The cafe itself is very cute, love the game boards that are available, however we did not have such a great experience with the food and service.

The mocktail was really good, however we waited over an hour for our food, we asked a few times in between and they told us it’s coming. When we asked again at the 1.5 hour mark, they checked in the system only to realise that they hadn’t even placed our order.

Once the food did arrive, they got our order wrong. I asked for the croissant sandwich and they brought a burger. We were too hungry at that point to switch it. But the burger was very soggy and salty. Definitely did not enjoy it.

The pasta wasn’t too bad.
This game cafe had some nice drinks and the fried chicken was tasty snack! The atmosphere of this place is so trendy and yet comfortable, decent game selection too.
The service at the restaurant was lovely. The waiters were quick to respond and help us with all our needs. I also adore the wide assortment of board games that you can play while waiting for your food to be here.
Best pastry/cafe in Toronto! Usually I’m not a scone person but their scone is to die for. So moist and fresh. They never disappoint

I tried their cupcakes, scone and cookies.
It's the best and the owner is so kind and lovely! ♡
I suggested this place to meet up a friend. It was the first time for both of us to visit cafe. If you choose to dine-in only and not play any board games then they won't charge you for the games. It's helpful that each table has a button underneath it to call for service. The staff was so polite and helpful!

I ordered the Taiwanese fried chicken (yes, it's boneless), and Osmanthus Latte. Both tasted amazing!

Taiwanese fried chicken (crowd fav): Great if you are just looking for a snack but also a good choice to share with the rest of the group. Loved the sauce paired with it.

Osmanthus Latte (brand new on the menu): It was the first time I tried a latte made with Osmanthus. I found it a good balance of sweet and a touch of bitter. Overall I loved the taste!
The people behind sweet bliss are wonderful 💜 they captured me with their scones and I can tell with each interaction they care about the people who come into the shop. Leslieville is lucky to have them ✨

Love their baguettes, chocolate almond croissant. Their brioche is also delicious, soft & fluffy. With this well balanced buttery texture😋😋Mmmm.
The highlight of this cafe is the service from Eda. She always provided excellent service & big smile to her customers 🥰🫶🥐🥖🍰
Thank you 👍🏼
Love the place and the crew. Paninis and coffee are very well done. Bodi, Emma, Beula, Valentine, Max, Amy, Noah...all of them are wonderful. Highly recommended!!
Awesome boardgame cafe.

Food was so good. We had the braised beef rice and noodles. And two lattes. It’s a bit pricey but you’re paying the premium for the vibes.

They have a lot of boardgames to choose from: the classics like scrabble, monopoly, cards against humanity, risk, catan, etc. They also have newer games. We played Wingspan for 2 hours.

Amazing pastries and great coffee, paired with friendly and exceptional service! I love coming here in the morning
for my coffee fix. You can’t go wrong with their spinach pie but their scones are my favourite! Highly recommend stopping by here if you are in the area!
I had the pleasure of visiting Twilight Cafe last year, and it exceeded all my expectations. The food, particularly the croissant sandwich, was absolutely delicious, leaving me craving more. The ambience of the cafe was inviting and comfortable, creating the perfect atmosphere for relaxation and enjoyment. I especially appreciated the inclusion of games, which provided a fun way to spend time with loved ones and friends. Additionally, the selection of drinks was impressive, offering a variety of options to suit every taste. Overall, I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience at Twilight Cafe, and I eagerly look forward to returning again and again.

Fair trade, single origin and in house roasted coffee is the feature here. Tried their flat white which was pulled with Ethiopian beans. I'm not usually a big fan of Ethiopian for milk based drinks, but it kinda worked on this occasion. Might have been owing to the high ratio of milk however which the coffee got a bit lost in. May have to give them a fair shake with a straight espresso shot next time.
Had amazing first experience at the cafe was out for a walk decided to make a stop to check out this amazing cafe by my place and I was very surprised and amazed by the service and the space and the coffee of course . Kevin made me a coffee with Antoine and passion . For anything looking for a place to chill around Dundas square with their friend and enjoy fresh refreshing drinks food and other iteams plz check out this place they have a lot of board , card games and amazing sitting arrangements everything working there seemed super chill
And enjoying the work place which is always a nice thing . Place has a very cool and super chill vibe . Although this time I was only there for coffee I can see myself going back with my friends to enjoy more varieties for refreshments and food they seem to have amazing menu and the price is extremely fair for a cafe in downtown Toronto . All in all amazing place keep up the good work everything . Huge thumbs up for the whole team and see u guys soon .

A Raspberry Mocha from @halecoffee

A unique blend of Raspberry and chocolate that tastes so familiar and delicious. We also tried their freshly baked sourdough and it is just perfection.

You must check out this coffee spot in Toronto which has a chill California vibe to it located in a Clock Factory Building.

Located next to the lake, Music Cafe Garden offers a delightful escape from the bustling city streets. I recently had the pleasure of visiting this charming café on a rainy Saturday morning, and it quickly became a favorite spot for a leisurely brunch.

Upon entering, I was greeted by the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the warm smiles of the friendly staff. The cozy ambiance, adorned with traditional cafe decor - think Friends Central Perk - instantly put me at ease. The café's pet-friendly policy was a bonus, allowing me to enjoy my brunch accompanied by our furry friend.

The menu boasts a variety of tempting options, from classic breakfast sandwiches to decadent chocolate muffins. I opted for the chocolate muffin, which was moist, rich, and paired perfectly with my hot chocolate.

What sets Music Cafe Garden apart is its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Each dish is prepared with care. The attentive staff ensures that every guest feels welcome and well taken care of, adding to the overall experience.

As the weather warms up, I look forward to returning to Music Cafe Garden to indulge in their tempting gelato offerings. Whether you're looking for a cozy spot to enjoy brunch with friends or simply craving a delicious treat, this hidden gem in Toronto is not to be missed.

Overall, my experience at Music Cafe Garden was nothing short of delightful. I highly recommend paying a visit and experiencing the warm hospitality and delectable fare for yourself.

One of the worst starbucks. I ordered caramel frappucino through skip from my workplace. They forgot to add straw. When I called them, one lady received the call and she was so rude and said do whatever you can. The worst staff I’ve ever seen.

Nice coffee shop, their mocha was great, my friends had their tea and latte. Pastry was tasty, but you have to ask them to warm it. Only con would be their overall menu selection as it’s pretty limited.

Went on a Sunday afternoon and it was fully packed. It’s paid street parking after 1pm that day or one hour free on one of the side streets if you’re lucky to get a spot.
This is hands down the best coffee in Toronto! I walked in by chance one day not wanting to get Starbucks from across the street and was blown away by how delicious their macchiato was. I never drink coffee in the afternoons and I went back the next day for a cappuccino which was just as delightful. The owner is lovely as well! If you care about your coffee, this is the place to go (and it’s not a $15 cup haha). They even use a device to put lids on to go cups to minimize contact!

Very disappointed about their quality control. The differences of roast level among a single bag of beans is just not right. You can also tell how many defective beans are there.

The owner is from Turkey & is the best!

His wife made all the beautiful mosiac tables you see inside (you can find her shop in the back; where they also roast their own beans!)

Best coffee.
Their baked goods (made on site) are also insane.

Delicious coffee and pastries and such a relaxing ambiance.

A huge thank you to the owners for being so welcoming to us, moms, with our huge strollers. It’s very hard to find great coffee shops that would be welcoming/accommodating and this is definitely a great spot. Thank you - Thank you!

Nice atmosphere and a great place to catch-up. When compared to other coffee shops/bakeries in the neighbourhood, it’s expensive. That said, it shouldn’t be a surprise when you step in and look around. Good luck to the owners, they’re trying something different.

Visited Arvo Coffee in Toronto's Distillery District and was impressed. The cozy, rustic-modern cafe has friendly staff and excellent coffee. Their signature latte and fresh pastries stood out, though seating can be tight during peak times. A great spot for quality coffee and a relaxed vibe, despite the occasional crowd. Worth a visit for coffee lovers and those exploring the area.

I had coffee and toast, and it was honestly amazing. The place was comfortable, and the staff was sufficiently nice. I think their food and coffee quality is what makes the difference. I would definitely recommend and will go back when I'm in the area.
Lovely place. The coffee is great (and affordable) and the barista is very friendly. The location is also amazing, just across the street from the Music Gardens.

PS: my only suggestion? Please include at least one vegan option.
Lovely cafe with a great ambiance. It's more spacious than it seems from the outdoors. It has a range of seating types, from comfy low chairs to bar stools to regular tables and chairs. I had a wonderful hot chocolate that was the perfect amount of sweetness. The best, however, was a BLT on sourdough bread that was fresh and delicious. I think a garlic mayo was what gave it that special something. I think it was the best BLT I've ever had. Also nice that it's a kid and stroller-friendly space.
Brilliant locally owned bakery with kind service. Pain au chocolat, CinnamonRoll and Scones light buttery fresh delight in your mouth.

We live in the US, but love going to De Mello's for coffee when we're in Toronto! They make a lovely espresso, and have a great selection of coffee beans, including a number of light roasts. The staff is super friendly, and knowledgeable and passionate about coffee. They also have coffee gear, so you can pop in if you forgot to pack Aeropres filters or other gear.

I saw a blueberry latte here on social media because I am someone who loves to try specialty coffee, so I came here by taxi.
Perhaps due to weekdays, the store is not very crowded. I chose a position by the window, and overall it is quite comfortable.
The prices of coffee and bread are not very cheap, but the taste of latte still surprises me. It has a strong blueberry flavor and is my favorite fruit flavored coffee.
It would be better if bread could be heated
I would have given this place 4 stars but due to a couple reasons, I dropped it to a 3. The place was very busy when my wife and I went on a Friday night; one of the staff took our orders but what looks like some notes app on his phone. They were nice and seemed a bit busy I suppose.

The atmosphere was nice with quite a lot of seating available; the place also offered board games (two separate shelves near the back) for $6/2 hours so that would be part of the reason for it being so busy.

We ordered the Taiwanese braised pork rice and classic omelet; the rice came quite quickly but after waiting over thirty minutes after (even after finishing our rice), our omelet did not come. We thought they forgot about it and proceeded to the front to pay. They told us the omelet just finished, so we took it home. The rice was pretty good and the omelet was alright but definitely shouldn't not have taken over half an hour to make, else they should have told us beforehand.

Overall, I would recommend coming here with friends once in a while as a get together, but would avoid getting the omelet but the rice was not too bad. Their logo looked pretty good too in my opinion. I just wished the service was a bit more organized or had better communication.

Gourmet Flat White in the Distillery District

Made a worthwhile stop at the Distillery Winter Village over the weekend. Couldn't resist treating myself to a superb gourmet coffee at highly rated Arvo. The venue, quaint and cozy offers both indoor and outdoor seating with simple yet organized decor.

Opted for the Flat White, and it easily ranks among the best I've had recently. The espresso boldness, combined velvety milk at the perfect temperature, gave the wake up I needed. The friendly service and efficient coffee preparation pace added to the positive experience. I plan to return, perhaps after the festivities, for a leisurely sit-down, exploring their food offerings while immersing in the atmosphere.

Great baristas, nice location, just don't come here at lunch on a weekday! It gets absolutely overrun by local high schoolers and ruins the atmosphere🙄 plus the number of people sitting on the floor blocking exits etc. creates a serious safety issue. Not to mention the noise, the garbage they leave behind, and the graffiti they carve into the tables.

This was such a fantastic place to stop by and warm up in. It has a pretty cool atmosphere with a lot of sports jerseys and memorabilia for sale. When you walk in tucked away on the back left side you'll see a really nice coffee bar with some seats and wall tables.

I tried the cortado and the flavorful taste was so good. I tried a sweet creamy coffee mixed with an espresso. I ended up asking and purchasing a bag of the coffee included in my review pictures that I ordered. They have a pretty diverse range of beans and types of coffee which goes a long way in coffee bars. The staff explained that they get their coffees from around the world.

The prices were quite fair and I'm always happy to pay for a good taste or flavor. The service was quick and efficient and quite friendly. A great place to stop anytime but more so on a cool winter evening.

The family behind At Origin have crafted such an amazing and welcoming experience. Every time I have been in I have been warmly welcomed and made a delectable drink. The care and attention even goes down to even the fitting of the lid on your to go cup! Pastries are a must try as well. Worth a visit when you are in Davisville or even for driving in just for Origin and then walk this beautiful strip of Bayview.
The food didn’t really taste good for the price they charge. I ate my sand which with the for and knife they gave me and half way through I discovered Jaír in my food and lost my appetite. Latte was good though would be weary of the sandwich menu. I’d get drinks from there again but I’ll never eat here again after the hair in my food. Mentioned it and all I got was a “sorry”.

If you’re looking for a real croissant in midtown, this is the place you need to come. I could tell from one bite that they use quality ingredients. Staffs are friendly and the service is quick. They offer a variety of baked goods such as croissants, sourdough breads, sandwiches, danishes, tarts, quiches, cakes, cookies etc.

We tried some of their products below.

1. Plain Croissant : 4.5/5
2. Almond Plain Croissant : 4/5
3. Chocolate Almond Croissant : 5/5
- Just delicious. I've never tried the chocolate + almond combo before but they go really well together. Highly recommend.
4. Mustard Twist : 5/5
5. Vanilla & chocolate cookies : 4/5
6. Apple Almond Danish : 5/5
- The texture of baked apples and the layers.. everything about this danish was amazing. I usually don't like the taste of baked apples but this danish? Please try. If you ever see this danish in the basket, just get it. You won't regret it.
7. Pain Au Chocolat : 3/5

I recommend visiting in the morning if you’d like to try various pastries. And maximum 4 people are allowed in the store. I’ll definitely come back and try their cake menus too.

Please get an iced vanilla latte with soy milk at De Mello. The weather was a bit chilly the day I visited so I was originally thinking of getting a hot coffee but I’m so glad I got the iced one.

I actually tried both iced and hot. Both tasted good, but iced latte is more savoury and you can taste stronger vanilla than the hot one. It’s really good so that you won’t regret holding it even in the super cold weather. Me and my friend also tried their strawberry jam scone. Their scone is more on the moist side. I’d recommend them for a light breakfast menu.

What I really liked about this cafe is the cozy vibe you’ll only get at a local cafe and the well designed goods. For your information, we visited around 11 am and it was pretty busy at that time! The staffs are super friendly and easy to talk to. I think I’ll regularly come to this place over Starbucks from now on.
Such a pleasant surprise to find dessert that is actually yum in Toronto. Really lovely tarts - tried the pineapple mango coconut tart and the plum tart. The chocolate cake was yum too.

Croissants were okay. Maybe they’re better fresh.

Good atmosphere, only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was that they were heavily pushing cows milk by giving away free lattes. Their coffee is a bit bitter and was so incredibly hot I feel like they burned it a bit. Only comes in one size as well and for $2.80 it's a bit steep for what's a small coffee. Breakfast sandwich was super good

Aussie magic was also very good. Cozy cafe. Lovely. Good service!

Poached egg was excellent and the yolk was dark orange colour flowing slowly mixed with the smashed avocado, SO GOOD!!
I am very happy for have found Jules Cafe while looking for Croissants in the neighbourhood. Pistachio and Almond croissant were amazing, fresh and plenty stuffed. I also tried the Focaccia and I never had one like theirs in Toronto. Definitely a place to return and that worth to pay a visit. Cheese croissant is also something else.
They are busy on the weekend’s morning and my suggestion is a takeout. Even though they offer a dine-in, ot is just two high chairs and no much room gor a group. In general, I am pleased and surprised with the quality and freshness of everything I ordered. The service was also amazing and fast.

Spacious and roomy space with nice decor. Great vibe for working for a couple hours but I found Coffee is just a little short of what I like. Cortado milk was a bit runny, under desired temperature, plus music is a bit loud and distracting. Big plus is that they're a Roaster and also make fresh bakery items daily.
Delightful French bakery that I keep coming back to. Pistachio croissant and peach tart are made to perfection. There is generous amount of real pistachio in the croissant and not just some paste. Also tried almond croissant and plum-pistachio tart. Plum pistachio tart is a bit sour. We also had an americano an a cappuccino and they were fair

Jules Cafe Patisserie is a small and popular bakery on Mount pleasant. They are offering a variety of treats and breads. I recently bought from them a great sourdough ray bread that it was amazing. When it comes to the treats my favourite remains the pistachio fig tarts. It seems that they really know how to balance those flavours. The crust alone is so battery that it is worth each cents of the cake. I definitely recommend this place, but be careful on weekends it gets busy and they may run out of your favourite.
I was finally in the area when this was open. I got the lemon cupcake to go. Lemon topping was great as was the dash of butter frosting.

The base of the dough was good too. Would come back and try their other cupcakes over the summer.

Great quality coffee and very interesting store for sport lovers. The patio is very basic though and a little touchup would make it more convenient and enjoyable!

southwest bowl was really good and great portion of chicken
I found my new favourite scone place! I was happy to see that they have a small window so we could make purchases from outside while in lockdown. Highly recommend! :)
Visited for the first time on Sunday after seeing reviews online about their scones and cinnamon bun. The hype is real, their scones are delicious. Perfect balance of crispy outside/crust and slightly moist yet still scone like on the inside with excellent flavour and good size. On Sunday is was raspberry jam with orange maple glaze. A friend gifted my cupcakes for my birthday last year which were great too.
Arena is comfy coffee shop in maple leaf merchandise store. Environment is nice, staff is friendly. Sadly, my order was done with mistake, but barista without hesitation solved the problem. Btw, They serve rich pilot coffee beans.

To anyone without a deep connection to the emotion of music, this might simply look like a somewhat pretty garden but nothing more. Having an appreciation for the piece it was inspired by will add a whole new dimension to its features. It will delight your soul.
