Great exhibits with lots of information in German and English about individual pieces and artists. I liked the variety, with many artists displayed but arranged thematically. I particularly enjoyed the Gottfried Helnwein exhibit, it's very well put together and has a lot of interesting information about his information for most pieces displayed. Plenty of free lockers available to store your things for a €1 deposit, which the woman working the cloakroom gladly directed people towards instead of taking their money, which I appreciated. Overall nicely run and easy to spend 2-3 hours here.

Great museum with a fantastic selection of exhibitions. Staff is very polite and helpful. The rooms feel cozy and spacious at the same time. Not many people in there either. The giftshop also has a wide selection of items. Goya, Durer, Miró, Picasso,...Overall a fabulous experience, highly recommending.

I didn’t go into the Albertina itself but it is a nice photo spot for the Opera house as it overlooks it. The outside of the building is perfect for taking pictures of the surrounding scenery.
A huge museum that exhibits earth formation to human evolution. The explanation for the exhibition is rather detailed. I personally spent 2+ hours just on the exhibition on 1st floor.
On 2nd floor there is a cafe and another exhibition which I did not explore.
You can easily spend half a day there to explore the entire museum.
I visited the museum on weekday and there are a lot of visitors, mainly students.
If you carry a bulky bag, you can store it in a locker but prepare a 50 cents or eur1 coin.
Housed in an opulent neo-Renaissance building, Vienna's Natural History Museum is home to over 30 million objects, showcasing the world's rich tapestry of biodiversity, evolution, and Earth's history. With exhibits ranging from prehistoric fossils and dazzling minerals to the extensive anthropological collection, it offers a comprehensive journey through time. Tips: Allocate at least two hours to fully appreciate the museum.
Impressive building unfortunately with partly covered areas due to construction/renovations, completely surrounded by construction trucks and equipment. The is a cute bronze sculpture of an elephant donated by local artist in front of the building. We did not go in.

Absolutely magical and wonderful! 2nd concert tonight! Wonderful Performance, unique and favourite music, lovely atmosphere and absolute great/ special Locations! Keep going guys! Hats off and standing applause like tonight! @Candlelight.concerts @Fever
Building itself was quite stunning. There was a very large collection of stones, meteorites etc. and quite a lot information about animals (especially birds) and humans. I would of appreciated if there would of been more about prehistoric times (mostly dinosaurs).
It’s beautiful church, when you are in the Vienna, you should visit must. I don’t have any words to explain.
It was really nice to be able to be able to see and actually touch old roman ruins and learn how they built their under floor heating system.
The museum i quite small with 3 different levels, that you could allocate 1-2 hours for your visit to.
If you are in a hurry and only want to see and touch some genuine old roman ruins, I would recommend going straight down to the basement and spend half an hour down there reading the signs, and waiting for a horse carriage to pass above your head on the street above the basement, that really gives you a feeling of being transported back in time.

The top level of the museum is suffering from bad ventilation and had a bad smell when I was visiting.

If you are interested in Ancient roman ruins and learning more about roman society it is well worth a visit.

They have a particularly good video detailing how acheductes in ancient times worked from spring to sewer on the second floor.

A museum full of history and above all with updated and interesting exhibitions. I really liked the distinction between the exhibitions but also the chance to admire so many emerging artists or rediscover the old ones. I recommend a visit to anyone 🙌🙌
This is a fabulous museum!! I’ve lived in Tunisia, Croatia, Serbia, and Italy and visited Roman sites in all of them. This is the first time I have ever been able to visualize and better understand the Roman way of life. Fantastic museum and worth your time if you want to learn more about the history of Vienna.
Nice place and square

This is the small tower of the Stephansdom, the one with the cyan copper roof. Funnily enough, it provides a better view of the city than the North tower because it isn't covered.

The view includes details on the cathedral's roof that you can't see from the ground, and most of the city (except for what is behind the North tower). You also get a closer look at the intricate details on the aforementioned North tower.

Getting up (and down) the tower is done via lift and is very fast.
Big open garden area with great viewpoints, both of the Palace and off the panoramic scene below. There are lots of sculptures and hedges around to give it a grand feeling. Free entry

Hands down our favourite thing during a 10 day holiday with kids in Vienna. So great we came back and went to more of their exhibits later in the holiday. It's not a museum in the normal sense - more a set of perfectly executed "experiences" for kids, all with humour, wit and wonder in abundance. We found the age suggestions worked very well for our English speaking kids (who were well catered for).

If you have kids - just go. Book in advance as it does sell out.

If u want a beautiful view, just try it .. it is not scary and it is worth it .. especially in the evening 🌆🌃.. it is 1min 30 sec ride or max 2 min.. but i love it ..

Magic happens there, as all this wonderful art is just in front of you and you can finally feast on it.
Amazing impressionists exhibition and my favourite Sedlacek 😍.
I would strongly recommend booking tickets online at least one day before you go to avoid the queue.
I would also strongly recommend visiting their cafe with an awesome chocolate cake and coffee.
The views are, of course, stunning because it's Vienna!

The view from the top is amazing. The one problem there no lift, so you need to go to the top by your own, it's a bit challenging.
One of the most amazing gardens I have ever saw in my life. Great architecture as well.
They take good care of the plants. You need to visit them.
I love the view of the city and the encounter of history with modern arts in this beautiful garden. There are also some interesting facts that you can read about the life of Prince Eugen, these can be read for free in English and German (in case you don't feel like joining a guided tour).
Highly overrated. The time slot booking is a scam to increase demand. Over priced. If you take away Klimdt and the historical room, can be skipped. But do visit to see the nice gardens etc which are free.
Lovely place, small but dense museum, curated with care. Totally bilingual too. (With the exception of the story of the excavation process itself) Absolutely recommended.

My son loved this place and the counselors were kind enough to translate into English for him. We went twice in the 2 weeks we were in Vienna.
Beautiful church, we skipped the hike by the way. I am sure the view from the top would have looked amazing but it's equally amazing inside and the surrounding. It was very busy It didn't matter what time we had gone. Beautiful church and beautiful location. Definitely recommend.

Wonderful museum with a lot of Picasso's and Monet's. I particularly liked that the museum organized the rooms in a loop. You start with the most famous Monet's and end with the most famous Picasso's. If one is not interested in between you can skip from the first to the last room. The audio guide is helpful for art novices and available on smartphones for 3 euros each. Of course bring your own headphones.
The Albertina has a lot more exhibitions but we only had time for one

What a great museum! We managed to see only one exibition and kids could be there much more than 90 minutes so it is a really good reason to visit Vienna again. I appreciate helpful and friendly stuff.
Very nice garden. Some of the flower beds weren't fully maintained. There is an art exhibition throughout the garden which was very interesting

Very nice attractions park. Very easy to visit with the public transport, just a few minutes walking to the metro station. Nice to spend some time there
Extraordinary museum with exquisite taste. The comparison and similarities between the works of Claude Monet and Pablo Picasso was amazing. The art of impressionism and abstraction really caught my eye. The museum was perfectly sectioned and very clean and neat. Being an art enthusiast and art lover, It was a great visit. We visited with the previously bought Vienna Pass.
Stephansdom is a very important and well-known building in the city that visitors are sure to notice. What I found most impressive about Stephansdom was the roof. I really like the designs and the colors on the roof, which is not very common.
The top of the cathedral is also accessible for visitors to explore. All you need to do is purchase the ticket and then go up the stairs. The inside of the cathedral is very nice and really big. This cathedral is different from the others I have visited. It is not grand or extravagant, there are no big oil paintings on the ceiling or anything like that.
St. Stephen's Cathedral is very tall and it has four towers.

The Stephansdom Nordturm (North Tower) is one of the four towers popular amongst tourists. The tower can be visited by the public and offers stunning views of Vienna.

The church is very old and sacred. The architecture of this church is very old and beautiful .

The No entrance fee is a set up, once you are there you have to pay roughly €5 per a ride, I suppose it helped keep the wait time low but it added up fast. If you have more than one child, it’s best to set ground rules on number of rides per a child or you will end up spending Disney money without the Disney experience.

No entrance fee, you pay for each ride (about 5 Euro). Overall had no lines and some fun rides! Food was affordable too. Overall a solid way to spend a Sunday when most else is closed.
Such a lovely place, we bought tickets for both upper and lower and it was fantastic, the huge gardens are lovely to walk around.

I will say be patient with the amount of people that take selfies with the paintings but it is great to see everyone enjoying the beautiful artwork!

Bring a packed lunch and a bottle of water!

Best attraction in Vien. Beautifull view from top. Price is not high, but could last a little bit longer.
Good place to sit and relax if you have plenty of time. I was here during my short trip to Vienna. Greenery all over. It's peaceful. The place is clean and well maintained. Lots of benches to sit under the trees. Overall I spent good quality time relaxing here after walking a lot in the city.

Loved it! Take a bit of time to really get the history, it’s really worth it! Very helpful and friendly staff.
As a childcare worker, I've come to the ZOOM museum with a few different children and have had nothing but positive experiences. The exhibits are fun, engaging, and educational. Somewhat less importantly, I've always had a good time myself. The communication exhibit has gotten me interested in Morse Code and it's just been a pleasure coming here.
Very interesting museum, I didn't know much facts about Vienna history. It's very important to keep memory and history. Thanks. Tatiana Ukraine
This palace is very grand and big. Have two large gardens in front and back. Lots of romantic spots and places to sit. Tulip flowers add beauty to gardens and fountains. It's better to start your walk around the garden from the front then the back. If tired, can rest at the cafe. It takes several times to take the train from Vienna to the Belvedere. Morning and evening are the best time to visit this place. Near the entrance there is a souvenir shop.

Wow
What a great park. I have been to many but this was a standout - well maintained - bright colorful and fun. Prices owe ride we’re reasonable or just come for a walk-about.
The amusement park is very not out of the city, it is very close to many other sites seeing places. Transport is available very often so you can plan at last minute like me for instance. I went solo and still managed to have fun but if you are planning to visit here with family or friends, then you will not be disappointed.
This was cool. Not huge, but cool. The items are super well preserved. The history is very cool. Everything is in English and German.
Came on first Sunday of the month, free entrance, and lots of family there for educating children, learned lots of background and theories, amazing experience!

A great mix of medieval and contemporary art. They have a wonderful audioguide available in multiple languages if you download their ap on your phone. You can connect to the museum's wifi to do so. Took 2 hours to do the entire audio guide.

It was a unique experience. Our 2.5 old son was so excited, that he didn't want to go! A small tip: you have to book in advance your tickets, i would suggest one day before you go.

Nicely and thoughtfully curated. The guide was wonderful. Contemporary exhibits explores universal themes that thread through both religious and secular society alike. A very good mix of pieces as well ranging in emotional tone. Brings life to the universality of religious artifacts and reveals a relatable, universal human experience.

If you have a tiny person and are in Vienna this place should be on your list.

Immersive story time with the group at the beginning, with the host taking time to subtly deliver it in English to me when my high school German gave out.

The environment is fun, interactive, and adults have as much as the children watching them enjoy themselves.

My toddler loved it and there was a school trip of 5 year olds also enjoying it.

The staff are kind, interact brilliantly with the children.
The North tower of the cathedral offers a great view of the market surrounding the church, but also the city. The stair climb is definitely a cool experience and challenge, but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone with a poor physical condition or any type of health issues. There is also a lift that will take you very close to the top, for an extra fee. Overall, worth a visit if you want to burn some calories, and get a nice view at the end.

4 stars for the museum. It's interesting but small. The art exhibition comparing modern day social justice images with medieval images really made me think - and I'm not one normally for art. Why 5 stars? The lady at the ticket office was so friendly and delighted I used my rather basic German. Also, the availability of English translations available.
Roman 10th legion built this fort very near the Danube River. Lots of historical details excavated from under Vienna providing valuable insite of life during this period and shows how advanced and skilled the Roman empire was.

The Römermuseum is part of the Wien Museum and it offers a chance to discover how life in ancient Vienna (Vindobona) was like.
The exhibition is interactive and user friendly, combining the classic display of objects with videos and 3D reconstructions of the ancient city.
Furthermore, the underground section hosts very interesting and well preserved roman archaeological remains.

Such an absolutely wonderful place for children to learn! We attended a class in the atelier and had a fun time creating beautiful art. My son especially enjoyed it as he still talks about it over a month later! The teachers were so great with the kids and explained everything to them so well. Such an interactive, hands-on class. An absolute joy! And although the class was 99% in German, and we speak zero German, we still were able to follow along and make due. Luckily the instructor spoke English and could answer any questions we had but it was a straight forward class. (We had the pleasure of attending the "Be a Plaster Master" class in May 2019).
Geheimtipp für einen Museumsbesuch ohne Stress. Sehr interessante Räume. Sehr schöner Museumsshop. Besuch sehr empfehlenswert.

In the forecourt next to the entrance to this atmospheric little church, a memorial records that Mozart lived here between March 18 and May 2, 1781. The young genius was here for only a few weeks but it was a decisive period for Mozart as it was during this time that he clashed with his employer, the Archbishop of Salzburg. As a result, the 25-year old Mozart resigned and decided to remain in Vienna as a freelance artist. It was a self-assured and courageous decision in light of the fact that most of the savings of the former child prodigy had been exhausted. It marked the beginning of a turbulent decade with great artistic successes, a happy marriage, children, wealth and respect combined with failures, intrigues, illness, debts and a premature death.
Johannes Brahms also lived on the top floor of the building between 1863 and 1865.
In the courtyard of the Deutschordenshaus, where you can visit the Treasury of the Teutonic Order, there are windows with old, wrought-iron lattice. Behind the windows is a small 18th century concert hall where the Mozart Ensemble Vienna performs concerts. Walk through the second courtyard (the summer location of a relaxed outdoor cafe) to return to Singerstrasse.
Continue left a few yards to Blutgasse. Time seems to have come to a standstill in the picturesque courtyards of numbers 9 and 3. The view from the window into this courtyard inspired Wenzel Müller (1767-1835) to compose the song titled: “Kommt ein Vogerl geflogen”. At the end of Blutgasse you come to Domgasse.

Beware tourists, this place has the 4 m wall around the garden and the entrance is only from near this Belvedere Palace (which can be visited though). So you need to take tram D to "Schloss Belvedere" station and enter through there. Even so, we arrived on a Monday, hence half of the garden was closed in preparation of a lavish wedding reception, which made the entire garden filled with staff and plastic tents. Nice view, but rather kitch garden and not very tourist-friendly.
