Peters work is excellent. Great craftsmanship. If youre thinking about getting something framed and you think Framebridge will be cheaper and easier, you would be wrong! At Brooklyn Frame Shop they are real professionals in their craft, and there are more frame and customization options (I added museum glass for a small upcharge). I had something quoted here and at Framebridge, and Peter’s shop had the better price, with a higher quality result than you would get with Framebridge. Give this local framer a try!
Peter is fantastic, a true business owner who takes pride in his work and cares about his customers. This was our first experience with custom framing. Jeff was great at explaining all the different options focusing on preservation and aesthetics to best complement the piece. He walked us through various options at different price points and was super speedy with completing the actual framing.

I've had several items framed here. It's pricey, but I've always been happy with the results. My favorite item is probably the one shown here, where they framed some little keepsakes from a trip I took. I had this done years (and several apartment moves) ago and it still looks great.
I was looking for a local frame shop for one our favorite prints and so happy with the service from Peter & Brooklyn frame shop! He is a gem to work with & has such great knowledge about his craft. I was debating about upgrading to the museum/art glass but it was absolutely worth it to have such a crisp view with minimal reflections. Truly couldn’t recommend this place more! :)

Jubilee is always my first choice for framing, whether it’s small keepsakes or antique pieces like this 18th c Tibetan Thangka which needed archival quality materials. For this piece, Pete chose the perfect mat and hand painted the cut to make sure it melded well with artwork.

Got my passport photos done, quick and easy process
Absolutely terrific experience with Art to Frames. We have a family portrait that needed some cropping and toning adjustments that were beyond our skill set, and we wanted it blown up to 22x28 and framed without a matte. They worked with us to adjust the picture, sent it to us for approval and then built a frame to the exact dimensions, all for much less than a local crafts store.
Not only was the finished job beautiful, but the wrapping and shipping materials were of such high quality that everything arrived in perfect condition. Next time we need framing, we know where to go!

I ordered 3 custom frames. They were shipped well, very well protected and arrived in perfect condition. I received them within 3 days of ordering which was very impressive. I'll definitely be using Art to Frames again. Highly recommended.

I received my frame today. I’m in love with Art To Frames!! First I have to tell you that the customer service person was wonderful. She dealt with me “driving and ordering” and helped me remember what color mat I liked and got everything in perfect for me. The packaging the frame came in was impressive! A lot of work went into making sure nothing was damaged. And the prices are wonderful! Ya gotta try this place!! 💕. Attached my very first drawing from 1975….. in my new frame!

I love their wide selection of glass and acrylic, plus the unending selection of frames. My frame and double mat arrived perfect in every way. Prices are quite a bit higher than my normal go-to online frame shop. But Art To Frames makes custom frames for smaller artwork than other online shops so I will return for that aspect. As a first-time customer I felt the website was a little confusing and clunky. Next time I'm sure it will go more smoothly.
Framing in general is pricey. But when you get the final framing it is absolutely beautiful.
Very knowledgeable staff and helpful with assisting in selecting frame, etc. Sadly they were almost triple the cost of my usual place and i did not use them for framing. Seem pricier than other local establishments but do have a nice selection!
Easy to order custom sizes. Large selection and prices are decent! Shipping is expensive but they have offers for free shipping from time to time. The best part is you can upload a photo to find the best frame to match. I love our new frame! I will order again when I need custom framing.

I made the mistake of going here and trying to support a local business. This place has 3 stars for a reason! I ordered a mat at 14x14in. for $52, which is twice the price of getting a similar custom mat from a seller on Etsy. Once I picked it up, and went to frame it, the mat wouldn't fit in the frame.
Sure enough, when I measured the mat, it was 14.1in wide, a 12th of an inch too big. When I called to get a refund or store credit, they refused, saying that it was my responsibility to notice the error and I should have said something immediately on pick-up. In short, there's a chance your mat/frame will be mis-cut, and it's on you to check their work immediately on pick up.
Sure enough, when I measured the mat, it was 14.1in wide, a 12th of an inch too big. Realized I never wrote a review for Boerum Frames. After sadly moving states and trying to find a new framer recently, I have not been able to find anyone nearly as talented as Jeff from Boerum Frames. I honestly want to take a trip to Brooklyn just to get my artwork framed!!
He is a true artist. I am beyond thrilled with what he did for my small special piece back in 2020. I cherish it every day.

They are helpful, understanding, patient, and produce quality work. They make excellent photos, copies, and makes accurate key duplicates. I left important certificates I had them copy but do to rushing to get to the next place I had to go, unknowingly left them. They secured the certificates and emailed me. They are the best!

I rarely leave reviews for businesses, but felt compelled after my experience working with Jeff. Jeff is one of the nicest people you could possibly meet and a true pleasure to work with. He was incredibly honest and transparent through the whole framing process and his craftsmanship and attention to detail shines through. I had a total of 7 pieces framed over a few months and each one was completed flawlessly within just a few days. I could not recommend Boerum Frames more!

My experience was not cool. Snobby, over priced, uncreative and dismissive. Just all around basic in their approach. Seek other collaborators if you have any ideas of your own.
A friend recommended Peter at Jubilee Gallery, and I heartily thank them for it. I had a picture knocked off the wall and took it in for a repair. Excellent work, super nice, and less costly than I'd feared. Couldn't ask for more.
After reading the reviews I have to say I was very spectacle about coming here. I figured I would try it out on a small project since it was close to home. I first brought in a picture to be custom matted into a readymade frame, the project was completed in about a week. Since the project was so nicely done, I brought in a custom frame job which was done in less than the ETA the lady in the front gave me. The frame was actually exactly what I wanted, and I loved that the framer was able to insert my art information into my frame for my keepsake. All in all, I loved their work. The young ladies who helped were super nice, and when questioned for their awful reviews they apologize (embarrassed) but hey, I am here to write that not all reviews need to be bad ones. The only people who put reviews are those who want to nit pick, I was present in one of the reviews here and his side of the story is not what happen. So if he was able to write a blatant lie, I wonder how many of these reviews can be similar. Food for thought...
Working with Boerum Frames was an excellent experience from start to finish - the framing was done beautifully. We also loved the frame selections he offered. Jeff was very nice, communicative, professional and easy to work with. Very impressed by the turnaround time - highly recommend and would definitely work with them again in the future.
Wanted to support a local business, but felt really ripped off. Spent way too much for 3 small frames, but chalked it up to being local. Took over a month to get them back, and when we did, they weren't even the frames we picked out. When we called to politely ask about it, we were told that they had it right and we were clearly wrong. Probably need a better tracking system. No worries, we won't be shopping here again.
Really happy with the 3 custom size frames I bought. The frame itself is as shown in the website photos and even prettier in person. Everything looks solid and well made, corners are even and smooth. The frames were made within a week and delivered a few days later. They arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. See photos. Thank you!!

I paid the inflated price (rather than buying online where I'd have a wider selection and pay 25% as much) because I wanted to support a local business and not have to do the framing myself. The woman told me to come by the next day after she'd installed the print. I picked it up and it looked great.
A month later, I looked at my wall and saw that the print had slipped down inside the frame. So I took it back to the store and asked them to fix it.
The owner immediately demanded a printed, itemized receipt to do anything (and said the charge on my credit card statement from them was *not* enough!). She told me there was no way they were the ones to put the print in because of the way it was installed. WHY WOULD I COME TO YOUR STORE, PAY YOU MONEY AND LEAVE MY PRINT WITH YOU IF NOT TO HAVE IT FRAMED?
The owner offered no apology, called me a liar, and refused to do anything unless I paid an additional fee.

The owner was so nice and service was super quick. My photo printed off beautifully. After going to a large chain and their machines being broken, I’ll definitely be coming back.
I went to the place at 8:45 am and waited until 9:30 am. No body showed up. I had to wait 45mins out in cold wishing that they’d show up and open the place and finally I gave up and am going back home.
Brought in 5 photos to be framed. Very poor quality. The other negative reviews are correct. Incredibly sloppy workmanship. Here’s a brief list of the issues.
1) Damaged 2 of the 5 images framed. One of the images has 2 dents/crease that appears to be caused by a finger, the other frame has a single larger dent/crease.
2) Dust and debris behind the glass.
3) Outside glass has some kind of sticky residue.
4) Mat not cut straight, razor blade marks, dirt smudges. One of the mattes is not centered.
5) The mat and photo are not flush, gaps between photo and mat. There’s no tension on the backside of the artwork to keep it flush with the mat.
6) Frames corners do not meet on the inside or outside. Large gaps in corners of the shadow box
7) Mounting hardware extends beyond the edge of the frame.
8) Small scratches on frames, residue on painted frames, I’m assuming it’s an adhesive of some kind
9) The workmanship on the backside of the frame is haphazard and very sloppy.
I called the store after noticing all the issues, they didn’t seem interested in solving the problem, I mentioned how poorly the photos were secured in the frame, they said “their method”was to double side tape the artwork to the back of the frame and as such wouldn’t fix the problem… I asked for a refund, and was told custom frames are final sale, no refunds available. There’s so many problems with these frames the only way to fix them would be to start over and unfortunately I don’t trust 7th Ave Framing to not damage my artwork further. Stay away from this place if you value the objects your framing.

I went to their open mic event on Sunday and had a blast! The band, hosts and participants were super talented. The drinks, food and service was friendly and excellent. The vibe was positive and so much fun. Everyone showed love. I highly recommend Bedford Manor.

The best place in Brooklyn/ Boerum Hill to get your work framed. Jeff's a master framer so no job is too small nor too large and the rates are extremely competitive. I've gotten several paintings framed and the dimensions were as follows:
61 X 67, 65 X 56 X 3/4, 59 X 3/4 X 44 and 30 X 40
And I'm more than satisfied.

I am so pleased with the frame and the service! I live in Baltimore and was in a bit of a rush to get out of brooklyn, and they were able to accommodate all of my needs. I will most definitely go out of my way to get pieces framed at this location in the future. It looks really stunning in my apt. Thank you :)
I ordered two frames which I chose carefully. The colors, styles, and dimensions fit the description on the website exactly and were what I was expecting. The frames are solid quality and look really nice with the pictures. I received the order three weeks from the order date which was as expected. I'm very pleased and would order again!

This frame shop is absolutely incredible. They offer the most amazing details (interesting styles of closed corners, a bunch of creative matting and floating styles) that I have never seen so extensively or tastefully at another frame shop. They have such good customer service and give the best advice. They completely saved us once on an unreasonably right rush job of an unreasonably gigantic work and it was completely perfect. Their craftsmanship and taste is impeccable. I have been doing art advising in other cities and have longed for this shop to be near me; I haven’t found anything else like it. I cannot speak more highly of this shop; I love it sooooo much.

Holy smokes this place is expensive. But I have never seen a frame as beautiful as the one they made for me. The craftsmanship is divine. And you get to choose every little detail that goes into your frame. They are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Plus, they made great suggestions and really helped me pick out the right combo for my art. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for gallery-quality framing, but with a huge budget.

I got married in front of a canvas backdrop I had printed up, and afterwards my Dad approached Brooklyn Frameworks to frame part of the backdrop so that we could mount it on our wall as a keepsake/anniversary reminder. It was a very odd request, but Brooklyn Frameworks listened, figured out how to do it, and responded right away. They finished the project on time, warned us of how much trunk space we'd need to be able to get the finished piece home, and handed us a top quality piece of work at the agreed-upon price.
I can't recommend them enough.

I’ve been going to Prints Charming for over 10 years. Darren is always very patient with me as we go through frames and mats to find the perfect combination. His work is flawless and after one of our pieces was damaged in a move he repaired it beautifully!!
I put a kincaid puzzle together. but it was round. I ordered a blue barnyard frame 24 x 24. Put blue paper behind openings of puzzle. It Is beautiful, love it. Putting it over sofa. Glad I went online.

Steve has the best eye and taste of anyone I have ever worked with. Have had original art framed and matted there and the artist was impressed.
Jeff was easy to communicate with, flexible with meeting times, great to collaborate with - he gave us options and opinions that really helped us make a decision and being so happy with the completed pieces. Best framing EVER!!!
Don't go to this place. They overcharge and don't back up their work. I spent close to $300 to get a print framed and after two months, the print fell off the wall, smashing a bowl and damaging the print. When I examined it more closely, the one side wasn't screwed in properly. I returned to the shop thinking they would apologize AND repair for free. I didn't receive either. I was stunned!!! They lost my business for good. I am now going to another business to get my prints framed. I am still stunned.

I had two photos framed about 10 years ago. So this review might be a bit dated. But the craftsmanship was top notch and I'm writing this review now because I am now looking at the work they did for me then and it is still just truly magnificent. They were not cheap but the quality of work is superior. I am also a big fan of San Art over on 7th but if you want something truly special try frameworks.
