Great tennis courts. They need to fix the lights for the practice wall court. Always busy too.

Nice little connecting park to the W&OD Trail. Plenty of deer, some turtles, rabbits, herons, hawks, foxes, and ducks. Paved paths and well spaced benches and trash cans. A group comes out regularly to maintain the native plants.
Beautiful park in North VA.

A few lakes - one with koi fish. They have a light show at night on certain holidays.

Super fun! The staff and animals were so friendly and pleasant. We really enjoyed driving our own vehicle through the range and feeding the deer, bison, and the other larger animals.
Not well maintained, lot of trees down and no clear pathway. Led to a neighborhood, unless I missed something.

A calm and relaxing place away from the city life. A walk through the beautifully curated gardens and pathway is just what you need to put your mind at peace and spend time around with nature. The statues, lake , sculptures all add to the overall beauty of the place and each scene is curated to perfection.

NOVA Wild is the new Roer’s Safari but much, much better. The grounds are better kept and the animals seem better cared for. The new Nova Wild owner, Tara (who is a Reston local,) was super welcoming and accommodating. She never imagined being a business owner of a zoo, but she’s doing a great job! You may scoff at the $20 feed bucket but it is 100% worth the price for the experience you and your kids will have driving through the safari, and it should last until the end (unless a pushy llama grabs it from your hand)! I was a little concerned about my car getting scratched but the animals were super gentle. Though I did, however, leave with a few tufts of hair on the windows and a 3” spot of mud, but no biggie. The gift shop items and snacks are reasonably priced. There is plenty of seating and shade for those concerned about being on their feet for a long time and NOVA Wild is accessible. Some of my son’s favorites beside the safari drive, were the tortoise, cheetahs and capybara (I think it was a capybara!) Noticed a birthday party letting out- seems like this would be a really fun option for a kids’ birthday party and will keep that in mind! Looking forward to the next visit.

I didn’t buy tickets ahead of time. I just showed up. Tickets are bought inside the black building. You will get red wrist bands and a bucket to feed the animals.

Once you have your wristbands and food you get back on your car and head over to the safari to drive around a loop. You get to see llamas, donkeys, cows, bulls, deer among other animals.

Total for 1 adult, 1 senior and 1 child was $71.20. I don’t know if I was charged an extra person or if the food is $20. Since it was only 3 of us.

Adult admission is $20
Senior $15
Child $15

I was excited I didn’t notice this until later.

My MIL, my son & I had so much fun!

Don’t let the bad reviews keep you from coming here.

We did come on a weekday like around 10.30ish am.

There was no wait. The animals were eager to fed, they came to the car fairly quickly.

I was a little nervous to feed the cows but once I got over it it was amazing!!

We noticed someone dropped the food bucket which caused some of the animals to try to gain control over it. Please don’t do this. There is a stand in the front to return the bucket.

I didn’t see restrooms other than a porter potty. And to wash our hands there was a portable wash station. Not much water came out so glad we had extra water bottles with us. Plenty of soap.

We brought our own food and eat inside the zoo under shade.

Would definitely come back again.
You'll feel like you're in another world! Having documented many weddings at Meadowlark, I've found it to be one of the most diverse locations for photography in the DMV area. Plus, whether for full weddings or small elopements, the meadowlark team is always easy to work 👍

There are lots of events in town green, e.g., Viva Vienna, October Fest, Halloween parade.
I'm a NOVA based wedding photographer and have captured several engagement sessions at Meadowlark! I love this venue because it's has a BUNCH of variety for portraits throughout the garden. If you have a hard time walking, it may not be the venue for you, simply because it's a larger garden and has a big hill. You need a permit to have your engagement photos here, so be prompt with chatting with their office for a time that works best for you and your photographer!

I'm not sure whether to rate this high or low. It's a small wooded area with a trail or two and a pretty stream. On one side is a quiet, affluent, comfortable suburban neighborhood, and on the other is a sea of concrete and steel, with a metro stop, car dealerships, office buildings, gas station, and major highway. It's kind of trippy to walk through, and kind of miraculous that it exists at all. I think the Pokestop landmark is "Tyson's last forest" and that's what it feels like, the last crumb of the living world.

1/3 of the zoo is still in construction. Drive thru safari is open & can feed animals. Recommend to have some wet wipes ready. I arrived there about an hour before closing time, but camel ride & aviary were already closed.

My grandson walks home from school through the park every day. He and his Mom have seen deer, fish, and butterflies. Today, when I asked him where he wanted to go on an outing he said, “To the wild woods park!”

Beautiful experience. The park is well kept, peaceful, full of nature in its natural habitat & so many great photo ops!!! Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for an inexpensive outdoor adventure. Plenty of parking, kid friendly & there are even some hidden benches for a nice spot to get away with a good book if you need some alone time!

I have been coming here since I was a child, I have brought countless kids here. with the New ownership they are making some major improvements. Enclosures are being upgraded and all animals are getting bigger spaces. We can DRIVE our own car thru the park and feed the animals- like a mini safari! The bucket of food cost a bit, but it is a big bucket and you can share it. They failed to mention no camel rides on Monday on the website. I can see where they will be adding exhibits and I look forward to coming back again and again. 5 stars when I come back and see more upgrades!!

Fun local zoo. Great for kids. Drive through safari was a great time. Be sure to get the animal feed so you can be up close and personal with the critters...it also helps get the geese out of the way as you're driving through 😉
This is a lovely place with beautiful grounds that provides an invigorating escape into nature. My family has enjoyed coming in all four seasons. Dogs are welcome every third Wednesday, we took our pup today and he loved it. We enjoy the sculptures, wildlife (various birds, turtles, koi), children’s garden, bonsai pavilion and much more. It’s a regional treasure!

Loved this place very nice for the kids the Safari experience is amazing!!’
The reason i put 4 stars because there are not much shaded places to seat with the kids and the Camel ride i was charged 20$ for a 10 seconds round. I don’t think they should do it longer but at least don’t charge that much.
I've lived in Reston for a while but just started riding a bicycle recently and these trails are such a gift. You don't have to worry about traffic or congestion. It's just very pretty. I was told you could go a lot farther. I went close to Vienna but everybody else on the trail is so friendly and it's just nice to get away from the car traffic. I've been back twice in the last couple days and I love it!

Great little park in the middle of Vienna. Cute store.
This place is stunning! Very peaceful and relaxing. The staff there are very nice as well and I love that it’s free range and so much to explore. We had such a great time and I definitely will recommend this garden to everyone I know.
Cute little historical store and museum. I love getting gifts here to give to out of town guests, especially the Vienna tea towels.

This place is amazing! Fun for the entire family! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. the place is very clean considering all the animals! I highly recommend the trip, it will totally be worth it!
While visiting family in McLean, VA this past weekend, we stopped at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens. What a beautiful place to visit!

The Visitors center has some background information on how the Botanical Gardens came to be and also some nature exhibits.

Paved paths lead you to a greenhouse, butterfly garden, through beautiful flowers, and to a pond with geese, fish, and turtles. Multiple benches are available for those who want to rest or take in a great view!
Makes great use of a small space. With the museum pieces, candy and games, and used books, there is something for everyone

Poor management!!! There are 3 major problems with the new ownership and management…

Rude staff: 3 cars behind me in the drive through said they didn’t pay for their tickets. They were letting everyone in without any tickets. I unfortunately paid for my tickets online. When I tried to ask where to get the food to feed the animals during the drive through, the young lady literally yelled at me and scared my kids and my wife in the car. She was sooo rude and didn’t care when I told her that we need to get food for the animals and that everyone in the line still didn’t pay and were confused where to pay.

Safety is questionable: the animals with the very long horns twice bumped into my car and found a couple of scratches. Was it worth it? Absolutely not.

Chaos and non-existent organization: all the animals were gathered at the very entrance. Then for 90% of the drive through not a single animal. So naturally all visitors started slowing their cars at the entrance. While the rude staff yelling at everyone for no freaking reason.

I really miss the old “safari roarers” before this terrible new management. Wasted $150 today for nothing!!!!! Got yelled at, kids had no fun, and had to deal with a very disappointed family day.
Great shopping for local gifts from Vienna, VA. Pottery, hand crafted ornaments and other lovely gifts. Local museum upstairs has a lot ro say about the history of Vienna. Fascinating!
Loved these gardens. Very. Beautiful and relaxing. Highly recommend, bring a camera for lovely photos, great lighting. Visit solo with friends or family.
Don't forget to see the turtles. You can find educational exhibits inside the Pavillion or in the wild in the ponds.
Site of concerts for Viva Vienna every memorial day weekend.

There are no restrooms, picnic areas, playgrounds or parking area for this park. It’s a tiny strip of woods with a path between office buildings and private homes. If you want to enjoy a nicer area in Vienna, suggest parking in the lot at the Vienna Community Center and enjoying the much longer and more pleasant bike and walking bath.

Don’t be disappointed! This is a small strip of trees with a short path between back yards and a huge credit union building that dead ends. There are no facilities and there is also no real parking. Not sure why anyone would drive to try and find it, when there are far nicer places to spend time—like Carderock, Great Falls, Bull Run, etc., that are designed for people to visit. Don’t waste your gas.
The connector Trail with the foot /bike bridge opens up the W&OD trail to several neighborhoods that were previously unreachable.

And walkers /riders on the W&OD now have access to the lovely Meadowlark Regional Park.

A win-win for all.

This is a very cute farm/zoo! My boys (2 1/2 and 11 months) enjoyed it quite a bit! Animals are all very friendly and come right up to you! They have some unique animals too, such as cheetahs and various adorable monkeys. The safari park was fun, the bison and llamas come right up to the window and will eat out of your hand! They have a huge pond with a single white goose, enormous koi fish and lots of turtles and geese. For $20 you get a large bowl of feed to all the animals!

The only thing I didn’t get to visit was the budgie/chicken/peacock enclosure. It was closed for maintenance, something to look forward to on the next trip! Everyone was very friendly and informative. Kids under 3 are free. Definitely a fun place to visit and will come again soon with family and friends!
Marvelous place for a delightful memory. The people working there are exceptionally happy to have you come in and browse. The archaeological dig, adjacent to the building, is fascinating.

All in all, well worth a stroll inside the store.

FYI, they do not allow small dogs inside, even if you carry your dog.

My family and I had an awesome time here this morning at 10am. We did both the driving safari and walking around, both were terrific experiences. Our 3 year old loved every minute and every exhibit, but especially feeding the animals and walking through the avian exhibit.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the area was clean and the animals were obviously well cared for and well trained. The prices were reasonable and worth it. A small bucket of animal food ran us $20. We had a blast and look forward to checking it out again soon!

It is a big park that has a trail and a field. The trail is over 2 miles long and the entrance to the park is on the W&OD trail. You can park at the Hunter Station Site to get to the entrance. There are a lot of people walking their dogs on the trail.
Just FYI for everyone, there is no parking available at/near this pinned location/trailhead.

Little did we know of this hidden gem. We got to explore the beautiful trails in this park. We started on wo&d at vienna community centre towards West, 0.5 mile walk on the trail, found a way to this park. We thought it was just a small walk way. But it’s not. The trail was almost 0.75 mile till the end & in between we found a wooden trail walk way. That path was also similar in length. The park was so beautiful & calm. The water stream beside the path , bridges & the peaceful area around was so positive. Just love walking & running in this trails.

I stayed at a hotel close by for work and thought I would give this park a shot since I was painfully missing nature spending my last ten years in Maine. Well, it didn't disappoint! Horribly noisy and under development for the expansion of yet more commercial properties. I pity the poor people that choose to live in this cesspool area of the country. Why you do this to yourselves, I'll never understand. Did see a squirrel.

This park is very short in terms of paved walking path. Deer trails cross the woods but this is more of a nature preserve than a visit friendly park.

All my family love this place, we come here to have some fun and peace.
In the spring the birds sing. In the fall the trees are colorful. In the summer it is humid. The winter is a sheet of snow with bunny trails.
Not sure who has placed pictures of river and falls here, but its very misleading. The stream does end up connecting to Potomac and great falls but it's pretty far away. This one is just a nice trail in the backyards of some houses. There is NO Parking!!!
Nice walk through the W&OD to get there.

Neat little nostalgic general store with old fashioned “penny candy,” a used bookstore in the basement, along with cool antique items to view in the museum section. Neat information about women’s voting found upstairs too. Be sure to check out the painted stormwater drain located out front curbside. Vienna has a very active community artist program. ❤️🎨

Very beautiful, worth a visit, specially middle of spring.
A good place for a family time.
What a great little piece of history! The shop sells cute Virginia-themed gifts, snack foods, and more. The museum has wonderful local exhibits on Women’s voting and (until the end of the year) the 1950s! Adorable and friendly, this museum is right off the W & O.D. Trail. This park is more for recreational. The trails are not all paved, and the sections that are wooded is not always clear. It often has fallen tree/branches. I which the trail around this park is entirely paved. Otherwise, this park is very clean with a few tennis courts, and parking lots.
This is a park that allows you to feel like you got outside. Plus it is in your neighborhood.

This is a nice narrow trail between homes and some natural area along a creek. It is great for residence but not recommended making a trip out to this park, or you might be disappointed. I was in the area and decided to stop by. I didn't find parking, at least not legally. I ended parking in the Our Lady of Good Council Catholic Church parking lot right at one end if the park.
Great place to take a nature walk.
A nice little branch off the W&OD Trail that connects you to both Meadowlark Park and Wolf Trap and surrounding trails. There are portions that are directly on the road, but fairly easy to ride and with light car traffic. The trail is quite hilly, so you will feel your legs.

Bicyclists Beware! The connector trail and bridge is wonderful for providing access to the W&OD trail ... but Meadowlark Road is very dangerous with hilly terrain and two blind curves, so bicyclists who want to proceed past Abbey Oak Drive toward the gardens should always use the Meadowlark Gardens Perimeter Trail as intended by the County.
