We had our wedding reception here & it was so beautiful!!! The venue is gorgeous and can be transformed to fit any aesthetic very easily. We worked with Alexis and Courtney. Courtney was our coordinator and she did an amazing job. We had a private ceremony of just the two of us and therefor we didn’t have a traditional wedding party. At many venues there are items that are set up by the wedding party. Due to not having a wedding party, Courtney took the time to set up several of our items ourselves while overseeing the coordination of our other vendors (Chef by Request for food and drink & Bloome for floral) the day of. Courtney also created our floor plan and helped us brainstorm different ideas for the layout and order of events as well as design. Courtney made sure to be there every step of the way and went out of her way to accommodate us. (A few days before our event she came in for us to drop off some items for her to set up the day of and to give me peace of mind to test our sound system). The day of she took the time to take many photos and video of the night and sent them via a google link for us to have. She is so kind and personable and was a joy to work with!
Perfect venue space for my 50th birthday party! I honestly walked in and didn’t need to look any further!! I met with Alexis first and she explained all the details they provide. Courtney worked with me also, and on the day of the event. Communication and professionalism was exceptional! I chose Uncle Bubs from their recommended caterer list , and my guests loved the food! Thank you MOMENT ON MAIN for providing me one of the best birthday memories of my life!
We had our wedding at Danada House on July 29, 2023 and it was amazing! The grounds are gorgeous in the summer with all the greenery and flowers. The house itself was fun to share with loved ones and offered many spaces for personalization on the mantel and tables. Cocktail hour and the reception were elevated by the indoor (with A/C) and outdoor spaces available to enjoy throughout the summer afternoon, evening, and into the night. The staff was easy to work with and responsive. We absolutely loved the atrium-- it felt like a natural extension of the beautiful woods around us. We definitely recommend Danada House for a wedding venue.
We had our wedding reception here and it was a great experience! We used one of their preferred caterers (Chef By Request) and it was delicious. We loved working with Alexis (owner) and Courtney (coordinator); they were a perfect balance of having extra add-on offerings without overwhelming us with decisions, and helped to make my vision come to life. Perfect winter wedding venue, but it would be lovely in the summer as well. We did our ceremony down the street at Gary UMC, which allowed us to get married without being church members, and it was an easy walk down the road for our guests, even in a snowstorm! Cannot recommend them enough for the price and the experience. Super professional and easy to work with, we never had to worry about not feeling listened to or being in a constant sales pitch. They do their due diligence to ensure professionalism from all additional vendors without being overbearing or annoying about paperwork, and Courtney made the experience day-of amazing! We had a ton of last-minute cancellations with the weather, and she assembled my re-done seating chart for me while the ceremony was happening. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to get married in the area!
Danada House is a standout wedding venue in the Chicagoland area, offering endless picturesque locations for photography. Top golf spot in Chicagoland area. The course was great, even in November. Crew does a wonderful job keeping the course up to par.
Nice course but 6 and a half hours for a 2 man scramble.... tee time at 11 and almost not enough daylight when we finished at 5:30. Also the steak tasted like lighter fluid. Meatpolooza big disappointment
Great value and highly recommend for toddlers and small kiddos. The animals are well cared for and you can make a great little outing here. I like that my toddler can walk it without a stroller and it's right in the community. Good places to eat and stroll like Lincoln Marsh are nearby too
The zoo is small, but very cute! A great place for children to learn about local wildlife.
Really classy and accommodating venue for a wedding. As a wedding DJ, this was one of my most pleasant experiences in dealing with the staff and watching them execute everything meticulously. Very professional, and I recommend them based on my deep experience with venues.
Great golf course. They improved the quality of food at the restaurant hugely. Staffs are also great... nice folks, hard working and caring. It is now my most favorite course overall.
The Moment On Main was the most incredible venue! They were so accommodating and helpful with some last minute emergencies. We are forever grateful for their support on our wedding day! The speed in which they flipped the space from our ceremony to our reception was impressive. Alexis and her team do an amazing job! We hope we can work with them again to celebrate more big moments in our life together!
So cute! My older kids loved the local animals! My youngest enjoyed everything and wanted to buy ice cream. Non residents adults are $10 each and kids 17 and under are free!
Very nice golf club, beautiful courses. Great group of caddies and helpers when you arrive and although we didn't use the 19th it looked like a very nice spot.
Had a great time at my cousins baby shower a few weeks ago. Great brunch, and of course the amazing views of the golf course. My family always has there events here.
We just had our wedding (~140 people) at The Moment on Main in June and it was fantastic. I'm still hearing from people about how seamless our wedding felt to them.

Booked Danada House for our wedding this November! Beautiful location and the atrium is amazing. The staff is so friendly and helpful during the tours. Cant wait to get married here!
We could not have picked a better venue for our wedding reception than Danada House. The grounds are truly stunning and the house itself is utterly gorgeous. We received so many compliments from guests praising the venue, and working with Jill and her team was a true joy. They were friendly, helpful, and always easy to reach. Communication was top notch, the quality of the service we received was second to none, and we loved every vendor they recommended. They make it easy for you to customize your day, which was important to us. The bridal suite upstairs proved to be a wonderful little oasis that my husband and I could use throughout the night to have a moment to ourselves, and their beautiful grounds proved to be the perfect backdrop for our photos. Our wedding was late May, so all of their beautiful flora was in bloom, and the venue felt almost magical, with how pretty everything looked. I cannot recommend Danada House enough

Truly one of the most beautiful 72 whole courses I've seen in the Midwest. First class operation with fantastic fast greens and lots of challenging holes.
Very nice wedding venue. Good food was served by teams so each person at a table was served at the same time. The teams marched in and out with military like precision. Coffee served after the meal was cold. Tasty but not very hot. No tea option. Polite and efficient bar staff.
Recently took my three year old niece for a visit. Perfect size for little ones. Barnyard animals galore. The staff is very informative and friendly. The animals are well taken care and seem in good spirits. The price of admission is reasonable. Definitely a cool place for little ones. Not too large and not too small.
Perfect little zoo for littles! So glad I discovered this gem of a zoo after having my second child with a toddler to entertain. Even though we live in Naperville it’s worth the trek because my toddler is obsessed with farm animals and it’s a very manageable outing with an infant and toddler. It’s a very manageable size for an hour or two visit (my son wanted to see each animal 3x!). Best of all, everything is pretty well fenced in and safe so it’s easy to keep a toddler in sight. There’s not really much place to run off. Some might say it’s a little small but I felt this was an advantage compared to a large more traditional zoo especially for toddlers. You’re not going to see large exotic animals but my son is more into farm animals anyway. There’s an iconic looking red barn and windmill that he got so excited about! The zoo has farm animals, birds, ducks, etc. and you can get right up close which is great for little kids. We visited in the spring and there were baby lambs and baby cows. So cute! The grounds are nice and pleasant to walk around or have a little snack or lunch. There are plenty of picnic tables. Hasn’t been too crowded during the week when we’ve gone. We will definitely be going back regularly!
The Moment on Main was nothing short of spectacular for my bridal shower. Working with Alexis and Courtney throughout the process was a true pleasure and they made sure we were taken care of the entire time. The space was stunning and well kept, you can tell there was so much thought that went into making sure it’s conducive for any event. We used Beyond Catering for our event, who is a vendor for the The Moment on Main, and our guests could not stop talking about how incredible the food was. If you are looking for a spot to host your next party, look no further, this one is perfect!

Not sure what the caboose had in it, but it was temporarily closed. They have a little gift store at the end to get a little something for your kiddos if you want. All and all a nice time there

I photographed Sarah & Kurt's wedding here and really enjoyed the venue. The house is perfect for getting ready and the grounds are beautiful for all your portraits. The ceremony location is inside (so weather is no concern) and the large windows let in tons of light and provide a gorgeous view out during your ceremony. This venue is the perfect space - especially when you want to do everything at one location. Not having to drive around on your wedding day is something overlooked by many couples.
Come for the experience of a small town feel Christmas, not for the animals. They have lights at night, a few animals to see, a nice zoo store for Christmas gifts, a very good place to buy Christmas trees, hot chocolate and more. We go here every year and enjoy it every year.
The Moment on Main recently hosted my baby shower, and let me just say the staff here is amazing! If you're looking for a modern, sleek, open concept venue to host your next event The Moment on Main is the place to book, I promise you will not regret it! From the moment my boyfriend and I walked into the space Alexis was so delightful and welcoming! She helped us pick a date and was even so accommodating to change our event date with no hesitation! Our party coordinator Nicole was just as amazing! She was so helpful in really putting the space together the way we wanted it. She was very organized, accommodating, helpful, and always there to answer any questions! I love that at The Moment on Main you have free range to decorate the space the way you want to. With that being said all the decoration my mom made turned out beautiful in this space and all our guests were ranting and raving about how great everything turned out. Our experience at The Moment on Main was nothing but perfect and I would not hesitate to book again!!
This venue is not only modern and gorgeous, but the owner (Alexis) and event coordinator (Nicole) are fabulous! They both made sure my Baby shower went smoothly. Nicole was there the day of the event early and willing to help out in any way possible, including helping set up my decor. This venue requires little decor, as it is gorgeous in it’s own. I will definitely be using this venue again for future parties!
Cantigny has been one of the highest rated public courses in the Chicagoland area for years. After my first visit, I can see why. It has 3 different nines to choose from. Although I only played 18, I have to assume the additional nine is of similar quality. As such, it's a truly enjoyable, high-quality golf experience.
As a former member of the U.S. Infantry, I was surprised to find the military elements that are part and parcel of Cantigny. Apparently, even the name, Cantigny, is due to a military connection. The owner of the property was a Colonel in the First Infantry Division in WW1, and won a battle in Cantigny, France.
So, I really appreciated the respect and the emphasis that the course places on honoring the military. Make sure you check out all of the historic pictures that are available for you to see in the clubhouse area.

Great way to spend a summer afternoon. Fun for young children but also for adults. A great space to walk around and enjoy the weather. The animals are basic farms animals and i couldn’t really see any of the birds.
Side note: I would come around 4 pm next time because it was blisteringly hot from 1-3pm. But there is not much crowd around that time too.

Just played 18 (Woodside/Lakeside) and I have to say this is the most fun I’ve had on a golf course. Just gorgeous views, wide fairways, and true greens. Must plan your shots accordingly!Sitting in the clubhouse now eating an amazing Buffalo chicken wrap as I overlook lakeside 9th green. you gotta give Cantigny a try, I will definitely be returning when I’m back in town.
The house tour was fantastic thank to Carol that volunteer there. Such a positive , warm lady full of knowledge, kindness , what an energy ! I will always remember this place thanks to her.
Beautiful course in great shape. Each hole is more scenic than the next. Greens were in great shape and putted very true. They looked faster than they were so came up short a lot on the first few holes. Played with my sons on Fathers day and it was not busy at all. Came in from MN to this course based on ratings. Highly recommend.
Free tours of the opulent Robert McCormick mansion. The beautifully landscaped grounds are open to walk and view. The only charge is five dollars for parking.

Amazing place! So peaceful and beautiful. The mansion is amazing and the architecture will wow you. The tours are very informative and the property just oozes history. You can easily spend a day exploring the museums, rose gardens, trails, golfing. Highly recommended to check out. Ten bucks to get in and that's it. Well worth it!
The house is absolutely stunning. From the decor in the house to the furnishings that some are hundreds of years old. By far one of the best places to visit at the park if you have an hour to spend to take the tour it's worth it. To see all the different secrets that are hidden in the house like the serving calling button and the secret bar in the library. If you have the time definitely take a stop by and take the tour.
The Robert R. McCormick Museum is a stunning 35-room mansion that was the home of Chicago Tribune Editor and Publisher Colonel Robert McCormick. Completed in 1897, the mansion is filled with period artifacts from the Civil War through the early 1900’s. One favorite is the handwritten letter from Abraham Lincoln to the Chicago Tribune requesting a back issue in November 1860. Amazing.
The ponds and fountains and serene. There are dozens of formal and informal gardens and a wide variety of flowers and trees. (See photos.) The Mansion is open most days for tours. It was cool seeing where scenes from Tom Hank’s "A League of Their Own" were shot. There are a number of different tours but the Full House tour shows you the most. The staff obviously love being here.

Awesome! It was cheap to get in ($5 per car), and it was so pretty! What a nice chunk of land with impressive landscaping (gardens, tanks, children's area, ponds, etc.), a really informative and uniquely designed museum, and one of the best tour guides of any tour I've been on at the estate. We had a blast walking around enjoying the view and learning some history! We wished we knew about it sooner! This is a perfect day trip for anyone- even for handicapped persons and children!
