Tasty bacon egg and cheese sandwiches in English muffins with cheesy potato spread. Servers were friendly and helpful when ordering. There are many tables to sit with your food and drinks to enjoy and work at. Offer free WiFi.

Came to meet up with a friend and, in addition to buying our coffee, I asked if I could have change for a couple dollars to pay for the absurdly expensive street parking. I've worked food service. I tip 25%. I don't have any popped-collar vibes -- normal guy, friendly tone, pretty understandable request.

Not only was their No itself a weird disappointment, the delivery from our disaffected 6'3" non-binary barista was such a clownish stereotype of smug, huffy satisfaction in sticking it to the Bourgeoisie. It was SNL's Azrael Abyss by way of Portlandia. It was juvenile and unnecessary even *if* management had a strict policy of refusing to accommodate their customers in this way.

What a lame hill to die on. There's a million other coffee shops to try instead. I'll come armed with quarters, and I'll be sure to stop in elsewhere.

Coffee was very good, but I didn't really like the breakfast sandwich. It comes with this potato spread that really doesn't seem to go with it in my opinion. But other people love it. Would still try other things.

Wow, what a great find when visiting Portland, Maine. This place makes their own syrups and roasts their own beans. Their machines are dialed in just right and the result is a super smooth product. My vanilla latte was amazing... right down to the empty cup lined with specs of vanilla bean. I wish this place was in Portland Oregon!

Perfectly brewed American to start my Portland photo adventure! Staff was very helpful for local parking tips!
Blocked of restrooms with tables. No seating, no restroom but more than happy to take your money. Go elsewhere.

We stopped at smalls for Cortado and Latte - it was very smooth and rich. We ended up ordering the carrot cake and it was one of the finest. Very balanced and authentic food and drinks. The cafe also has some local art and tiny items to shop (the candles were really nice!)
It’s a must try if you’re in the area

Today I went to this cafe, looking for a delicious coffee and I found it!! They have a small menu, I ordered an eggplant, tomato and feta cheese pastry and it was really delicious, the service is good, the wait for the coffee is a little long, but it's worth it!! Remember that coffee is drunk without sugar!! If they add sugar it loses its magic.

The more I go here the more I love this place. It’s always a wonderful start to my morning. Totally unpretentious, friendly, with a nice little back patio to enjoy the sun. The coffee is good too!

I just moved to the area (from another part of ME) and am making a goal to visit coffee shops around where I live. This one is amazing! Great service, friendly faces, food is delicious and it is a great place to get work done or be with friends! Will definitely make this my go-to for morning coffee/tea runs!

Really lovely cafe with friendly vibes. I have one vegetarian friend and myself and my other friend are keto / low carb. We split some oysters and each had a fabulous caesar salad. All of us enjoyed our food and the atmosphere.

I went in to get 2 espresso shots to go. Employees were nice and the service was fast enough considering how busy the place was. The ambience of the place is also great. The espressos, however were very unpleasant. I would even say bad. Not sure if they were way too extracted, not made with the right temperature water, or there was a buildup on the machine itself... or the combination of these. I noticed that guests seemed to be enjoying their more elaborate drinks, but as far as plain espresso shots go, this was an awful experience. It's a bummer because based on the reviews I would have considered getting breakfast here.

The person taking my order got distracted by a cute bulldog, and didn’t realize that a woman was struggling being crushed by the front door. This was hilarious. The next customer, she followed that up with the most sincere complement of a gross looking sweater. Give that girl a raise, also the iced latte was delicious.

I have spent a ridiculous number of hours in this cafe over the last year and a half. Navis is one of the few "cafe vibe" type places in the area that is open past 3pm. I am in school every day from early morning through the afternoon and haven't found any other place where I can come after school and have enough time to get anything done before closing. Navis has gotten me through the toughest finals weeks of dental school. The vibe is perfect, nice music playing, not too loud, ambient sound from the cafe, nice view through the wall of windows, there is one table in the corner with an outlet that I definitely monopolize. There is even an outdoor seating area that's great during the summer. The draft latte is delicious and keeps me going. When I get hungry it has the perfect food for a snack or a meal with options for me (vegan) and my friends with no dietary restrictions. Prices are very fair The service is great. No one has ever been upset with me for ordering just a coffee or two and staying posted up at a table with my laptop out for the entire day. Highly recommend.
Busy and trendy, but not overwhelming. This place gave me the vibe of nothing too fancy to prove, just really good coffee. Very friendly staff.
Went here for a quick breakfast. It took twenty minutes to be get our order and it was definitely just a microwaved egg on a bagel.

Coffee ME Up is one of my favorite coffee shops in Portland. I'm always satisfied and the service here is amazing. I made a mistake ordering my drink today and they still re-made it for me!!! They did not have to do that but they did, it was very kind of them and very appreciated. Thank you for your kindness Coffee ME Up. This is the reason I always come back.

What a hip little coffee shop. While the atmosphere is cool and all, the coffee is where they shine. It's hard for me to go to a different coffee place. Also the people who work here are very friendly.
Highly recommend for the perfect breakfast in Portland! Fun coffee flavors and delicious egg sandwiches/breakfast wraps.

This coffee shop stood out amongst the crowd with a small menu of fresh quality espresso and coffee - exactly what I’m looking for in a coffee shop. We ordered a hot and iced latte that was the best we have had in Maine. We even enjoyed the coffee cake muffin! Friendly service and an atmosphere ideal for getting some work done.

Now on August 5th, it’s pouring outside and they kicked everyone out because they have “grab and go policy”?! People with little kids had to leave and walk under the rain because they wouldn’t let people stay until the rain stops. I’m talking about people who bought coffee etc.. who paid for Starbucks products got kicked out. They warned everyone 3 times to leave and not stay in the cafe despite the thunderstorm outside. And the manager threatened to call the cops on this older guy who was there with his family because he refused to leave until the rain stops which btw noted on the water app that would stop in 7min and it did. HORRIBLE TERRIBLE BAD management. People put the situation in their social media. I will also email Starbucks corporate.
Navigating Portland's bustling café scene can sometimes feel like a caffeine-laden treasure hunt. But every so often, you stumble upon a gem that stands out from the rest, a café that brews not just great coffee but also radiates a profound sense of inclusivity. Yordprom Coffee is one such place.

From the moment you step through the doors of Yordprom, you are swept up in a wave of warmth, both literal and metaphorical. The aromatic allure of freshly brewed coffee wafts through the air, making a delightful first impression.

Their coffee, quite simply, is in a league of its own, surpassing even well-known spots like Tandem Coffee. Each sip is a testament to the care, craft, and quality Yordprom pours into their brews.

But Yordprom Coffee is not just about their exceptional beverages. The breakfast sandwiches are an absolute revelation. Toasted to perfection, layered with fresh, flavorful ingredients, they arrive at your table hot, unlike my experiences elsewhere. They're a delightful morning indulgence that I find myself craving time and time again.

The real heart of Yordprom, however, lies not just in its culinary prowess but in its commitment to creating an inclusive space. It shines as a beacon of acceptance and positivity in the community, fostering a welcoming environment that is unequivocally LGBTQ+ friendly. It's more than just a café - it's a place where everyone, regardless of their identity, can find a safe and comfortable spot to enjoy a cup of coffee or a scrumptious breakfast sandwich.

In a city brimming with coffee shops, Yordprom Coffee has carved out its own niche with its exquisite beverages, phenomenal breakfast fare, and most importantly, its respect and support for the LGBTQ+ community. It's not just a café - it's a haven of hospitality and acceptance. A visit to Yordprom Coffee isn't just about grabbing a coffee, it's about experiencing a café that truly understands and cherishes its community.

Best croissant ever! Their croissant is my all time favorite, always fresh and fluffy. I used to go this place everyday before I moved out, they have great pastry. And they have really good bowls! And the baklava! I miss them a lot!! They are the reason I want to go Portland a lot hahahah. Love them.

Beautiful little coffee shop! Went for a coffee date and it went well. Tons of fun drink options + bagels. Definitely going again the next time I'm in Portland!
Egg and cheese bagel was delicious and so was the iced coffee. I'm coming back 1 more time for a sandwich before we leave.

Renae and her staff at Navis Cafe provided us with a perfectly wonderful "bridal breakfast" which our daughter's bridal party enjoyed as they got ready for her wedding in June. We had an early start that morning and Renae had everything ready for pick up when the cafe opened at 7 am. Breakfast sandwiches, fruit salad, chocolate chip cookies and coffee....all fresh and delicious. It was exactly what we were hoping for. We stopped in at the Cafe several other times during the weekend and had the same great experience....delicious food, friendly service and an inviting atmosphere. Thank you, Renae. I will definitely stop in whenever I'm in Portland. I highly recommend Navis Cafe!

Go for the coffee, skip the food.

Awesome coffee, atmosphere, and friendly staff their but food leaves a lot to be desired. Ordered two breakfast sandwiches, the egg and protein was microwaved, and very bland. Maybe their other menu items are better, but that was all we got.

I would go again, but only for the coffee.

I work next to this Starbucks, so I stop in fairly regularly. I know several of the employees and have never had a bad experience with any of them. They are a strong and unified team of lovely humans that create a great atmosphere for everyone. The manager specifically, (Hi Ronnie!!) is a phenomenal person and incredible at her job. The drinks are always amazing and the food is out on time every time. Thanks for a fabulous space to grab my morning coffee and afternoon tea.

Stopped in once and got an excellent espresso. If I lived nearby, I'd keep coming back for the espresso. Haven't tried any other drinks. The walnut/chocolate chip cookie was good, though. Given the rainy weather that day, I wouldn't call the atmosphere cozy.

I ordered an espresso and while it was good, it wasn't great. I can't speak to any other drinks, but Portland has better coffee shops for espresso. The service was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was great.
I was in Portland for the week, heard the coffee shop was good. I went in and couldn’t decide what to get and asked the baristas to surprise me. Got a blueberry lavender latte that slapped so hard I came back and go another. I have to give 5 stars for being so obnoxious and them smashing it out of the park. Also great service!

Not bad, pretty respectable bagel breakfast sandwich. Quick service. If you're at one of the hotels in the immediate area it's really convenient to swing around the corner here.

Only reason I give it a 4 is I felt like it's missing a bit of character or vibe, but maybe that's just me.

Adorable, fun, aesthetically pleasing little spot! Also, one of the best cappuccinos I had in a long time. I wanted to buy everything! It makes you happy just being in there. However, we weren’t overly impressed with the food- the grilled cheese was bitter and the servicing of burrata was on the small side. The ambience made up for it though and I will be returning. Fabulous selection of gifts, food and wine - an absolute delight. Gluten free bread options available for $2.

Super difficult to rate as they sold me a frozen Frappuccino (after a 15 minute wait) but had no straws - which nobody mentioned when they were taking my money.

Couldn’t actually consume what I bought as they filled the lid up with whipped cream so couldn’t even take that off to sip it.

Dumb people and pointless waste of money.

Attention all other Starbucks nationwide that don’t offer this:
The Old Port location in Portland, ME gives out FREE bags of old coffee grounds to use in your garden as compost. Already bagged up, just walk up and grab one. If I thought I’d have room, I would have crammed a bag or 2 of compost in my luggage before heading back home.
Every Starbucks should offer this!

We got coffee and stayed inside to drink it as it was pouring rain out. The tables were all dirty and 1/2 the tables and the window seats had no chairs/stools. While we were there another customer asked me if there was a restroom… I told her to ask the guy at the counter and usually you need a lock code, which the employee gave her. Before I left, I got up to use the restroom and asked the same employee if he could tell me the bathroom code (he was passing right by me). His reply was “I can’t help you” with a snotty smirk on his face and he continued out of the shop. When I went up to ask the girl behind the counter for the code, I told her I didn’t appreciate how rude the departing employee had been (he knew the code and couldn’t be bothered to tell me on his way out). Her reply was “he’s punched out so he’s not legally obligated to help me or be polite”. OMG…. Like common courtesy would have killed him or her??? I’m probably 30+ years older than they are; their behavior was absolutely unprofessional, disrespectful and just plain lazy. I used to run a bakery and cafe and would never have spoken to any customer like that, on or off the clock. If I did, I would have been fired on the spot. What ever happened to customer service? I usually find Starbucks employees to be friendly but these employees were just ignorant and indignant. Their management needs to do some serious customer relations training.
Great spot to grab a drink and people watch. Had the Chai latte. Very good. Service was outstanding.

Whew, glad we finally made it here! We watched the building be refurbished. The great coffee-house vibes make you want to spend a few hours taking it all in. You can be frozen to decide from a variety of pastries, sweet and savory. Our new acquaintance, Ann and my Cuz Becky loved the muffins; we went with the strawberry cream cheese blintz and honey dripping baklava. Cappuccino and the iced almond-milk latte were perfectly prepared and tasted great. Outside table on a beautiful day in Portland.

Absolutely delicious. We were visiting from out of town, and went here two mornings in a row. Breakfast sandwiches were to die for. Highly recommend any of the breakfast sandwiches, add avocado and add the red hot sauce that they have if you like spice. Dark roast cold brew and nitro were also 10/10. This Starbucks is DYNAMITE! The staff was so ridiculously friendly. This was much needed to compensate for the extreme rudeness of the Portland townsfolk.

The espresso is very good, fruity and very zesty, almost too acidic but it just about gets away with it. I would order it again for sure. The drip coffee is not as exciting by comparison. Also all drinks are served in ceramic mugs if you are staying in, no endless plastic to worry about. A very nice neighborhood spot.
Popped in for a quick bite before walking around Portland. Had the "Fresh Mozzarella" sandwich - which was very good. The basil pesto was just right and wasn't overwhelming, and my only gripe was the sourdough bread was more consistent with traditional white bread. Lovely decor & ambiance

When I go back to Portland I’d definitely go back there. I was driving to Orono from Boston and stopped in Portland to get coffee, and the first sip of the light roast coffee I got from Bard convinced me it was so much worth it to search for a roaster to get coffee from.

I’ve tried coffee from many roasters, and while generally they serve excellent coffee, coffee at Bard stands out among roasters too.

Will definitely go back when I’m in the area!

Tasty sandwiches and salads. Great selection of wine and local brews (on tap). The service was friendly and surprisingly fast considering how busy they were with locals as well as passengers waiting to board a small cruise ship departing that evening.
Coffee was great. The green tea they give is a VERY generous amount. Coffee got us warmed up from the cold.

Seating is a bit tight but will fit 3-4 people comfortably. The aesthetics of the place is peaceful but if you are looking for a "quiet" place to work or study, it's not here.

You can get snacks here. We didn't try the snacks or hot foods here but they looked delicious!

A great place to stop by if you're walking around the area and need to rest for a bit!

I love this place for its coffee. The really know their game. The barista art is the icing on the cake. Once my brother said that coffee like you get it here is a different beverage. Nit like normal coffee. Cone here and you’ll understand. I once thought Starbucks was this place. Once you’ve been here, Starbucks sucks. Highly recommended place.

Stopped here on our way out of town based on the good reviews.
We had 2 egg sandwiches. They both were not good . Soggy, flavorless and very rare bacon. We ended up throwing them both away and went hungry. It tasted like microwaved egg or fake egg. Not sure why all the good reviews, there are so many 5 star places in Portland! This is not one.

Spacious cafe with high quality drinks. My cappuccino was very strong and my girlfriend’s chai was homemade. Would recommend some background music. LGBTQ+ friendly!
Grab yourself a book or friend to take with you to grab coffee and a light pastry or bagel. Choose between countertop seating, a couch, or a table and try one of their exciting flavors in your choice of coffee. The staff is incredibly friendly, so ask what their coffee of choice is if you can’t decide!

Workers are very nice as well as the atmosphere. Breakfast sandwiches are decent but overpriced for their size. The maple chai I got was extremely sweet, it tasted like I was drinking straight maple syrup. Even after dumping half of it out and topping off with milk it was still too sweet.

Coming from Australia it was so good to finally find some truly well made espresso coffee. It's so hard to find in the US. These negative reviews are hilarious: complaining about the higher cost (you get what you pay for), or the small cup sizes (that's a Medium in Australia! Why do people want lightly flavoured scalding hot milk?), or saying you're better off going to Starbucks! If you actually want a well made coffee made with quality beans then you won't be disappointed here.
This is a delightful coffee shop! The coffee is delicious and they have something for everyone. The selection of pastries and bagels is great if you are hungry (and the bagels are DELICIOUS). They have some seasonal specials - fall while I visited - but they aren't so overly sweet that you can't still enjoy the coffee flavor. There is a bit of seating inside, and they have big, bright windows that make an inviting atmosphere.
The help wanted sign on the door should have been my first clue. I ordered a maple latte to go. Waited 1/2 an hour for it. Service staff could be better trained. When the latte finally came out no name on the cup. No one knows who’s who’s…
Oh yeah, the latte was very good. Ask first how long a wait it will be…

Stopped here for a quick coffee before we left Portland for our weekend visit. Asked if they could make a flat white which wasn’t listed on the menu, they said yes and that their cappuccinos pretty much are flat whites, tasted great, perfect temp and lovely flavour. My husband said his salted hot chocolate was one of the best hot chocolates he’d ever had, and he’s had many! Staff were friendly and nice. Would definitely come back!

What a gem! Friendly staff and amazing coffee and tea!
We had a homemade blueberry pop tart and the Olive Oil Guava Cake, Oh My!! It was perfect. I wish I lived around the corner from this spot! I look forward to visiting again!

The Peach and Blueberry Coffee cake was absolutely delicious.

The dirty chai was good, but nothing special in my opinion. If I go again I'll look for a uniquely flavored latte and get something like that.

I like the atmosphere and the service was good and friendly.

Stopped in for breakfast on the go, and browsed the shop while I waited. It seems like a great place to get a nice lil'gift for someone. The food is delicious, and while the prices are a little steep, it's in line with other nice Portland eateries. I think it's worth the treat, and I hope to come back for lunch, cocktails, and more.

By far one of the best coffee shops in Portland! Small, casual and no frills, but a very cozy and welcoming space nonetheless. Most importantly, the team knows their stuff and the quality of their coffee and other menu items is exceptional. I highly recommend! Treat yourself ☺️

Excellent coffee and baked goods! Parking is easy, seating is abundant. Service is as warm as the sunshine pouring through this cafe’s big windows. Ambiance is sublime. Go to the Proper Cup. Order a honey lavender latte. It will make you smile.
I’ve been stopping in to Yordprom when in the area for many years. It’s unique here, and if you appreciate the vibe they’re going for, you’ll love it. They make breakfast sandwiches from scratch at the counter (with fresh eggs!), so it takes awhile. I see that as a big positive if you’re willing to wait. If you’re in a rush, grab a pastry, croissant, or something quick instead! If you have 5-10 minutes to wait, enjoy the patio outside if the weather’s nice, or sit indoors and enjoy the care that the people at Yordprom put into what they do

Pretty much the best choice for espresso-based drinks this part of town. Had a hot and a cold latte, both were excellent. Girlfriend had the masala chai latte which wasn't great, so would avoid that. Cafe itself is roomy and well-lit, perfect for reading or working out of. Alhough they don't have WiFi themselves, you can use the guest WiFi for the building with no issues.

This our 4th time dining in at restaurant. We really disappointed on our breakfast
I ordered the Bow with wraps, the bacon was really cold, like the bacon left over from Friday:(
my boyfriend ordered the Navis Cobb. The salad was missing bacon and we found a bond hair in the salad :( I told the waitress about this situations. They offered us refund but we refused. Because we will return to our he restaurant sometime soon.
I was taking a walk downtown and stumbled upon this shop. I though the window, and it looked so pretty that I had to stop inside. I didn’t get coffee, but I did get a Sparkling Maple Lemonade. Delicious wouldn’t give credit to how good and refreshing this drink was! I love the environment and can’t wait to go back on my next visit to Portland.
