This place seems like a hidden gem or an undiscovered spot. I decided to explore it and was amazed to see it. Now I feel should have visited here earlier.
The place has very large area and yet seems to be well maintained, although some patches were logged with mud due to rain.
The place has war memorial at entrance and gives those vibes at visiting the place. People enjoy there and also kids practice for games. Place has good scenic beauty with photogenic places.

We went to the City Bird Sanctuary, Chandigarh at sec 21, today, 08 July 2024. Google maps showed Sanctuary open till 1900h. On reaching the gate, it had boards stating that the Santuary is open. As we entered, a person without uniform, stopped us from entering. On asking his status at the Sanctuary, he could not confirm any identification of being an employee of the Sanctuary.
The Sanctuary had no birds or employees who could guide us.
It was wastage of time and vehicle fuel. The bird Sanctuary appears to be shut indefinitely for which the forest department has not put any board.
Google maps need amendments too.

This is sector 3 park known as Bougainvillea Garden and War memorial, you can come and relax your mind here with a brisk walk, jogging or yoga here.. positive vibes(YT:- Chilloutcheema)

A one time visit place. Different species if parrots available to see. You can even get a Blue-and-gold Macaw to sit on your arm (additional charges of Rs.100 applied). The swans (white and black swans) can also be seen in a beautifully constructed habitat. Some ducks are also there.
Really liked this. A new concept in Chandigarh. Bird lovers will love the place but others will also like it because of the vibe there. Full of artificial waterfalls and greenery😄

It's Good but not that great.. Named birds park and it has only 4 to 5 types of birds in this. The cleanliness level is at par. It will take approx 30 mins to roam around. Whoever visits Chandigarh and who loves nature should be there at least once.

Located close to Sukhna lake , this is a really nice attraction for family and kids . It’s fairly new and built in huge area although they could have made better parking for the visitors . The tickets are clearly marked and your receipt is considered your ticket to enter also. Kids under 5 go for free .

It was a wonderful experience. Chandigarh has now become an excellent tourist place where one needs to stay 2-3 days watch it's beauty properly.

This place is under the forest department and a nice place to get the idea of natural habitat of butterflies. There is no entry fee, but a lot can be done to attract locals or tourists to add to their experience, like a small cafeteria or sitting area etc.

Although the place is nice soothing but it for crying out loud it is a park and Google shall not mix it up for people like us with bird sanctuary. As the Chandigarh bird sanctuary is different and this ground or park whatever we call it is totally different. We were 7 different people who entered here and all were of the opinion that we're at a wrong place as the board says it's a bird sanctuary but the door remains closed and the actual bird sanctuary is located near rock garden this is just the board in a park with some trees and swings.

Butterfly park is very beautiful park in chandigarh sector 26. That place is nice and amazing park. Different categories in butterfly is their. I visit with my family and friends.
Please note that there are two bird parks in Chandigarh. The one here is CITY BIRD SANCTUARY in Sector 21 . As of April 2024 it is a normal park with walking areas . There is a restricted and locked area know as the core of sanctuary. However the pics in google maps showing many birds is of the Bird Park which is near Rock Garden. I find many people wrongly visitng the city bird sanctuary at Sector 21 misguided by the pics in google. So incase you want to visit those birds pls visit bird park near rock garden.
I was on a trekking and sight seeing tour of four days with the French ambassy guest, it was my birthday and the guest gave me a birthday treat at ridge. Food out there is amazing as on request they cooked total non chillie butter chicken which was amazing....

I really loved this city. What a well planned and executed city and the gardens like this where not only kids but elders can also enjoy. This garden is very very beautiful 😍 and they have so many butterflies with very different ranges. I must say the work, local government is taken to keep this garden beautiful is very recommended.

This is a lovely park. Many animal shapes created out of creepers and bushes attract children to this park. peaceful place. Good for walking and jogging.
It’s a good, peaceful place in Chandigarh. It is basically a park with lots of trees and shrubs. It is not very big but very neat and clean. A few butterflies one can spot here. Not many! Parking space is a bit tight. Entry is free. There is no restaurant inside the garden. One can spend an hour here.

A beautiful and peaceful park in Sector 35A in Chandigarh. Not large, but varied in flora.
This is not actually a bird sanctuary. It is just a park where you can walk and have a stroll. You can come with your family here and enjoy some time. It is a good and quiet place to spend time with yourself and with your family. You can come with a few friends also if you want. The park is open the whole day. The is an area of this park which is locked. I think the birds are available in that area, but it is closed for the public.
The timings are displayed on the board attached with this review. The board has two different timings. You can check it up. One timing is 5:00 am to 8:00 pm and the other one is 5:30 am to 7:00 pm. I suppose it is the winter and the summer timing.

It's very near to Punjab Bhawan. It is great opportunity for us we are living in the country of great people who sacrifice their life without thinking anything. Awesome show must visit. It is located in sec 17 Chandigarh . We enjoyed a lot it was showing in evening. Along with founation u can see visual videos like video songs and enjoy songs. Founation goes in many directions . It was fabulous experience and never ever seen before . U can enjoy ice-cream along with watching show in summer. U will feel cool near about founation specially in summer.
I guess I must have been just riding around the beautiful campus when I saw the P.N. Mehra Botanical Garden and really for the first time in my life fell in love very obviously with a garden. That was in 2000 or thereabouts. Those studying Botany are lucky to be here officially.
Beautiful park! Well maintained. Visited after quite some time. So many postcard worthy views, especially right after rain showers! With separate jogging and walking tracks, it’s ideal for workouts. People follow social distancing.

One of the most beautiful parts of P.U. campus. April-June is white lily blossom season and July - August is Lotus bloom season. Visit this place any time of the year and it always welcomes with bounteous splendour of nature. I can't figure out the cactus area though. It's really really really creepy and doesn't belong in that place. But I guess it's the beauty of it all as well. Enjoy the Park :)

It was great to see laser show. Timing are 6 to 6.30 ,7 to 7.30 and 8 to 8.30 pm. It's located in middle of Market .where enough place to sit and enjoy the show ..the best timing to watch is last show . And there are various shopping options available . And great food to eat .
It was really awful to watch this show. Loved spending time here. The show starts from 7:30 pm in summers. It lasts upto 9 pm. There is no ticket to watch this show and is absolutely free of cost. There is also a market of popular brands nearby.

It's a Lovely Place in Evening. If You Visit Chandigarh You Must go here. The Fountain Show is very Good. Show Timing are 6:30-7:00 PM, 7:30-8:00 PM. The Laser light show on water is simply Awesome.
Good place to visit. Just a suggestion that they must open cactus garden to all which was closed.
