Dr. Marsella is a excellent doctor. When he is available. A few months ago I ran out of my ADD medication and there is a shortage of the one I was taking. I could not get a hold of him and I went through horrible withdrawal because of it. His assistant Alex has been working on my superbill because Dr. Marsella does not accept insurance. I've been waiting for 6 weeks to get my money back and Alex does not answer back to me through my emails. My pharmacy right now does not have my medication and my insurance only covers the generic version and I can't afford 400 dollars for it. Dr. Marsella did not answer me back when I texted him yesterday at 4:30.
Like I said Dr. Marsella is a excellent doctor when he is available for you. But his staff is HORRIBLE and he doesn't always get back to you when you need it

Save your time, money, and yourself from a very unpleasant experience. My first (and only) appointment was in Boca Raton (I live in Miami) at 6:30pm which seemed unusual to me but decided to go anyway after reading the (few) good reviews; when I was in Boca already I got a careless text message from his assistant indicating that he would be an hour late, he ended up being two hours late. However when he came in, he took the time to listen and asked insightful questions. But it did bother me that he kept pausing our conversation to check messages that would come in on his phone, or go out to pay an employee that was leaving for the day. There is no doubt Mr. Marsella is very intelligent, however he, and his staff, are extremely unorganized and unprofessional. He charged me $500 for that initial visit, and said they would check with my insurance to see if they could cover my TMS treatment. After that, it was nearly impossible to get in touch with Karina or Alis who -when I did get in touch with- kept asking me to call the other person. After SEVEN (7) WEEKS of waiting I complained to Dr. Marsella indicating that I really needed an answer; as a psychologist he would now better than anyone that a prompt response can sometimes be critical. A day later he texted me saying that he would like to refer me to one of his colleagues without an explanation. They made me waste a few extra weeks to give me my medical record/diagnosis. I ended up switching to Dr. Rodriguez (in Delray Beach) who is a true professional, just like his staff.

He’s a great caring doctor I went to him a few years ago but I moved up north he’s caring really listens super smart

Dr. Marsella is a caring human being and a psychiatrist that takes time to understand your needs as a patient. He looks at every case with a fresh perspective. A true scientist.

Dr. Marsala gave me back the daughter I never had. There are no words to express how truly grateful my family and I are.

Dr. Marsella seems to be a caring, intelligent doctor but he cancelled appointments with my son frequently and his office staff had to be contacted several times each time he needed a prescription refill. After the final no-show my son got another doctor.
