One of my most loved places in Hoboken and they have very friendly and cheerful staff. I usually drop in around 8 am and get my morning wake up hot coffee to which I add cinnamon and an iced black coffee for my son.
I have been to Baking Mama multiple times. Excellent cupcakes and cakes!! I ordered mini cup cakes for my gender reveal. Ordered cake and cup cakes for my daughter birthday. Overall all the cupcakes and cake I got were so good. The chocolate cupcakes with Strawberry and Raspberry frosting are amazing!
I love Prato! I work a few doors down and this place has become my morning routine. The best latte! Sometimes I go there twice a day to get lunch, too!

Uber Eats Review: The driver was exceptional, whereas the service was abysmal. Their cookies are delicious l, except I’m out of a whole box of special cookies. I was only sent one box of cookie, not cool. I’m not surprised as to what I’m getting in terms to great cookies, but having your s’more cookie ooze all over your box 😉, or not receiving a box at all is what confuddles me every time. Please work on it.
Great cookies but we really wish the baking mama had better hours or stored her salted chocolate chip cookies somewhere!!! 11-4 is hard. But we love you either way.
Perfetto per un caffè. I try to stop in here whenever I can. If I lived in the area it would be daily. Perfect espresso just like the bar in Italia. The cornetto con pistacchio was incredible. Can't find that many places, and it is my favorite. This is an authentic bakery. Highly recommend.
Yummy! We had cinnamon rolls and cookies (Ube, Sea Salt Chocolate Chip, and oatmeal raisin) all so good. The bakery folks were so nice. I'd highly recommend.
this place exceeded my expectations. the food was amazing. the customer service was super fast. given my cookies within five minutes of ordering. the place was clean and very welcoming. 🍪🩷

Best choc chip cookies ever. (The salted ones!) used them for parties too. Amazing cupcakes and always grateful for them. Fun fact this was actually the only establishment I talked to before deciding to move to Hoboken! I think it was the owner, she had a nice chat with me when I was apartment hunting. This was over two years ago. Still a wonderful place for treats!

Excellent cookies! I was so excited to see that Ube was a flavor, and it did not disappoint. Overall, all the cookies I got were so good. Perfect for when you’re craving something sweet.
Drove all the way to Hoboken for cookies to get greeted by nothing except an Ipad. Counters in front were a mess and the girls in the back were talking the entire time. One girl in the back also non stop cursing. I had a question and I think I stood there and said excuse me several times before the girl finally looked up and answered me from the back. They were too busy talking and throwing away cookies. Cookies were crumbly and didn't taste fresh at all. Super expensive and was sad to spend the money. We tried the new 7 Layer Magic Cookie, Stuffed Nutella, The New Classic, and Cookies N Cream. The cookies and cream one was good but too much drizzle on top. The stuffed Nutella was decent, but the 7 layer one was also covered in too much syrup. I would suggest a different store front, maybe display some fake cookies to make the experience more enjoyable; and even though you have Ipads maybe make it a point to greet your customers. I don’t think I will be coming back but maybe it was just bad timing that night.
Cute coffee shop with vintage ceramic crockery and appealing special drinks. We tried the lavender and rose lattes. Both look good, but taste bland & average. The floral taste is too subtle & not impactful.
Great pastries, really fresh and clean. Owner was very nice and friendly and very passionate about his business and what he sells and he brings authentic cheeses from Germany for one of a kind taste.
You will not find better baked goods in Hoboken than at The Old German Bakery. I absolutely love the authentic German apple pie and raspberry cheesecake. Stop by and pick up a sweet treat for yourself or a loved one in your life. You won't be disappointed.

Went for breakfast. Service is excellent. The space is very small inside with not much seating, which is fine, but the tables are comically small for two people. The food menu is limited. Got two savory avocado toasts, a matcha and a dirty chai and it was $35. The food was very good, just kinda hard for me to see past that price. Probably won’t be back but overall nice spot.
Had a wonderful coffee from Hidden Grounds, this location is SO CUTE! Sadly its not very big so not a ton of room to sit and chat. However, their coffee was excellent and the selection of apparel items were adorable (I wanted to buy them all.)

Gluten free cookies were all delicious! Wonderful staff. Wish there was some seating but they did direct me to their little coffee shop a few blocks away (which also sells their baked goods) and has delicious coffee “Hey Coffee People”
Very small place, really it’s to go. There are a couple of chairs inside. We went here to get hot chocolate and I was disappointed. All I tasted was frothy milk. The cocoa powder was not dissolved and so I was drinking something gritty. They had not spoons, I stirred with a flimsy straw. It really had no flavor. I glanced and the sandwiches which were a focaccia square with some sliced meat -$17. Ridiculous price! I just had brunch, a huge plate, from a restaraunt up the street with 2 sides for $17. It’s just not worth it.
A delightful and authentic German bakery. Great variety and always tastes fresh. The folks who run it are super kind and happy to explain some of the more niche options. An asset to Hoboken!
I had a small book club meeting here and it was delightful. Everyone ended up with completely different, unique drinks, there was some food option for everyone's dietary concerns, and it wasn't difficult to get a 4-person table on a Saturday afternoon. We stayed for a couple hours with no issue, and a lot of us brought home tea leaves or coffee beans to make at home. Would definitely come back, it's so hard to find a nice meeting place like this in Hoboken.
We opted to order our wedding cake from Sweet because we wanted to use a local bakery and didn't want a '"traditional" wedding cake. I fell in love with a vintage style heart shaped cake design and Sweet baked us the most beautiful and delicious cake. When my husband picked it up the day before our wedding and showed it to me, I gasped because it was exactly what I had envisioned. We highly recommend Sweet and can't wait to try more of their delicious treats.
Absolutely love the tomato pastry - it's my go to anytime I walk by and it's not a Monday. It's a flaky pastry pocket with tomato sauce and olive flavor.
In the past there had been a more Parmesan heavy version which I miss. But this savory one still hits the spot.

This place has been open only with a cart in front of the actual bakery for at least past couple years I think. Not sure why they don’t accomodate customers into their bakery. Because it’s been only with a cart, I haven’t been curious enough to try out but grabbed couple of those pastries recently.

So amazing and crispy !! Each bite was so delicious, takes me back to Monopoli Italy !! Def try this authentic place. Imported from Tuscany Italy! Also many varieties!
Elegant, aesthetically well kept and authentic but modern menu. Food items and coffee are well crafted and prepared to meet the expectations of your taste buds. A must visit cafe if you are in the area. Can’t wait to visit again.
Pastries on point everything I bought was delicious and my family loved it . My opinion it was nothing out of this world but if the ladies in my life approve who am I to judge 🍧🍨🎂🍰🍭🍮🧁🥧🥮🍩🍪 I would have given them 5 stars for service but it was a Sunday and it was a mad house . Atmosphere was lively but it was too early for so much happiness for me .
I recently visited this charming coffee shop and was pleasantly impressed! The special coffees they offer are a true delight – rich in flavor and expertly brewed. We were treated badly by this lady. We ordered 4 hot drinks and 5 pastries. She was delaying making our order in purpose and making others orders , finally she gave us 3 hot drinks instead of 4 and I kept waiting about 20 minutes when I asked her why? She said I don’t know your order 😹 I said how come? She had an attitude And started to make my coffee.

My specialty batch of sugar cookies came out perfect! They took great care to decorate each one. The cookies were just right -- neither too crispy nor too cakey. It always smells so nice when I go in. I definitely can't wait to try one of their cupcakes someday! My coworkers swear by this place, and I can tell why.
Tried a couple different desserts! The overall experience definitely doesn't live up to the hype, staff very indifferent, a little on the pricey given expectations not met but maybe when management present its a different experience! Plus side not that long of a wait!

The only reason we came here is because my girlfriend used to watch the TV show. I realized this is nothing but a tourist trap. The quality at this bakery is mediocre! By the way… we got 4 smalls treats for $40! Absolutely nothing special about this place. I feel sorry for the firs timers that come here with high standards everyday. The best bakeries are in Latham NY!
This bakery shop is a perfect spot for a delicious post-lunch dessert. The desserts are both quick and scrumptious, with a wide variety to choose from. The cozy ambiance adds to the experience, making it a must-visit for sweet cravings!
Hidden gem coffee shop it is. the coffee menu is very exclusive. I recommend the cappuccino, lavender cold brew .. absolutely loved the Everything cream cheese croissant.. this gets a 10/10 rosé infused donut tasted phenomenal (rose infused gulab jamun Flavors). The interiors was exquisite /comfortable and seating indoor/outdoor . Bonus for me was to see Bangalore/Bengaluru pic and the painting of the lady with Veena (growing up in bangalore the painting was 💖💖).. I randomly stopped to get a coffee loved it and will be here regularly going fwd.

It was my first time visiting the bakery, i had a bacon egg and cheese on a Roll and I can tell that the Roll (bread) was hard as a rock and the bacon was very dry, even the ones at Wawa are better. We also had two pastry’s and they were ok, nothing special, just good.
The place inside has like 3 tables and there’s no restrooms for the customers which I think it’s ridiculous. I had to go to the Shake&Shack one block away.

SO!!! They have the best red velvet and chocolate cup cake.. move over NYC bakeries.. the cup cakes are bite size, perfect sweetness (lemon was a bit sweeter) and no artificial ingredients.. it’s pure indulgence.. the decor is simple but super cute with some very exciting sprinkles..my hubby got 6 cupcakes 🧁 and absolutely loved it.. had to share pumpkin one with my Goldie because it seems it smelled delish.. as you can see he kept following me

I have always been such a huge fan of the show so of course I have to make the stop by whenever I'm near the area. Sometimes it's a bit difficult to get a parking spot on the street but there is also a parking garage you can use close by. The little town offers other cute stores to make the stop there even better. The options are endless in this bakery they have SO many sweet treats to choose from. The cupcakes have amazing flavor and the icing is the perfect sweet. Also, they have this mousse thing that is 10/10. Some of the items are a little pricey but I think that's just in comparison to my hometown small town bakeries. Still definitely worth the visit! Thr pictures I'm sharing are older but the only ones I could find!
This was not the experience I expected. I was really really excited to visit since I use to watch the show and always wanted to go there. The lady who greeted us when we walked in was very nice and told us to take our time as we looked to see what wanted. The gentleman that helped us get our order did not seem like he wanted to be there. They had full cakes on display for 2 of the slices I ordered but when they were given to us they were pre packaged which I think the gentleman should have explained to us. My brother had stopped at a rest stop on the way back home and saw the Carlos bakery slices in a vending machine which really made me feel like I wasted my time when I could’ve got the same thing out of the vending machines. The pizza slice was really good. The fruit tart was not that great, but the other pastries were good. I was just surprised that the slices were not fresh and the person helping us was not very welcoming.
I ordered the rose chai out of curiosity and it was a lovely flavor, not overpowering at all yet still Rosie . I can’t pass up a pistachio donut and it was super flavorful and full of spices.
Simply love the place. A no frills, easy on pocket bakery serving the best authentic Germany desserts and bakery items. Family owned and operated and serving the fresh right out of oven. A must visit if you are in the neighborhood.

I ordered from Uber Eats and WOW! Insomnia is nothing to rave about compared to Cookie Connection. These are my favorite cookies I have had. The s'mores, fruity pebble and M&M ones were delicious and still warm upon arrival. I loved that the s'mores cookie was covered in melted marshmallow and chocolate. Order got to me quick. They were so good, I ordered another one to be delivered :)
Best cookie I’ve ever had in my life, worth traveling to Jersey for if you’re out of state. Its ooey, its gooey, its decadent. On days you need a big hug but cannot have one at your convenience, this will do the trick.

Café Vista, tucked away in the back streets of Hoboken, is a delightful little gem that actually reminds me of the charm of a Parisian café mixed with the warmth of grandma's kitchen. It sounds like an odd combo but it works! The ambiance is cozy and inviting, and I loved the fact my coffee and breakfast were served on old British porcelain!
The service was friendly, attentive, and given the small size of the place, quick. My avocado toast with feta was delicious, although I would have preferred the bread to be served warm. As for the cappuccino, it didn't quite hit the mark for me personally. It had a slightly bitter taste, but I guess that's just a matter of personal preference.
I am glad I came here (among other things to support local business), and even if some things did not hit the mark, I will come back, give it another try. It is indeed a very nice place to enjoy a coffee at.

Looking for an amazing bakery, go to Sweet in Hoboken on 3rd and Garden. Not only was our red velvet cake delicious but absolutely gorgeous!
Such a cute place to hang out and drink fresh coffee. They serve drinks and food in unique cups and plates which is super cute. I tried their spinach pie and loved it! I would definitely go there and have a coffee and feel the atmosphere. Recommend it very much!
I recently visited Old German Bakery and was blown away by the amazing selection of German pastries, bread, cakes, and coffee. It was heartwarming to see that this is a family-run business, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel like part of the family. I tried the Nutella croissant and it was absolutely delicious - the perfect balance of flaky pastry and rich Nutella filling. The bakery has so many options to choose from, and everything looked fresh and tempting. The staff were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about their products, and they truly made me feel at home. If you're in Hoboken and looking for a tasty treat, I highly recommend checking out Old German Bakery!
Best cupcakes I had so far in Hoboken. They have mini versions of all flavors. They also have gluten free cookies and brownies. Must try - Chocolate ganache cupcake and Red Velvet cupcake.
Some of the best cookies I’ve ever had! They make a great special treat for a friend or family member with super unique and delicious flavor combos like cinnamon bun and apple pie (my absolute fave). I don’t think I’ll ever go back to Insomnia now that I know Cookie Connect exists.
I don have cupcakes/muffins very often, but today we tried the mini ones from Sweet and they were absolutely amazing! They are flavorful, tasty and with a nice texture! Our favorite one was the mocha one!! Lovely store with lovely cupcakes! 💯 recommended!
Last night it was my birthday, I came here after dinner and I could not imagine any other better service, or dessert in the city. The 2 girls last night behind the counter were absolutely fantastic, they made my birthday feel so special. I appreciate the cookies. You guys rocked! I hope the manager see this and applauds them for the service, communication, and how nice they were. 10/10 cookies will be back.
The place and staff get 4/5 stars! Literally no complaints. It’s not ideal for working, but it’s still a very welcoming establishment. The staff was so friendly, attentive, and accommodating!
I ordered a decaf iced latte w almond milk and something tasted off, but it could be my taste buds. I ordered my mom a cappuccino w almond milk and she found it delicious. I think you should def try it at least once and see if it’s your cup of … coffee 😉

Super cute and delicious coffee shop! I got a pistachio latte that was the perfect amount of flavor so you can taste it but not overwhelm the coffee flavor. I also got a tiny loaf of banana bread that was insanely moist and delicious! I will definitely be coming here more often!
One thing I love about these cup cakes are that they have a density to them. Unlike other cupcakes that are super soft and sometimes fall apart way too easy. Not these. The thickness adds to the cupcake and it’s sometime I appreciate. The flavors are great. Definitely filling.

Go here if you want to find the best and authentic Italian food in Hoboken! Cantucci are addictive and all the types of focaccia are super yummy! It’s the best place to have a cappuccino and a brioche in the morning or a quick but delicious lunch in the afternoon. Staff is AMAZING!!!!!
