Disgusting - Smelly, horrible seats and unclean

Screen 3

Disgusting seats. Popcorn and trash all over the place.
Torn seats
And the worst thing was the bad odor
No air conditioning. Absolutely trash

Nice theatre with big seats (some other AMCs have seats smaller than economy flights).
Popcorn is good.

Sometimes rowdy teenagers, but can't help that.
My family and I come here pretty often. Plenty of auditoriums available so there’s always a show time that works for us. The lines for food is always quick. The only thing I’m not a fan of is that they have all the popcorn staged up on the shelf so 90% of the time the popcorn is cold. Other than that we like coming to this location when we’re in the area. There is also plenty of parking spaces in the parking garage next door.

A+ for the bar tenders, the concessions guy, and the really tall security guy. All some of the nicest people I’ve ever met at an AMC movie theatre. The only thing which would have made this experience 5/5 stars is if the honey mustard dispenser wasn’t empty. My Parmesan pretzel bites needed that little kiss of honey to fully excite my pallet. Good overall though.

Went to an evening movie.
There were no lines...it was a weeknight.
Even if there were, the convenience of the call ahead to reserve specific seats is a bonus. They assign you to specific seats but there are so many available that I'm sure it wouldn't have mattered if we chose somewhere else. It can be very accommodating to have the seat assignments in advance though. Especially on a busy night.
The only complaint I have is that it was cold enough to keep my jacket on during entire movie and i still shivered. Im sure this would have been resolved if I mentioned it while I was there.
I figured it was just me until after the fact when my friend mentioned he was even cold in there.. Plus I just couldn't take my eyes off the Priscilla movie. It was kind of slow for someone that may not be into her but I'm a big fan and I enjoyed it. I could freeze to Elvis for hours anytime. ...even if hes just an impersonator.
The sound level, lighting and everything else was on point.
Parking lot was free for the first two or three hours. I think it may have been three but I know it was at least two.

Old vaudeville theater from the late 1800s? Place has a cool old-time feel and a good size for medium acts. Came to see a Global Arts concert, and it didn't exactly work for the particular rock band. Seems like an awesome space for a stand-up comedian or an acoustic performance...even a political debate. Just had a weird vibe when you really want to get up and dance.

LOVE this theater! Great place to see movies for way cheaper than AMC. Concession stand has a good selection of drinks, plus locally made ice cream! When you want to go see a movie, check here first

Theater seats are new and comfortable. The sound system was fantastic. The layout of the theater makes you feel like you are walking a narrow 3 story maze to get to your screen. Staff was helpful. However, they seemed disengaged and did not clearly want to be working there.

I haven't been back here in a while and honestly not sure how to review AMC anymore. I pretty much didn't have to interact with a person at all so not sure how to rate customer service. It's a bit of a bummer popcorn is pre scooped as sometimes it's just cold... the people I did interact with were nice but definitely did not care to be there (not in a negative way, it just seems like there's a lot of standing with things being automated). The theater was better than I remember but the seats were a bit worn and not super comfy. I should note I went to a mid afternoon show on a weekday so I would expect it to feel much busier during weekends, nights, or general movie drops.
I went to see Oppenheimer in 70mm in the main theater room in mid-August 2023.

PRO:
- The theater had a beautiful vintage design, which was a refreshing change from the flat and conservative design of most chain theaters.
- The staff was friendly.
- The temperature and seating in the main room were good.

IMPROVEMENTS:
- There was no water fountain, though I expect this was an intentional choice to drive concession sales.
Well! If you are look for opera and old school like of theatre this is the place to go. Low old school seating, magnificent screen. All I could image was history that were created here. We came to watch Oppenheimer in their 70mm theatre. Seating is first come. Got ample of seats to choose from. Would recommend one visit to this theatre for the experience. Snacks & drinks are available.

Great local, independent cinema located at Davis Square. My preferred choice to watch 70mm screenings of movies ( I have watched 3 of them so far here : Dunkirk, Oppenheimer and 2001: A Space Odyssey). Tickets are relatively cheap as well. It is also conveniently located near a parking lot right down the street which is pretty cheap. Street parking is also available. Walking distance from plenty of restaurants and bars for pre or post movie food/drink options.
It was an experience for lifetime to watch Oppenheimer on a 109 year old theater in 70 mm screen. Beautiful management, clean and convenient. Also affordable tickets for all.
The Dolby cinema here is great with reclining seats. The sound quality for the cinema was amazing. Saw mission impossible here and the cinema quality was great for an action film like that. The actual “imax” screen in under renovation however for the next couple of months.
I live nearest the blue line and prefer going to State and switching over to the orange line and going to this AMC over the one in downtown Boston. The seats are more comfortable and there's just plain more stores, restaurants and things to do in my opinion then there is around the AMC near Boylston. Might take a little longer since thr orange isn't the fastest but I don't mind it. I highly recommend this movie theater.

Fantastic new venue! Above the movie theater. Nicely appointed with long bar at back with some quiet seating, then the main floor with some tables around the sides and lotsa standing room, then a step down towards the front for a dance floor in front of stage. Saw the Hot 8 Brass Band and they were awesome!!

AMC Assembly is such a Jekyll and Hyde venue. Sometimes you're treated to an immaculate theater and an abundance of helpful staff at your beck and call. Other times, the theater is visibly not cleaned between screenings and you feel like you're sitting in moist fabric seats that have absorbed decades of sweat, candy dust, and popcorn butter. Staff have got to be more present during advanced screenings where there are usually a lot of reserved seats and general confusion. At least the screens are modern with no dead pixels.

My family went to see a Spiderman 2 . Now the movie was great but hard to get seats all 4 seats together and the popcorn was not good at all . Don't we come for fresh or warm butter popcorn !!! The first bites of this was cold and stale , I asked for a new batch. The second was much better and fresh , they just don't pop it in front of you anymore . Next I must say Soda selection is excellent especially diet we go for .Also the bathrooms seemed cleaned and fully stocked in ladies, no complaints in the men's either.

Great venue and experience. It is a small place inside, so be wary when the house is full, but the snack bar and options are plentiful.

The floor is sticky, so be prepared to have a bit of a tough time while getting to your seats.
As an AMC Premier Stubs member I love the cleanliness of The auditorium's. But most of the staff needs a lot of training, they are so rude and unprofessional.
I will say the manager is a good problem Solver and I thank her for her professionalism.

Such a great and lovely place located at the centre of shopping malls and delicious restaurants in Assembly Square! I would say plan your shopping at affordable outlets followed by a movie for an entertaining day! Check out restaurants here as they are decent and good!
