So happy we found this coffee shop today. Great toasties and tea, really reasonably priced. We were welcomed at the door and given menus. Service was friendly, efficient and really liked that tables were cleared and cleaned immediately. Industrial chic decor, felt really comfortable. Will certainly return

Went for drinks on a busy Saturday.

Cocktails were fine, some thought has been put in to make them seasonal and a nice twist, but overall felt like nothing special.

Food was ok, service was good considering how busy it was but nothing amazing.

Good quality food and service. The place itself is quite big and there's plenty of seating available either inside or outside. The restaurant is well decorated with Christmas decorations. The outside area looked very nice and cosy, there are heaters by the tables and blankets are also provided. I would imagine this is very popular in the evenings.
Overall it was a good experience and I would definitely recommend going here.

I had Brunch here yesterday, smoked salmon with hollandaise sauce . I am now bent over the toilet being sick, every few minutes . The food was luke warm when I ate it and I started feeling uncomfortable very soon after leaving. I will never return.it does not deserve even one star
I am in shock this place was amazing and I have never enjoyed such a great meal in a long time , me and my friend were warmly welcomed by the owner and the staff that provide a great services and they will definitely see me again ❤️💯🥰

Really amazing food. True mixture of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavours ❤️

The grilled chicken, cauliflower and mango baclava are to die for.

Chicken and lamb are halal.

Delicious meal, quick service, really nice atmosphere. The hangar steak and smoked potatoes were standouts for us, and the green salad was great. Really lovely place!
This was amazing food and the service was great. Highly recommend!

Egg smoked salmon sandwich was very delicious. I prefer to have more eggs and less salmon in it. Very nice and friendly employees especially Kate. Prices are high. It shouldn’t be more than £10 for the sandwich. Orange juice is around £4.50 which is also expensive. There are seats inside and you can charge your phone which I needed that day.

The place was, unsurprisingly, packed for brunch on a Sunday, so booking ahead was a good idea.

Food was delicious with loads of interesting sweet and savoury options. Would be happy to return to try more of them and recommend as a lovely place to brunch.

Prices about standard for London. Some of the seating was a little dense so could feel uncomfortably close to neighbouring tables if you are not seated in the middle.

Don't pay for tickets in advance for Thursday night, as no one else was made to pay on the door and the event could be cancelled, or reduced as I was told, if a private function hires part of the venue.

Nice breakfast buns. I had an egg and bacon sandwich and it was good. I wasn’t blown away but it was a tasty breakfast. Seemed quite pricey, but it was still a nice start to the day. More bread options would be nice! Would go back though :)

Food is really good and the concept to share within the table is nice! Best choices were the hommus, the lamb and desserts, specially the chocolate mousse and the mango one!
Deliciouuuuuuus food! I've been there a few times and everything on the menu is so yummy. The service is great, most attentive staff. Will definitely go back!

They have rats!!!!! We sat down in a table in a corner . A table booked for 10, service was slow to say the least and it appeared we were then being rushed to order dessert!! I looked to my right to see a rat scurry down the wall into the kitchen area?!! We then saw 2 traps!! We confronted the manager who tried to keep us quiet!! Who made it clear he and his staff knew about the infestation and offered us free food but told us we would be charged for drinks!!!! We then spotted another rodent!! It’s appalling DO NOT EAT THERE. We contacted environmental health within 24 hours!! It should not still be open and certainly not serving food and drinks!!!!
The manager tried to shhh up he was clearly aware and was behaving unprofessional and deceitful
No photos as of course the last thing u expect is to grab your phone and take a pic of a running rat!!!!

Lovely local spot in the financial district that I popped into while on mini holiday in London. The coffee pour over was amazing and well worth the wait. Smooth and lovely. The Turkish eggs with halloumi was outstanding. The flavors mixed so well. It was very satisfying and a far cry from the traditional breakfast I was thinking to order. The waiter recommended this flavor explosion and he was spot on. I took a picture for all you folks but couldn’t help digging in right away.
Had an amazing dinner last night. Atmosphere was cozy, the service was good and the food was great. We’ve shared a couple of starters, ceviche and a meat main and everything was delicious, particularly the scallops - only downside was the price of guacamole and house wine a bit expensive, also we’ve waited a bit on the main but the staff apologies and it was definitely worth the wait. Will definitely come back!

An indulgent breakfast experience. The dine in seating is more fast food like and isn't very comfortable. Good for the food but not the best place for a catch up.

I made a mistake on my reservation but the staff working today were very kind and were able to serve our large group (of 9 people) during lunch. They informed us that service may be slow as there were only two of them at the time but there were no problems at all. As for the food, I’m not a fan of bean sprouts at all, but for their pad Thai, I can always make an exception.

This place was fantastic.

3 people, 3 meals, 3 rave reviews.

Great food!! Lovely staff & service.

My only minus is it’s a little on the expensive side.

I think adding 1 sausage or 2 slices of halloumi or a couple pieces of streaky bacon @ £5 a piece is bit ridiculous.

This bar adds expensive service charge on top of drinks bill when you visit and order at the bar to be served. That’s just crazy, and a Rip off. There was no receipt given or sign advising. Prices are already premium. It goes against what is the norm in the service industry. Service should be paid with discretion when actually served IE at the table where there is table service. I asked manager to refund the service charge. This has to stop and shouldn’t be legal. Many unassuming customers do not know they are paying this additional charge. Will not return.

Contemporary setting that’s welcoming but not particularly pulsing with atmosphere.
Big on the Toasties here with a spread of pastries cakes and the usual brunch/lite-bite selection. Some V+VV options.
Service is efficient, prices reasonable, portion hearty and unlikely to disappoint.
Healthy and hearty breakfast in the heart of Shoreditch. You’ll need to make a booking on weekends as it gets busy! Love the Turkish eggs with Lamb koftas and the smashed avocado. Corn fritters are good here too!

Highly recommended ! I like that this place offers a tasty balanced diet - the salads and courgette are so tasty with different layers of flavour. The fish dish is very fresh and the use of vinegar brings the best flavour.

We were in the area and looking for somewhere to have a coffee. There were surprisingly few coffee shops in the area, and we happened upon eggslut so popped in. The coffee was very standard for a chain (not good but not terrible). The food and service though we're exceptionally good.

I can only rate the drinks and their pods, I love their coffees, matcha & chai lattes. The baristas are really skilled!

It is a cool environment to work, not so much to chill. Unfortunately the old street construction site ruins a bit the vibe but is not their fault.

Friendly enough greeting, clean with good music and comprehensive gluten free menu differentiating coeliac and gluten intolerant guests. 2-4-1 cocktails, mostly enthusiastic servers, reasonably priced but weirdly inauthentic food with buckets of rice. Never had a Vietnamese egg roll that tiny, with that flavour profile or sweet dipping ‘sauce’ and one lonely mint leaf. My seafood Laksa was OK, green curry was green and Rendang was punchy and spicy as it should be. But we came for the location, bookability and turnaround before seeing a show. It delivered. Shame their loyalty system was ‘broken’ so they couldn’t give us what was marketed in the toilets, as one of these has just opened near us and it’s deffo good enough to scratch a SE Asian itch.

Food is delicious. Lots of different flavours.

Burnt aubergine is like babaganoush. Yum!

The mango baklava is nice but it's got way too much mascarpone in my opinion.

Quite expensive for every day lunch but nice as a treat every now and then.

I will definitely be back for breakfast to try the Shakshuka.
My best friend and I stayed at this hotel and we had the nicest experience. The room was perfect size, the staff were amazing, all receptionist and staff were super friendly, welcoming, fun and lively, extremely accommodating. The location of the hotel is perfect too, a few blocks away from Hyde park, shops and tube station. The area also felt very safe. Would definitely go back and stay again. Thank you!
Good food, at normal prices. Service was in general good, but it seemed a bit overwhelmed at some point, when the restaurant was full. The ambience was nice, being a bit too noisy at some point. In general I would recommend it and I would go again.

It was my first time there and I definitely don't recommend it! The music is nothing special, the security is very unpleasant, I don't know if I would give you even one star, there are definitely better clubs in London! they themselves ask everyone to give them 5 stars at the entrance, don't go there!
Just go and eat everything you see on the menu. It’s all good!!!!! Ecuadorian food - what a discovery!

Went there for breakfast and to watch the women’s final.
Food was awful… eggs Benedict overcooked/ overpriced for a stale muffin like bread with old wilted brown leaves of some description and yellow dollop of hollandaise like blob.
Service was non existent, a disinterested waitress who did not even bring the cutlery.
Fresh orange juice tasted like it was out of a long life carton.
Wife had a dodgy stomach for 2 days after eating their flatbread shakshuka which was also accompanied by browned stale leaves.
Table next to us sent back 2 of their full English breakfasts, looked even worse than ours with rubberised eggs and bacon that was still alive.
I mean how can you get a full English breakfast so wrong…
So disappointing, kitchen should be ashamed of sending out food like that.

Ordered three drinks at the bar which came to £28 pound. When I asked why my bill was so much, the guy behind the bar said it includes service charge! I immediately asked him to take it off and when the manager arrived to refund me, he was very rude and said all the bars charge this and it is because I ordered a few drinks (3 in total). He also said it is stated in the menu but I don't need a menu when I'm buying a pint of lager so not a valid reason. It's really unacceptable and daylight robbery when there is "no service" as such. I will be making a formal complaint.

If there's one word that encapsulates my experience at 'Grind' in London, it's "contrasts." From the tantalizing flavors of the breakfast dishes to the frustrating service hiccups, this restaurant offers both the highs and lows that make for an interesting dining adventure.

Let's start with the surroundings. As I stepped into Grind, I was immediately struck by the vibrant energy and sleek decor. However, the unfortunate construction noise from the surrounding areas and the constant drilling and crane operating sounds were like an unwelcome symphony that disrupted what could have been a more peaceful dining atmosphere. It's worth noting that the management might have little control over this, but it did impact my overall experience.

The servers, on the other hand, seemed to be grappling with the chaos around them. Breakfast hours are meant to set a positive tone for the day, but it was evident that the staff were overwhelmed, even at this early hour. A bit more organization and preparedness would go a long way in enhancing the service quality. Despite reminding them politely multiple times, we had to wait for cutlery, water, and extra plates, which can be quite frustrating.

Now, let's delve into the culinary journey. The full breakfast, pancakes, and French toast were undeniably the stars of the show. The chef's prowess in the kitchen was evident as each dish was a symphony of flavors and textures that tantalized my taste buds. However, the brilliance of these dishes was overshadowed by the steep price tag that accompanied them. While I'm more than willing to pay for quality, the prices felt a bit too rich for a standard breakfast outing.

It's worth mentioning that our bill left us with some sticker shock – a hefty 150 pounds for a breakfast for five is undoubtedly a steep investment. While I appreciate fine dining experiences, I also believe that the balance between quality and value should be upheld.

In conclusion, 'Grind' has its charms and its challenges. The delectable breakfast offerings are a testament to the kitchen's skill, but the service struggles and the disruptive construction noises did put a damper on the overall experience. I hope that the management takes heed of the feedback and takes steps to improve both the service efficiency and the dining ambiance. With a bit of refining, 'Grind' has the potential to shine even brighter in London's bustling culinary scene.

Great food and the best thing is that it's reasonably priced. We were lucky to get a seat for 4 after walking in. Def suggest booking in advance. 1 page menu so easy to keep things simple, the rose glass and the Martini complimented the choices of food. Will def be taking friends. Note 12.5% service charge included in the bill prior to asking.

Prime city location of Devonshire. We joined at lunch hour. The manager had a little attitude problem when they misheard my colleague ask for recommendations on professional drinks (when they actually said refreshments). I confronted the manager on their inappropriate scoffing and body language and she then apologised. The food was pretty good, burger and chips. And location of the restaurant is pretty close to everything else, but tucked within a square of brickworked building so if you want views, this isn't the place, but they certainly made the best of the design and layout

Had a really fun night, very good music, level -2, 80’s 90’s songs which me and my friends really enjoyed and level -1, a good mix of R&b and reggaeton. UNFORTUNATELY, the security guy (really short one) was rude and had a big attitude for no reason, should respect customers as we are the ones who keep your business going.

Hit this place up for lunch with three other colleges. Food was tasty, service could have been a bit more attentive, but realise it was peak lunchtime. Nice atmosphere with a chilled vibe. Will come again.
Rip off. They drive up their reviews by offering you a free shot for 5 stars before you get downstairs. The shot has next to no alcohol in it. Once you get downstairs, there’s no one there. Arrived at 11pm on a Friday night and it was dead.
If you’re looking for a quick tasty food in a chilled environment this is the place. Super warm and welcoming, music great, service even better. Food nearly got a 10/10 though the katsu sauce lacked a little depth. Fritters were dope af.

Would honestly recommend! Also the cocktails were extremely scrumptious! Really affordable.

Bravo 👏

Only commenting on the roast, I'd give it a 4/10 chicken cooked sitting in sloppy fatty juices - no gravy! The meat was dry on top but everything else was very soggy - carrots, parsnips, potatoes all sloppy from the same juice. Don't have the roast.

The concept tasted like it would have been nice if done properly, fairfax was somewhat delicious if not for the fact that half the fillings fell to the bottom.

Everything about the packaging had semi intelligent thought, the pack opened out into a flat mat, but the vertical burger ended up a mess, the hashbrowns while neatly stacked were pretty stale

It is very rare to find a restaurant with such a menu consists of so many authentic South East Asian options. We had Thai, Indonesian and Malaysian dishes. The foods were very delicious. Staff were very friendly. Service was quick. It could be very busy during meal hours but didn't take us long to get a table. Should be fine if you are not a big group. They are also doing 2-for-1 promotion for all cocktails and mocktails, all day long!

Nice service! Nice atmosphere! Lovely staff members! Quick and tasty breakfast. I have to mention about pricey but the ingredients tasted very fresh and highly quality so I guess it reflects in price. Would definetly recommend and come again.
Not as easy to find and not as busy as you would expect but overall very good.
Made a visit to Eggslut as I always wanted to give this a go!

We arrived and was welcomed. The lady who took our order gave a recommendation on what is the most popular as there is a wide selection to choose from.

Whilst waiting for our order, we can see the kitchen was in a state! Very messy and hectic, the staff in the kitchen seemed to be rushing everything and just felt unhygienic.

We sat and felt the place had decent atmosphere, tables were a little to close for comfort.

I had the egg cheese sandwich and it was quite disappointing. It was seasoned because it had to, there were very little favour. Very hard to see the hype behind this but definitely not recommended and won’t be going back.

If you’re starving and need a quick bite, might be worth trying.

5/10
This restaurant has excellent food and atmosphere and provided me with a satisfying introduction to Ecuadorian cuisine.

The club wasn’t as famous as imagined.

Very rude waitress. I came to have dinner at 9 pm on a Friday and she told me they do not allow walk ins anymore. I showed her my booking and she started arguing with me that they are closing in 1 hr. Started to discussing me with her colleague in front of me, and when I repeated that I have a booking, she told me “I am talking to my colleague right now”.
I was on my own and walked to this place for 30 min, so I insisted and eventually she let me in. The chicken was dry (but I think they gave me the remains and didn’t make it fresh), the truffle mash was really good. I was sitting on a terrace and at 9:30 the waitress started packing up the terrace while me and another couple were still eating.
Extremely rude attitude

This place is a local for after work drinks especially in the summer. I did visit parlour on Saturday with my friend and I have to say, I loved it even more! The attention to detail on the weekend is far better than a weekday (which is expected as weekdays does get very packed). I asked the barman to suggest a cocktail as it was super hot outside and he made the best cocktail I’ve had in ages. We also ordered some chips and halloumi sticks and they were delicious. I recommend this place to people I know all the time but now I’ll tell them it’s especially good on a weekend!
Amazing place. Bryan was the best. The service was a top top. This was a great find during our trip to London. The food taste like heaven. Service super fast. I noticed something that it was the best experience ever. Bryan our waiter and bartender spoke 3 languages on the same table. This was service 100%! Thank you for the great drinks with sugar Cain juice, and the patacones 😊.

I recently dined at Banana Tree Soho and had mixed feelings about the experience. The menu was great, and the service was decent. However, the food was excessively oily, to the point where it felt heavy and unhealthy. It would be beneficial for the restaurant to reduce the amount of oil used in their dishes for a more enjoyable dining experience.

I have never been to a club where every single staff member has been so incredibly rude. Fully ruined mine and my friends night. Couldn't even give my friend a hug goodbye without being hassled by a bouncer. I love clubbing but honestly the music is just too loud as well, to the point where my ears are still ringing 2 days later. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

I have ordered cocotte several times and was satisfied but this is the last time we will order from there. Our food arrived 30 mins late, the ice cream was entirely melted, the chicken was cold, the fries were soggy, the sauce was split all over the rest of the food. Shocking.
I had a fantastic experience at Amber Restaurant. They went above and beyond to accommodate our group by merging tables, which was a thoughtful and welcoming touch. The staff was kind and helpful throughout our visit, ensuring that we had a memorable dining experience. The food was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of flavors and well-presented dishes.

The ambiance at Amber was delightful. The restaurant had a beautiful setting with an abundance of plants surrounding the high glass windows. This created a bright and spacious atmosphere that enhanced the dining experience. I'm already looking forward to returning to try their bottomless brunch, as it sounds like a delightful option to explore.

Overall, I highly recommend Amber Restaurant for its exceptional service, delicious food, and inviting ambiance. It's definitely a place I would visit again to enjoy their hospitality and explore more of their menu.
Staff was helpful and friendly. We were a party of six who shared a few starters, a couple of fish and meat mains and some sides. We really enjoyed dining here. The food was brilliant and the atmosphere was relaxing too. The space itself was beautifully decorated. It was worth our travel to this part of London! I would be returning!
Oh what a beautiful place. Went for pre dinner drinks on a very wet day. But that didn’t matter since the outside is covered. I had a cocktail and a glass of sparkly and fabulous is all I can say. The service was quick and we got our drinks within a few minutes.

Dropped in for a working lunch with colleagues. Service was super prompt, so it's a good option if you want a sit-down lunch spot - but are pressed for time.

Everything we had was decent. The halloumi fries absolutely heavenly though - would highly recommend

Total price came up to around £25 per person. Worth a visit.

Let's start with the positives...
+ Great friendly staff
+ Nice cosy atmosphere
+ Chicken is good - cooked well and tasty

What brought it down for me is the overpriced starters and dessert.

We tried the croquettes (you get 4 tiny croquettes and it's £9... they did not live up to the expectation vs price), and the Haloumi sticks which weren't haloumi sticks at all, but rather 4 slices of halloumi with a dressing...again £9.

The biggest disappointment (especially given it was my birthday) was ordering the carrot cake which is priced at £6/7 and receiving a tiny cube which could fit in the palm of my hand. I wouldn't have minded as much if it tasted amazing, but it was so dry that it crumbled into dry crumbs as my spoon cut into it.

In summary, great chicken, but the starters and desserts aren't worth it!

They give you a free shot of what tastes like juice at the front door if you give them a 5 star review. Also showed up ~25 min past our time slot to get a free drink w the tickets we bought and they refused let it slide and we didn’t get the free drink we paid for in our ticket :(
I visited this restaurant with a very dear friend yesterday for a long overdue catch-up over brunch. My friend was the one who booked the table, and my my, am I glad she selected this eatery. The level of customer service was 10/10 from start to finish. As a diner with quite a few intolerances and one main allergy however, it was the staff member who was looking after our table's superb level of care and attention to detail which wowed me. She went through the allergens list with a fine-tooth comb and kept coming back to double-check and run things by me. I was extremely appreciative and impressed. Apart from this, the food was superb. My friend opted for the Truffle Chicken Burger which she said was delicious, and I opted for the Chicken & Waffles which was divine, and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since! The chicken was cooked and flavoured to perfection and just melted in my mouth, the croissant waffles were something totally new to me but they definitely worked (I requested that my egg was fried hard as I don't do runny yolks, and this was met with no hesitation). Would I recommend this place? Absolutely yes! I will be revisiting and introducing other friends to this place for sure.
We had a divine brunch. Food was really delicious! There is a great choice from the brunch menu as well as the all day one. Highly recommend the place and I would definitely consider going back.
Excellent Ecuadorean food jazzed up Islington style served in a meticulously thought out interior. Very friendly and efficient staff. The chef obviously works his derrière off so literally every dish is cooked to perfection making it a true cultural experience. Canelazo wasn’t on the menu, highly recommended. The portions are tapas size so the bill ran up to £150 for three people.

A really cute cafe! I got an All-Day Breakfast toastie, with a slice of lemon drizzle cake and a deluxe hot chocolate. The food was really lovely! The staff were wonderful and friendly, and the atmosphere was lovely!!

Came here on a Sunday morning having made a reservation before and was glad we did as it was full when we got there. Ordered the bubble Benedict while my friend had the smashed avocado toast with roast tomatoes and they were both great. Good portions and very tasty. We then ordered the sticky toffee pudding and warm chocolate brownie to wrap up our brunch. We stayed there for 2.5 hours and not one moment did we feel we would be kicked out soon since we were there for so long. Cappuccino was strong enough for me too without a sour aftertaste so really good experience all around!
We went to Cocotte for a team lunch.
Food is nice and atmosphere is chill and welcoming. Good service, you read the menu by scanning the QR code. Musin is a bit too loud so it is difficult to speak to each other.
I got kale salad which was good and roasted vegetables which were also nice but with a bit too much garlic and oil.
My colleagues who got the chicken burger were amazed by it!
A very pretty and clean establishment (very 'Instagrammable', if you are the blogger sort) with a great vibe and a good range of drinks. Food wise if you have allergies or if you don't eat pork, you can't really eat much here, but for drinks and social it's great. Even when it was fairly busy, we were able to get service quite quickly. The bathroom was lovely and clean too, and stalls were stocked with toilet roll.
Attended for a birthday , my friend had booked an area. Pitchers and drinks were lovely they have two menus or order from bar. Atmosphere is nicely decorated with lamps &plants. Food was ok got two platters the farmhouse consisting of seafood and grilled holumi. Other had chips and mini curry burgers. Staff did forget cutlery/plates few times. They looked like they didnt want to be there .

My boss recommended Cocotte to me.
Truffle chips is the best in my opinion, I love the smell, so good.
We ordered half chicken with sides, broccoli and spicy mayo chicken wings (My friend's favourite), totally enough for us two people.
Chicken is very tender and juicy, and the sauces are amazing.
Drinks, Watermelon Margarita 🍉 is recommended by my boss and I think it's very good!
Staffs are super friendly and nice.
Loads of flavour options for beverages (hot & cold). Love the huge selection of mouthwatering filling combos for the toasties as well as bread choices.
Our Toastie was golden brown, fab!
Vegan choices available too, nice touch as that’s getting so popular these days.
Many, many tempting flavours for milkshakes too, will have to try those next time as our large latte was enormous 🤩
Interior is industrial themed, nice vibe.
I used to go a lot to Parlour. But lately I’ve been going less. It is a great place for drinks. In the summer you can enjoy the outside area that makes a lot difference. Their drinks menu it is very good. They have a basic food menu like any bar/pub. And they also offer roasts on Sunday. After work on Wednesdays and Thursdays it is always buzzing most when the weather it is good. I went on a Saturday this time and I got impressed with all tables outside being busy. Definitely a great local option. But for sure a bar that it is most for the local business drinks
