First time in Hamburg and wanted to try truffle pasta so booked in advanced this place , since it’s November and it was rain outside and it turned out we were in this area we tried a chance and came 20 min earlier then our reservation. We kindly asked if we can sit 20 min earlier ( since it was really cold outside and restaurant was more than half empty ) on what we received an answer from hostess girl - “ no, we don’t have a sit “
And made us wait outside in a cold ( not even offering to sit for 10 min at the bar ) with 0 smile, 0 emotions and completely unprofessional and absolutely zero customer focus.
Felt deeply disappointed and obviously went to the other restaurant for food .
If it was no other place nearby our evening would be ruined.
Don’t know name of the girl ( she was on reservation blond with long hair )

Absolutely amazing lunch- fresh pasta (pistachio pesto with Burrata and Truffle pasta) was exceptional. Bruschetta was fresh, with warm bread. Tiramisu was very sweet, but a nice treat. Best Italian food!

A small Italian restaurant in Hamburg city centre with outdoor seating, nice neutral decor and bright seating spaces. The Carbonara I tried tasted good, with good portion sizes and a wide variety of drinks available.
This place has great potential, it was hard to get a table and even with reservation I couldn't get a table outside, such a pity. Shakshuka was incredible but unfortunately I cannot say the same for the Egg Benedict. The yoke was not running it was overcooked. Coffee was ok.

Great food and drinks, we had the tuna sandwich and home made lemonade. Good location, particularly nice outdoor seating
We stopped for brunch and loved the eggs Benedict and blueberry pancakes. You can really taste the quality ingredients and the staff are very friendly. We came around noon on a Saturday and it was full, so I recommend making reservations if you come in a larger group.
Delicious eggs florentine, French toast and a hummus sourdough bread. Furthermore, the staff were extremely friendly. Thanks a lot for this great experience. 👌
Food was delicious - their foie gras is EXCELLENT as was their salmon appetizer. For dessert, I had the profiteroles. Service was good and the overall ambiance, while good, was missing that typical French flair that I happen to really like when I eat at a bistro.

This was utterly delicious. Ask for the Çilbir brunch plate, lots of flavors, delicious. Coffee was very good and well made too, French toast was too sweet for me but the wife enjoyed it. Accepts PayPal (which is awesome for me).

But, I strongly recommend booking a table in advance, because I was there with my friends on Monday evening and the place was absolutely backed, nobody could have gotten a table without reservation after 17:00.
Very pleasant ambience, food was amazing, even though we couldn’t get Lasagna and Carbonara because of issues with logistics, we were offered several alternatives and were happy about it.
It was very busy and at first it was quite clear that there is not enough staff, but then we noticed another staff member joined, so I applaud such a quick ability to adapt to sudden change in the business of the restaurant.
All in all, a great place to visit and I am glad I saw a recommendation on instagram to visit this place! I am definitely going back.

Ordered the gorgonzola pasta which was delicious. Atmosphere was nice and service quick and friendly. Reservations are recommended as it was quite busy
I love this place and every time I’m in Hamburg I make sure to go there at least once. Service is great, food is delicious with a 3 course menu option with several dishes to choose from. It’s always packed and it’s small so be sure to book in advance.
Ein sehr schönes Restaurant, Ambiente eines typischen französischen Bistros. Sehr gute Küche, professioneller und effizienter Service. Die Preise sind allerdings gepfeffert. 8,90€ für eine Flasche ungebrandetes Wasser ist schon etwas albern. Trotzdem eine sehr empfehlenswerte Adresse.

The food is good, and the location is great. But keep in mind, our waitress spoke 0% English, this café is in one of the most tourist areas of the city, also they offer an English menu what makes it even more weird that the people working there don't speak English. It's worth the struggle just to try the desserts and breakfasts
You can’t go wrong at this place. Top quality seafood, friendly staff and a modern & classy atmosphere inside at very casual prices. Perfect meal after an afternoon of walking around the HafenCity area along the Elbe or Rathausmarkt and seeing Hamburg’s sights

Decent priced Indian food right inside the railway station. Ideal for a quick bite during the transit. Good variety of Indian dishes and super delicious obviously. It's very rare to come across good Indian food outside India. They adjust the spiciness according to your choice. Have tried the chicken biryani twice at this place and it is highly recommended by me.
Mango Lassi ungenießbar, den kann ich gar nicht empfehlen. 2 Stk Samosa für 5,50€ waren lecker.

First I wanted to set 3 stars, cause flat white I ordered was quite bad :-( too hot and tastes also bad. But cheesecake was just amazing and it fixed situation a bit. Atmosphere also quite nice there, so quite nice place for a short stop.
It's a great cozy quiet shop, the staff was friendly and the coffee was good. Recommend!

At first I thought they are going to go shy on their spice and spiciness, but good thing they don’t. It is conveniently located at the food court of Hamburg Hbf, so it’s not hard to find it. What’s more important is that it’s delicious!

A nice restaurant located next to the Hamburg City Hall. You can sit down without waiting too long in line. Friendly and warm staff welcomes you. You don't have to wait long to order. I can say that I found the taste sufficient.

The venue has a lot of charme, even tho it looks very simple. I can get loud at times which is kind of expected as there is never an empty table....or.. rarely.
Booking would be recommended, I guess.

Ich hatte das Chicken Tikka, ein Knoblauch naan und einen Mango Lassi.
Zuerst Mal das positive:
Der Service ist freundlich, die Portion war groß also man wird auf jeden Fall satt.
Ich wurde beim bestellen gefragt ob ich scharf will und nachdem ich scharf bestellt hab war das Chicken Tikka auch tatsächlich schön scharf. Die Sauce beim Chicken Tikka und das Gemüse waren sehr lecker, der Mango Lassi auch.
Was leider nicht so gut war, war das Knoblauch Naan Brot, es war kein bisschen fluffig und sehr trocken :(
Auch das Fleisch beim Chicken Tikka war nicht so gut, ich hatte auf jeden Fall schonmal besseres.

Wäre es ein Restaurant in der Stadt, würde ich nicht hingehen. Wenn man allerdings bedenkt, dass es direkt im Bahnhof ist und die hier mit Sicherheit keinen echten tandoor aufstellen können, war es doch ganz gut.

Zum 54. Hochzeitstag wurden wir von unserem Sohn zu einem Essen bei Scherrer eingeladen. Es war nicht einfach Essen, es war Speisen ein Traumhaftes Menü. Eine natürliche und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Schönes Ambiente. Ein Einblick in die Küche hat den Abend abgerundet. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch. Danke auch für den herzlichen Empfang.
We liked the food we ordered and the portions are enough. The place can be really really busy. It’s an overpriced place, the service isn’t the best, the place isn’t thaaatt clean; tables, the menu needs a new touch FOR SURE and in busy days going to the toilet? Good luck! (Dirty)

Ja, das Landhaus Scherrer ist schon eine ganz besondere Adresse mit oft ganz besonders anstrengenden Gästen, die man dann auch als Gast mit erträgt. Beste Küche, beste Weine, freundlicher salopper Service, den wir mögen. Preise fair. Und das Ambiente - ist eben Scherrer und nicht 0815

Nice interior, great location in historical places. Fish was very fresh, was nice to try original Hamburger recipe.
Sehr gutes authentisches Essen. Ich hatte das Chicken tikka Masala und es schmeckte großartig. Die Bedingung war sehr freundlich und das Essen war definitiv den Preis von 12,80€ wert.

Very good place and good value for money. I read in the comments that the place is quite overrated. I completely disagree. For 11€ you can get a fish and chips, with delicious soft cod and crispy tasty fries. The fries are definitely to try with their delicious sauce. Service is super fast and there is plenty of space to sit. Also very convenient spot just in front of the Rathaus! I would definitely recommend if you are spending a few days in Hamburg and want to try some fish and chips

I went there based on reviews. I found the place quite overrated. I had the Matjesbroetchen, and for good measures I also had the fish and chips. The Matjesbroetchen was alright but sure you can do better for less in something a little more honest just off the beaten track. The fish and chips was terrible. The fish was overcooked, dry and the batter had no crunch. The staff looked uninterested and wasn't particular friendly. Simply put, there was nothing original about this place. But if you just look to tick a box, it will do...
Da unser Zug ausfiel hatten wir viel Zeit im Bahnhof und wollten mit der Familie essen gehen. Durch Zufall, haben wir diesen tollen Inder gefunden und für die ganze Familie etwas bestellt. Jeder fand sein Essen richtig gut und wir kommen gerne wieder.
Es ist ein einfaches Prinzip, sodass zu jedem essen Reis und etwas Salat auf einen Teller serviert wird und dazu die gewählte Speise in einem extra Schälchen daher kommt. Es war nicht zu scharf, aber dennoch sehr gut gewürzt.

Es ist ein einfaches Prinzip, sodass zu jedem essen Reis und etwas Salat auf einen Teller serviert wird und dazu die gewählte Speise in einem extra Schälchen daher kommt. Es war nicht zu scharf, aber dennoch sehr gut gewürzt.

Schöner Imbiss/ Restaurant! Wir haben eine tolle Kräftige Suppe gegessen mit frischen Koriander und Hühnerfleisch als Einlage, top. Sushi war frisch und lecker 😋. Preislich unschlagbar!

Good and cheap Indian food right in the middle of the train station. The Naans were kinda dry, but besides, from that the food was as expected for the price.
Good place for fish eaters . The portions are big , good value of money . If you like to experiment Hamburger fish styles and cookings , it is the place .
Hier gönnt man sich etwas Besonderes! Eine gediegene Atmosphäre, hervorragendes, freundliches Personal, erstklassiges, schmackhaftes Essen. Viele Gerichte bekommt man auch als halbe Portion, so dass ich mir drei Gänge leisten konnte.

This Japanese restaurant offers superb sushi with generous eel portions and also very delicious ramen noodles. Sadly it is closed on weekends. Overall, a great spot, but plan accordingly.

Doesn’t allow big dogs, but small ones are ok - seems like a made up rule. I want to add that the cafe was completely empty and it had just started showering with rain and we were only hoping to seek shelter and have a coffee.

Das Essen ist lecker, die Bedienung hervorragend. Einen kleinen Punktabzug gibt es, weil Amex nicht akzeptiert wird. Das ist in Anbetracht der durchaus gehobenen Preise ein bisschen kleinkariert.
Sehr leckeres Essen, überaus freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Einfach ein tolles Erlebnis. Wir kommen gern wieder 👍 gestern waren wir wieder im Restaurant und waren wieder schwer begeistert. Usually, not a problem, but before they reopened, my was scheduled to return to the US and her passport, ID and all her money where in that purse. There is no way she could go home without it!
Through a miracle we got a hold of the owner and he came in the middle of the night, on a cold, rainy German day to bring us the purse. What a wonderful, kind and thoughtful human being. I love establishments that are run by people and not corporations and I am wishing you the very best of luck in all your business endeavors! You definitely got the concept of hospitality down!!! Vorweg das Essen war geschmacklich ganz okay und einigermaßen ansprechend angerichtet. Doch die Bedienung war katastrophal und wer Allergien hat oder einer strikten vegetarisch/veganen Diät folgt ist hier definitiv nicht gut aufgehoben. Es wird so viel durcheinander gebracht und auf Verständnis stößt man nicht. Sehr schade...

Wir hatten die Jacobsmuscheln und das Steinbutt-Filet gewählt - Die Jacobsmuscheln schmelzen am Gaumen, wirklich phantastisch. Der Steinbutt ist für € 51,50 eher etwas klein geraten, war aber auch sehr lecker - Als Gruß aus der Küche gab es eine geeißte Gurkensuppe mit Krabben. Ob man Vegetarier oder Veganer ist, wurde allerdings nicht gefragt ebenso keine Frage nach Allergien - war aber bei uns kein Problem. Die Frage sollte aber bitte Routine sein, wenn Sachen serviert werden, die nicht bestellt wurden.

Platziert wurden wir (unsere Begleitung ist 92 Jahre alt) bei sonst leerem Restaurant direkt neben einer sehr lauten und sehr großen Gesellschaft - das muß nicht sein und hat uns wirklich sehr gestört.
Eine deutliche Enttäuschung war auch der Chablis, der wurde wirklich zu warm serviert, bei der Verkostung war dann auch noch schwarzer Schmutz (eventuell Plastik vom Verschluss) im Glas, der erst nach Beschwerde abdekantiert wurde.
So etwas serviert man dem Gast nicht !
Das Argument für den warmen Chablis war, die Gläser seien zu warm - nach dem der Wein dann eine Zeit im Eiskühler war mundete er sehr gut.
Solchen Ärger kann man eigentlich auch vermeiden - die anschließende Führung des sehr netten Sommelier durch den Weinkeller war ein versöhnlicher Trost.
Zum negativen Gesamteindruck gehört auch das Ambiente, das Landhaus erinnert mehr an einen Dorfkrug als an ein Gourmet- Restaurant in einer Weltstadt, alles wirkt plüschig und altbacken - man fühlt sich da in 2022 nicht wohl, jüngere Gäste kann man damit nicht gewinnen. Schade !!!

In einem gehobenen Restaurant waren wir doch sehr erstaunt obgleich einer solchen Reaktion. Nachdem der Wein auf Eis gelegt war, hatte er dann bald eine angemessene Temperatur. Die Diskussion musste absolut nicht sein, das machte auch der abschließende Besuch im Weinkeller nicht wett.
Der Service insgesamt war ok, unserer Meinung jedoch nicht dem Niveau angemessen.

I like the look and feel and vibe of this place a lot BUT (and a BIG BUT), it's not a good choice if you don't like cigarette smoke. There is a smoking room upstairs and the whole place has a smokey smell. That hasn't changed in a decade unfortunately. For me, it's the one thing that ruins this bar.
It could also be improved by offering a non-alcoholic cocktail menu. There is only one on offer and not mentioned on the drinks menu at all.

The best egg sushi - tamago sushi I have ever had! It was so soft and full of flavor! The shop is pretty small, so not recommended for long stay.

Eigentlich NULL Sterne !! NudelBox mit Rindfleisch - schmeckt wie es aussieht zum kotzen !! Die Karotten sind aus der Dose, das Fleisch in einer Brühe warmgehalten und das Rindfleisch sehr wursthaftig ?! Nicht weiter zu empfehlen !! Und dann noch für 6,50€ !! REAL Japanese Sushi, everybody!! Haven't had a Miso Soup this good since I was in Japan. Unfortunately the place is more like a quick restaurant. Probably won't go anywhere else for my Sushi ever again, except the country Japan.
I ordered the Seetang Ramen and sushi. The sushi was fresh and good. But the ramen was a total waste of money, it was flavorless and just plain. Will not be going here for ramen again.

If you're ever in Farmsen, you need to stop by this restaurant. Their soup dish is outta this world. Also they have the best Duck(Ente)that you can eat.
Our favorite sushi place in Hamburg and we tried many! Always great quality and fresh, excellent fish and affordable prices. We go to this place frequently and it always feels like a treat!
An ideal place for a few drinks at the heart of Altona. Casual and cozy atmosphere. They also serve tasty Flammkuchen. Staff is really nice and helpful.
