After getting into the this museum, you can go to the cafe for a meal or drinks, a regular size cafe,
however everything on the menu is much more expensive than other museums cafes.
The exhibitions in this museum were ok. If you have more than a week stay in Vienna, probably may consider a visit.

It is a very nice place for children, with food, menu, at accesible prices, soace for Birthday parties, nicely separated from the rest.

Contains members of the Hapsburg Royal family dating back to the 1600s. Lots of beautifully ornate caskets. Little plans of the crypt in various languages are free to pick up, but they only mention a few of the people. Lots of caskets are not featured, and too far back or round corners, so impossible to read who they were.
Smaller cousin of its more famous Belvedere cousins, this modern-art focussed gallery is quite a different space to the others. Very open and spacious, with much less visitation than the others. Modern art is very subjective of course - I found the exhibitions interesting, if not exactly my cup of tea.
It's a good one, they have a huge collection of modern art including painting, furniture and ceramics. We took an audio guide and it wasn't too bad but could have been more interesting. Recommended duration 2-3 hours
Nicely displayed sarcophagi but the various translated brochure did not help the view understand or flow through displays. All the signs are in German, so if you don’t speak German, you’re just wandering through rooms after rooms of intricately made sarcophagi. Most interesting are the sheer amounts of baby/child crypts.

Interesting way to learn about the Hapsburg line. The largest family tomb I have ever visited with hundreds of years and generations of Hapsburgs each buried in a metal sarcophagus, including Maria Theresia and Franz Joseph, as well as Maximilian (who ruled Mexico) and the last Emporer of Austro-Hungary, Karl and his Empress who passed in 1989. Even more recently deceased relatives are buried here as well.
It is one of the best modern art museums I have seen. If you are a fan of Egon Schiele or if you don't know him at all, go to become a fan. Klimt would be also a gift. You can spend hours without realizing it
Somehow this modern art doesn't appeal to me... something smeared on the canvas, as the author was drunk, without any care. And let's look at the masterpieces of Masters such as Botticelli, Ghirlandaio, Michelangelo, Da Vinci or Vasari... this is art with heart put into it... unfortunately, nowadays art has become kitsch and no one will paint such masterpieces... now definitely graffiti is an art similar to what it was centuries ago! These people have a wonderful talent for painting!
This is a fairly good modern art museum. It primarily features Austrian artists, which is nice because you get a good sense of the influence of arts on the culture in the past 100-150 years. There are several famous pieces on display and the building is beautiful. The cost of admission isn't too high, which is nice too.
Hi I couldn't come yesterday as I'm going on the bus again but I'll have a lot more to come and help with a few things on YouTube goofy and the rest is fine too and it was a good idea for the first sound ever of a good thing for me to use it to get more of an idea if I have a lot more of them in my school than I am going through with the kids boys start at a different time in a row
After a short walk through the woods, the villa appears almost like a magical fairytale castle. We rested in the shade of old trees, had our drinks and continued walking though the forest. It is suitable for families, singles, old and young folks.
A fabulous art gallery. Time, thought & effort has gone in to make this museum an absolute delight to visit. Stunning arts & crafts exhibits, including furniture & objects. Also a fair few Klimts & Schieles all tastefully hung in large & natural light filled rooms. One of the best...Great coffee shop too.....

Really great place for kids! The pizzas are freshly made, not expensive, and very good! Highly recommend.
The place is ok for kids but the price is too high, they don't offer "kurzzeitkarten" ( short period of stay) which is a little bit unfair. They only charge you for the "whole day cost" even you only stay for 1 hour. They only have a last minute card which is for the last 2 opening hours but at this time is already kinda chaos and not really good for small children.
Also they're very strict regarding food, even baby food (fruits or crackers) are not allowed inside.
Last.. Parking space is disaster for very expensive entry ticket for this place.

The Kapuzinergruft is a remarkable place - to encounter the sarcophagi almost all the major figures of several centuries of the Habsburg rulers is truly a breath-taking experience for anyone with an interest in history. Perhaps you should do a bit more research than I did; only when organising my pictures did I fully appreciate who some of the individuals were and I completely missed one Habsburg who I would otherwise have liked to have visited. The crypt is also magnificent an an artistic level as some of the sarcophagi are among the most remarkable metal sculpture works I have ever seen. The grandiosity can be a bit overwhelming (Maria Theresa's sarcophagus resembles nothing so much as a barge or a parade float) but the intricacy of the details and the beauty of the sculptures are extraordinary.

It is impressive to see the scale of it all in person. It looks fantastic from the air, contrasting with the uniformity of Viennese buildings, but provides no real use. There are no trees for wildlife to make it a home. No fish in the fountains. Just a tightly-manicured, uninhabitable desert.

It first playland where I was in Europe where I should pay also for parents and children, everywhere take payment only about child! very old renovation, for wardrobe you should pay 5€ and this money not come back! and where I come to one room for children before 4 years with my family- me, my husband and 4 my children ( twins 3 years and 12 and 15 years, one boy say that my oldest children should go away, we are family and like spent time together! Awful, not recommended this place! All step you should pay and not clean place! All my children not like!

Belvedere Garden is one of the beautiful garden I have ever seen, it is well organized with a nice fountain in the middle, there are some chairs for the visitors
What an amazing location! The imperial crypt is a unique travel destination that was a great spot to see. The Hapsburgs were such an important family it’s interesting to see the resting places of people whose names are very recognizable in the history books. Worth the price of admission for sure.

Many emperors and empresses as well as other members of the Hapsburg family are buried here in impressively ornate coffins and free standing tombs. Every one of them has an interesting history worth looking up and reading. There was minimal airflow on the hot day we visited, and some of the rooms got quite stuffy. Photography is thankfully allowed. Recommend buying ticket online. Restrooms are on the premises.

Very nice place to visit all year round. I haven’t been inside Villa but I have seen some weddings happening there. There is a cafe restaurant with beautiful terrace behind the Villa. You could spend all day roaming through park and forests around.
Really cool. We bought tickets online for 10a the next day and showed them at the door and got right in. It is smaller and probably could walk through on your own in 10-15 min without stopping to read anything. All the cryptos are amazing and creepy. Very clean place. Highly recommend seeing it... (also.. there are crypts of children)

Der Hauptarm der Donau und die Neue Donau fließen an dieser Stelle wieder zusammen. Der Blick nach Südwesten verliert sich in den grünen Bändern, welche die Ufer säumen, und lässt an den langen Weg des Wassers bis zum Schwarzen Meer denken.
Boring modern brutalist architecture but exhibition was fascinating. Audio tour SHOULD have numbers for EVERY item as the explanatory text is very low and very small. The supplied audio did not even match the text displayed ?!** Don’t bother. Great views from building entrance AND from top of building !
The rose garden was a stunning display of nature's beauty, with vibrant colors and a fragrant aroma that filled the air. A truly enchanting experience. Beautiful place in the city to sit and relax.

This palace is absolutely beautiful to explore, and you can take a walk all around it. The fountain there is really pretty too, adding to the charm.
One of the most beautiful museum in Vienna. It has 4 flours and rooms are spacious, so it doesn't feel crowded. I'm not into art, but i like this place. You can find a few Klimt's paintings and Picasso's.

Per Maps habe ich dann versucht eine andere Route entlang der Donau flussabwärts zu finden. Dabei bin dann auf einen riesigen Ölteppich gestoßen.
Nicht toll, das gelangt dann vielleicht irgendwann in die Donau, habe ich mir gedacht.
Zum Sackgassen-Radweg: Der ist nicht Familienfreundlich, seitlich geht es tief abwärts in die Donau. 🤕

Super nice experience right in the heart of Vienna. We truly had an amazing experience with the visit. It blends old-time elegance with modernity. Very functional space that suits a wide range of visitors.
Having a few hours of layover at the train station, I really enjoyed visiting Belvedere 21! The exhibition itself is sometimes profound, sometimes absurd, and mostly borderline shitposting and I can vibe with it.
I couldn’t say I explored everything, but I had a really great time! Staff are nice and vibes are chill. Will recommend to people who enjoy modern art, shitposting and revolutions.

Nice castle / museum to visit. Unfortunately the brochure and help texts were only on German. Outside near the garden (small one) were a restaurant. To reach the place with bus you have to walk the last kilometer, but it’s worth of it.
This is a beautiful building in a nice Park. If you have been to the main Sisi landmarks, the inside exhibition will not impress you too much. The thing that will shock you even after many years in vienna is the typical rudeness of all staff - from the ticket sales to the inside security...

This is a nice rose garden. The only good time to visit is end of May - beginning of June when the flowers are blooming. There are many rose plants of various colours. Overall there is a better garden with roses in Vienna but this one is also nice and conveniently located if you are visiting Schönbrunn park or the zoo
Hermesvilla is a really beautiful place. Very peaceful and pleasant environment. The complex is surrounded by big forest. Gardens around the villa are nicely decorated with beautiful flowers, different colors, and all kinds of roses and other bushes cut in different shapes. On both sides of the villa, you can see a few sculptures and fountains as well. From the villa, you can use different paths for walking through the forest. In the forest, it is also possible to see wild animals. All recommendations.
We went on the 1st Sunday of the month so it was free. Get ready for a walk in the forest to get there. The place itself is not as glorious as other Austrian castles and villas but it’s charming. It definitely is not worth it to go in a day when it’s not free. The nature around and the garden are beautiful.
Beautiful villa surrounded by nature, it wasn’t crowded because we visitee it on weekday. If you want to go inside of villa (museum), the entry fee is 8€.

Personally, I don't think it's worth the single-ticket (~€9) but the 3 Belvedere combined-ticket (~€25) was the better option.

The café was so good I didn’t go into the galleries. Also excellent architecture opposite which was great for drawing while I enjoyed a very long breakfast. By the way, it’s worth visiting just to see the lampshades.

I would say it’s worth the visit if you really like (or want to explore) contemporary art. Place is not that big. You could do the whole tour in 30 mins to 2 hours. There are permanent and temporary exhibitions.

Sehr schöner Brunnen auf der Freyung in Wien, auf der aus weißen Kaiserstein gefertigten Säule steht die gekrönte Austria, das personifizierte Sinnbild für Österreich mit Speer und Schild. Die vier Figuren darunter stellen die vier wichtigen Flüsse (Donau, Elbe, Padus und Weichsel) des Habsburgerreiches dar.

Bronze statue above a limestone and granite fountain. The main statue is looking in the direction of the Hofburg. The figures, lower down, represent the Elbe, Danube, Po and Vistula , each of which passed through the Austrian empire at the time.
Nice restaurant with average food, staff is friendly and courteous, prices are ok.

Das andere Ende der Donauinsel. Sehr ruhig dort, aber bitte vorsichtig sein, wenn man mit dem Rad unterwegs ist.Mit kleinen Kindern auf dem Fahrrad würde ich dort nicht hinfahren.

To finish our first day in Wien we did a walk in the Belvedere gardens. The gardens are free to enter and they offer some good spot to take pictures with the castle in the background.

The place is very calm and beautiful
With all this pandemic was hard to explain to children why we couldn't go there. Now that is open is great. More plastic balls, new attractions, a new Lego style pieces to build. We did spend like 5 hours there. You can also eat so you can stay a whole day.
Historic statue located in the center of Vienna, the Leopoldsbrunnen fountain was built during the construction of the Plague Column.
Südliches Ende der Donauinsel. Man kann es nur zu Fuß oder mit dem Rad erreichen. Das Ende ist relativ unspektakulär, es befindet sich dort nur ein kleiner Turm des Hafens. Obwohl hier immer viele Leute kleine Pausen machen, gibt es keine Sitzbänke, man muss sich mit den Steinen zufriedengeben. Die Aussicht von diesem Punkt aus ist besonders an schönen Tagen wirklich toll, oft fahren sogar Schiffe vorbei. Das letzte Stück des Radweges bis hierher ist leider nicht so gut ausgebaut. Ansonsten ist dieser Ort aber auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert, wenn man gerade im unteren Bereich der Donauinsel unterwegs ist.

The Austriabrunnen is a fountain in the old town of Vienna. The fountain is not that big, but is dwarfed by the centrepiece of the fountain. The sculpture at the centre is a glorification of the Austrian Habsburg Empire. The sculpture features a central column topped with a sculpture of the female personification of Austria, holding a spear and shield. Just below her and around the pillar are four allegories of the four main rivers of the Habsburg Empire. These are the River Elbe, River Danube , River Vistula and the River Po. Their positions symbolising the central position of the Habsburg Empire in Europe.
The fountain is not in central Vienna and thus, not quite the tourist circuit. Worth a look if you’re in the area.

This fountain is dedicated to Saint Leopold, the saint credited with the discovery of the Veil of St. Agnes and founding the Klosterneuburg Abbey. The centrepiece of the fountain is a bronze statue of Saint Leopold, with a flag in his hand, looking at the design of the abbey on a piece of paper held up by a youth. The sculpture stands atop a pedestal with two relief sculpture depicting scenes of his aforementioned legacy.
I think the fountain is okay, it's on one of the main tourist streets of Vienna, on Graben. I wouldn't go out of the way to see it. It's not much of a fountain either.

Hier beginnt die Donauinsel bei km 0,0. Bei km 21,5 endet sie in Langenzersdorf! Aber egal ob Anfang oder Ende, die Donauinsel ist ein herrliches Gebiet mit wunderbaren Möglichkeiten für uns.

Too many people. Once you bought a coin for attractions for 50 cent, you can't change it back for a money if you didn't use it.

The Palmenhaus Schönbrunn is a large greenhouse in Vienna, Austria featuring plants from around the world. It opened in 1882. It is the most prominent of the four greenhouses in Schönbrunn Palace Park, and is also among the largest botanical exhibits of its kind in the world, with around 4,500 plant species.
Heaven for kids! It is a huge indoor soft play and outdoor playground. Restaurant on site, lockers in the changing area. I gave it four stars as the place lacks the aircon. We have visited it during summer time and it was roasting inside, think it was hotter than outside. There is a very monument called the Austria Fountain at Freyung Square that is worth checking out if you are visiting this area of the city. The fountain is the works of German sculptor Ludwig von Schwanthaler and was constructed in 1846.
Here you see a statue of a female figure with imperial robe, shield and sword. She is the personification of the Austrian Empire of the early 19th century.
Below is a pedestal with tree branch and leave ornamentation, surrounded by four additional bronze figures representing the four main rivers which were within the realm of Hapsburgs at that time. These include the Danube, Elbe, Po and Vistula Rivers.
The pedestal stands upon a rough, earth-like base from which water spouts into a shallow basin beneath. There are thin steps in the shape of a pentagon then surround the fountain allowing up close access to the fountain.
In the end, this is a neat fountain to see even during winter months when it is not in operation. You can enjoy viewing the five bronze figures and easily imagine what it looks like during warmer months of the year when filled with water.

Leopoldsbrunnen (Leopold's Fountain) is one of monuments along Grabenstraße in the city centre of Vienna, it can be seen on the east side of the Plague Column.
Here you will find an octagonal shaped basin with a bronze figure of St. Leopold who is holding a flag in his left hand while looking over a papers being held in his right. There is a young boy standing next to him, peering upwards at the saint.
Constructed in 1680 by Austrian sculptor Johann Frühwirth, the stone statue of St. Leopold was later replaced with a lead sculpture by Johann Martin Fischer in 1804.
While not as impressive or interesting as the beautiful Baroque Plague Column nearby, Leopold's Fountain is interesting to see, as is the similar Joseph's Fountain, situated on the other side of the Plague Column. Give both a few minutes viewing while spending time on Grabenstraße in Vienna.

Nice rose garden. Many varieties of roses (but not so many as in Volksgarten). Quite a lot of standard roses.
Nice little castle, but you can't go to the backyard-park & the cafè is quite close to the street.
