I wish I could give NO STARS!! They are so unprofessional!!! They did NOT show up to our session today. Due to the LA wildfires I wanted to make sure the appointment was not cancelled so I went on their IG page this morning and they posted that they are still operating today. We didn’t receive a call or email that anything changed. So we went to the location 30 minutes early and sat outside and nobody showed up. We called multiple times, no one answered. We sent multiple emails, no one answered. We had to go on their IG social media page where we finally reached someone via DM. How unprofessional to not respond to a customer who paid $500 for a session. After commenting under multiple pictures, I finally received a call and they said they closed for the day due to the weather. I explained to the lady that their IG page says that they are not closed and would be operating today. Also there was no call to give us a heads up about them closing!! I asked for a full refund and was told I had to get store credit or reschedule, I told her I do NOT live in the area. She said she has to see if can REQUEST a refund. Like what do you mean?? This is a inconvenience on YOUR end not mine. They are trying to scam me out of $500 because why would you not offer a full refund when your workers did not show up. You did not call or send an email saying you closed for the day. AND the IG post showing that they are still operating is STILL currently up right now. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! I’m currently fighting for a refund that I should’ve received immediately since they closed without notice and never reached out. I attached a screenshot to show proof that they said they are still operating today!!

Booked the Art Touch party for six 6-year olds. They had a great time - staff was all friendly and helpful and the experience was unique and memorable. Highly recommend!

I recently took the watercolor class, which for me was a very positive and fun experience. I enjoyed the technical exercises that we would start out with to get the ball rolling and learn new techniques. Also, by executing each painting twice, I feel I was able to reflect on my work and improve the second time around. I went in a novice and walked away with some new techniques and a desire to keep moving forward.

Show of art was amazing is good to do this experience the person you love The atmosphere was amazing. We will do this again for a date. I wish we could put 10 stars on here. The best time we had

Comprehensive education and great branding! 😊 Shannon (the director) has a very innovative approach. Intimate classes, ranging from small to fairly large, support learning styles of all sorts. Plan ahead for parking; arrive early. Great figure models 😉

Did the beginner class for Valentine’s Day and it was great!! We made heart shaped bowls and the instructor was yuli and she was awesome!! She helped anytime anyone was struggling and gave good instruction. We thought a sweet detail they added were the valentines decorations, the wine, and the chocolates. Can’t wait to see how our bowls turn out in 3 weeks!!

Great experience. Brought my girlfriend on Valentine’s Day as a surprise - she was thrilled. Yuli was a great teacher. Thank you!

I've been coming to Echo for two years. I took several beginning classes and now regularly attend the intermediate. Echo has lovely and knowledgeable teachers and their prices are really competitive. I've found an art home here and definitely recommend it to anyone interested in trying out the ceramics classes or any of the drawing, sculpture, painting classes.

What a fun way to spend the evening! We did this as a team building activity for our Home Health Agency and Mobile Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy team and couldn’t have asked for a better, well, EVERYTHING! Bri Bri was our artistic leader and made everything simple, but fun. We are not an artistic group by nature, but were able to create some wonderful art and have a lot of fun!

From the moment you walk it…it’s incredible and gets your creative juices flowing. The colors are so vibrant and warm, just like the super friendly and knowledgeable staff.
We had the best time doing the neon fluid class as well as the new After Dark experience. Bri was so hopeful, patient and over all just made our time at Shot of Art so unforgettable. We had the best time and I can’t wait to go back!

Our experience at Shot of Art was awesome. Not only is it easy to locate, they have a parking lot on site as well! Less hassle when you’re doing something in downtown LA.

The front desk help were quick & friendly & made sure to check in my party ASAP. We were a few minutes late but we were guaranteed our time slot so long as we didn’t exceed 15 minutes.

After that our instructor Bree(huge shout-out to her!!) explained to us what we were going to be doing & directed us to paint & inspiration wall. She then showed us to our private party room & explained how to set up our paint for our balloons. Also providing keen detail on the paint/water ratio.

She set up balloons & canvas & even helped make sure our BB gun was loaded & had a new gas canister.

**DISCLAIMER: upon arrival we were under the impression that we (a party of 3) were going to get our own canvases. However, we were later told that we would only be SHARING one. Probably the only let down of the whole experience! So make sure you ask questions on what you want/need!!

10/10 would definitely do that again!! It was my crew mate’s bday so we let her keep the canvas as a gift. Would have been cooler if we each got our own canvas though!

I went to a 4-week pottery class here with instructor Yuko, & I had a pretty not-good experience.

Yuko was way more invested in making bowls than she was in genuinely helping anyone become better at pottery. Don't get me wrong, she seems like a sweet lady & very good at what she does (throwing clay), but the teaching part, she definitely struggles with.

She paid very little attention to most of the students in the class, & whenever I would express that I was struggling, instead of helping me out she would do a very fast-paced "demonstration" & kinda be like "See, that's how it's done!"

She also "lost" a couple of bowls; thankfully all seemed to have been found but between the fact that I learned absolutely nothing & this, i would definitely not come back here.

Also, the class is extremely quiet -- if you're social at all (or even just don't like sitting in total silence while you work), then look for someplace else. I certainly will be.

I graduated from this program in 2017 or 2018 and it was one of the best decisions I made during my high school education. This program is incredible. Not only are you taught invaluable knowledge by fantastic artists but it is also an opportunity to meet other creatives of a similar age. This course has helped me pursue a career in fashion design and has most definitely given me a leg up. I highly recommend this course and hope that one day I will be able to give back everything they have done for me! Thank you Ryman Arts!

Nice little studio! Came for the group pottery class and we had a good time. 90 mins class for $65 per person! There is a small lot and a few meter parking spots on the street. Would recommend wearing something you wouldn't mind getting messy. And for the ladies, you might need a hair tie!

Yuli’s beginner ceramics class was so fun!!! She is a great instructor, and there are some wonderful students to chat with, or be frustrated with together :) my bowls get 3 stars but the studio gets 5 easily

This place is great for any aspiring artist, but the workload can be a bit much if you are taking a heavy workload at school. No one holds you accountable for the homework but if you miss assignments, it will get very awkward during the weekly feedback sessions. The instructors can also be extremely blunt and harsh. I wouldn't recommend asking letters of recommendation unless you are exceptional. I also wouldn't recommend applying unless you are truly passionate about art. This is not suitable as a side extracurricular because of the amount of extra work involved.

I taped two auditions/three scenes in less than 45 minutes today. I wasn't prepared for the second audition but Jesse made me feel confident, he was helpful, calm and patient and in the end I really felt like I acted at my best ⭐️ SUPER RECOMMENDED!!

I was planning to enter to Lear how to draw but sadly I can’t draw so I have a low chance to enter but I really looked forward to entering

An amazing program for high school students with helpful, caring staff! (I attended for my senior year and regret not applying sooner!) Classes are comparable to that of a college level studio course and are geared to help students build a portfolio for future college applications. The classes are also easily accessible on the weekends at either Cal State Fullerton or Otis College in DTLA (whichever is closest to you). The supplies and field trips are also free if you get accepted!

Mark is the best there is! His set up and process really brings out your best work. I'm so happy with how my tape turned out and will definitely be going back!

Mark helped me film an audition. His space is great for filming - it is quiet and the lighting is on point. He uploaded the video and emailed to me in a few minutes. Would def go back! Also, parking was super easy.

Mark was wonderful to work with, completely professional and very knowledgeable & insightful. He puts you at ease and clearly knows his stuff. I would totally recommend him not just for for self tapes but also for coaching.

Where did I start? STUDIO ARTS is changing my life for the better. The skills I have developed here are even shocking to me. The teachers are beyond amazing. The staff is beyond spectacular. The Office, IT, and Teaching Staff are kind and will help students in a reasonable way to achieve our educational goals.

The school is accessible by Three (3) major METRO Bus Lines 🚇, and only Five (5) to Fifteen (15) Minutes from Downtown LA. Studio Arts is also close to Three (3) Freeways.

The school teaches in the latest Version of the Computer Graphics Software.

What a person needs to have to be successful, is a true desire, and dedication to learn. A top of the line Computer (Laptop or Desktop, Windows or Mac) with as much Memory as you can get 128 GB or More Recommended, and a Video card with as much Video Randum Access Memory (RAM), and certified by the Software Vendors (AUTODESK, AVID Media Composer, and other Vendors)

On the Mark, Mark!, is such a delight to work with, y'all! He is so giving as a reader and he offers solid adjustments that give you range. I had four scenes to knock out, and Mark made it easy breezy to get through all of them, making the best of our time. We worked, we played, it was merry. Can't wait to come back for the next! :)

Mark provides an excellent service at a great rate, and more importantly he gives top-notch coaching. He is able to articulately and efficiently cut to the core of a scene, allowing you to go deeper while simplifying choices. His style is perfectly suited to film acting, and unlike other places where you feel like they are trying to rush you through as quickly as possible, Mark puts you at ease and makes you feel confident that you recorded strong and professional work.

Just walking in the front door will stimulate your creative energy. What an amazing concept of pulling all of these creative souls together for a place of teaching, learning, creating and sharing. I LOVE IT!!!!
