Amazing place
Came here on honeymoon with my wife
We arrived a little before sunset and was able to take some pretty nice pictures and videos
It was a little packed with other tourists but amazing views nonetheless.
Waited for a little bit after sunset to see the sky turn purple and was able to take many more even better pictures as there were fewer people around.
This meant I was able to take much nicer pictures with a incredible views and sunset skies without people being in the shots.
Definitely recommend and be careful of the waves hitting you

I got drenched trying to take a video not realising how unexpectedly high the waves crash
10/10 would go
Aim to stay a little after sunset as they close around 8/9ish so keep that in mind.
A lot of stalls and souvenir shops around but didn't bother going into them although wish I did if I had the time

This place was nice to see and take pictures. There are a lot of shops and restaurants on the way to the temple, then there are also restaurants at the top of the hill so you can overlook the temple and the ocean. Very beautiful views here.

Beautiful temple, nice scenic views, bit of a walk if you have kids, can take pram but not to all of the places. Few shops and restaurants are there too. Plenty of car park, best to visit around sunset but leave early if you want to get there in time as there is lot of traffic.
Adults will have to pay for ticket but it’s like drive through so keep the cash ready and they’ll give you a receipt.

Tanah Lot and surrounds are absolutely breathtaking. We were lucky enough to visit when the tide was out, so got very close to the temple. Watching the sunset and the micro Bats come out from the caves for the night was such an amazing experience. Highly recommend visiting this beautiful place.

Sublime place to spend watching the sun go down. Huge area to spread across so although there are massive crowds we barely feel that there are too many people.

Just walk right up, grab a table at one of the cafes and have a drink. Although the view is premium, the prices are not.
Sunset Beach Tanah Lot has an amazing view and many more things to fill your day. I will definitely come back to spend a whole day browsing there, our time got cut short as it was already late and dark, we visited the temple as our last destination for the day.

Other things to do:
- Markets with many on displays
- Food
- Toilet 🚻 is well maintained
- Parking 🅿️
- Entry Fees like all the places we’ve visited. (I think it’s normal)
- Security on site (secured)
- Sunset is beautiful

Most tourists places are only less than 100kms distance from the Denpasar airport, though if you love nature more than just the beach and clubbing, “Ubud” a town off the beach scene is my best suggestion for finding accommodation for your planned trip. From there, most places is only about1 hour to 1 and half hour normal car road trip mostly 38kms or less.

That’s as much as I can say for now.

A beautiful temple in the sea, where people gather around sunset to watch the magnificent sun set, and listen to the music of the waves crashing on the shore.

I suggest you to visit a bit early, as it gets very crowded, and the good spots get taken quickly. There is a huge like to be able to enter the temple, which I didn't do, I simply enjoyed marveling at the temple from outside.

Even if it's location is a bit secluded, I can guarantee that it is totally worth the ride
Wspaniałe miejsce, jeszcze piękniejsze widoki. Trzeba tu być 👍

I would say it's worth it to make the trip up to Tanah Lot. Beautiful architecture, nice beach breeze, and good views of the ocean and temple. I would go around sunset if I were you! I went in the heat of day and it made it hard to capture the sights on camera. I can imagine how much more aesthetic it would look around dusk.
Went there by hiring online taxi Gojek. Advise not to stay for dinner at Tanah Lot, else it is difficult to hire online taxi back to your hotel. The shops there closed as early as 730pm and rarely can find Gojek or Grab taxi around.
amazing view at sunset, must visit here at least once in your life!! You won't regret coming here, even though the road and route here are quite far, you will be very satisfied. really beautiful sunset.

This is a very beautiful place for sightseeing. The lot has a small temple nearby but you will have to walk through the water to access the temple. And also seems like tourists can only view the temple from outside. The beach is stunning. There are many view for picture taking but there will be many visitors also. Overall, this is a good place for travellers destination.

The missus picked the tourist site for her Bali bucket list, so I planned a sunset visit and got there with 30+ minutes before the sun set (at 6.18pm that day). Can't recall exactly how much we paid to get in, but it should have been about IDR100+k for 2 adults, a child and the rental car. There's a bit of walk down from the carpark to the beach, walking through a wide avenue straddled by the typical souvenir shops. When we got to the beach, it was already filled with a couple of hundred sightseers who walked further out due to the low tide (high tide would have been a better sight?). Pretty impossible to take a shot that would not have someone else in it. Tanah Lot and its temples are beautiful, but on hindsight, it might have been better if we went during the low-peak times. We had a mini-phototaking competition within the family, looked at a few clear ponds that appeared due to the low tide, and left shortly after a 30 minute visit.
They expect you to pay 60k per person but you don't exactly know what you pay for as you cannot enter any temple in the complex. Feels a bit like a national scam :/ Nevertheless views are incredible.

A nice place, but you can’t do anything. It’s kind of a see it and never go back place, they charge you 10.000 rupia to bless you, then you can go walk up the stairs, and once you go few steps the gates are closed and you can come back . So yeah. But scenery is nice
Rất tuyệt

Absolutely stunning temple and sunset location.
Lots of people; some areas were more crowded/popular than the others.
10-15 minute wait times for the blessings.
Definitely a must-see spot while visiting Bali.
I would recommend going 30-60 minutes before sunset so you can walk around and enjoy the temple.

One of favorite destination in Bali. It's a temple suround by the sea with a beautiful sunset. If you plan to buy souvenirs, it's a perfect place to go, because it comes with a complex of store a long the way in to the temple. Perfect time to pay a visit around 4 until the sun goes down if you are a sunset lover.

A must visit place in Bali!! There is the Batu Balong temple on a cliff and the Tanah lot temple on a rocky Island in the sea which is accessible during low tide.
Great place to enjoy a spectacular sunset.
Try to come here at least 1.5 hr before sunset so that you have ample time to walk around and take pictures in good light.
Make sure to sit, relax and enjoy the wonderful place before leaving.
Entry tickets cost 50000 IDR.
Entry ticket is Rp60K and the parking ticket is Rp5K.
Beautiful temple with mesmerizing surroundings.
During low tide, you can reach the cliff by foot.

The location is famous for sunset views. Small restaurants are available in the surroundings.

Good spot to click memorable pictures.

It's undoubtedly the best place to visit in Bali. The temple, the sea and the vast surroundings is simply breathtaking. Watching the high tides breaking on the rocks is a true pleasure. Even after spending half day I felt it was less. So keep sufficient time to spend at this place. The temple is dedicated to Balinese sea Gods and Goddesses and there are several different temples within the complex. So a lot of photo opportunities are there. A must visit place in Bali.

One of our favourite temples in Bali so far. This place has something magical, it has wonderful views to the ocean and some different areas to appreciate the temple. The sunset was perfect (but a little bit crowded)

Great beach and Amazing entrance to the temple. Excellent location for taking sunset pictures. Be careful it's very windy and the waves are pretty strong. Was very pleasing inside the temple and one can have the "ME" time looking at the amazing sunset all alone with sound of waves. Must ho to place on your visit to Bali.
Beautiful place, I mean beautiful!!! It's clean, helpful people, and

This sprawling temple grounds is a favorite amongst locals and tourists alike, so expect it to be busy when you arrive.
We had a private tour guide, which I would recommend, as he was very helpful and informative, and took lots of photos for us.
The temple itself is on a small island just off the coastline, making it unique. You cannot enter most temples in Bali (this one included). You can look at the temple from multiple viewpoints and get some great photos, and at low tide you can walk along a rocky and irregular pathway to walk around the temple. (We were visiting at high tide, so the walkway was closed)
There are many shops and restaurants on the temple grounds that you can explore.
It is a favorite place amongst many to watch sunsets, too.
There is no strict dress code or no requirement to wear any wraps or other covering apparel to enter the temple grounds here.
Good place to see sunset. Perfect combination of rocky beach with high wave and colorful sky. However, it is very crowded during sunset time.

Nice place to visit but for domestic tourists the ticket price is a little expensive.
The optimal time to visit the temple is between six and seven hours after sunset. In any other case, the temple is open from 7 am to 7 pm.
Should one visit Tanah Lot?
One of the most important temples for Balinese Hindus, Tanah Lot is situated on a sizable rock off the shore. Great place. Long beach, no people, big waves, you can spend a good time there, I enjoyed it a lot. 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Lodge I’d pour gelid
Stunning views across the temple. Definitely a good place to have lunch or drinks, while waiting for the sunset.
We stopped there in the afternoon. Most people come for sunrise or sunset when the light is just right. Also the tide is important, low tide you can walk across to the Temple , which becomes an island at high tide . As we we're leaving just outside the gate a parade of several villages we're marching toward us into the temple for a ceremony.
Beautiful coastal scenery with great sunset view as well, although can get quite crowded. Need to pay to use the toilets here, if you go to the car park instead can use toilets for free which are clean as well. Plenty of shops to buy souvenirs and food and drink nearby. Recommended place for your itinerary.

Quiet, good waves for beginners and advanced alike. A good shower to rinse after the sea

Tanah Lot is a very scenic place, especially the sunsets here are too beautiful. The temple is located nearby.

Tanah Lot means "Land [in the] Sea" in the Balinese language. Located in Tabanan, about 20 kilometres (12 mi) North West of Denpasar, the temple sits on a large offshore rock which has been shaped continuously over the years by the ocean tide.

Beautiful black sand beach in west Bali, just 15minutes from Canggu and you can find this hidden gem surrounded by beautiful rice paddies, palmtress and local villages. Feels like back to Bali in 20 years ago. Recommended for surfers (good waves) and the best part is this beach is still virgin and quite, not many tourist, and there is a temple right in the entrance.. Such a beautiful place

The access to the beach is down a very narrow track, half buried in fresh mud dug from the paddy fields on either side. It was a bit scary in parts especially in the rain. After the track runs out you need to walk a short distance to the beach and there were a lot of mosquitoes in this area. I loved this beach, it is a barren, quiet place, especially just after it has rained. There are no shops/cafes etc at all at the beach and with difficult access I would probably not recommend this to non surfing tourists.
