. Very neatly laid out and organised interior. Best place for the young kids. You need at least half a day to see things in detail.

I had an amazing time at the Deutsches Museum! It's a fantastic place to explore science and technology. They've got hands-on exhibits that make learning fun. Whether you're a kid or an adult, there's something for everyone. A must-visit in Munich
Stopped through during my trip to Oktoberfest and this place was bigger and better than I expected! We visited during the week and got our tickets at the counter. There is a lot of history, art, and architecture to admire while in here. I recommend stopping in to explore the grounds and admire the history and architecture.

BMW Welt is a true automotive wonderland. This architectural marvel not only showcases the latest BMW innovations but also offers an immersive experience for visitors of all ages. The design and layout are impressive, and the exhibitions are both informative and interactive. It's not just a car showroom; it's a journey into the future of mobility. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable, and the on-site restaurants are a delightful bonus. Whether you're a car enthusiast or just curious about the future of transportation, BMW Welt is a must-see destination in Munich. It's a testament to BMW's commitment to excellence and innovation.

Amazing palace!! One of the best I've seen. The staff are very friendly and the tour and audio guide are amazing. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 and not 5 star is because the tour is very very long and for a self guided tour it could get quite boring. Also a lot of the audio guide videos did not have much information about certain paintings but still took a while to listen to so it took up time. I'd say it takes minimum 3 hours to get through this palace and there's no cafe for food.
Not worth it, don't buy the 14 day pass as a tourist, it doesn't get you much, just go back to the palace and buy another single day ticket

Munich Technology Museum: 4 floors of wonders. Aviation history, rare musical instruments, and the forgotten like telegrams. Dive into modern and historical chemistry, then marvel at real rockets and satellites in the space exhibit. The observation area was under construction during our visit. Worth the 15-minute walk from the station; tickets are €15 for adults and €8 for kids. Check out family ticket options too!

Extremely awesome place and worth visiting for car enthusiasts. One of the best model with all the features presented. The experience at the BMW motorrad was next level. Sitting on the bike and feeling it, gives a great experience to anyone. The experience of checking out the Rolls Royce car was next level. A truely heaven for car lovers.

Rivals the Vatican in sheer size and awe inspiring works and rooms.

Massive location - highly recommend planning on at least 3-4 hours. You can blaze through faster but it’s worth the time to enjoy yourself.

I loved the theater. Very quick “tour” but its jaw dropping.

Really cool building that stands out in the area. Right outside the metro station. The building is full loads of different cars and bikes, so great for enthusiasts . It's free entry and a great way to spend time it you're around the Olympic Park.
A very interesting branch of the deutsches Museum with all kind of cars (mostly if not exclusively German) and lots of information about internal combustion engines, steering systems and others, presented in an educationsl way. You can even see a Benz prototype of the first gasoline powered automobile (which I think used to be in the central museum in the past). Although a kid should in my opinion be at least 10 to grasp all the concept, the place was full of toddlers that made it a bit annoying. It seems many parents find it a convenient playground (there is even an indoor slide). Nevertheless it is a highly revommended visit for every Munich tourist. Most information is also in English.

Very good designed building both interior and exterior. Very nice automobiles and motorcycles inside of the building. There different places such as shop, coffee and restaurant also. Shop is very big but the prices are not very cheap. Cars are not very old and only a few of them are old. There are also too many motorcycles and they are very nice also old motorcycles
Beeindruckende Ausstellung. Keine Wartezeiten.

The best science and technology museum that you can visit. It is very interactive, and you will not feel bored!
There are many instruments from the past and nowadays, many experiments to do, big space dedicated to the planes, to astronomy and space, life science, agriculture, robotics...

Small museum in a beautiful historic building. The museum seems more like a private collection, definitely not comparable in size or quality to other toy museums. May be interesting to more serious toy enthusiasts, but for us (especially the children) it was rather boring.

Due to its location it is not designed accessibly, and there are no bathrooms (we were sent to the nearby subway station after asking).

It was ok for me and rather interesting to see the history of toys, but the name of this place is a little misleading: the only toys are in glass cases. My little sisters were rather disappointed because there aren't any interactive exhibits.
Very nice but few things were translated into English

The good museum in the heart of Munich. Very nice staff. There is parking nearby. On Sunday the ticket costs only 1 euro. It can be a little boring for small children... but of course that's a matter of taste.
An amazing place bringing you back to childhood. Very good exibition with different toys telling their history. Lived the Steiff Teddy Bears collection and an old Barbie:)
Nice exposition about the wildlife photographer of the year. It was also fun for me and my girlfriend (in our 30s) to do the interactive quizzes about nature topics in the museum. We only left because they were closing. Can recommend for all ages!

It is old town hall which is a toy museum now. They have variety of toys before 1900. Very interesting stuff there if you like to try..
An interesting, entertaining museum featuring many types of vehicles and their development. Hundreds of automobiles, trains, cable cars, bikes, motorcycles and trams from many eras are featured. I recommend it for the entire family.

This is a really cool museum with plenty to see, also a very big variation. Everything from airplanes to harvest equipment. A very interesting museum, but it is very crowded usually with a lot of school classes visiting it and generally a very long queue to the entrance, but if you are interested in technology it is totally worth the waiting time.
It was jammed the day we went. Tickets were only a Euro for adults. Some exhibitions are dated, but my son and the rest of the family didn't mind and had a great time. Lovely cafe on site too.
Nice place, not too crowded. The diversity is great and cultural. Visit it on Sunday so that you can purchase the ticket with 1€.

Note: Not every explanation is in English, mostly German.
Top museum with an excellent collection of extremely rare exhibits. Very good value for money.

It takes a long time to buy tickets, because many school students go there together. It's better to set aside a day to visit the museum. Personally, I feel that this museum is very suitable for scientific enlightenment. It has a basic and comprehensive display of agricultural science, technology, music, aviation and industry.

Very short quick museum. Can be done in 15 minutes. Can't play with any toys either. Could just as easily be a small private collection rather than a museum. Not really worth the price
Discover the marvels of mechanical ingenuity at the Museum Verkehrszentrum—an extraordinary museum captivating adults and kids alike, while in Munich it is a must go museum. For a modest fee of 8 Euros (as of Summer 2023), immerse yourself in an awe-inspiring exhibition featuring a captivating array of bicycles, motorcycles, cars, trains, and cutting-edge modern technology mosly from Germany but some from other parts of the World. Whether you're a transportation enthusiast or simply curious about the wonders of mechanical innovation, this museum promises an enriching and enjoyable experience for all visitors. I spent 2,5 hrs in the museum and could add probably another 1.5 hrs easily.
One of the greatest museums, wonderfully curated, great collections and in perfect shape!
Medieval armor room could use some explanation in blade shape and utility but that's only a picky observation.

Awesome architecture and decorations of the museum. Really enjoyed it!
There are many carriages of the Royal family and horses which is very beautiful and decorative.
One of the most entertaining museums I’ve ever visited. There are numerous exhibits that facilitate learning. I recommend planning to spend the entire day there. It is definitely worth visiting multiple times. There is a special room where only adults accompanied by children are allowed; you cannot enter without a child.

The Toy Museum in Marienplatz is a delightful destination for both young and old. Located in the historic Old Town, it offers a captivating journey through the world of toys. Upon entering, you'll be greeted by an extensive collection that spans several centuries, showcasing a wide range of toys from various countries and eras.

The museum's exhibits are thoughtfully curated, providing a nostalgic and educational experience. From traditional dolls and teddy bears to intricately crafted tin toys and model trains, there is something to captivate visitors of all ages. Each exhibit offers a glimpse into the history and cultural significance of these playthings, allowing visitors to appreciate the craftsmanship and ingenuity behind them.

What truly sets the Toy Museum apart is its interactive nature. Visitors are encouraged to play with certain exhibits and engage in hands-on activities, making it an immersive experience for children and a chance for adults to relive their childhood. The museum's staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to share fascinating stories and answer any questions.

The museum also organizes special events, workshops, and temporary exhibitions, ensuring there's always something new to discover. The gift shop offers a wide selection of toys, books, and souvenirs, allowing visitors to take a piece of the museum home with them.

It’s is a charming and enchanting place that appeals to both toy enthusiasts and those seeking a nostalgic trip down memory lane. It's a wonderful attraction that celebrates the joy, creativity, and cultural significance of toys throughout history.
The salesperson closed the shop half an hour earlier, in front of two customers who wanted to go inside. The excuse was that they were hungry...
Great place to spend 2-3 hours with kids. Very well organized from educational point of view, there are many interactive items. You can easy to check how is working all-wheel-drive transmission or steering wheel or other technical solution we are using daily. There is big Lego playing room for kids. Parking can be an issue.
A very unkind and unmotivated sales women stopt me to make a foto of a watch because that was not allowed. I wanted to take the picture for a friend who woud be very interested in one of these watches. I wanted to buy also some souvenirs overthere, but in the end I left directly without buying anything. It is going to well because of all the tourists overthere I guess!!!
Nice cute little shop
Unfortunately the woman at the cashier has a very unfriendly non service oriented tone. She made up her own rules at what price customers are allowed to pay by card. Won’t go there again.
Good product range but the staff is rude and not at all helpful. Wanted to buy but decided not to due to the extremely bad behavior.
We bought 14 days ticket for 2 persons
Ticket price as of 7 Apr'23 = €66

This Ticket include many attractions in Munich . It 's include Nymphenburg Palace and Marstallmuseum as well

Marstallmuseum is a place to keep the king's chariot. These chariots are very magnificent, it' a real piece of art that make me wonder how ancient people can create a thing beautiful like this👍👍it was kept in a perfect condition.
We went to the Transport Museum with #Bigfoot and #Littlefeet. It was quite crowded, but got lost in the three halls. There were lots of small children and older people. We had a look at all three halls. Impressive exhibits in the motorbikes, cars or the railway.

Three aspects that we found a little strange: 1. the exhibits and their stories mostly describe the past - but what about the mobility of the future?
2. of course #Bigfoot and #Littlefeet wanted to get behind the wheel of the truck and eventually did when it was their turn. But not only is the cab getting a bit long in the tooth, the cushions and seat covers are also broken and filthy with stains. Why doesn't anyone take care of that?
3. We had an online family ticket (17€) and still had to stand in the normal long row. Why is there no "fast lane" with scanner?

All in all, it's a big museum with good transport links and good infrastructure in terms of restaurants and parks around it. The entrance fee is worth it because the children are delighted and get wide-eyed. There is also a children's area in hall three. We are happy to recommend the museum, although it could improve on some points.
Amazing museum on transportation: bikes, motorcycles, cars, trains, street cars, carriages, buses, trams. Amazing history and artifacts in this museum. They also have a hall specifically for children. I really enjoyed my visit and highly recommend this when visiting Munich. So much to see and enjoy.
A really nice museum with wonderful security guards and guides. So many rooms with so many incredible artifacts. A must when you visit Munich.
I can not even express how impressed I was at this museum, it was honestly one of the highlights of our trip to Bavaria and Austria! First of all, Bavarian art is exquisite! Unfortunately a LOT of it includes ivory, but the Bavarians have been using ivory since the days of the Mammoth (no kidding there is a box made with mammoth ivory in the collection). I definitely have an appreciation for the artistry that was necessary when using that material. It is breathtaking. From cabinets, clothing, furniture and armor to intricate scenes depicting the nativity, the art in this museum is unparalleled. There is something for everyone. My husband, son (17) and I spent a surprising five hours there!! We explored every nook and cranny! As I walked through this museum, I actually felt like a child! Everywhere I turned, there was something else, literally breathtaking, to see. Honestly if I could only do one thing in the city of Munich, it would be going to this museum! I don’t even want to post photos because nothing will even come close to seeing these things in person. Maybe just a couple to get an idea…

It's a really nice place in a hidden area of the Marienplatz.
The toys there are really old but wonderful. The museum is on 4 levels and every level is a new era of toys.
I especially liked the Barbie and Ken collection, along with the teddy bears.
Lovely staff, and a million gadgets, engines, toys, and more. Worth a visit if you're inclined to these things
Visited here on February 2022 and the entry ticket was 10 Euros. It's a well organised museum with many things to see. Audio guides are provided.
Super place, lots for the little man to see and do. Resturant was nice too.
Lots of parking
Nice walks around.
Beautiful setting
Perfect for kids 3-8! Amazing museum on mobility, with lots of bikes, cars, trams, racing cars and trains on exhibition. Among other things, kids get to try out a car simulator, there's a lot to do. I'd plan 2-3h for my visit. A family ticket is €17, which is fair. Easy 5/5. 💯
A true gem in the center of the city that helps tourist and locals understand a bit more of the history of Bavaria and the surrounding areas.

A nice place to see pottery, weapons, jewellery, sculptures, religious artifacts, etc. Plus on Sunday the cost of entrance is only 1€.
Because you can’t choose 0 stars. The woman in the shop got angry because we payed with a credit card. She was like “oh thanks because of you I have to pay now 3% fees”. We are in 2022
This might be the best hidden jewel in Germany. I was there almost by myself today. I might've seen five or seven people besides a group of people that spent about an hour looking at a decoration. Most of the rooms that I visited had no one else in them.

I went there with a group of kids where we loved looking at all the old toys together. We also discovered how creative people were in the past and that we could learn from it. The historic building itself has 5 stories where you can mainly look at the toys through the glass windows. The views from the windows are not to be missed. Planned time for the excursion is between 60-90mins. Have fun!
As the other customers said the saleswoman was unfriendly at all although the products was very good and unique for a gift . But she was excellent in ruining your shopping experience , i hope someone would help her to do better
The products are very good but the staff is very rude. She didn't leave us alone, we had to leave. There is a barcode on the product, we scanned the barcode on the phone for information, she came to warn us not to take photos here.
It is a great museum but unfortunately everything is in German! There should be a consideration putting also the text in English.

The exhibits are so good and informative and it is sad not to be understood from a bigger group of non German speaking people.
the museum is located right next to the gorgeous castle Nymphenburg with an admission fee of around €7 for adults and free for children. you can easily spend two or three hours browsing through the exhibitions about the evolution of the earth and mankind, our universe, the human body and the animal kingdom. the current special exhibition "Alle Zeit Der Welt" featuring the German astrophysicist Harald Lesch is included in the admission fee. unfortunately, most of the display items at the museum are from the late 90s to early 2000s and haven't been updated since, marking large amounts of the exhibitions rather outdated and unappealing. furthermore, the entire museum is only in German. laminated paper signs with English translations have been added in very few places, but 95% are only in German, including the new exhibition, which is honestly a shame for all international visitors. it's a great place for children and adults alike to educate themselves and spend an afternoon, but the old displays and the lack of translation was rather disappointing.
