Great place to bring family friends and burn some energy either outside or inside. Even adults can be entertained if you try. Is it expensive? Yes, so we bought season passes so we can come back again and enjoy seasonal events. So depending on what and where you live you may want the season passes or just visit one attraction. If it is for kids then visiting the children's museum is a great option. Looking for something outdoors then visit the outdoor garden. If you want to learn something visit the butterfly exhibit. Lots to do and learn!
Check out my other specific reviews, posts, and pictures to learn about each individual attraction.
Thanksgiving Point is always developing and adding to the experiences for families. They have provided years of education, discovery, and joy for my young children. I support this organization and all they stand for. If you're thinking of getting a membership, it is well worth it. My personal favorite yearly tradition is the Tulip Festival!
We decided to come here without planning our day but we were not disappointed! There was plenty for our little one to do.
We choose to do the explorer day pass and it was the better value with access to all 5 venues.
They had fair food options in the deli restaurant, I would still recommend to pack some water and snacks if you are taking your kids.
I have heard they switch the themes of some attractions seasonally. The park is still expanding, there is still, construction and parts not accessible.
Overall we had a great time here!

So much to see from acreage of live gardens and bronze statues, to indoor bug exhibits, The imax screen and dinosaur exhibit, and the butterfly biosphere. Enjoy live outdoor performances and theater st the Amphitheatre. Visit Thanksgiving gardens at different seasons and enjoy different flowers. The coy fish pond is fabulous. The employees love to share knowledge of everything around thanksgiving point. Lunch or breakfast with your family or treat your employees and host a meeting in any of their meeting rooms.

Went for girls date. It was only 50% bloomed last weekend so they gave us free tickets to go back during the season. Even tho it was only 50% bloomed, it was still pretty and able to take lots of cute photos.

We got the explorer pass to be able to enjoy the exhibits for the day. We ended up making it to the butterfly biosphere which was fabulous! The museums of ancient life were interesting and well maintained as well as the museum of curiosity. The carousel was super fun and we rode it a couple times.
My 10 month old baby was in heaven here! There is so much do to and something for all ages. We immediately bought a pass and came back the next day! She got so excited as we were walking in the next day as she recognized where we were. Such a great option of something fun and enriching to do with kids during the day! And the annual pass is a great bang for your buck!
It is a fun museum to explore and learn. My kids can spend hours here. There are baby and toddler areas. However I would say there is an age that the kids need to be to be able to explore and understand all the theme rooms.

It is a little pricey but if you stay for a long time then it makes it worth it. I also would only go on a weekday. Way too crowded on Friday through Sunday.

Definitely a quality place for a fun day out. I got the explorer pass so I could visit multiple museums in one day. I loved the butterfly garden and the dinosaurs of the natural history museum. As a single young adult I'm not really the target audience, but I still really enjoyed my time at Thanksgiving Point. I also ate lunch in the restaurant.
Fun place for kids to explore. Some new upgrades and additions since the last time we visited in 2022.
They have an awesome program where up to 5 children are free, if you have a WIC card. Highly recommend for families with children.
This is one of our favorite museums throughout the country. It’s done very nicely and allows the kids a lot of room to explore and be curious!

After visiting curiosity museums all throughout the country over the past year we place the Museum of Natural Curiosity in our top 5 in the nation due to its incredible displays, attention to detail, family friendly atmosphere, and kid centric focus.

Our kids love every area of this museum and we continue to come back time and time again. Spend an entire day or just a few hours.

Fantastic museum. Only wish it was part of a reciprocal program like ACM or ROAM.
Love the Thanksgiving Point membership! This is perfect for all ages and we easily stay for at least two hours. We love the new exhibit and the water cycle ball drop near the water area was my one year old’s favorite. We always enjoy doing the rope/bridge course and my kids love getting to be in the plane. There’s so much to do so be sure to give your kids enough time to explore this museum. We always appreciate the kind and thoughtful staff!
We had the most amazing time during the summer playing in the water section of the museum... Now that it's winter we love having a place that's nice and warm to bring our little one out to play.
Also very appreciative of the WIC discount. I paid $6 for both my husband and I. Thank you!
I went with my daughter and family who live here, and we had a good time! There were many wonderful butterflies and my favorite flowers, hibiscus!
Went with my wife, my daughter and my granddaughter for a Halloween event. I'm not much for crowds but decided to go. It was actually a very nice place with lots of activities of learning for all ages. The staff were all very kind and friendly. My daughter has an annual pass, so she brings her daughter regularly, maybe once a week. My granddaughter loves it.

West Valley Coral Arts Center is a wonderful place of Community, preforming arts. Many events are free.
Wheel chair access.
Helpful people.
Great place to renew your spirit through the creativity of others.
Such a wonderful place to visit with children! There were so many beautiful butterflies, it was fun trying to catch one to hold. There were other live insect exhibits, as well as a large children's playing area (the slide is super tall!). We have a TP pass, we will be here weekly! Well worth the membership!

Such a great museum, and while it's not huge, they pack so many things in it, that it's a must see if you're in the area. A lot of historic and natural items to see. They also have a huge collection of minerals, which is just amazing.

High quality little bit of everything museum, and affordable. Glad to hear about their expansion. I learned a lot, this isn't a repeat of every natural history museum in the area either! Everytime I've gone people are so nice and it's not crowded. I remember when my son was a toddler they gave him a few presents. When my son got older he couldn't remember the place and thought it would be boring but changed his mind after seeing a high quality virtual reality tour--the best I've seen--online. I'm happy to hear that they've contracted with service missionaries to help with environmental work and service projects and I support that (and hope they've made it neutral to all beliefs--unfortunately it doesn't look that way which is controversial for a city-owned museum). It is a little awkward assigning them be available to answer questions when there's evolution exhibits and american history exhibits that force them to take a mainstream approach in spite of their beliefs. I'm just saying they shouldn't be put in positions like that simply to help the museum keep costs low; let's be a little more sensitive. Other than that, and a place to eat that's not just on the grounds would be nice.
A low-key discovery of an amazing variety of interests and exploring. Hands-on interaction STEM discovery and exploration, including very simple items of interest for young to old children and adults. Studio sound mixing & other media concepts intro to a pretty advanced 'ropes' course. Easy to lose track of time inside.
Then, outside has much more. Various Gardens, fish pond, trais with interesting exploring options - caves, tunnels paths, and ... well o see!
Very neat experience.

While we had a fun time, I’m not sure it’s worth the price to enter. Maybe.

There are definitely a ton of butterflies and the area is large enough that you don’t feel overly crowded, but i wish I could have paid a little less and skipped the kid area that was towards the front.
Took our niece to the biosphere and had a lot of fun. There’s lots of educational activities that taught me a few things too! The biosphere is gorgeous. Lots of butterflies and even got to hold butterflies if you were gentle enough. They have a lot of cool species in there. The workers were all great with kids and there was a lot of activities for the kids. Tickets are a bit steep but worth it to experience it once.
There is SO much to do at this museum. There are climbing structures, water tables, building blocks, story time, bugs, puppets, etc. They even just put in a new carousel outside. It is an extra fee, but it's definitely a fun option.
I made several stop motion videos with my son, and that was a highlight of our day.
Attended an after hours visit for a charity event. Great children’s museum with interactive exhibits and fun learning. My elementary kids really engaged in the themed hubs. Favorites were jungle canopy, pollinator scavenger hunt, kids town, and the water works play area. Garden and outdoor areas weren’t available for the event, so they’re begging a return trip.

This is a really fun spot for young kids. I’ve visited several different times with my daughter and she’s had fun every time.

They have a large indoor butterfly area with a variety of live butterflies and tropical plants. I recommend going during slower parts of the day so that you have a better chance to observe and interact with the butterflies with your kids. Some young kids can get a little excited and chase the butterflies around during busier/crowded times.

Inside, they have a insect museum area with live and dead insects exhibits, age appropriate children’s play areas, and an indoor slide that is quite large and twisty. Great place for an afternoon!
Lots of fun stuff for the kids, mine around preschool age especially enjoyed it. Most exhibits are indoors but there are outdoor areas too. There were a few exhibits or portions of them closed, but they seemed to be in the process of working on them & there was still plenty left to explore.

There's a little Main St. with different "stores" like a magic shop, puppet show, music center, library & more. They were offering a craft lesson in one of these rooms so this section was extremely busy. It looked fun but was a little too much to attempt with a toddler & there was way too many people. Crafts & events are posted on the website's calendar if you want to participate (or avoid them).

If you plan on letting kids play in the Language Lagoon section with the water features there are rubber boots & aprons available but I'd still recommend bringing a towel & maybe even a change of clothes. There are baby seats at the water tables especially for little ones so our toddler liked this area best.

Our preschooler loved the climbing areas best. There's a big indoor area with lots of rope bridges & slides. Remember to bring sunscreen, outside there's a large space with construction type playground toys as well as a path that goes through caves and around a pond. There's a carousel & stage, which were closed but looked fun.

I definitely recommend bringing kids & checking it out for yourself. Buy your tickets online to save a few dollars. Next time we are definitely going to get passes with access to other areas of Thanksgiving Point because we went through faster than expected, but the museum is a great way to spend the morning or afternoon.

We happened upon this museum accidentally while looking for the Thanksgiving Point one. They had LDS missionaries working there, and they were all very nice. The credit card reader was offline, which was stressful, but the staff were so kind and accommodating, and they made sure we had fun. I would definitely recommend giving this museum a visit!

It was so fun to see the butterflies! The kids enjoyed learning new things, and playing on the playthings. I would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for the price. It was just under $100 for 2 adults and 3 kids under 12, with military discount. We enjoyed seeing beautifully colored butterflies and we had a very knowledgeable team members answering all of our questions.🤗
We spent 5 hours here!! The only thing lacking was a mother's room. The staff showed me a secluded place, but it was right next to where kids can design an outfit, I strongly encouraged my daughter to design an outfit while nursing so I didn't look like a creepo!
They could add in more water toys in the water section, my tot kept wanting to take the balls from the cloud area & bring them to the water section, he wanted to watch things float down with the water.
The scavenger hunt was fun, they even got a prize for finishing, I loved that it encouraged them to truly look/learn.
It's expensive, but I felt we got our money's worth!
The Butterfly Biosphere is Heaven on Earth! My family and I love to go there. I paid extra for the butterfly release today, and it was so worth it! Megan did a fantastic explanation of the butterfly life cycle and my 2 year old got to release a butterfly. Megan was so sweet and engaging! Anyway, this is such a happy place with loving and exciting energy for everyone. We love Thanksgiving Point!
Took my kids to this museum. They loved it. They have different themes. My kids loved the rainforest canopy. My son did the “canopy tour” he loved it. They have great food. Try to get there around opening time, you can find a nice parking spot and no wait.
The Museum of Natural Curiosity is a good place to visit with kids. It is a part of the thanksgiving point campus and is a well set up to host kids of all ages and their guardians.

There are lots of different zones or areas in the museum, each focusing on a different theme. We had most fun in the gardens, with a few caves to explore and a huge pond with koi fish (and fish food at the front desk for an additional $2 charge) the fish pond has 3 viewing windows that provide a great spot to see the variety of coloured koi. When feeding them there is an all out frenzy, with fish splashing and jumping to get food. Seems a tad overstocked with fish but a fun experience.

Inside there are parts for 0-3 year olds which gives littles a safer spot to play out the way of older kids.

There is a great water section with lots of water games and toys to play with. The museum provides water jackets and water proof boots to not get your kid soaked.

For older kids there is the canopy section, a section above the main museum that has rope bridges going from platform to platform. At the top there is another additional charge attraction where you can get harnessed up and do a climbing course.

Overall, the ticket prices are the reason for 4 stars, it seemed a bit pricey per person for what there is to offer, but apart from that minor detail it is a great place for kids to come and explore!
This place is an absolute dream! As an animal geek, I left completely satisfied and excited to visit again. The Glass Wing Butterfly are a rare species that is found throughout areas of Central and South America AND YOU CAN SEE THEM HERE AT THIS BIOSPHERE! 🦋
Among many other butterflies you will see some exquisite moths and even a couple quails. Outside the biosphere they are some terrariums with all sorts of other bugs on the upper level of the facility.
The playground and interactive places for kids are perfect for families, but yet still great for adults.
Please take the time to go to Thanksgiving Point! It is absolutely worth your time.
Great place for children. My children enjoy coming here and exploring the new areas. We love the new water cycle area, especially the falling “rain drops”. During the school year we’ve noticed field trips usually come on Thursdays, making the 11-2 hours busier than usual.

Wayyy better than their website makes it seem. If you like random things from history, authentic antiques, archeology items, culture, etc this place is well worth the time and you can't beat the entry fee. Plan a good 2 hours to get the full experience, but if you need to make it shorter you can. Very kid-friendly, they have a whole treasure hunt and map thing to do with explorer backpacks. Both the kids and adults loved it.

Mostly history of Utah, but there are a number of historical things from outside of Utah.

Very friendly staff, plenty of accessible parking,

We loved our visit. You can take a walk through all of the many exhibits or ask for a tour. Our guide was so great. He has lots of fun facts and silly jokes for every room. Very entertaining and well worth a visit. We'll definitely be back

We love this museum. It is a little gold nugget that we wished we would have visited sooner. The museum has more than we would have imagined for local and area history, a small live animals room, and a very large rocks, minerals, and mining exhibit. The staff are very friendly and helpful, making your visit comfortable and informative. We learned a lot about the local area that we didn't know before.

We didn't even know this place was here until this weekend but we are very glad we decided to stop. There was so much to do and so many interesting things to see. More than 16 rooms, each with a different theme. Each room had kid-friendly, hands-on exhibits. The reptile room had so many cool reptiles. There was a handler there when we went who was happy to give us more than an hour of personalized, one-on-one time. He got out a few critters so we could see them and touch them. And he was so knowledgeable and kept giving us really interesting facts. So great!!!
