I ordered a meal with EBT and they wouldn't serve me my food or refund me my money I payed twice

Our group ordered different breakfast items, and they were ALL delicious! Our party of 6 at 10am waited less than 15 minutes and the it busy. Loved it so much we're going back tomorrow. Maybe later for dinner? 🤔

Stopped in for a late dinner and received wonderful service from Marco! He made our dine in experience very pleasant. He was friendly and efficient. The recommendations were perfect to accompany our meal. If you want comfort food on a cold, windy night at a great price, this Norms is the place to be!

I was wearing one of my Marine Corps caps. Several people said, "Thank you."
When I was ready to leave, the waiter said it was already paid. Wow!

My breakfast eggs and hash browns were cold as I was seeing an abundance of food on the hot counter to be served to other customers. Not enough staff was present. I was eating at the dining counter. The manager waitress was so busy with the customers as a cashier and taking my order and forgot to serve my drink 20 minutes after my food was served. The cook fixed my breakfast right away.

Located on E. Katella Ave near N. Tustin St. with plenty of parking. We stopped here on Saturday afternoon for a late breakfast.
We were seated immediately by a friendly hostess.
I had their 'Lumberjack Breakfast', which consists of 3 eggs, 3 bacon strips, 3 sausage links, hashbrowns, and 3 pancakes. I topped my pancakes with strawberries. Food tasted delicious and fresh.
The service was great. Shout out to our server, Marco who was extremely attentive, making sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal.
The restaurant was clean and organized during our visit. Overall, we had a great experience at this location and will definitely return.

We went here last night 12/21/24 and the service was horrible. Didn't get refills till we were done eating. I ordered a veggie skillet and there was a good 2 table spoons of butter/oil on the bottom so my has browns were mush and the food tasted chalky from the cheese. Why were the eggs crispy? My wife and daughter got a T-bone steak. It was grey, no brown and looked odd. They ate assuming it was cooked correctly. My son got a Cajun chicken sandwich and fries. We all got something different AND WE ALL HAVE FOOD POISONING.

I need the manager to call me back. I live in riverside so I can't just walk in. Spent $90 and all we have to show is a horrible experience that we are still going through.

You could literally have an order of only two tacos and they would still hand you an empty bag because that's how often they forget to include the tacos I ordered. Every single time.

Found this place because my gps re routed me past it. Their outside patio was busy but not over crowded so decided to go in for some breakfast. The Nutella Banana French toast got my attention and it did not disappoint.

A no frills diner with friendly staff and huge portions.

A lot of the dishes were almost 20 bucks so it's not cheap but as the name suggests... it's huge portions so you'll be filled up for sure. They do charge a split fee if you and someone share an entree soo.... be prepared for some to go boxes.

Filler station burger: Maybe get?
It was a decent burger but was kind of dry and needed more sauce. Patty was cooked well though. Fries were nice and fluffy and seasoned well.

Country fried steak: Maybe get?
The steak with the gravy was yummy and comforting. The hash was soggy... Everything else was also just okay.

PSL: Get!
If it's the season, this was an amazing latte. A warm, well balanced latte that'll bring you joy on a brisk morning. It was a touch too sweet but still very enjoyable

I ordered a Bacon and Swiss Buttery Smash Jack Combo 3 days ago in the afternoon which should be $12.58 before tax. That doesn't show up on my bank statement. However, today and yesterday I have 2 charges from this location for $65.26, multiple Walmart giftcard charges, a few Apple charges, and a Vape charge.

My card was skimmed and cloned at this location. I would not recommend eating here unless you pay in cash.

Chose this place based on reviews and google street maps. Expect a short wait, service is quick. Food on the other hand is rather boring. Menu is complicated. My bacon was rock hard and cold. Pancakes were ok. Eggs were moist. Fruit was rubbish. Service was great but what really bothered me was the 18% gratuity on parties of 6… and it still asked for a tip after the fact. Yeahhh idk about that. Also our table was chipped and can be a hazard for kids.

The Iconic Filling Station Cafe in Old Towne Orange serves hearty and delicious Classic American dishes.

There’s indoor seating and a colorful, relaxing outdoor patio as well. Love the great aesthetics and that they’re pet-friendly. Wonderful customer service from David!

Sirloin Steak & Eggs (MUST-TRY)

Belgian Waffle Breakfast with 2 eggs with 2 bacon (crispy on the outside and fluffy inside)

Tuna Salad Sandwich (Albacore tuna) This was the BEST Tuna Salad Sandwich I’ve had at a restaurant!! Loved EVERY bite!! 🧅The Onion Rings were so crispy!

Ordered the chicken nuggets kids meal for child. Get home, and they gave us jalapeño poppers. Come on! Get it together, please.

Wonderful food and service! Baltazar was fantastic! Everyone enjoyed their meals. We will be back for sure! I recommend the pancakes, they were delicious.

This jack in the box is so great I eat food and it’s like the most delicious thing best food ever and best jack in the box’s ever made my day

My sister took me to this one nearby and they had firstly never switched out items like we asked at the order box, then had to ask and fix that at the window, then when we got our food it was the wrong item of one so incorrect charge, no sauce for the special item that was supposed to have it, and stale fries :/

I went to the drive-thru and was told to wait for my order. It took them exactly 7 minutes. It's just the inconvenience I had to be somewhere at a certain time. And I gave myself plenty of time.

Old style town caffe, delicious food, great service. The blueberry muffin was perfect, not so sweet and fluffy 🤤

When in OC anaheim, try Norms. Great fresh food# the lumberjack is amazing . Hot and fresh....try the Boba drink with it...and ask for Daisy, she is the sweetest person,so full of energy and her smile is infectious...amazing service

I have been here a few times with a friend. The service is always top notch! The staff is so hardworking, warm, and welcoming. Blake is an amazing busser with a great smile! He is ON IT! George was our server most recently. I have some food allergies and he took extra care to make sure the food was going to be prepared in a manner in which I could consume it safely. I super appreciated his diligence and attention to detail. Would not hesitate to go here again.

My son went to this restaurant and ordered a hamburger combo and fried zucchini, he waited at least 30 min before he went to the counter and ask for.his food, it took them another 10 minutes to give it to Jim and when he got.to the car he realized they gave him chicken tenders instead of zucchini, he went back inside to tell them, the girl at the counter threw away the chicken tenders and he was given some not cooked properly zucchini. And then he was asked if they could do anything else for him. Well they had already done enough, made him.wait, ruined his order and gave him raw zucchini 😡😡 all with an attitude like it was his fault

I'm not going back. Great food but not worth 20.00 meal. Can go wait IN AND OUT and get the same type of meal for cheaper and taste better. IN AND OUT food 10/10 Farmers 8/10. FARMERS FOOD is not worth 20.00. Burger, drink, and fries. $20.00 per hour not worth the employees.

The food was good as always but the prices are getting a bit steep now. We had burgers, fries and dessert. Service was friendly but not frequent. She came to check on us but didn't take the dirty dishes from the table and never refilled our empty drink glasses. In fact we had to ask as for a refill as we were getting ready to leave.

Service is good. I was there with 2 client with walker, the waitress help us by holding the door. Food is good. Applexxx artichoke spinach appertizer still the best. Wing with teriyaki sauce is good. Fresh cut fried fries.

Food was good, just not good value for money. $25 per person before tip and with most of us drinking water. It's just not a cheap and easy night out anymore. Parking is always going to be problematic at this location, unavoidably. Service was slow but acceptable. Everything was clean and tidy. Just doesn't represent the value it used to. Sign of the times, maybe. I hope not. 🤷

This is one of the best Farmer Boys locations we have ever been to. The staff is friendly and efficient.

Our go-to order is the southwest chicken wrap and the zucchini sticks. They get bonus points for taking the time to cut the wrap in half. The batter in the zucchini sticks is very flavorful and they are always friend to perfection.

Brunch with 4 people was great. There was about a 20 min. wait at 10:00 AM on Sunday morning by 11 there was a long wait for others. The food was very good and priced reasonably, given the inflated times. About $16 for most plates. The service was efficiently executed. The atmosphere was antique gas station ⛽️ stuff inside and college town patio stuff outside. Suggest parking in lot off of Main Street as street parking may take a while.

Very disappointed, frys were so hard felt like crackers, beyond greasy patty and the smell was like old frying oil.

I took my family there. The girls working there super polite and friendly. It's in the industrial part of orange so we kinda had the place to ourselves. The food was awesome 👌. I e never been disappointed at any farmer boy's. The prices were great

Although the dining room was clean it was very cold. It would have been nice to remove our coats while eating. Order was not accurately made. If we had been checked on we may have voiced our disappointment, but we were asked.

I've been here several times. The food quality is always good. The service can be slow sometimes. There are a couple of shifts that have a predominant population of young ladies and they chat a lot.. still good place to eat

Pretty solid Islands - seemed to be pretty busy for a Wednesday at 12:45, but we were seated right away. Drinks came and then our wrap and burger. The hit were the fries! Best fries I've had in a while! It is expensive, but what isn't these days. Server was great and attentive.

It was a good experience for our first time at any Norms restaurants.

We showed up on a Friday around 10 am. A few parking spots available, we thought the restaurant was really busy, but it really wasn’t.

The restaurant look clean and well lit, not too noisy inside, but the bathrooms could definitely use a bit more attention (a bit dirty, and it smelled really bad)

We waited about 3 minutes before we were taken to our table. The restaurant was not too busy. Our food did take about 20 minutes to come out (maybe because it four of us, who knows).

Our waitress was very kind, polite, and friendly. She took our orders quickly, and she was always attentive with our table.

Our food came out great, it was accurate, it was tasty, and it was a good quantity for the price. We ordered the California Omelette x 2, and we an order of the chilaquiles. The three plates had very good flavor.

Will try again in the future!

This was our 3rd or 4th visit and I'm still getting the patty melt. It's a big sandwich that I 'should' only eat half of. The sweet potato fries are very good. My husband really likes the gyro sandwich and says the tzatziki sauce is very good. So far every employee has been cheerful and nice. They have their own parking lot with enough spaces.

Pleasant dining area. Feels like a hometown diner. Walkup counter service. Clean dining area. A rather large outside dining area. Food was ok. Large serving sizes and presentation was great. Club sandwich was ok. Missing avocado. Some fries tasted undercooked. Kids meal comes with the typical sides.

I went I there for a To Go order. A burger and fries combo. Well that was almost 17 bucks. Wow, well 18 minutes late I have go to the counter and ask about my order, the lady that took my order looked at me like if I just walked in and pass the receipt to someone else. And still was waiting. Done orders got theirs before I got mine. I guess I don't have a reason to place orders there. Well update after I got back to my shop and the fries were stale and the burger was a little red inside so I just microwaved it to cook more. Hope I don't get sick from it.

I go for lunch dressed like a homeless to buy a 11$ burger plus fries and then i get my sandwich smushed probably before it reached my hands for takeout. It was disappointing when i opened the wrapper, buti think cause im black and looked homeless

Can't be beaten for the price. Went here with a family member and we both ordered a broasted chicken and Greek salad. Even with inflation, the prices are still great and the food came out fast and excellent

This is my local go to for sit down. Love the O Rings. The combo meals are great with the salad, even one time we were not happy with something the owner refunded total price even though we ate the salad already, he has integrity, we will keep coming back for great food.

A great experience at Islands after over 2 years. Wait time was short, our server Chayla was fantastic and made great food suggestions. Comfortable and spacious booth with TVs to watch basketball. Carnitas Tacos were good but lacked meat, chicken burger had a well-seasoned breading and the fries were phenomenal. Kids enjoyed fresh pineapple quesadilla and Hawaiian burger. Ice-cold beer and perfectly poured margarita. Glad to return and thankful to Chayla for her excellent service.

Been going to this place for some years now and the food is actually good, and better prepared than most fast food places. I love their music selection because it gives the place an atmosphere of what a diner was like during the 50’s-60’s, though the interior appearance it’s a more modern look. The service is adequate.

We always have The Filling ⛽ Station 🍽️ on our permanent weekly dine out rotation. And Go-2 spot. Really enjoy sitting on patio with multi colored giant umbrella 🏖️ 's fore tons of shade. Best of all is such a prime spot for Old Towne Orange 🍊 "people watching."
Plus our puppy luv's goin here 2... usually meets a friend 🐕

It's been about 10 years since the last time I have visited an Islands Restaurant and like the last it was very enjoyable. Islands is one of those special restaurants that transport you someone far away. You walk in the Hawaiian themes surrounds you giving you a feel of a relaxing get away, away from home. From the decor on the walls to the bamboo decorations to the parrots hanging from the ceiling. It truly is a very tropical and puts your mind at ease. Our waitress, Melissa was so awesome! Bubbly, spunky and very attentive. Just what you want in a waitress. All smiles, the whole time we were there. Making you truly feel like your special. Great job, keep up the awesome service. If only one day more people would be just like you.
Now on to the reason you truly read the review for-The Food. Fabulous, in short. I had the crispy fried chicken sandwich with bacon and I even added the fried red onions (spectacular, who doesn't like a little extra crunch). I also asked for the truffle fries instead of regular. The chicken was crispy, perfectly cooked. The bun was excellent with just enough golden tones to it. The truffle fries were covered in truffle oil and parsley parmesan flakes with a truffle aioli duping sauce. I do have to say it was quick favorable and rich, but I was only able to
eat a few because it was so rich. My sons had the pineapple crispy chicken and my husband had the fish tacos. Both sons loved it and my husband said it was quite good, but he wished it would have had a salsa to go with it it would have been perfect. Normally, I don't go for desert, but my kids talked my husband into getting the Oreo milkshakes and then I saw the lava cake. I had to try. The lava cake was basically just a chocolate brownie with fudge and vanilla ice cream with whipped cream and cherries. My husband and I both split it and it was very good. At the end of the meal, our waitress cleared our plates and made sure we had everything we wanted, including boxes. In all, it was a great time with great people and great food. Thank you to all the staff that made this meal so good! Until we meet again. Oh at the end, my daughter did a funny little jig. I hope you enjoy!

Paul's place is one of my new favorite places to eat now I had a club sandwich dinner it was amazing 😍 it was so much food. It came with the salad, french fries and the club sandwich with the drink. One person cannot eat all this. This could be easily shared for two people.

Wrong order i don't go particularly to this location often but if I order curly fries (2) they charged for me only for one but i didnt get it any way I received regular fries If I go to jack ofcourse I want their curly fries that happened last week and now I order jumbo jack and they give me buttery jack really we are in lunch rush ain't don't have time to be inspecting food orders I just want to get my lunch and go back to work when I arrived and check wrong order, please pay attention

This location has had a lot diners that closed down over the past 10 years.
But now I have a feeling that it might not happen anymore, Paul's is a great diner with a lot of different comfort food, I personally like their chili cheese dog.
You must try this area, it's good for all age groups.
